“Wed in Disgrace!” by Rose Pearson
I liked this story, but never really connected with the characters. I am not sure If it was the story or my mind-set, or my mind’s disarray, as I read this while in ‘pandemic self-isolation’. I received an ARC of this story from the author via BookSprout for which I promised an honest review. This is an interesting mystery, as well as a story of the getting to know you story between an insecure girl and an insecure discredited member of the ton as the prelude of an arranged marriage
Happy Reading ! !
Timothy and Delilah
The question that came to mind was why Lord Chesterton did what he did? The reasons become pretty clear that they are not good and yet? I liked Timothy and Delilah they made a wonderful couple and they worked so well together. This quick read was so good and it was not till the very end the true villain was named the only question what is going to happen to said villain. High marks for this gem hope you check it out. I did receive a free copy of this book and voluntarily chose to review it.

Being with him taints her with his “sins”. Meanwhile, he claims his innocence. Some one is trying to drive him out of society. Who and why?
A wonderful story full of mystery and romance. The ending surprised me completely. I did not want to put it down once I got started.

Miss Delilah Johnston has been left orphaned, when her uncle takes over the title he sends her away to school, then he summons her back to London he has arranged a marriage to he Earl of Coventry who was disgraced the previous year even though he insisted he was innocent. Luckily her godmother Lady Newfield is determined to aid Delilah through the ton. The couple spend time getting to know each other but it soon becomes apparent that someone is determined to ruin them both
A well written entertaining read that I read in a sitting. I liked poor Timothy who had borne the brunt of the ton for an event he was innocent of. I also really liked Delilah who was very timid to begin with but with the support of her godmother & Timothy she blossomed throughout the book. A lovely mix of a burgeoning romance & a mystery, which held my interest all the way through
My honest review is for a special copy I voluntarily read
Oh my, a clean read with great characters who have your attention from the beginning. Some yet very different area’s in the usual arranged marriage! The best of them who stand by each other and work through difficulties together, Timothy, Delilah, Miss Jamieson, Betty, and the great Lady Newfield. Of course, Lord Denholm and Lady Parrington you just want to punch out! And mixed feelings on Lord Chesterton & Lord Parrington, are they “real” gentlemen of the TON?
Deliah is an orphan bring forced to wed a viscount with a bad reputation. She comes to care for him and helps him solve the mystery and regain his life. Diverting plot.

Miss Delilah Johnston has been orphaned and then abandoned by her uncle Lord Denholm, by being sent to a boarding school. She receives a letter from him telling her she is to be married. She asks her maid Betty to go with her when she has to go back to her uncles. When she arrives she meets her Godmother, Lady Newfield, who she did not know she had. Lady Newfield has decided to help Delilah out of the mess her uncle has gotten her into. The Earl of Coventry was accused of beating Lord Chesterton almost to death. When she meets her intended, the Earl of Coventry, will she believe the rumors about him or see the real man underneath? A real page turner!
Enjoyed the fact that even though Lord Coventry (who was disgraced) and was to be betrothed to Lady Delilah sight unseen. When she met him she gave him a chance despite the talk she heard. Her godmother Lady Newfield also agreed to give him a chance. Upon meeting and talking they agreed that he was a good man and was being framed.
