I love the Annabelle Archer series. This one is as wonderful as any and has some great twists and turns. A joy to read.
Delightful. I am a long-time fan of Laura Durham and her Annabelle Archer series, so I was not at all surprised that this newest one is a lot of fun, well-done, and with a clever twist. Durham manages to make each new book in the cozy series fresh and original, which is a hard trick for an author to pull off. Readers get to visit with Annabelle and her usual crew, though there are new characters in play in this book. The bride goes missing hours before the wedding and a ransom demand not for money, but for a secret and dangerous invention by the bride’s father, leads to concerns about terrorists. Because the kidnappers also have Kate, Annabelle’s friend and assistant, Annabelle and her crew jump in to rescue Kate and the bride.
Breezy, fast-paced, entertaining, and with the same sly humor Durham is so good at, Wed or Alive is a winner.
Another crazy wedding with Annebelle and the gang! I love this series and all it crazy characters.
I love to read all of the books about Annabelle and her gang of friends who all work at planning weddings. There always seems to be a murder mystery in the story and they have to solve them. They usually find the bodies and end up as being a possible murderer. So they always work to get the wedding done and get the murder solved. Their ways are almost always comical and you don’t know how they solve things but they do. Annabelle’s boyfriend has gotten used to the whole group and tries to keep them out of trouble. None of them ever quit as long as Annabelle won’t. You’ve got to read these stories as they are so very incredible and keep you interested and coming back for more.
What’s great about this series is that you don’t have to read the books in consecutive order to follow what’s going on, but having read all of them, I really appreciate the characters and their zany personalities. The author does a fantastic job of creating visuals for the reader — penguins at a wedding, the talent agent with his hiked up pants. A fun and entertaining read!
This is another funny, clever book about wedding planner Annabelle Archer and her quirky, funny and lovable friends. Laura Durham really knows the wedding planning business and the results are laugh out loud stories.
super fun read
Love the Annabelle Archer books and this one continues to impress. This was a little different than the rest of the series but loved it even more. Just sad it is over and I have to wait again for the next one. If you are looking for a light hearted, funny, easy to read page turner this series is the one for you!
I have read all the books in the series and I thoroughly enjoyed this latest adventure. It was fast moving and I was surprised at the ending well done!
I am a huge fan of Annabelle Archer and her crew. This book has a totally new twist for Annabelle and Kate. When the bride and Kate go missing it is up to Annabelle and her crew to rescue her before Kate and the bride before the day is completely ruined. Laura Durham has done it again and this book will have you on the edge the whole time.
Crazy twisted plot that kept me guessing clear to the very end! A good book that was hard to put down.
Another great installment of my favorite wedding planners. Totally
Love all the characters in this series. Good story line. Kept you guessing till the end.
9 books into the series and I’m still not disappointed. Laura Durham kept me on the edge of my seat from the beginning and I refused to close my kindle until I got to the end. Love this series!
A over-the-top wedding, a kidnapping and an attempted murder – just another dramatic day in the life of wedding planner Anabelle Archer! The bride and Anabelle’s assistant are kidnapped just before the ceremony – who did it and why? – I totally enjoyed unraveling this one. I love the cast of characters in this series – they all feel like old friends by this point. I did miss Kate’s malpropisms as she was missing from most of the story (being kidnapped and all) but it certainly let the other characters shine! Great series – can’t wait for the next one!
Another winning Annabelle Archer mystery. No bride? Missing assistant? When Annabelle and her crew begin investigating they discover clues, secrets and numerous suspects . In addition to the vivid description of this over the top wedding venue and the crazy cast of characters, Laura Durham manages to weave the clues into an enjoyable mystery and satisfying conclusion. Enjoy!
A great installment to the wedding planners saga
Annabelle and Kate are off to another wedding. This one has an Italian theme complete with costumed actors and penguins!?! It’s over the top preparations for a wealthy, whiny bride and a family who seems to not like each other. And Leatrice may have found herself a boyfriend. Great book!
This mystery is an entertaining read filled with quirky characters
What does a Venetian style Carnival being held in a faux Tuscan villa, a missing bride, 50 wedding entertainers, and two penguins have in common? – Annabelle and her favorite crew of wedding vendors. We find our heroine once more embroiled in an over-the-top wedding gone haywire. Despite the fact that Annabelle has never planned a wedding that didn’t take place, she wonders if today that very thing will happen. Did the bride get cold feet? And what has happened to Kate, Annabelle’s assistant?
I liked this book so much, I read it a second time and still enjoyed it. Be prepared to be surprised at the ending.
Great book. It had with wanting to know who was behind all the madness. I thought the boyfriend was some what of a jerk. But he turned that around by the end.
I am always Waiting for the next Annabelle archer series. I love the characters, the books are fun and easy to read. A dash of mystery a dash of romance and a splash of silliness. A lovely way to spend the afternoon.
