A NEW YORK TIMES, USA TODAY & WALL STREET JOURNAL BESTSELLER!From #1 New York Times Bestseller Vi Keeland, comes a new, sexy standalone novel.Bennett Fox walked into my life on one hell of a crappy Monday morning.I was late for the first day at my new job–a job I’d now have to compete for even though I’d already worked eight years to earn it, because of an unexpected merger. While I lugged my … years to earn it, because of an unexpected merger.
While I lugged my belongings up to my new office, a meter maid wrote me a parking summons.
She’d ticketed a long line of cars–except for the Audi parked in front of me, which happened to be the same make and model as mine.
Annoyed, I decided to regift my ticket to the car that had evaded a fine. Chances were, the owner would pay it and be none the wiser.
Except, I accidentally broke the windshield wiper while slipping the ticket onto the car’s window.
Seriously, my day couldn’t get any worse.
Things started to perk up when I ran into a gorgeous man in the elevator. We had one of those brief moments that only happened in movies.
You know the deal…your body lights up, fireworks go off, and the air around you crackles with electricity.
His heated stare left me flushed when I stepped off the elevator.
Maybe things here wouldn’t be so bad after all.
Or so I thought.
Until I walked into my new boss’s office and met my competition.
The gorgeous man from the elevator was now my nemesis. His heated stare wasn’t because of any mutual attraction. It was because he’d seen me vandalize his car. And now he couldn’t wait to annihilate his rival.
There’s a fine line between love and hate–and we shouldn’t cross it.
We shouldn’t–but straddling that line could be so much fun.

OHH WE DEFINITLEY SHOULD!!!
Y’all… I have been blessed with the last several books I have read, they have been sooooo swoony..Of course We Shouldn’t is right up there with that swoon worthy feels!! OMG how can I have all these book boyfriends all at one time?? I may have to have a basement built like one of my book friends and start hiding them all in there!! giggle snort
We Shouldn’t was sooo much fun to read. I just love me a good ole office romance read!!! They make me HAPPY!!! Especially filled with all that ANGST!!!!
Annalise and Bennett are brought together after their companies merged and they are pretty much put against each other on who can do the better campaign for their clients. Of course there was a hilarious incident that had happened on the first day they meet and Annalise has some explaining to do…lol Ohhh let the shenanigans begin..haha
Of course Keeland always brings the heat and she has amazing storylines to boot!!! Freaking love her first meetings of the main characters. She writes the best cat and mouse chase and keeps me giggling at all the antics that go on..lol Ohhh I have something else I need to confess…I was reading in bed one night and I was laughing sooo hard I was shaking the bed and had tears in my eyes…I was sooo worried I was going to wake the hubbs up..bahaha It was EPIC!!!
5 Fan-Damn-Tastic STARS from me!!! Thanks for another fab read Vi Keeland!! Such a fun, swoon worthy book!!!
We Absolutely Should!!!!
Call me what you will, but I freely admit I’m a sucker for romance! We Shouldn’t has all the trappings for a perfect enemies to lovers, workplace romance. pitted against each other from the start and an intense attraction, not mention family getting involved- these two were doomed to a happily ever after from the start! I’m just glad I was along for the very bumpy ride.
The first chapter had a hook I just couldn’t believe. The first-person commentary of the hero is priceless as he voyeuristically observes the heroine accidentally vandalizing his car. What is most interesting is that I could completely relate to the heroine as she expresses her stress and frustration of the world being unfair while she steps forward to correct the perceived injustice. What happens next could probably happen to many of us with long hair, awkward enough to try and place a parking ticket on another car that looks just like ours.
What starts as a downright competition turns into a deep story that brings both characters to face their greatest fears. Many reviewers will say this book has layers. It’s amazing how much back story Vi Keeland wove into her characters. She had entire life stories for both. She uses them expertly and the flaws and foibles of the hero and heroine were heartbreaking and hilarious. It takes a lot for me to laugh out loud, but this book gave me more than a few moments when I was asked by my husband if a neurological event had taken place in my brain because I spontaneously started roaring with laughter. I have to say it is the best book I have read this year!
