Wedded to the Wolf: A BBW/Mermaid & Werewolf Romance
Mer-princess scratches forbidden itch with lone wolf. After a bad marriage, curvy Justine doesn’t want to be bitten by love, let alone by a werewolf. But a few snatched weeks of scorched sheets? Sure thing. First Wolf expects his grandson to wed a she-wolf and father some pups. Fishwomen are off the werewolf menu. But pack law doesn’t make … off the werewolf menu. But pack law doesn’t make independent Justine’s nape less tantalizing to her drooling lover.
Meanwhile, the Mer-King is set to haul Drew out to deep water. Justine’s ex has escaped from prison. Drew’s feisty mermaid won’t commit. How can this Marine keep his stubborn fated mate safe and satisfied?
Banter, snark, plot twists, and great chemistry add spice to this steamy, page-turning paranormal romp. As usual, the zany townsfolk of Mystic Bay don’t hesitate to poke the wolf. Laugh and thrill with Drew and Justine as they battle their way to a magical meeting of hearts.
Wedded to the Wolf is a standalone novel. You can read any of the lighthearted Mystic Bay books in whatever order appeals.)

A really good shifter romance.
I really enjoyed this romance about Justine, a mermaid, and Drew, a wolf shifter. This story has many twists and turns but the constant is the attraction between Justine and Drew that evolves into so much more.
There are many barriers to their relationship but Drew just won’t let them stop them because he knows, in his heart of hearts, that Justine is his mate… even if she doesn’t realize it right away. From the interference of their families to her abusive ex lurking in the background, these two just keep going strong until the ex is suddenly no longer in the background. But they work through it, in their own way, and come out stronger for it.
This is the seventh book in the Mystic Bay Series and although it does have some crossovers, it can be read as a standalone.
I voluntarily read and reviewed a free advance copy of this book.
Spoilers************
There is a passage that had me absolutely laughing out loud while trying to read this book that is about two-thirds of the way through the book. Poor Drew has something happen to him and his reactions to it are both adorable and hilarious at the same time. A Sea-wolf! And humping on the brain is all I’m gonna say!
This continuation of Isadora Montrose’s series is an action packed addition. I really liked how our main characters were supported by their families even when they didn’t think they were.
What a delightful story…Drew and Jasmine were such a down to earth couple. Humor was great and you can’t deny the attraction they have for each other. I really enjoyed the banter between this couple. It was good to visit some of the other residents of Mystic Bay too.
Justine Merryman, a mermaid and sensitive with Drew Wolfmann, a werewolf and hunter; little chance of that in in Mystic Bay on West Haven, especially with all that’s stacked against them.
Drew’s grandfather, the wealthy Alpha of the clan, sees him as the heir to the position and an attorney in the family firm, mated to an acceptable wolf bitch (not as in personality, but as a biological fact)
While Justine’s father, the hardworking Mer King, expects her to find a merman and produce gilled offspring.
These two sea crossed lovers came face to face when Drew investigated Justine’s former husband-a fraud who undermined her confidence.
As anxious as I was, curious about the outcome, and wanting to skip ahead, I couldn’t, knowing I’d miss my new friends, viewed from a distance, if I finished without the details and, as I was to learn, surprise happenings.
This very enjoyable story with it’s snappy dialog, warm characters, and warmer moments was a joy to escape into.
It seems as though as each of the books in the series becomes my new favorite.
Wedded to the Wolf by Isadora Montrose
Drew Wolfmann came to Mystic Bay looking for Justine Merrymann’s husband. Justine doesn’t know where he is and didn’t know he was already married. As soon as Drew meets Justine, he knows he wants her and is willing to wait for her. So for two years, he waits. Both families don’t approve, what are they willing to do to stop these two. This is a very romantic story and I enjoyed reading this book. This story full of twist and turns and through it and it is a page-turner. I received an advanced reader copy and have voluntarily chosen to leave a review. This is my honest opinion.
Book seven in the Mystic Bay series is well written and a story that held my interest until the end. A book I was not putting down until I was finished reading. I recommend this book.
“I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.”
I absolutely loved this book and was honored to have been able to read and review. It was such a phenomenal read and had amazing characters as well as an amazing story line. I just couldn’t get enough of it and once I started reading it I couldn’t put it down. I recommend that you read it.

An absolutely, delightful shifter romance & I really found it a pleasure to read. The plot is intriguing & filled with unexpected incidents which keeps the reader’s attention firmly on the book. The characters are unique individuals that entwined fairly well with each other, and reacted with varying emotions to the situations they found themselves in. There are some character crossover from previous books but this shifter romance is complete & standalone.
There is: a determined marine & wolf shifter (Drew), a curvy mer-princess (Justine), a despicable con-man & ex-husband (Chris), a controlling mer-king & father (King Roger), a manipulative grandfather & alpha wolf shifter (Andrew), twists & turns, intrigue, drama, secrets, some danger, magic, various kinds of shifters, a sorcerer, attractions, family issues, verbal banter, conflict, royal decree, emotional turmoil, love, happiness, some steam & a wonderful ending.
I would recommend this book.
I received this story, this is my voluntary review.
Wedded by the Wolf is an enjoyable and well-written read. It has vivid imagery that grabbed and held my attention throughout. It offers action, drama, intrigue, and romance with twist and turns that kept me thoroughly entertained. I was pleased with the familial dynamics present in this book that allowed me to become invested in the characters’ outcome. I loved the interactions between Robin and Gordon, which always make me smile. I also adored the undeniable chemistry between Justine and Drew, as well as their journey towards happiness. Definitely, worth the read.
I could not put this one down.
From this first page I was drawn into this world of shifter romance.
Isadora Montrose knows how to invite you into the story.
She brings the characters and community to life.
I wish i could live in Mystic Bay.
You can read this book as a stand alone, but it also is an ongoing story of Mystic Bay and the shifters that live, love and work there.
I couldn’t put this book down.
I would recommend this book to anyone that liked shifter books.
The author gifted this book to me. But this is my voluntary honest review.
Justine made an unlucky choice with her first serious relationship, finding out shortly into her marriage that he had already been married and only wanted the supposed treasure of the mer king’s family. The man who uncovered the truth and helped her to keep that man in prison, surprisingly stayed in Mystic Bay. Drew, wolf-shifter and heir apparent to a pack on the mainland, had no interest in taking that responsibility and instead was waiting for Justine to finally be free for him to claim.
But with both heads of their families against the match it takes a threat to unite the families and accept what fate decreed.
As usual – well written in the typical Mystic Bay fashion – blending romance, fantasy and a threat to someone into a fantastic story.
I received this book as an ARC from the author and voluntarily leave this review.
Drew was a wonderful character and it was great getting his and Justine’s story. I really loved Justine who had a bad relationship in a past book. The two had great chemistry and lots of steam. Justine who was a mermaid was a lot of fun as she put up with Drew’s family. This place has such great characters and I love the unique twist at the end. Love Haven and it’s paranormal characters that always seem to find an HEA. Loved it!!
As always Isadora wrote a wonderful book full of humor, passion, and action with a sweet HEA. Who would think that a mermaid and a wolf would be mates but that make a sweet couple. This is a must read for any shifter romance lover.
Thoroughly delightful storyline, the chemistry between Drew and Justine is simply amazing. I can’t wait for more from this author. I received this book as a FREE ARC copy to read and I voluntarily leave this review.
You gotta love this author’s humor, these characters stumble & fumble their way to love. This tale has lots of alpha males and one modern alpha female not willing to play second fiddle. I really like it when an author continues to use characters in their world, I think it strengthens the story when familiarity is present
I received an ARC & have chosen to review it here.
