A NEW YORK TIMES, USA TODAY & WALL STREET JOURNAL BESTSELLER!From #1 New York Times Bestseller Vi Keeland, comes a new, sexy standalone novel.Bennett Fox walked into my life on one hell of a crappy Monday morning.I was late for the first day at my new job–a job I’d now have to compete for even though I’d already worked eight years to earn it, because of an unexpected merger. While I lugged my … years to earn it, because of an unexpected merger.
While I lugged my belongings up to my new office, a meter maid wrote me a parking summons.
She’d ticketed a long line of cars–except for the Audi parked in front of me, which happened to be the same make and model as mine.
Annoyed, I decided to regift my ticket to the car that had evaded a fine. Chances were, the owner would pay it and be none the wiser.
Except, I accidentally broke the windshield wiper while slipping the ticket onto the car’s window.
Seriously, my day couldn’t get any worse.
Things started to perk up when I ran into a gorgeous man in the elevator. We had one of those brief moments that only happened in movies.
You know the deal…your body lights up, fireworks go off, and the air around you crackles with electricity.
His heated stare left me flushed when I stepped off the elevator.
Maybe things here wouldn’t be so bad after all.
Or so I thought.
Until I walked into my new boss’s office and met my competition.
The gorgeous man from the elevator was now my nemesis. His heated stare wasn’t because of any mutual attraction. It was because he’d seen me vandalize his car. And now he couldn’t wait to annihilate his rival.
There’s a fine line between love and hate–and we shouldn’t cross it.
We shouldn’t–but straddling that line could be so much fun.

We Shouldn’t was absolute romance PERFECTION! Vi Keeland definitely hit it out of the romance park with We Shouldn’t, and I fell head over heels in love with the storyline and characters she created, as well as her amazing writing style. It never gets old reading a Vi Keeland novel, and I already can’t wait to devour her next release!
The storyline was superb. Vi Keeland has an extraordinary storytelling talent, and I’m always captivated by the new stories and characters she creates. We Shouldn’t has hands down been my FAVORITE Vi Keeland novel to date, and I absolutely loved Bennett and Annalise’s story with all of my heart. I loved the concept of the plot and how everything progressed from beginning to end. I’m a sucker for the enemies-to-lovers and office romance tropes, and We Shouldn’t exceeded my expectations in those categories and then some. The plot was fun, sexy, playful, competitive, and surprisingly more emotional than I expected, but so much better than I ever dreamed possible. The conclusion to Bennett and Annalise’s story was absolutely perfect, and I couldn’t have been happier.
The characters were out of this world phenomenal. Bennett and Annalise captured my heart from the very beginning, and I fell head over heels in love with them and their story. I loved their personalities and smoking hot chemistry together, and how their relationship progressed throughout. I loved reading the book from both Bennett and Annalise’s point of view, and all of their banter and interactions with each other. The push and pull dynamic between Bennett and Annalise was intoxicating, and I couldn’t get enough. I was addicted to them and their unforgettable story from beginning to end, and was more than thrilled with the outcome. Bennett and Annalise have definitely been two of my favorite Vi Keeland characters, and I absolutely adored them and their story.
Vi Keeland definitely has another bestselling hit on her hands with We Shouldn’t, and I would HIGHLY recommend it! We Shouldn’t was contemporary romance at its absolute BEST, and Bennett and Annalise’s story has been my FAVORITE from Ms. Keeland so far! Vi Keeland continues to be a top favorite author, and I’m so excited to see what she comes up with next!
This story was so cute and funny, but the further that I got into the story the deeper it got, I loved that! We Shouldn’t was an office enemies to lovers slow burn romance!! Vi Keeland did an incredible job of building the story up slowly until you were so invested in these characters there was no way you could put the book down!! It is a standalone contemporary romance told from both points of view.
Meet cute…I love the meet cute in any book and this one was so funny. Annalise got a parking ticket the first day on a new job she saw there was an identical one parked in front of hers. So she decided to put her ticket on this car but she got her hair tangled on the windshield wiper and tore it off the car. Unbeknownst to her the owner of the car was watching the entire thing!!
We meet Bennett he works for an ad agency that just merged with another agency that just so happens to be where Annalise is coming from. Each of them held the position of creative director at their agencies but there can just be one director in this office. They will need to compete for the position and the loser will be transfer to Texas, which neither of them wants!! And you guessed it he was the owner of the car which she found out when he gave her ticket back to her oops!!
