When a heartless killer ruins a Valentine’s Day wedding, teddy bear shop manager Sasha Silverman vows to solve the crime . . . At the Silver Bear Shop and Factory, Sasha will be selling plenty of bride and groom teddy bears come springtime. But this Valentine’s Day weekend, she’d take any of those silent, stuffed couples over the real thing. Sasha and her sister Maddie are bridesmaids at Cissy … Davidson’s upcoming wedding in Silver Hollow. Cissy is fuming over the worst choice of best man—the jerk who broke her sister Debbie’s heart—and the groom-to-be won’t budge in his decision. At the rehearsal dinner you could cut the tension with a wedding cake knife. That is, until best man Dylan is found dead, impaled with an ice pick. Although jilted Debbie is the most likely suspect—the blood on her dress doesn’t help her case—the bride begs Sasha to prove her sister’s innocence. Great book! Sasha and Maddie are bridesmaids in the wedding of Cissy Davison. Cissy is very demanding and the one main issue is the best man, Dylan, who was once engaged to Cissy’s sister, Debbie. Debbie still holds a major grudge with Dylan regarding him calling off the wedding. On the night of the rehearsal dinner, Maddie and Sasha find Dylan stabbed to death with an ice pick. In addition, the wedding rings go missing. Debbie is the prime suspect in Dylan’s death, though the groom’s cousin, Frank, is a close second with his temper. Cissy asks Sasha to help prove Debbie’s innocence. Another wedding party member, Vanessa, is later found dead in one of the wine barrels at the local brewery. Are there two killers or just one? This wedding seems to be cursed, though Sasha does continue to investigate. Also, a couple of men have come by the teddy bear shop looking for a specific kind of teddy bear, which gas Sasha suspicious and asking the police for help to find out what is going on. Sasha and Maddie also organize a fundraiser for brain cancer research after finding out that their cousin’s five year old daughter has a brain tumor. An interesting story with a killer that I never would have guessed. I love this series and the teddy bear theme. I look forward to more of this series and seeing what’s next for Sasha and Maddie!
It’s almost Valentine’s Day and Sasha and her sister Maddie are going to be bridesmaids at the wedding of Cissy Davidson. Unfortunately the best man is the man who broke Cissy’s sister Debbie’s heart. Debbie is very verbal about her feelings for him so when he is found murdered she’s the prime suspect. Who wanted him dead? Why do it before the wedding? Is Debbie really guilty? Sasha does some investigating of her own to try and find the guilty person. I love all the characters! And the teddy bear factory! Great mystery that will keep you guessing! Definitely recommend!
Another, interesting, chaotic mystery thru the eyes of Sasha Silverman & sister Maddie are both in their friends Valentine’s Day wedding as bridesmaids. The Silverman sisters are involved in a wedding, that has the diva, shallow bride. The Silver Bear Shop is also planning a Chocolates Bear Tea the Sunday after the wedding. The bride continues to make changes throughout the wedding week. However, between the demands the bride is making and the fact the wedding party doesn’t get along, it is turning out to be anything but fun. Still, Sasha wasn’t expecting one of the members of the wedding party to turn up dead at the rehearsal dinner in the woman’s restroom. Of course it had to be one of the Silverman sisters to find the groomsman. During the investigation, the main suspect is the Bride’s Maid of Honor, her Sister. Cecily has now asked Sasha to investigate to prove her sister is innocence’s

It’s almost Valentine’s Day in Silver Hollow, Michigan. Perfect time for getting married. Sasha and her sister are bridesmaids in a friend’s upcoming wedding. However, the wedding party is unexpectedly plagued by murder. To complicate matters, the maid of honor is the main suspect. The bride-to-be is desperate for Sasha to save the wedding. Can the sisters identify the guilty person before the first notes of the wedding march? Cozy up in your favorite chair with your beverage of choice. Enjoy!
