I absolutely loved Heather and Eli’s story. This is a fantastic book for all rockstar romance lovers. This story was full of laugh out loud moments, heartfelt moments, steamy scenes and so much more. I enjoyed all of the characters in this story and Heather even more so because she went through so much and she deserved her HEA. I will warn readers in advance to have the tissues ready because I cried a few times while reading this story. I will definitely be recommending this book to family and friends.

It was cute. There was so much that I wanted to happen for Heather and Eli story. I thought since they are getting together in lives where they are supposed to established, but they not relationship wise. I say that because the characters are mine and my husband age. I don’t want to start over again, like Heather.

I can not recall how the heck this book found its way to my kindle docs but after reading it I’m so glad it did. Corinne Michaels managed to make me feel so much emotion in the few hours it took for me to devour this book. Heather is such an amazingly heartfelt character that is so easy to relate to and Eli is so incredibly sweet. I fell instantly in love with these two, Corinne had me sucked into their story right away with the awesome friendships and banter, I was laughing my a** off! I have never before read anything by this author and now I know I will be diving head first into all her works.

I absolutely adored everything about this book! I loved that both Heather and Eli are mature, and accomplished, yet flawed. They aren’t perfect, but they are perfect together. It starts off with Heather going to a concert with her girlfriends to see a boy-band that they loved as teens. Heather’s life has been a series of tragedies. Her parents died young and she is left responsible for her younger, ill sister. She has had to be responsible, work hard, struggle and make hard decisions while her friends were partying at college. Tonight she is finally letting loose and having a night of fun. Eli Walsh, leader singer of Four Blocks Down, and Heathers teenage crush, takes the stage. He notices the beautiful, carefree woman dancing in the audience and can’t take his eyes off of her. When he invites her backstage after the concert, they both think it is for one night of wild passion. Neither is ready for the connection they both feel. But Heather has a sister who needs her and she can’t let this sexy man be a distraction. Eli never had a woman run from him, they always want something from him. He can’t help his attraction to this mysterious, independent, sexy woman and needs to find her again. When he does, she doesn’t make it easy for him. When he finally begins to break down all her walls, all he wants is to take care of her. But will she let him in knowing he will leave like everyone else in her life? Eli is so sweet, thoughtful, and sexy. The way he offers support for Heather is so beautiful and swoony. I love them together, they had fun and their chemistry was explosive. They really see behind the walls they’ve each built for protection. The way they support one another also shows how perfect they are together. There are so many funny moments, but there are some heartbreaking developments as well. This story is so multifaceted, keeping you engaged from start to finish. I loved many of the secondary character that made this story so honest and real. If you want to really feel every emotion from love & laughter to sorrow & heartbreak, and everything in between, then you definitely need to read this book!

When I started this book I was instantly drawn back to my teen years. This book is every girls dream come true. As an adult Heather comes face to face with her teenage crush and the chemistry is off the charts! I fell hard for Eli but I also greatly admired Heather. She’s spunky and I like my heroines spunky! This book was so fun and addictive so be prepared to order in dinner because you won’t be able to put it down!

And Corinne Michaels did it again! When you think it would be hard to love another book by her so much as you loved before, she proves you wrong and you love again! Hard, intensely, with everything!

This book was all the feelings. It was angsty and emotional as only she can write and it was amazing from the beggining! And not only the main characters were amazing, they all were. They all had flaws and virtues, they all had struggling to deal with. In this book, we didnt live only for the couple, we lived and we cried and we loved all of them for so many reasons!

Eli was every woman’s dream! He was sexy, funny, hot, successful, the lead singer of one of the most famous band! But he was so much more! He was sweet, he was loyal, he was normal in a special way! He was caring and protective and, as every ordinary person, he had secrets.

Heather was strong, she had the weight of the world and her shoulders, and she had to learn the hard way to say goodbye. So she had issues letting Eli in, and as much as we wanted to call her crazy for that, we could totally understand her!
She was nurturing, she was caring, she was a giver and selfless!
She was living her life trying to make things as easy as possible for her sister Steph (Who I loved, BTW).

Corinne’s books are always amazing, she always surprises and brings everything we can feel at the same time!
I’m in awe for this book and I already miss the characters! I need them again, and I hope she gives them to us another time… and another time… and another time…

This book is every woman’s fantasy…your teenage crush in your bed?! Yes please! Corinne makes this dream come true in a believable, amazing way. Loved this book and love this whole series!! Highly recommend!!

Corinne takes me back to my teenage years of being infatuated with multiple different bands. I’m showing my age by saying “boy bands” weren’t really a thing when I was a teenager, but damn if I didn’t drool over the guys in Foreigner, Van Halen, White Snake, Def Leppard. Yeah, like I said, I’m showing my age!

What would it have been like if I was standing in the crowd and the lead singer of one of those bands had pulled me onstage and sang a love song to me? I probably would have peed my pants! Well, this is exactly what happens to our heroine, Heather. She gets pulled up onstage by the guy she’s been crushing on since she was a teenager. And not only does he sing to her, but he invites her backstage after the show, and wants to take her on his tour bus….

Heather doesn’t do this kind of thing. Ever. She’s not this kind of girl. She’s a cop for one thing, with a ton of responsibilities on her plate. If it hadn’t been for her best friends, she wouldn’t even be at the concert in the first place. She’d be with her sister, who she’s been looking after since she was 21. But damn, it’s Eli Walsh, and he’s gorgeous and sexy and he’s looking at her like she’s everything, and he wants a night with her. Should she? Can she?

Corinne knows how to write that push and pull dynamic between her characters. She’s got that down pat, and in this case, all the pull comes from Eli and all the push comes from Heather. She doesn’t have time for a relationship with Eli. She has too much going on. And he’s a superstar, starring in his own TV series on top of being a talented musician. Sure it’s been 20 years since his band first hit the stage, but the fans are just as rabid now as they were then. Can she deal with his fans and his stardom and the demands of his career? What about the demands of her own career, being the only female cop amongst the sea of men, one of them being her ex-husband who just so happens to now also be her supervisor.

I’ve seen Corinne post about how this is a funny book, and at certain times I did laugh at the hilarious antics and verbal vomit that comes from Heather’s best friend Nicole, but for me, this was a serious read, dealing with multiple topics that were pretty heavy. Heather’s sister Stephanie just tugged my poor heart all over the place.

Eli had me swooning. That man was just relentless in his pursuit of Heather. Even though he was a TV star and a musician used to the roar of the crowd and the excited fans, he was really just a guy, real and down to earth. The more Heather gets to know him, the harder it is for her to resist his charms and his affections and his desire to find out where their relationship can go. But can she fit into his world?

Corinne injects her signature snark into Heather and Eli certainly has his work cut out for him with her. Not to mention she can probably flip him over and restraint him in 10 seconds flat, AND use her own handcuffs.

This story is sweet, and yes, funny at times, but also packs an emotional punch! Readers will swoon over Eli and laugh/cry right alongside Heather. A definite must read!
