I picked up this book thinking it’d be some nice bedtime reading: a private island near Martha’s Vineyard, rich blond children, golden retrievers, and family secrets–should be a pretty fun, relaxing read, right? It started out that way but slowly got darker, creepier and more addicting until I knew I was going to stay up all night to finish it if …
It had a huge twist I never saw coming!
This book was gifted to me. I wasn’t sure at first if I’d like it cause it just didn’t seem interesting to me. BUT, I’m glad I read it! It was an incredible book! 🙂 There’s not much to say without giving anything away but, give this book a shot if you’re looking for new material!
I just finished reading WE WERE LAIRS.
I enjoyed it. Easy reading with a twist!
The “big reveal” in this book was spoiled for me by a member of the editorial team. And it didn’t even happen in the #spoiler room! Anyway, she shall remain nameless, and I decided to read it anyway. Feeling pretty ¯\_()_/¯ but it’s a quick read.
I loved We Were Liars! I was on a cruise last week and read 8 books, and this is the one that stood out the most. The author built tension really well, and the protagonist had a really unique voice and style. Even though I figured out the twist halfway through the book (I read a LOT in the genre), it was really satisfying. I’d definitely recommend …
This book was such an amazing read. I loved everything about it, the characters, the plot, the dialogue, and especially the writing. The characters felt very real, and the way the story was written was so beautiful. I loved the ending and found though there are many twists and changes throughout the book yet everything seems to feel right. The …
One of THE BEST PLOT TWISTS EVER.
This book had me sobbing under the covers at 2am. I absolutely would recommend it!!!
I couldn’t put this one down. Expect a twist 🙂 Enjoy!!
this book had an ending that i never expected.
Great book!
This is a quiet book with a big punch. It won’t leave you unaffected.
The Sinclair family is wealthy enough to own a private island where their family vacations each year. Cadence, one of the granddaughters, suffers a tragic accident and struggles to fill the blanks in her memory. When she is finally able to – wow! There were twists I did not seeing coming.
I loved the style of story telling in this book. It had …
This book was strange at first. The writing is interesting. The story is kind of slow and then it just catches you and you can’t put it down. That ending really had me like… WOW!
This book sucked me in and once I started I couldn’t stop. Even though I believe it is intended for young readers or young adults not sure which one I found it to be more than that. Once I got to the ending i was left in shock and not once while reading did I ever suspect the way it would end.
This book is absolutely amazing. it’s definitely a must-read. i love the action and event changes. the way the author brings the characters to life is astonishing. probably the best book i’ve read all year! hope you love it, like i did
Loved this book! The writing is fresh and original, the voice is unique, and the story keeps you turning pages until the last word. The author did an amazing job of creating characters and having them interact in such a way that all makes sense in the end. I’d say more, but definitely don’t want to spoil the perfectly-crafted ending.
There are many times we see others and think that they lead perfect lives, with perfect families. They have money, prestige, influence but is everything really perfect?
This book is about a family that feels entitled because of what they have, what they grew up with, not what they earned through hard work, sweats, and tears. As the oldest, Cady …
**spoiler alert** UNPOPULAR OPINION COMING!!!
Ok, so I am not going to lie, when I first started reading this book I absolutely hated it!! I thought it was weridly written, made no sense, and I just could not get into, but I thought that I am going to stick with this book! It has to get better! And then, out of no where I get hit full force with …
