Fake it until its real…
Wearing the Greek Millionaire’s Ring by Jennifer Faye is a pretty funny book. I love the way that the chapters were days and places where the cruise took them. I thought that was pretty cool and very unique. Loving the way that Stasia and Roberto got “together.”
Stasia Marinakos
Stasia Marinakos is a widow with a very protective older brother that wants the best for his younger sister. Sadly Stasia intends to put her mark in the world and tries to move on from her late husband’s tragic ending. That leads us to her being apart of the cruise unwillingly but ends up having fun.
There are many things that I like about Stasia, and one of them is that she always wants to help people. That is something that she has just always done, and it’s amazing how she never really noticed she is good at it too. I do like her with Roberto since they are so cute together and how they both bring out a different side of each other when they are around.
Roberto Carrass
Roberto Carrass is the Stasia’s older brother’s, Xander’s friend; he is there for his grandmother’s birthday and his cousin, Gaia wedding. Roberto loves his family a whole lot but things that happened in his past make him focus more on work. He is a great person who needs to be coaxed out and not so focused on work. I love how he wanted to help out his grandfather despite some bad blood between the two of them.
I adore that when he is near Stasia he is more carefree and an average person that isn’t so work orientated. These two bring out the best in each other.
Five Stars
Wearing the Greek Millionaire’s Ring by Jennifer Faye is a fantastic end to a wonderful trilogy. At some point, I will read the first book of this trilogy. I love how Stasia and Roberto didn’t know about the other being on this cruise. Somehow though they ended up together and went through a lot in the two week cruise period to possibly follow their feelings.
I am giving Wearing the Greek Millionaire’s Ring by Jennifer Faye, a five-star rating and recommending it to all romance readers out there.
I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy from the author. This does not affect my opinion of the book or the content of my review.

I’ve often thought of the old saying: Poor little rich kid. Once you read this story, it will become obvious that most often everyone has the same types of problems and even those we think “have it all” struggle with some deep hurts and dark issues.
What a story! WtGMR is the last in a trilogy and I’ve been looking forward to book three since I read the first story. Stasia Marinakos is sister to Xander (whom we met in book one) and she played a part in tha story that you need to read because you will love it. Yes, this is a standalone, truly, but knowing the other characters, even in passing, always makes it fun for me. And it is a great series, so win-win!
Xander sends Stasia on a cruise for her birthday. She lost her beloved husband a couple of years before and she is still trying to find her footing in order to once again move on with her life. The last thing she wants to do is go on a cruise but she does, thinking she can work on a new “life plan” with no interruptions. Oddly enough, Xander’s business partner, Roberto Carass, is on the same cruise with his family (celebrating his grandmother’s birthday) and let’s just say a funny thing happened on the way to dinner one night: Stasia has met Roberto before, of course, but when she is mistaken for Roberto’s fiancé, the cruise gets a LOT more interesting.
Roberto is known to be somewhat of a player however he is much more complicated than that. He has things in his upbringing that cause him great pain, still, so he also has to work thru deep issues before he can move on with his life.
Roberto and Stasia grow closer during the cruise and their engagement becomes more and more real to these two. Their story is very sweet and touching and is so much more than I can describe. You will have to read it for yourself. Loved that Stasia is a very strong character – one that no one seems to think can handle her own life but she does a pretty good job from my point of view. And Roberto is truly sweet, even with his mishandling of his feelings over his upbringing, and I was very happy to read their HEA. Great book, wonderful series, and am sad that this trip to the Greek isles is over.
How could Stasia Marinakos ever know that fulfilling her late husband’s last wishes be her saving grace?
After finally settling all Lukas’s affairs after his passing, only one obstacle remained, going on the Mediterranean cruise her husband had purchased before his passing.
It will take courage striking out on her own and trying to enjoy life again.
Roberto Carrass just might be her saving grace she never expected to find.
Accidentally mistaken as Roberto’s fiancee, Roberto talks Stasia Into keeping up the charade to stop his matchmaking family from pursuing what they always seem to do, intrude into his single life.
The fireworks explode in this beautiful romantic story, Wearing The Greek Millionaire’s Ring.
Jennifer Faye always delivers the most profound and romantic scenerios in her books.
Her characterization and unique plots keep me returning to each and every book she writes to see what surprises she has in store for her fan’s.
Grab this book and let the romance sweep you away on this Mediterranean cruise.