We Shouldn’t was such a remarkable enemies-to-lovers romance that shallowed me up, heart and soul. Vi Keeland seriously outdid herself because We Shouldn’t has become my favourite of hers to date. Bennett and Annalise had stolen my heart with their hot fights and even hotter make-ups sessions. This story was just so full of heart, pulling at my emotions with all that Bennett and Annalise were both going through.
Bennett truly was the embodiment of the “beast”. He was arrogant, hunk of a man who put up a front of being a jerk. But once Annalise stepped into his life, I loved seeing the real him. Because beneath all that, was a broken man with a protective, caring and loving heart.
Annalise was a confident and driven woman who just had her heart broken. She was so genuine and good-hearted with her moral despite the competition going between Bennett and her. I loved that she held nothing back, wanting to win because she deserved it.
They were two people who needed each other in their lives without knowing it. They had a chemistry that carved the path to a something so pure and beautiful. They healed each other in a way that only they could.
I cried at times with their pain, laughed at their antics, got worked up over their fights and fell in love with them as they did with each other.
Vi Keeland has been an auto-buy author for me from my first read, but this one… omg… this one is my very favorite! Sexy, fun and emotional… this is read you won’t want to miss 🙂
This is a great story of enemies to lovers and it couldn’t have went any other way.
Bennett and Annalise are competing for the same job now that their two companies have merged together. They have three clients to do as campaigns for and the one that wins two out of three, gets to stay in San Francisco. The loser gets sent to the office in Texas.
Can a little office romance throw either of them off so the other can win? Will Annalise find herself falling for Bennett in the end? Can Bennett cheat his way into winning the job to stay put?
This story is filled with laughter, pain, hurt and love. I love Vi Ireland and her writing style. If you haven’t read anything from her yet, read this one, you will not be disappointed.
Vi Keeland gives us another amazing read! Loved it!
We Shouldn’t {and yet they did} was funny, witty, with a little bit of heartache. Everything you want in book.
Bennett and Annalise are simply adorable together.
As usual, with a Vi Keeland book, I could not put it down and read it in one sitting.
Can’t wait to see what she comes out with next!!
When the companies Bennett and Annalise work at merge, they are thrown into a competition to keep their job since the newly formed company will only need one creative director in the San Francisco office. The other person will be sent to Dallas to replace a person who is retiring. Bennett and Annalise are opposites in every way except for their desire to stay in San Francisco.
Bennett is a jerk, but as I got to know him better I started to see hints of a nicer person. Our first glimpse of Annalise is her putting her parking ticket on his car and then accidently breaking his windshield wiper. But after that little temper tantrum, she turns out to be a very fair, honest person.
I enjoyed watching the back and forth between these two, and the end was perfection.

Vi Keeland once again proves why she’s one of my favorite writers with this deliciously fun- to-read romantic comedy. Highly recommend all of her books!
After our companies merged, Bennett Fox and I fought for one job. The two of us argued all day. The last thing we needed was to wind up in bed…
4 Stars!
This book… I just couldn’t get enough!
Told in dual POV’s, We Shouldn’t is a sexy-hot enemies-to-lovers office romance that is an absolute SHOULD!
Bennett Fox and Annalise O’Neil are both creative directors for their two companies who have merged together and there’s only one spot available for the reigning champion. Let the battle begin!
I loved everything about this read. Vi Keeland never fails to bring the sexy or the feels, and she absolutely exceeded both expectations in this novel. The chemistry and sexual tension between Bennett and Annalise was so much fun to read as they start out as competitors and quickly fall into a reluctant romance. Their quirky little antics gave this read some much-needed levity in the emotional ups and downs as we discover the inner layers of both characters.
Annalise was quippy, smart and lively. She’s had some recent heartbreak and it’s thrown her life into question. Bennett was the classic jerk with a sweet side you couldn’t help but fall in love with. He’s got a secondary life outside of the office and the author gives us a beautiful story of compassion and love that really humanized his “jerk” side.
And the plot? A traditional office competition romance, but as always, encompassing and all-consuming. I couldn’t put this one down from the moment I started it.