Weddings and brides are a pain most of the time; add a bride that makes demands that are a bit outrageous, and, surprisingly, she isn’t the victim of murder. Unfortunately for Sasha, in the new addition to the “Shamelessly Adorable Teddy Bear Mystery” series, Wedding Bear Blues she has to tolerate the demands to make everyone happy. Then just when she thought things couldn’t get any worse, the best man is murdered, and it’s up to her to find the killer and save the wedding.
The main character Sasha, her sister, Maddie, and the entire family are delightful characters. But the bride, groom, and their entourage are almost unbearable! It comes as no surprise when the best man is killed or when Sasha is put on the spot and asked to solve the murder so the wedding can be rescheduled. Even though she isn’t very fond of the bride and doesn’t care about any of the other bridal party members, except for her sister, she agrees to help.
With everything Sasha has going on, the bear factory, her aunt and uncle and their sick daughter visiting, a fundraiser to coordinate, and the demands of her personal life, she doesn’t have time for a demanding bride or a murder investigation. Suspects are everywhere, and evidence is almost none existent. There are a great many turns and twists that will keep readers flipping the page and trying to figure out who didn’t have a motive to kill the best man, and later on, a bridesmaid.
In the end, Sasha uncovers the killer’s identity and gets a confession witnessed by several people. The wedding takes place after several attempts, and the bride is at long last happy and undemanding. The fundraiser is a great success and brought in donated teddy bears from everywhere and money to help not only Sasha’s young cousin but other people living with cancer. All-in-all, everything worked out for the best. Sasha can put away her detective cap once again. Wedding Bear Blues is a hit.
Another good installment to the series. If this is the first book of the series anyone reads, it’s guaranteed to make them want to read the others.
Sasha and Maddie Silverman are bridesmaids in Cissy Davison’s upcoming Valentine’s wedding. However, Cissy isn’t happy with her groom’s choice for his best man as Dylan broke her sister Debbie’s heart. Debbie then becomes a prime suspect when Dylan is found murdered at the rehearsal dinner. Sasha is once again drawn into an investigation as she Hope’s to prove Debbie’s innocence. Can she find the killer before the wedding is postponed for good?
I’ve really enjoyed this series and this book is no exception. I love how close-knit the Silverman family is and the way they’re always there for each other. The book’s well-written with wonderful characters you’ll love getting to know. The story pulled me in from the beginning and kept me guessing throughout. This book is an excellent cozy mystery and I’m looking forward to more from this series. I highly recommend both book and series which I suggest you read in order for the most enjoyment and benefit.
Wedding Bear Blues was another charming addition to the Shamelessly Adorable Teddy Bear Mystery series.
Valentine’s Day is one of the Silver Bear Shop’s busiest holidays and this year is no exception. Sasha Silverman doesn’t know how she’ll get everything she has planned done which is in large part due to being a bridesmaid in Cissy Davison’s Valentine’s Day wedding. Cissy is a demanding bride and when her groom won’t budge on his choice of best man, the scoundrel who broke her sister Debbie’s heart, she’s anything but happy. When the best man is found dead at the rehearsal dinner, Debbie becomes the prime suspect which prompts Cissy to beg Sasha to prove Debbie’s innocence.
The mystery of who killed Dylan, the best man, was well done with several potential suspects. Debbie is the obvious suspect due to her public hatred of the man and several altercations between the pair leading up to the wedding. With Sasha working to clear Debbie, she takes a look at the other people in the wedding party since the killer has to be among them. Dylan was a jerk, so he definitely had problems with a majority of the people involved in the wedding, meaning any one of them could have killed him. I enjoyed Sasha’s process for eliminating suspects and how she wasn’t opposed to admitting she could be wrong about someone. Ultimately I ended up being surprised by the killer’s identity as I had another person pegged as the killer. I will say the ending and reveal were a bit anti-climactic. I would have preferred a more suspenseful ending, but overall I thought the story was well done.
