This is the second book of Katy’s new series “The Raven Brothers” and I love it! The first book was about Chase and Sara. There was a lot going on with that book as the brothers had found out that in order to get their inheritance their father wants them all married, so Chase was the first one to tie the knot. Some things happened to Sara during the first book and Hunter as head of security for the family, felt as though he was responsible.
This book is about Hunter and Grace. She is a therapist whom Chase hires to meet with Hunter as the brothers have all noticed that he is not himself after everything that happened with Sara. They all think it is his PTSD, but that is not the only reason Hunter seems so angry all the time. When he is called into the meeting, he is shocked that they ambushed into an intervention with this sexy therapist. Although he could fight them all off, he is intrigued with Grace and decides to mess with her to see if the attraction is the same on her end. Well the banter between these two is funny, but she does cross a line that she shouldn’t and is now being investigated. What will happen between Hunter and Grace? Could the investigation be buried, or will she lose something big due to it?
This book also has a bit of everything from emotion, acceptance, a bit of drama, suspense to entertainment….it is a must read and I would love to know who is next – Kade or Ash. I would hope is Kade, I would like to see him tamed…. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Couldn’t put it down
Hunter is haunted by PTSD. He thinks he keeps failing the people around him. First his brothers in arms and then his brother and his wife when she was kidnapped and lost their child. He isn’t sleeping well and becoming more volatile. When his brothers stage an intervention, he’s furious. He’s also intrigued by the lovely therapist that they’ve arranged to help him – if he’ll cooperate.
Grace has always wanted to help people so she became a therapist. She’s worked hard, gotten scholarships and kept her eye on the prize, to the exclusion of everything else. Unfortunately for her, her father’s abandonment when her mother got pregnant with her and her one and only boyfriend’s betrayal has caused her to not trust men. And Hunter is more than a man, but a broken one. Can she help him and still trust him?
This is the second book in this series and we met Hunter in the first and I just knew his story was going to be great and it is
Hunter is a Iraq war veteran who suffers from PTSD in fact he blames himself for every bad thing that happens to anyone ion his life and this is leading to anger issues When they start to get worse his brothers force him into therapy The therapist that he needs to work with is Grace he is instantly attracted to her but even more surprising is the fact that he wants her for more than one night which is his norm as he slowly breaks down her walls she knows that she can no longer be his therapist so she hands him on to another team member. When his secretary becomes jealous and reports Grace for misconduct will it destroy what they are finally building or is it just a hiccup in their road to a HEA You will need to read to see
Grace is a therapist and Hunter is one of her patients. Even though they both fight their feelings and try to keep everything professional neither of them can stop how they feel for the other. This Doctor/Patient romance took me on a roller coaster of emotions and is a great forbidden romance filled with twists and turns, steam and a great HEA.
Compulsive. I found this book to be fascinating with a side dish of unputdownable. Kudos to Ms. Kaylee for a well rounded story. Even though Hunter and Grace have serious issues of their own you can’t help, but to fall in love with their characters and be pulling for them to find their HEA by the end of their story. To say this story was intriguing would be a understatement.
If you want complex but realistic and yet compelling characters, and line a strong dose of alpha male in your romance then, based in its first two books, Katy Kaylee’s The Raven Brothers is for you. We Shouldn’t (Book 2). I loved book 1, but Grace and Hunter’s story in book 2 was even better. Great plot, great lead and supporting cast and great writing. Can’t ask for much more. I’m definitely looking forward to the remaining brothers. As for this book 2, it’s highly recommended.
I was excited to have a chance to read a new Katy Kaylee book and I was not disappointed with Book 2 in the Raven Brothers Series. Hunter & Graces story is one of two hurting people coming together to help each other heal. Hunter suffers from PTSD and his brothers do an intervention and get him help and that help comes in the form of Grace. As soon as they both realize their attraction is mutual and cannot continue Grace removes herself as his therapist but their attraction continues and so does their relationship that we get to enjoy. The chemistry between the two characters is wonderful, and they are so believable. Katy takes us along for their journey and I cannot wait to see what happens with the next Raven Brother! I had not read the first book in the series which I just purchased it so I can read it to catch up on the entire series! I loved this book and cannot wait to read more! I am glad that I discovered Katy Kaylee as a writer, I will be following her journey as well!
I really enjoyed Hunter and Grace’s story. The story quickly grabbed my attention and the complex characters held it. I thought that the story line was very engaging and that it was easy to become invested in this couple. There is plenty of drama, emotions, tension and twists along the way as this couple’s romance evolves. I felt that this was a great read and a solid addition to this series. This is my frank, freely posted review.
Hunter is an enigma. He is the deeply brooding and intense man you’d come to know in the other book, but there’s so much more to him. Grace is a therapist. One that is thrust on him, I might add. He’d like her to be more than his therapist, but he’s a hit it and quit it guy. She doesn’t seem to be that kind of girl. When he’s forced into therapy, he sees it as a way to try and get a date with her. Things become intense quickly and she knows they are crossing the line. She’s also worried about transference. He doesn’t want to hear any of that, he just wants her to be his. Hunter has never felt this way before. There’s so much going on that is new to him. I love the in depth way we got to know him. I also loved how prominent the other Ravens (especially Sara) were in the book. Maybe fairy tales can come true?