This is where the fun begins the chemistry and sparks fly between these two almost immediately but there seems to be an attraction. I have never laughed so much reading a book. Initially Bennett most definitely acted like a complete jerk and Annalise was full of sass and their constant banter and bickering was hilarious. But the lines began to get a little blurry the more time they spent together. Bennett is not a relationship guy and Annalise is taking a break that her boyfriend initiated from an eight year relationship.
Loved Bennett’s inner monologue it was priceless, loved how he was jealous and protective, but he ran hot and cold, say something stupid one minute and sweet the next he drove Annalise crazy. Annalise was a smartmouth and sassy, and she had some funny quirks. But don’t get me wrong it was not all fun and games there were sad and difficult parts of their lives and I loved it as we learned them all.
I highly recommend this story it was quite addictive!! I might say..it’s one of my favorite Vi books!
Vi Keeland NEVER EVER disappoints. We Shouldn’t was so much more than I expected, it had me laughing so much that it had me crying. Vi Keeland does such an amazing job describing these characters, and the story.
Bennett is your typical workaholic guy, all he wants is to focus on his job and nothing else. So when it’s announced that he is up for a position he really wants at work, the last thing he expects is to be fighting for the position with a woman who makes him feel things he’s never felt before.
Annalise works hard to get what she wants, she is also someone who never gives up. So when is she offered a job position she would love, she is put next to and fighting against someone who drives her crazy.
The way these two met was hilarious, they had me laughing so much, and their bickering and chemistry was off the charts. This was a book that I just couldn’t put down. Hands down, Vi’s best book yet.
I feel like I say this with every new Vi book, but OMG We Shouldn’t is my favorite. Make sure when you sit down to read this one you have the time to finish because you won’t be able to stop. This story is so addicting, heartfelt, and it definitely brings the swoons.
A sexy, friends-to-lovers office romance from the amazing Vi Keeland! Don’t miss We Shouldn’t!
Omg! Every time Vi comes out with a new book I swear its my new favorite! She has such a way with words and I absolutely love her characters! She has me feeling all the emotions! I’m laughing hysterically one minute and totally swooning the next!! Then of course you have your sad moments but I just finished and I’m absolutely grinning from ear to ear!
I absolutely love Beckett and Annalise’s story!! Love their banter back and forth! Loved all their arguing and definitely all their making up!
Ah, I love the build up in the book and it was just amazing between these two! Their chemistry was off the charts!! Beckett is so dreamy and I love his little smirk. He’s my new favorite book boyfriend! This is definitely a 5 star read for me! So if your on the fence think maybe you shouldn’t read this, then I’m here to tell you that you definitely should!!
I love this twist on an enemies to lovers, office romance. Bennett Fox is the hot, sarcastic, commitment resistant guy that is ready to go head to head against his new rival Annalise O’Neil who is sweet, naive, but competitive as her company has merged with Bennett’s and they are vying against each other for either staying in San Francisco or having to relocate to the other office in Dallas.
As they begin to work together, an unlikely friendship begins but also an undeniable, amazingly hot chemistry. They each have important parts of their pasts that are effecting them currently. This is the unique twist Vi Keeland weaves into this story that makes it unforgettable. We Shouldn’t is a fun, flirty, heartwarming story with a great HEA that you should definitely read!
WE SHOULDN’T’ is a full length, standalone, sexy enemies-to-lovers office romance novel by Vi Keeland, spoken in Dual POV. I
loved every freaking thing about Annalise and Bennett. They were perfectly perfect for each other in every way but they didn’t see that and that’s were the enemies to lovers romance storyline comes to play. The connection between Annalise and Bennett is really fantastic and amazing; I think it’s one of the best part in “We Shouldn’t”. I had a smile on my face with these two while reading this beautiful story. I fell in love Annalise so much because I could easily relate to her- she is fierce, smart, sassy, , sweet and determined to make it. Bennett started off as a bit of a jerk but I ended off finding myself liking him. We Shouldn’t is a slow burn office romance; I found it funny, sizzling, intense, humorous and sweet. I love the huge feels this book provided along with giving a great backstories to the main characters. This is one of the best enemies to lovers/ office romance stories of 2019 and 2019 just started.