We Shouldn’t us an absolute must-read!
I absolutely love Vi Keeland’s writing. I know going into one of her stories that it’ll be a richly told, well-written love story that is complex and complicated—the kind of love that isn’t easily earned. Her characters are interesting, strong and formidable, and I know that she will put me through the emotional wringer, but it will be worth every gut-clenching moment to get there. Hers aren’t always easy to tell love stories, the great ones never are, but they’re consuming, all-encompassing and the kinds of stories that I get completely wrapped up in, and I absolutely love that about Keeland’s writing.
We Shouldn’t, appropriately named, wasn’t your typical office romance. Bennett and Annalise were rivals, pitted against each other, competing for something they both wanted badly. Antagonistic and adversarial with an edge of attraction, their chemistry sizzled off the page. Every encounter between them seemed to bump up the heat beneath the pot of their simmering lust. When they weren’t throwing barbs and bantering back-and-forth, they were practically scalding each other with the heat burning between them. Their relationship was an intense and forbidden, a raging storm of emotion and passion, and I simply couldn’t get enough.
Bennett Fox is my kind of hero. A bit broken and scarred, this bad boy worked hard to hide his good heart with a sexy, guarded demeanor. But there was so much more to this damaged man than he let show, opting instead to use a carefully constructed façade of arrogant cockiness and sarcasm to shield the good guy underneath. This was a man who needed healing, or more aptly, he needed a reason to allow himself to heal—and he found it in Annalise O’Neil. His usual M.O. was to play it fast and loose with the rules, but all that went out the window once Annalise entered his orbit.
From her OCD tendencies and color-coded files, to her mile long legs and bombshell beauty, he just couldn’t seem to employ those tactics against her. Bennett’s inner musings, cluelessness and utter confusion over his feelings were one of my favorite parts of this character’s development. Annalise was thoughtful, kind and, most importantly, honest, and despite her own trust issues and the broken heart she was nursing, she wound up being his perfect counterpart. I loved how she was able to see through Bennett’s act and call him on it. It was her willingness, despite her own relationship history, to take a leap of faith that ultimately guided them through the rollercoaster of emotions they needed to deal with to get to something real.
This couple had their work cut out for them to get to their happily ever after. They had big obstacles in their path, and they had to sift through some heavy baggage to get there. Keeland takes readers along for the ride in We Shouldn’t with an emotional and hard-fought romance that was as hot as it was humorous. I was positively enthralled by this love story, and I devoured this book with heart-racing anticipation in a day. Five smooches from me for We Shouldn’t by Vi Keeland!

Vi Keeland is one of the few contemporary romance authors I always read. She consisitently slays it. I always come out feeling warm and fuzzy, wishing I could’ve just stayed in her world forever.
If you’re wondering if you should read We Shouldn’t, you definitely should! Vi just has a way of creating characters that makes them absolutely compelling.
Sexy and fun! A fantastic enemies-to-lovers office romance!!
Maybe this book it’s called ‘”We Shouldn’t”… however Ladies and Gentlemen, You definetelfy #should read this masterpiece! Any words won’t be good enough to describe how amazing is this book.
In the first place I’ll say that Vi Keeland never disappoint ! This woman knows how to write unforgettable stories. Bennet and Ana capitaved my heart, soul and mind. Since the begining I liked very much, how author wrote their story. I couldn’t put this book down, from one page to another I coulnd’t wait what happen next. I feel so, so sad that my adventure with this characters ended…
Annalise is great heroine – sexy and smart. She SH(c)OULD be my best friend… my favorite sister… my favorite person in whole world. She knows how to work hard with having heart still on the right place… even if she might give hard times for people, who deserve on that. Her first meeting with Bennet was really suprising. I tell You in secret… she has done something, what good girl shouldn’t do, but Ana was so adorable with that, my heart could only swoon !
Bennet wanted to show Analise that he’s real aplha in whole story, but my girl didn’t give up. What I liked the most – Bennet is a little different than other bad boys in Vi’s KEELAND strories. I won’t lie… this makes Bennet QUITE refreshing male character in my eyes. He’s sexy and “try” to be commanding alpha, but he has too soft heart for that. His life wasn’t perfect, he think that he doesn’t deserve on good things… that’s why woman like Ana is HIGHLY NEEDED in his life. She will show him something what he SHOULD know since forever – he’s amazing man, who is worth to be loved.
