I’ve never loved a book this much! Why did it have to end?
The ending was tragic, so tear-jerking! But still, READ IT! Plus, it has a great family- and lovestory. Loved it!
SOOOO AMAZING! Hands down 5 stars!
I loved everything about the way this book was written. It was such a face paced read and so easy to get into that I finished it in a day. I couldn’t get enough of it. I love a good romance story and I was really intrigued by the one going on in this book, I blame the hopeless romantic in me, but I was so …
-Description-
Cadence Sinclair, heiress, can’t remember what happened in the summer of 2015…and for good reason. The reason you will find out.
Her grandfather has three daughters all vying for his love, his acceptance, and most of all….his money…and the grandfather laps it all up. On their beautiful private island, where they “summer”, we …
This is one of those novels which many other authors would envy.
The story has it all: an intriguing premise, characters to fall in love with, and lyrical writing. I was transported to this family’s private island and absolutely riveted by their strange relationships.
It’s the type of book you can be lost in – highly recommended.
When I started reading ” We were Liars” u thought that i would be just like any other book , plus I tend to judge the book by the cover or the title , so when I started reading ” “We were Liars” i thought that it would be, sorry for the language, Lame and Boring , but it proved the opposite.
The twist in the end!!
I LOVED this book. I got it from my grandmother for Christmas, and I started it that night. I couldn’t help but stay up until 1am to finish it. The ending is shocking, no spoilers though ;). It is a VERY easy read and I definitely reccomend it for teens or adults who are looking for a cute book that isn’t difficult. I have read it multiple times …
I absolutely loved this book! I was so surprised at the end and it really changed my perspective of reading. AMAZING!!!
I love this book!!!!
This is the story of a wealthy family called the Sinclairs. The grandfather owns a beautiful island where the family goes each summer to relax and be together as a family. The main character – Cadence had an accident two summers ago that has caused memory loss and migraine headaches. She skipped going to the island the year after her accident …
This book had so many glowing reviews, yet the book left me rather unimpressed. For me the narrator was boring and unlikeable. The romance was barely there, and why “they were liars” I’m still don’t understand. The only time I was really interested was towards the end of the book when everything started to make sense, but other than that there …
This book is written for the teenage reader. It’s about a family of cousins, their parents, and grandparents who spend every summer together on the grandparents’ island off the New England coast. The book primarily center on the kids as they come to the island year after year. I couldn’t put this book down. It has a twist that I didn’t see …
You guys! This book is amazing! Read it! Do it! Trust me! Sure, you don’t know me, but I wouldn’t lead you astray. In fact, if you’re like me and have a terrible commute (gotta love Silicon Valley), listen to the audio book because the narrator is fantastic. The book is about a 17-year-old girl named Cadence who comes from a wealthy New England …
This is one of the weirdest books I have ever read, but a truly unforgettable one. Set on an island where a rich family lives, the story unfolds little by little. I recommend this book even though it is weird.
I LOVED this book!! Usually I can predict things a page ahead but this had me surprised down to the word. I admit to crying a bit. I even had to skim over a page or two because of the graphic description that had me in tears. This book also took me back to my youth. That’s what got me hooked. The memory of first love and the arrogance of …
A great book.
Before I’d read every “domestic suspense” I could get my hands on, I came across this book. And I don’t remember why I read it. All I know is that I began to stalk e. lockhart as soon as I’d finished it (not in a creepy way… just in a nice authory way), and I tracked her down at the BEA convention in NYC where we were both signing, and got …
I really struggled with this book for several reasons.
1) I love, love E. Lockhart, but I really haven’t read her stuff since middle and high school. While I thought everything she did was impressive at that point, I got more and more annoyed by her writing style in We Were Liars — but could see how I would have appreciated it 10 years ago as …
Well, I read this book in less than 24 hours, so that’s the first thing of note. If I read so much so fast, it’s because I couldn’t put it down, which is of course the sign of a very good book. I liked the style of writing, though it was different from much of what I’ve read in the past. I found myself perplexed and drawn in and desperate to know …
A heartbreaking coming of age story about a wealthy New England clan and the secrets they keep. The story centers around one Summer at the family’s private island off Martha’s Vineyard. A family that has everything from the outside: money, power, looks, etc. but that is deeply dysfunctional with siblings battling for their future inheritance and a …