The characters in this series are fantastic and I enjoy them more with each book. Sasha’s Aunt Eve in particular is a favorite of mine. I like that Sasha’s friends and family know she can’t stay out of an investigation involving her friends. The fact they all help her where possible is nice and it’s great to see how supportive they are of each other. This book does have a bit less of a focus on the Silver Bear Shop than some of the previous installments in the series as the murder has nothing to do with the shop. I do enjoy the shop, who wouldn’t with adorable teddy bears everywhere, so I am happy that the set up for the next book appears to show it will be a main focus in the next book.
Overall Wedding Bear Blues was an excellent read and I’m looking forward to reading the next book in the series when it comes out.

Wedding Bear Blues by Meg Macy is another beary-filled wonderment for this small village.
Can Sasha solve a murder so the wedding can continue?
Sasha Silverman
Sasha Silverman is our sleuth who’s back to solve another mystery. She is the manager of her family’s teddy bear factory right there in their small village. I still like the fact that Sasha is different from other sleuths in the way that she doesn’t seem to have a crush on the detective but also in the way that she handles her involvements in the cases.
Sasha is trying to do what the bride wants while running the factory and dealing with a lot of busy business during Valentine’s and for a while after that. Especially figuring out how to keep people coming to their store. I like that because she’s the only sleuth that I know of who works at a teddy bear factory where they actually make the bears there on site.
The Mystery
At the rehearsal dinner, the best man is murdered, and the bride’s parents task Sasha to keep their other daughter, the maid of honor, from going to jail. Sasha has a fun time trying to get people to actually talk about it when they don’t want to talk about it. The police aren’t having any luck either. Sasha ends up thinking that she knows who did it but was proven wrong. There are so many things happening in this village. Who knows what else will happen as Sasha tries to solve who would kill the best man.
Four Stars
Wedding Bear Blues by Meg Macy is a fun-filled mystery with a lot of teddy bear humor. I liked that Sasha got to be a teddy bear doctor who was super cute. Ms. Macy has done a great job of bringing these characters and this town in Michigan to life. She does it in such a fun way. Sasha is a hoot, and her sister actually helped a lot with solving this crime. I guessed who did it sort of right away, but I talked myself out of it. Mostly because I couldn’t think of the motive. I am giving this book five stars and recommending it to anyone that wants to read it.

I just love teddy bears so this series always makes me happy. This time Sasha is getting ready done a bridesmaid in a friends wedding while also tackling the busy Valentine season. Things are going a little rough as the best man causes issue after issue due to his bad behavior. This comes to a head at the rehearsal dinner when her sister and her find him dead in the bathroom. Curiosity causes her to start asking questions finding some surprising answers. Full of interest characters and adorable teddy bears that will keep you turning the page making for a fabulously fun read. Perfect for fans of cozy mysteries. I totally loved it so I give it 5/5 stars.
Dollycas’s Thoughts
It’s a beary interesting time in Silver Hollow. Bears are popular Valentine’s Day gifts but the Silver Bear Shop and Factory is planning ahead for Spring. With both Sasha and Maddie standing up in their friend’s Cissy Davidson’s Valentine’s wedding, marriage and anniversaries are on the girl’s minds. Bride and groom bears would be fantastic for spring. The could even be personalized. The girls are also excited about the Chocolate Bear Bar they are hosting for Chocolair, the new chocolate shop in town.
As Cissy’s wedding draws near, there are many plans coming up – a shower, complete with Botox treatments, the bachelor party poker game, the wedding rehearsal, and the following dinner, all before the big event. Bridezilla Cissy has a big problem with her groom’s choice for the best man. Dylan Campbell is a womanizer who broke her sister Debbie’s heart. By the time the rehearsal dinner rolls around more than just Debbie and Cissy have issues with Dylan. When he is found dead in the middle of the dinner in the women’s bathroom no less, Debbie may be at the top of the suspect list but there are several other names following hers. Cissy begs Sasha to prove Debbie didn’t do it but she also wants the case wrapped up quickly so she can get hitched as soon as possible.
