An emotional tale of a magical inn, a wedding gone terribly wrong and a woman searching for a second chance. Alice has hit rock bottom. Once a Michelin-starred chef, she is now drowning in debt, working the line at a chain restaurant and drinking too much. The last person she ever expected to come knocking with a job offer and a fresh start is her ex-husband, Gabe. Gabe built The Riverview Inn … The Riverview Inn with his dad and brother. Now, the grand lodge in the Catskill Mountains is nearly ready for the opening event—a society wedding for 500 guests.
The only thing missing is a chef. That’s where Alice comes in.
The deal Gabe offers Alice is too good to pass up: help him get through this wedding and he’ll get her out of debt.
But nothing is simple at The Riverview and soon she’s dealing with a bridezilla, pink swans, a series of mysterious letters and a teenage delinquent. Through it all, one thing is clear—her feelings for Gabe burn as bright as they always have.
When the wedding is over, will Alice walk away for good? Or will The Riverview work its magic on Alice and Gabe?

This book was packed with emotions. It mapde me cry, laugh and shout at times depending on what was happening with the characters! Their journey had me on the edge of my seat. They had a past, could they have a future? Can love really conquer the past, secrets and more? For a chance at happiness how far and how hard are you willing to work? This book is a must read! Check it out and see why it is 5 stars! I am voluntarily leaving my review after reading an advance reader copy of the book from the author. I can not wait for more in this series!
Awesome book
I wish it was a little longer
Trademark O’Keefe, Wedding at the Riverview Inn is much deeper than the description. Emotional and satisfying, readers will be swept up in O’Keefe’s world from page one.

Molly O’Keefe always brings a gritty realism to everything she does. It’s what I love about her writing. This series is pretty–it takes place in a beautiful place. But there’s still that wonderful realism, too. The heroine and the hero have a very fraught past, and it makes their eventual happy ending that much sweeter.
This book was great fun to read. As the series progresses the characters become better developed the stories become more and more addictive. I’m so glad I found the Riverview Inn series.
Alice is a chef who’s life is spiraling out of control. Her ex-husband Gabe is trying to open an upscale lodge in upstate New York, and he desperately needs a chef. The real problem is that the two of them have a long, painful history and no choice but to help each other. These characters feel very real. Their struggles aren’t easily overcome, but you can’t help but to hope for them. Another great Molly O’Keefe story!
Oh my gosh what a delightful second chance romance A Wedding at the Riverview Inn is! I was immediately invested in the characters and the storyline. A small town, tight family affair topped with a disgruntled ex-wife.
Alice and Gabe just couldn’t keep their marriage afloat and then Gabe was struggling to keep his dream, Riverview Inn, afloat without a top notch chef. Lucky or unlucky for him, no one worth their chef weight was willing to work out in the sticks…except maybe Alice.
A complete standalone with two other interesting stories brewing under the surface that I’m now aching to read.
I’ve read some of Molly O’Keefe’s work in the past and really enjoyed it. Not sure what I was expecting but this was a heart warming, pleasant surprise.
Rated 3.5 Stars
Wedding at the Riverview Inn is a cute, sweet second story that deals with some heavy topics. While I enjoyed it the hero, Gabe annoyed me I got why he acted the way he did but it still got under my skin. However I’m looking forward to reading the next book in the series.

Touching Story of Second Chances and Following Dreams!
Gabe is opening the Inn of his dreams with the assistance of his brother and father. When he cannot hire a chef, he must resort to his ex-wife the chef – who shared his dream of the Inn. A painful revisiting of a destructive relationship and family history of loss.
Struggles, personal growth and building a dream. Great secondary characters add some humor and add to this lovely story.

Goodness, what an emotional start to the series! Books 2 and 3 cannot come out soon enough…
Truth time: I didn’t really read the blurb for this book before picking it up–I just saw “Molly O’Keefe” and “first in a series” and got grabby hands. So the soft, pretty cover didn’t quite prepare me for the intense drama and desperation that was inside–but that’s okay.
I couldn’t put this book down!
Gabe and Alice’s push and pull, the separate secrets that Max (Gabe’s brother) and Patrick (their father) are keeping from everyone else, not to mention Alice’s struggles with alcoholism–so much is going on here; as much as I wanted Gabe and Alice to resolve their differences, I still wasn’t ready to see this book end.
This would have been a 4 1/2 star read except for two details: first, that Alice’s struggle with substance abuse felt totally realistic until it disappeared, and second, we barely got to enjoy Gabe and Alice finally choosing to be together again when bam! the story ended. Knowing that this is the start of a trilogy gives me hope, though, that seeing the two of them together in the next two books will show us that this time, those two crazy kids are going to make it.