A sweet, romantic story about two people who complement each other so well. When recent widow Stasia Marinakos runs into Robert Carrass at the beginning of a Mediterranean cruise, the story takes off right away. With Roberto’s grandmother lining up eligible women from the start, it’s clear to see why the fake relationship is easy to begin–the two already know of each other since Roberto has had business dealings with Stasia’s brother. The two fall into an effortless routine, spending time together both on ship and touring at the various ports of call during the cruise. They bring out the best in each other, although they are slow to see it at first. Faye has introduced two more lovely characters, deserving of their happily ever after.
Oh wow, what can I say about this amazing book! A truly stunning tale of such deep love and passion and so very sweet! I absolutely loved it! In Wearing the Greek Millionaire’s Ring our heroine, Stasia is mistaken for the dashingly handsome Hero and Millionaire, Roberto’s fiance. However, he asks her to keep up the charade so his family will think he has found the one and will stop trying to hook him up! Well, unbeknownst to him, the beautiful Stasia does become the one!
This was such a well-written book, the characters are fully and well-developed and there are many twists and turns and yes, there is tension between our H and h to keep things lively and nothing more exciting than a fake relationship, I love that trope! If you love a sweet romance, then you are going to love this book!
I will be frank with this review. Don’t worry, it’s a good one but there was a character that I particularly didn’t like at all. Unfortunately, it’s Roberto’s grandmother. One of the reasons I picked up this book is because I read the other two which I loved. Secondly, one of my favorite movies is My Big Fat Greek Wedding. So with that, I went into the book thinking MBFGW trope with his family. The grandmother just grated on my nerves. I thought that she was a bit too pushy, judgmental towards the actual relationship that Roberto and Stasia were having and in some ways, the way she treated her husband. Did Roberto’s grandfather need a kick in the rear at times? You bet, but she was just too overbearing for me.
Roberto is a dream. You never got the sense that he had money (which I loved) but overall, was a good person. He never thought in a million years that he and Stasia would ever date, so the surprise was a delight. I understood why he never formed any attachments to women because of his parents. However, once things were revealed to him in regards to them, it made more sense. It also showed that he was capable of true love with Stasia in the end.
Stasia has been through too much in her young life. I have enjoyed getting to know her throughout the series. Stasia was finally ready to move on with her life but she needed to figure out what to do. Babysitting can only get you so far and when she realized that she didn’t want to work with Xander, she really had to look at what made her happy. Losing a husband isn’t easy and Stasia knows it, so bumping into Roberto was surprising. She is not a weak woman by any means. She’s stronger than she thinks and Roberto shows her that with the outings that they go on.
Their romance is slow and sweet, which I loved. Stasia needed to realize that she could love again and should love again. Roberto is patient with her and her feelings that linger for her husband. I felt like Roberto was slower on the romance because of his background. He had the most to lose in the relationship and it showed throughout the book. I loved how when he FINALLY realized that Stasia was for him, he stood up to Xander, his family and ultimately, Stasia.
This friends to lovers book was spot on. Ms. Faye wrote a slow-paced, sweet romance about moving on and finding yourself separate from the death of a spouse. It is about loss and dealing with moving on but remembering, too. Roberto and Stasia romance is the perfect bookend for the series. I’m so happy that I rediscovered the Harlequin Romance line. Ms. Faye is one of my favorite authors and I can’t wait to read what she writes next.
Did I mention that I’m completely jealous of being on a cruise? We missed cruising this year. Next year we are going again.

Wearing the Greek Millionaire’s Ring
Greek Island Brides Series
By: Jennifer Faye
*REVIEW*
Wearing The Greek Millionaire’s Ring is a happy and sad story of fake love turning into something real. Stasia is a young widow of two years. She made me feel so sad. Fortunately, she ends up taking a Mediterranean cruise. Stasia desperately needs something good in her life. On the cruise, she bumps into her brother’s business partner, Roberto, aboard the cruise with family. He has a meddling family and a matchmaking grandmother to contend with, and it’s driving him nuts. Through random events, Stasia and Roberto pretend to be engaged. Although it’s not a real relationship between them, it begins to develop into more. Spending time together on day trips off the ship really gives them the chance to get to know each other for real. Stasia is afraid to love again because she already lost her husband. Roberto is a so called playboy with looks and money. Does he even want commitment? Is Stasia ready to move forward with her life? This is a charming story with warm hearted characters, lovely descriptions and fun. I read it fairly quickly. This is a good light read that will make you smile.