It is always fun to catch up with the Silverman family. This time the author introduces a plethora of new characters. Family visiting from out of town, the wedding party and their families, along with one big dog, and some strange men coming into the shop looking for a certain type of teddy bear. The author does an excellent job at keeping each character unique which I really appreciated because it was so easy to keep everyone straight and how they connected to other characters. Sasha and Maddie put up with a lot from Cissy and they definitely had much more patience than I ever would have had with the woman. I did enjoy that Jay and Sasha’s relationship was more present in the story and getting stronger. It was also nice to see Maddie with a man and that the four of them did things together and it felt very comfortable. Their aunt and uncle came to town with heavy hearts as a family member has a huge medical crisis. Without missing a beat, the girl’s come up with a great idea, and the family and the entire community gets on board. I found that part of the story especially heartwarming.
The murder mystery was a twisted one. I knew there was some underlying secret that would blow the mystery wide open but until everything was revealed I just couldn’t piece the clues together in a sensical way. I eliminated suspects only to bring them back on to my personal list a chapter or two later. A few characters really pushed my buttons and I wanted them to be guilty. The bride’s dog plays an amusing role throughout the story. There are also a couple of subplots woven into the story that added a bit of intrigue. I thought they were kinda unnecessary but one was there to set up the start for the next book in the series.
Ms. Macy always gives her readers a fun and entertaining story with captivating characters. Well-written with an emphasis on family Wedding Bear Blues is a true testament to that. While the book reads well on its own, I recommend reading the series in order to get to know this beary lovable family from the start.
Sasha is serving as a bride’s maid for “the wedding event of the winter,” when she and her sister Maddie discover the body of the almost universally disliked best man. There is no shortage of suspects from among the many women of the bridal party who admit to a past with him or the men of the bridal party who felt cheated during a bachelor party poker game.
Once again Meg Macy has created a murder mystery that is thought out and well organized, leaving several feasible suspects to keep the reader guessing until the very end. Like always, the character subplots and the interactions of the town’s people are the life of the story. While the whodunnit fuels the story, I was really very interested in the new shops in town, the new neighbors, and the new gossip. It is small touches like that that will keep this series going forward. That plus adorable bears that I wish I could order.
So, why should you read this book? The author has a captivating writing style and has offered an array of colorful characters along with a genuinely interesting and suspenseful plot. There is substantial mention of the previous books in the series, but this could probably be read alone with few issues.
Rating: 4 out of 5.

WEDDING BEAR BLUES by Meg Macy
The Fourth Shamelessly Adorable Teddy Bear Mystery
It’s almost Valentine’s Day and Silver Hollow is host to plenty of activities from a Chocolate Bear Bar to a wedding complete with Bridezilla! Sasha Silverman and her sister Maddie get to be bridesmaids and are eyewitness to crazy demands and outrageous behavior. The best man is more of a worst man and, as the bride-to-be feared, ruins her wedding by getting killed at the rehearsal dinner! The mother of the bride insists that Sasha can find the murderer so between creating new designs for the plush bears at her family’s company, helping her family, and spending time with her boyfriend and dogs, Sasha finds herself in the midst of another murder investigation.
A wedding filled with dysfunctional family members is the center of WEDDING BEAR BLUES. A bridezilla, a bratty child, and a dog who runs amok, along with more concerning issues, such as infidelity and domestic violence, color the mystery. Sasha would be better off staying away from the whole mess! In fact, with multiple subplots, Sasha spends a good part of the book dealing with things apart from the wedding and murder. While the subplots are interesting, they don’t really add to the mystery at hand. In fact, one of them could easily have been developed into its own story!
I like Sasha and her whole family, especially as they pull together through good times and bad. The wedding party, apart from Sasha and her sister, are also close knit, but not necessarily in a good way. It’s interesting to see the connections within that group, and how they unravel. Of course, my favorite characters are the animals, including the stuffed bears produced at the Silver Bear Shop.