My Rating: 4.7 stars *****
Gah! This book has me reeling with giddy emotion! I absolutely LOVE this book. For me it displays some of Vi Keeland’s best story telling to date! Enemies-to-lovers is my favorite trope and it’s not always easy finding one that hits on all cylinders. The chemistry between Bennett and Annalise was oozing with intensity. Their witty banter kept me on my toes and giggling for pages. And although Bennett initially starts off as one of the biggest jerks, he left me swooning and yearning for more. The connection between these two characters is fun and truly romance perfection. As with most books by Vi Keeland, “We Shouldn’t” kept me ensnared. This story and this pair is exceptional and really shouldn’t be missed by her fans or any romance reader for that matter.
With each new book, she manages to write characters you fall in love with, imperfections and all. I was hooked from the get go but that nickname sealed the deal. Bennett and Annalise may be competing for clients at work but outside of that they’re in sync even if they don’t realize it. Bennett is smooth, hot, intelligent, a gentleman and definitely swoon worthy. Annalise is no slouch, she’s smart, savvy and gorgeous. She gives as much as she gets and has a heart of gold. This is a definite must read.
Apparently cocky Bennett does it for me! I loved this enemies to lovers romance. Bennett and Annalise’s banter and chemistry was off the charts scorching hot! Bennett is sexy, cocky and you’ll hate to love him. Definitely one click! I highly recommend this book.

Vi Keeland definitely writes some of THE BEST banter in the game!

I loved Bennet and Annalise! Their sexual tension and witty banter was amazing and I freaking loved how they talked to themselves in their head! This book had me laughing out loud a lot! I have yet to be disappointed by anything Vi Keeland writes, and she didn’t disappoint with this either!!
Bennet and Annalise both have to compete for the same job, due to the merging of their respective Ad Companies.. the “loser” will continue their career in Texas and both have huge reasons not to leave where they presently are in San Fransisco!
I loved it !! I LOVED it from. Beginning to End! Bennet is confident, sexy, ruthless and most definitely a go getter, and determined to come out on top! Annalise is just as ambitious, gutsy, and is definitely not going to lose. I loved that their adversary is written on the wall right from the start!
Bennet had me smiling and giggling right from the very start, this man just about left me in a puddle with every action he took. Ruthless yes! But he needs no sword, his confidence has no bounds. The chemistry that the author produced between this couple was pure joy to experience, filled with explosve panty melting moments to heart warming cuteness that makes you forget everything but how this relationship and couple are going to work out. I just wanted to know them more and more. I felt fully invested and i absolutely love when the pages make me feel this way. Behind the journey of keeping their career on track, we also find the back story of each, brings in emotions that tenderly weave themselves into your heart in all the right ways, and leaves you in a little floating cloud just the way a beautifully written Romance Novel should !!!
Omg!! Such an awesome story!! Had me giggling from the very beginning!! The back and forth bantering kept me smiling and the turmoil had me sadden!! Such an array of emotions! Fantastic book, We Shouldn’t , but you need to!
The story of Annalise and Bennett still has me smiling. We Shouldn’t is the perfect book for anyone in need of a funny, heartwarming, hot story; Vi Keeland delivers! I found myself relating to the theme that we shouldn’t just settle in the safe and known, but instead venture outside to the world of new possibilities. And when the professional gets personal, anything can and will happen. Loved it!
THIS BOOK is TOTAL Kindle CrackWE SHOULDN’T IS ON MY BEST OF 2019 LIST!
Do I dare say that We Shouldn’t by Vi Keeland is one of my all-time Vi favorites? I’m so excited for you guys to meet Bennett and Annalise. We Shouldn’t was unputdownable. Ok, I’m lying I actually did pick up a SECOND time and reread a few funny scenes. Buy this book? YOU SHOULD! We Shouldn’t
I’m always looking forward to the author her books and was very excited to hear that this was coming our way 🙂 I really enjoyed this story and although there was one slightly small thing that bothered me a bit, I’d definitely recommend to read this book ‘cuz it’s just worth it!