Jennifer Faye does it again in her third installment from her Greek Island Brides series, Wearing the Greek Millionaire’s Ring. I have really enjoyed this series and this one does not disappoint. I loved Stasia and Roberto together on the beautiful Mediterranean cruise. Their chemistry was evident long before they knew it. I believe this one is my favorite of the series to date.
I give Wearing the Greek Millionaire’s Ring a well deserved five plus stars. I highly recommend this book, as well as, the others of the Greek Island Brides series for readers who enjoy sweet, romantic and clean reads.
I received this book from the publisher. This review is 100% my own honest opinion.
This was another great book by Jennifer Faye. The way she describes a scene you would think you were there. This is the story of Stasia and Roberto. They have a fake romance to “protect” him from his matchmaking grandmother while they are on Greek cruise. They both have their own issues. She is a young widow coming to terms with her new life and he is a workaholic. She teaches him to slow down and he helps her find a new calling. This is the last book in a trilogy but can be read as a stand alone. I would encourage you to read the other books though because they are great reads.
Wearing the Greek Millionaire’s Ring
I enjoyed this book a lot. I loved the setting of the book. They are on a cruise. Stasia’s brother buys her a ticket to go on a cruise to get away. When she gets on the boat she sees Roberto who knows her brother. She is being set up ?
Roberto family is on the cruise for a wedding they are going to. His grandmother likes to be a matchmaker.
I loved how instead of chapters there is Day one , Day two, etc. It was interesting to know which day of the cruise they were on.
I received a complimentary copy of the book from Prism book tours. This review is my own opinion.
This is a great fake relationship turned fake engagement story set on a beautiful cruise through Greece and Italy. I liked Stasia Marinakos, who is starting her life over after her husband died two years ago from cancer. She is smart, loving, and beautiful.
Then there is Roberto Carrass, who works with Stasia’s brother, Xander. He is known to be a playboy who will never settle down because he does not believe in love and happily ever after. This story is heartwarming, fun, and romantic. It made me want to visit Greece. This series has been a lot of fun to read with such great characters. I received an advance copy of this book and I willingly chose to write an honest review.
WEARING THE GREEK MILLIONAIRE’S RING is book three in Jennifer Faye’s Greek Island Brides series and centers around a widow trying to find herself again and a Greek tycoon in a combination fake engagement, second chance on love and best friend’s sister story.
Stasia is trying to find enjoyment in life again after losing the love of her life young. Her brother sends her on a Mediterranean cruise never expecting her to begin a fling with his best friend
Roberto just wants to be able to live his life, but the constant matchmaking his grandmother subjects him to is taking it’s toll. Stasia comes to his rescue and leads his family to believe they are together … and soon it’s not actually a lie!
I recommend this story to anyone enjoying a laid-back approach to finding love when you least expect it. The characters were well-developed and watching their story build was fun. You can’t go wrong with any book in this series.
Could falling in love with your brother’s best friend be a better romance storyline? The answer is yes! Make your heroine a young widow who’s looking for her future path; make your hero a workaholic who’s trying to avoid his grandmother’s matchmaking ways; and, put them both on a Mediterranean cruise. Jennifer Faye has ended her Greek Islands Brides trilogy with a winner!
I read an advanced copy of this book
This is another sweet and touching story in the Greek Island Brides series and one in which Prince Charming is a little tarnished.
Stacia Marinakos, sister of one of the grooms in a previous story, has been a widow for two years. Still sad and not sure what she wants to do the rest of her life, is not happy when her brother gifts her a cruise . Roberto Carrass works with Stacia’s brother. His cousin is getting married and the family has booked the same cruise. A workaholic, this confirmed bachelor is not happy with this situation, until he realizes Stacia is also on board the ship.
More than a friendship develops, and when Roberto needs helps, a fake fiancee is created. Little did they know, that things would get complicated the more they act as a couple.
This cute , and fairly clean story is one to be enjoyed in an afternoon when you want to escape knowing you’ll end with a HEA.
I was entrusted a copy of this book. The opinions expressed are solely my own.
Jennifer Faye is a fantastic author and storyteller. I love her books, and this one is no exception. The story of Stasia and Roberto is engaging. They both have things to prove to their families, and to themselves. Stasia and Roberto are strong people, who won’t let others make decisions for them. I love their growth and maturity. If you know what you want in life, go for it. You may make mistakes along the way, but in the end you know it was your choice. This is heartwarming feel good story, and I highly recommend it!