With its shamelessly adorable teddy bears and a matrimonial murder WEDDING BEAR BLUES is a Valentine’s Day treat.

Wedding Bear Blues by Meg Macy has Sasha Silverman and her sister, Maddie as bridesmaids in their friend, Cissy Davison’s wedding. It is a busy week leading up to Valentine’s Day for Sasha at the Silver Bear Shop and Factory with everyone searching for the perfect gift for their Valentine. Sasha also has a tour to give and they are hosting a Chocolate Bear Bar on Sunday for Chocolair, the new chocolate shop in town. At the rehearsal dinner, Maddie and Sasha enter the ladies’ room to find groomsman, Dylan Campbell dead in one of the stalls. With Debbie Davison in the hot seat with the police, Cissy begs Sasha to help. Sasha, of course, cannot resist a mystery. Wedding Bear Blues is the 4th A Teddy Bear Mystery. It can be read on its own if you are new to the series. I thought this charming cozy was well-written with developed characters and adorable teddy bears. I enjoyed all the cozy elements that make up this entertaining tale: Sasha’s family, her pets, the community, chocolate, teddy bears, food, and Sasha’s beau. These elements make for a rich and lively story. The mystery was appealing. There is a dead groomsman with multiple suspects. I am amazed that a group of people did not get together to off this man sooner. There is a secondary mystery (of sorts) involving mystery men who wish to purchase a certain type of teddy bear. Sasha is certain they are up to no good. I enjoyed the humor scattered throughout the story (who doesn’t love a book that makes them laugh). Wedding Bear Blues is a beartastic cozy with wedding woes, seamingly innocent bear sales, doggie doo doo overload, a beastly bridezilla, a tiny terror, and tasty chocolate teddy bears.
Wedding Bear Blues by Meg Macy is book four in the A Teddy Bear Mystery series. It can be read as a stand alone.
Sasha and her sister, Maddie, have been roped into being bridesmaid for thier bridezilla friend, Cissy. Cissy wants everyone to follow her orders when it comes to her wedding rehearsal and wedding. She is driving Sasha almost to the edge. During the rehearsal dinner, Maddie and Sasha find the body of the best man stabbed in the ladies room. It is a known fact, he wasn’t liked by most of the wedding party but who would wanted him dead. Sasha sets out to get answers. When a second member of the wedding party is found, dead the town thinks the wedding is doomed. Will Cissy make it down the aisle or not.
I loved this book, from the cute cover, to the well written story. It has suspects galore, the main characters are relatable and likeable. You get love of family, romance, humor, and a couple secondary stories sprinkled through out that also has you thinking. I didn’t want to put it down.
I was given an ARC from Kensington via NetGalley for an honest review.
Sasha Silverman and her sister Maddie are involved in the Valentine’s weekend wedding of a local friend. However, between the demands the bride is making and the fact the wedding party doesn’t get along, it is turning out to be anything but fun. Still, Sasha wasn’t expecting one of the members of the wedding party to turn up dead at the rehearsal dinner. When her bridesmaid duties suddenly include finding the real killer, can she figure out what happened?
Because we meet the members of the bridal party in a couple of group scenes, I had trouble keeping them all straight early on, but as the book progressed, I found it easier to remember their relationships. The plot is strong, with some nice red herrings that kept me confused until we reached the climax. Helping things out are some fun sub-plots, although one of them stretched credibility a bit too far for me. I’ll believe that Sasha can solve the murder but not how this sub-plot played out. I think that may be on me. We do get updates on Sasha’s larger group of family and friends, but they mostly stay in the background, which helps us get to know the suspects better. This is a wonderful winter time cozy, so snuggle in with a blanket and your favorite hot beverage and enjoy.