Five years after Gabe and Alice divorce, Alice has hit rock bottom and Gabe desperately needs her help. In return, he will get Alice back on her feet again. Gabe has built the Riverview Inn, a dream both him and Alice shared all those years ago, but he cannot find a chef that can provide the calibre of food he wants the Inn to be known for. When a prominent family want to plan a wedding at the Inn it could make or break both Gabe and the Inn financially. The best chef he can think of is Alice, his ex wife. All he has to do is persuade her to come to the Inn for eight weeks, until the wedding is over and he will pay off her debts and get her back on track. Beautiful and emotional, the answers to so many questions are revealed – making a must read page turner. Wonderful cast of supporting characters that I hope we will see in upcoming books.
This is an updated version of a previously published story and it was simply fantastic! Alice and Gabe’s second chance story will have you laughing and crying at different stages. Both past and present, theirs is an emotional journey of lost dreams and new found hope and love. It is and certainly a story you don’t want to miss.
Gabe and Alice’s second chance love story in The Wedding at the Riverview Inn by Molly O’Keefe, book 1 in the Riverview Inn series, was an emotional and enjoyable tale. Gabe built the Riverview Inn with the help of his dad and brother in the Catskill Mountains. This grand lodge, with breath-taking views would open with a society wedding, but Gabe was missing a chef. Since this was the dream he and his chef ex-wife had, maybe she would be willing to help him. Alice had hit rock bottom after her restaurant went bottom up, working at a chain restaurant and drinking way too much. She never expected her ex-husband to find her, offering her a job and fresh start. The deal is too good an offer to pass up, so she will help him and maybe get herself out of debt. Before the end of their marriage these two hurt each other deeply, but their feelings and love for each other have never gone away. Life is never simple, even at the Riverview Inn, as Alice ends up dealing with a bridezilla, a teenage delinquent, restarting and stopping a second chance with Gabe, raccoons sabotaging the wedding, and then there’s the series of letters Gabe’s dad receives. Maybe the magic of the Riverside Inn will work on Alice and Gabe, providing a second chance that will last forever.
Ms. O’Keefe wrote a “can’t put down,” emotional, second chance romance that should not be missed. This tale abounds with emotions, sexual chemistry, humor, wonderful dialogue, and endearing characters giving Gabe and Alice a second chance at love, a family, and forever. I highly recommend The Wedding at the Riverview Inn to other readers and look forward to the next book in this series.

Molly O’Keefe takes you on a heck of an emotional journey with this book! I was an emotional mess through the whole book. It will tugs on your heartstrings one moment and the next, makes your chest tight with angst. This might be one of the best second chance romances I have read! Gabe and Alice deserve a HEA and the one they get is perfect! I can’t wait for the next book in this series!
This book will envelope you in an avalanche of feelings. There is a deep and powerful story here that will severely test your own emotions as Alice and Gabe get their second chance at a HEA. I thought that this book was beautifully written and I believe you will easily find yourself totally ensnared by this poignant tale of love, loss and heartbreak. I loved Alice and my heart hurt for her. In my opinion the one negative thing about this book was Gabe. If I am 100% honest here, I simply did not like him. I could feel for him but I did not like him. I did try to cut him some slack because of the situation but I was no fan of his actions and attitude. Regardless, I liked this book and am eager to read more from this series. This is my candid review that I am posting of my own accord.

Wedding at the Riverview Inn is book 1 in the new series Riverview Inn by Molly O’Keefe. Well written, a standalone with a back story woven throughout that gives you a better understanding of Gabe and his family dynamics.
Alice a Michelin Star chef and Gabe the front person in the restaurant business had it all, married, working together, planning to built and run their own inn and having a family but it all fell apart after they lost their babies, couldn’t find a way to communicate the losses and got divorced.
Now 5 years later, Gabe is in need of a chef for his newly built Riverview Inn’s grand opening which is a society wedding for 500 people. He finds Alice his ex, offers her a fresh start, a job and will help her get out of debt if she helps him with his grand opening of the inn.
So much angst, tensions, past hurts, fulfilling dreams, second chances and finally opening up communications to find their HEA…or will the past keep them apart forever??
Can’t wait for the next book!!
Molly O’Keefe delivers pure charm in Wedding at the Riverview Inn. I thoroughly enjoyed the second chance romance of Gabe and Alice even though much of it is fraught with pain and past heartache. But these two are truly meant to be as they find themselves together once more, creating the dream they both wanted all those years ago. The backdrop of the Riverview Inn and the upcoming wedding to be held there provides the perfect situation in which Gabe and Alice can once again work together as ‘manager’ and head chef. Both are stubborn. Both are wicked talented and both are still hopelessly in love with the other.
O’Keefe seamlessly combines Gabe’s and Alice’s hearts reawakening with the struggles they still have with their heartbreaking past beautifully. Knowing there was so much more to their breakup kept me turning the pages as fast as I could while at the same not wanting to miss the unintended lingering glances nor the ways in which both Gabe and Alice tried oh so hard to stop the long-buried feelings from coming to the surface.
Combined with a mystery concerning Gabe’s absent mother which includes his outspoken father Patrick and his uneasy brother Max, this book has everything I adore about a great small-town love story. The addition of Cameron as a troubled youth is a true bonus and I hope at some point, we might get to see his story as well. I imagine a future tale where he is running his own kitchen, thanks to Alice’s guidance and confidence in her young assistant.
It’s impossible not to love how superbly O’Keefe crafts a story and Wedding at the Riverview Inn is clearly proof of her incredible talent. I cannot wait for book two and the conclusion to this well-written duet.
5 solid stars!
A book read in one sitting!!! So loved it! The angst. The humor. The passion! The depth of Molly’s characters are epic. The weaving of the story and the characters draws you in and sweeps you away info the magic of her words. Just perfect.
Well, that book turned around almost completely from beginning to end. I was reading along, enjoying it, not really impressed with either character, but especially Alice. I wanted to know what happened to make her and Gabe split, and why everything seemed so hopeless for them. I also totally enjoyed Max and Cameron, and Patrick’s behind the scenes story was intriguing. Oh, and Daphne and Helen added so much to Gabe and Alice’s story. Then the tide started to turn in the story, and I started to tear up at what Alice and Gabe had gone through. I started to love Alice, and Gabe made my heart sore, then he made me made, then he made me sob. And then, their story clicked, and they got it, and as reader, it was one of the best second chances I had ever read!