When Bennett arrives at work one morning, nothing seems to be going right and his day is about to get worse. He’ll now have to try and do whatever he can to keep the job he’s worked so hard for; he will have to compete with his new colleague to not be send to another country. He and Annalise get off on the wrong foot but there’s just something about her that draws him to her and even though they’re competitors, the more he gets to know her, the more he’s finding it harder to stay away…
Even though Annelise is trying her hardest to keep the job she’s always dreamed off, things seem to not really go the way she’s planned and Bennett is making it even harder for her to keep on the right track. But slowly she’s discovering that there’s more underneath his surface and who knows what will happen along the way when love finds a way…
The more I review books, the more I *don’t* want to give out five stars. I’ve become more discerning in what deserves my time and my recommendation. So when I say that this book deserves a 5-star rating, I don’t give it lightly. Now is when I want to share why I felt this book was not only worth my time (because time seems to be in short supply any more) and why I think YOU should give it your time, too.
Workplace competition? Sure. We’ve seen this trope before. But Keeland builds a character who captivates your attention initially because who doesn’t love an intelligently written cocky and fun guy? Well, at least I do! You add in a woman who is strong, confident, and has her own set of quirks (I adore women who hold their own!!) and the story becomes interesting. Keeland creates a story, a relationship, between two people where they are fighting themselves and each other to navigate not only the occasional pitfalls, trials, and tribulations of life but also toward finding your soulmate. There is a definite lack of cliches (THANK YOU) which would make the story too easily predictable. The characters are so relatable because they aren’t perfect, their emotions (pain, angst, lust – you name it) are palatable and tangible that you often feel as though you are living in their shoes, regardless of gender. And that is what I call quality writing.
Annalise and Bennett are so well matched that you often wonder who will be the victor. But in the end, does it matter? Things aren’t tied up in a pretty bow in the end. And that’s okay. There are some tattered ends, some scars, some tears – but they all get you to the end goal of seeing just how these characters and the author are able to navigate what life throws at them. This is my brand of story, my desire when I pick up a book.
I want to be engaged. I want to be entertained. I want a writer to suck me into the pages of her story and want to stay there. Vi Keeland does this, and this is precisely why is not only a go-to author for me but also a favorite and 5-star story crafter.
We Shouldn’t is Vi Keeland’s next epic enemies to lovers romance. Omg!! I love a good hate/love story especially when there is so much chemistry and banter between the characters. And this story? It has it all. I didn’t read the synopsis so I had no idea what I was going into. I knew it was going to be epic after reading the first scene. Poor Annalise. She had no idea.
One merger. Two creative directors. One is about to be transferred to Texas.
Bennett didn’t see her coming. Really. He didn’t. He thought Annalise was someone completely different. The moment it all registered he knew he was fucked. Oh, he knew he was going to kick her ass all the way to Texas but he knew he would be distracted for the next few months. She was a knock out with so much sass and beauty who was going to make him want to paddle her ass. Not only that but she was smart. He would have to up his game. He put in ten years with this Ad Agency and he was not about to move to Texas. She would look better in a cowboy hat anyway. Even better if she rode him in reverse. Yeah. He knew was fucked.
Annalise noticed him. Who wouldn’t? He was drop-dead gorgeous. He was also an arrogant dick. He knew it too. Asshole. She didn’t have time to think about him. She had a competition to win. There was no way she was moving. San Francisco was her city. She wasn’t going to let Bennett shake her. Even if he looked so damn good in a suit.
I don’t want to spoil anything more about their competition but I have to talk about them. I love them. Bennett is such an ass. An ass who made me laugh so hard. Swoon. And get all kinds of hot and bothered. He just has the perfect blend of assholery. He can say something so stupid one minute then so sweet the next. He is protective and arrogant. He is so hot and cold. It drove Annalise crazy! And that is what made their story so freaking good. She saw what he was trying to hide. She is also a badass and that why I love her. She might not have the best taste in men but she has definitely met her match in the smartass category. Fighting is their foreplay and I loved every minute of it!
Overall…it’s one of my favorite Vi books! I did not want to put it down. I had to know what was going to happen next. The banter is full of sass, flirty, filth, and laughter. The chemistry is hot. The hate/love line is perfect. Amazing writing. It was definitely more emotional than I thought it was going to be from how it started.
Quotes:
“Can I get you anything else?”
“You got any ass back there? Because mine just got chewed out.”
He smiled. “Beer’s on me. Hope your night gets better.”
“Yeah. Me, too. Thanks.”
“Bennett?”
I turned back.
“For the record, I find you attractive, too.”
I grinned. “I know.”
“Are you any good?”
He arched a brow. “You tell me.”
“Get your mind out of the gutter, Fox. I was referring to your cooking.”