Cissy and Gus are ready to tie the knot. Too bad murder keeps getting in the way of their plans. When they ask Sasha to put her amateur detective skills to work proving people’s innocence, she’s eager to help out. Unfortunately quite a few people seem to have motive, means, and opportunity to commit murder. Will they find the killer before anyone else dies?
I just love Sasha, Maddie, Jay, and all the rest of their friends and family. I love the teddy bear shop and the town of Silver Hollow. Kick off your shoes and snuggle up in your comfy reading chair. You’re not gonna want to put this book down until you’ve finished it.
I received a copy of this book from the publisher via NetGalley. My thoughts and opinions are my own and without bias or favor.
Valentine’s Day is coming up and the Silver Bear Shop and Factory in Michigan is quite busy. There are workshops, last minute gift purchasers, and both Sasha and her sister Maddie are in a wedding. The wedding of Cissy Davison has proven to be a lot more stressful than any event at the Silver Bear Shop and Factory. The groom’s choice of best man has the bride and her sister, Debbie, incensed and all of the events leading up to Cissy’s big day have been rife with tension. Things take a violent and deadly turn at the rehearsal dinner when Maddie and Sasha walk right into a murder scene. Dylan, the best man, has been killed by ice pick. As if Sasha isn’t busy enough at the shop and factory, Cissy has asked her to help prove her sister’s innocence, even if Debbie is the most likely suspect.
Actually, that’s not true. Debbie is one of many, it seems, with an issue with Dylan. As Sasha puts her sleuthing cap on and begins her search, it appears that more than just Debbie had means, motive and opportunity. Dylan seems to have a long history of upsetting people. With everything going on at the shop and factory, additional side threads, Cissy, and the death of Dylan, Sasha has her hands full.
A clever who-done-it, Wedding Bear Blues kept me entertained and engaged in the story. Meg Macy delivered a well-written story with a unique setting in a fictional small town in southeast Michigan. As a lifelong Michigander I enjoy a good story, in any genre, that is based in my state. The author mentions places in Michigan I’m very familiar with, including Harrison. I always love it when I recognize locations in a book because I’ve been there, lived there, or worked in the town/city.
I enjoyed the personalities of each character introduced to us in the book. The book was descriptive well developed, allowing me to visualize the elements of the story, characters, and locations. The characters and situations were believable and the pacing of the story was steady. I enjoyed Wedding Bear Blues, found the mystery interesting, the characters likable, and the story’s pacing to be on target. I love the Shamelessly Adorable Teddy Bear Mystery series by Meg Macy and I look forward to the next book.
I was provided a copy of this book to read. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
This is one of my favorite series but this entry fell just a bit short but only by one star. The mystery was solid and the clues and red herrings kept me guessing to the end – all what i have come to expect. My problem was I didn’t like any of the wedding characters. The usual bridezilla, a horrid best man and just about every member of their families solidly on the dysfunctional scale. The characters that always shine are Sasha and her family and friends. Sasha and her sister make a great team managing the Teddy Bear factory along with their uncle. Adding the wedding theme for the bears and getting everything ready for Valentines Day was fun. Too bad the humans of the wedding party didn’t have some teddy bear charm in them. Now I’m looking forward to book #5.
My thanks to the publisher Kensington and to NetGalley for giving me an advance copy in exchange for my honest review.
Wedding Bear Blues by Meg Macy which is the fourth book in the author’s Shamelessly Adorable Teddy Bear Mystery series is a fun whodunit. The characters are very likable. Sasha Silverman, the main amateur sleuth, keeps getting asked to prove a character’s innocence. In this story the bride asks Sasha to prove her sister Debbie’s innocence after the murder of the best man, Dylan who is Debbie’s ex-fiance. This leads to Sasha’s involvement in the murder investigation. In this story the best man was murdered during the wedding rehearsal dinner. Ms. Macy sure kept me guessing with this case. She does a great job teasing readers with possible suspects and then surprises the readers wit the identity of the murderer. I really enjoyed this book!