Highly reccomended book !
4.5 Stars!
Annalise O’Neil is a beautiful woman living in San Francisco who is recently on a “break” from her boyfriend of eight years. While her love life is uncertain, her career is the one thing in her life that she can always count on. She’s worked hard to earn her place at Wren Media, and now they are merging with one of the largest ad agencies in the U.S., Foster Burnett. They would now be Foster, Burnett and Wren. Her first day at her new job so far wasn’t going smoothly. She was late, and received a parking ticket to start the day off right. The car in front of hers was an Audi almost identical to hers. It didn’t have a ticket, so she decided to regift her ticket, but accidentally breaks the windshield wiper. Then things finally begin to get better when she locks eyes with a delicious stranger in the elevator. This encounter puts a smile on her face until she walks into her new boss’s office and meets her new rival, aka hot elevator guy. To make matters worse, he’d seen her vandalize his car.
Bennett Fox has made a name for himself as the regional creative director at Foster Burnett. Now Wren Media is currently moving into their building, and they are to become one team. This includes sharing space with his counterpart from Wren, who is vying for his same position. They are to work together and put on a united front for their clients. He needed to be professional around the stunning blonde, but couldn’t quit fantasizing about the competition. There’s a fine line between love and hate, and it explodes as their chemistry heats up.
I really enjoyed this enemies to lovers office romance. It was full of humor, fun banter, and beautiful emotion. It’s sexy, addictive, and another fantastic story by Vi Keeland!
4 – 4.5 stars! Vi brings us a sexy enemies to lovers office romance that will leave you a little hot under the collar. Annalise and Bennett first lay eyes on each other in an elevator and the attraction is immediate. They both feel a little zing that has them wanting to explore further, until they actually meet and find out they’re both vying for the same job.
I loved Annalise. She is this savvy, very intelligent businesswoman who is making a name for herself in the Marketing world. After her company merges with another, her first day on the job doesn’t start out all that well. But seeing the hottie in the elevator brightened her spirits a bit, until she runs into him in her new bosses office. Damn, it’s a shame he’s so hot, because now she has to annihilate him in order to keep her job.
Bennett comes across as the typical, gorgeous, cocky, arrogant alpha who has no intention of going down without a fight to save his position. But this woman is gorgeous, and before long he can’t get her out of his head. I admit, I struggled with Bennett initially, because he said some pretty shitty things to Annalise, but the more I found out about him, the more I understood why he acted the way he did.
There’s lots of banter back and forth between Bennett and Annalise, and we get to see how they act with each other outside of the office. I loved how Bennett constantly picked on Annalise but did it in a way that she knew he wasn’t really picking on her. She has some pretty unique quirks that I fell in love with. Conversely, I loved seeing Bennett interact in the other aspects of his life, those parts really melted my heart.
Of course there’s plenty of steamy sex that yes, made me very hot under the collar! It made me very jealous of Annalise!
Vi never ceases to amaze me with the stories she weaves. Readers are going to go nuts for Annalise and Bennett!
Bennett and Annalise’s story is workplace rivalry/romance at its finest! But it is so much more than that too. I adore it and love the journey it took me on! Such a wonderfully written story, with such amazingly deep characters that are so much more than they first appear to be. Vi Keeland does it again with this emotionally charged yet fun and sexy romance that grabbed hold of me from the first page and never let go. Bennett & Annalise’s chemistry and banter is everything! I also adore young Lucas so much and his words of wisdom to Bennett and what Bennett does with them brought the biggest smile to my face many times. And don’t get me started on Sophie’s journal entries.
This is a fantastic story! Amazing couple! I could truly go on and on, but just read it!
Another amazing story from this author. I can not tell you how much I loved this one. Bennett and Annalise were the perfect match, I loved the banter between them and their competitiveness. This was an interesting and emotional read and is definitely a must read.
