From New York Times Bestseller, Corinne Michaels, comes a sexy new STANDALONE romance novel.I’m not a one-night stand kind of woman. I’m especially not the woman who has a few drinks at a concert and ends up in bed with my childhood celebrity crush, Eli Walsh. However, that’s exactly where I find myself. What’s a girl to do after a drunken mistake? Run. I grab my clothes and get away from the … and get away from the powerful, irresistible, and best-sex-of-my-life superstar as fast as I can. His gorgeous green eyes, rock-hard body, and cocky smile have no place in my world. My life is complicated enough.
Someone forgot to tell him that.
Eli is relentless. Pushing his way into my heart, wearing me down, proving he’s nothing like I assumed, and everything I need. But when my world shatters to pieces, he holds the broken bits together. Unwillingly, I fall desperately in love with him.
He made me think we’d have forever . . . I should’ve listened when he said we could only own tonight.

I fell in love with this book right from the beginning! I think it’s because Heather, the female lead, was so incredibly relatable.
When I started reading, I began having flashbacks of a New Kids on the Block concert from 25 years ago. Then I was brought back to the present and was reminded of when NKOTB did that comeback tour recently. Think adolescent boy band crush rekindled in a thirty-something year old woman. It was just great! Oh – and I think that Eli, the hero, was definitely modeled after Donnie Wahlberg (bad boy in the band, now playing the role of a cop on TV, etc)! So, perhaps that’s the reason I fell in love with the book so quickly – Donnie was MY adolescent boy band crush.
Anyway – it was a fantastic read! There’s a lot of laugh out loud and heart warming moments, but there was also tragedy and heart break. If you want a sensual story, packed with emotion and all the feels, this is it!
Can I just first say that I can’t stop listening to my favourite boyband NKOTB?
I had the biggest girlcrush on them for years!! I had a NKOTB pillow case and duvet cover so I totally got Heather when she mentioned her Eli’s pillow case!!
We Own Tonight was engrossing, heart wrenching and romantic- it’s such a compelling story. I Love everything about this book- the characters, the story and THE COVER!!!
I seriously devoured this book and was up till 2am because I couldn’t put it down and had to finish it in one sitting! Corinne Michaels has always been a one click author for me. Trust me, ONE CLICK THIS BOOK, the story of Eli and Heather is going to make you feel so many emotions. Corinne Michaels’s writing was flawless as always at wrapping you into a story with great characters and great plot!

Love Love Love this one- 10 *stars*
Eli Walsh is her childhood crush Heather is going to their concert with her girlfriends, she never goes out or cuts loose. They have great seats and she makes eye contact during the concert which leads to being sung to on stage and then brought back stage after the show.
Heather runs, but Eli isn’t giving up that easy on the first woman to turn his head.
I loved the characters, Corinne makes everything so believable and amazing.
OMG!!! author Corinne Michaels has done it again. I was in tears. This story is another one that is great and I loved Heather and Eli.
As the four best friends are at a concert of their childhood band crushes, Heather gets invited backstage by her crush. What she doesn’t;t expect is that she really wants to go and her friend Nicole only pushes her to go.
After spending the time with Eli, Heather runs, she knew it was too go to be true. She was only one in a million of the girls on his list of women. But what she didn’t expect was that Eli would chase after her.
As they spend more time together, the feels grow stronger between them, it is real and she doesn’t know how to handle it. She doesn’t have time for a relationship. She only has time for her sister and her job being a Tampa cop, which she loves.
Can Heather give Eli a chance? What happens when the press finds out about her? Can she handle adding him to the things she cares about?
Oh, I don’t know how many more of these stories by this author my heart can take, who am I kidding. I have my kindle ready to start the next one in this series. I love this author and her writing style. She takes the hard things in life and love more bearable and I love her even more for it.
If you haven’t read this author yet, pick one and read it. You will not be disappointed. I listened to this on audiobook and loved the narrators Zachary Webber, Andi Arndt.
Audio Review from 2017
This book was real and fantasy rolled into one. It was beautiful and sad and funny!
Eli Walsh is a dreamboat of a boyfriend and the ending made me laugh, cry and smile!
This book is worth every star in the sky!
Also this book stuck with me and I had to listen to it twice in a row before I could shake the story.
is is my first Corinne Michaels book and it made me fall with her writing. We can relate to have a childhood/teenybopper crush on a heartthrob…or maybe we still have crushes on them. Lol. Heather’s childhood crush is rocker Eli Walsh and she’s about to attend one of his concerts with her girlfriends.
They make eye contact during the concert and she is brought up on stage and Eli serenades her. Following the concert she’s brought backstage to meet up with Eli and things get interesting. Regret sets in and she runs but Eli is not willing to give up.
This is a really beautiful love story.
A beautifully emotional, and heartfelt romantic story. Eli and Heather are absolutely perfect for one another, they are total opposites but their connection, and chemistry is undeniable. I enjoyed every single moment of this sweet and endearing book. Can’t wait to read what comes next.
I listened to the audio version of this book via Author’s Direct.
This was my first book by Corinne Michaels and I thought it was very, very good. Of course, the narrations by Zachary Webber and Andi Arndt upped the ante even more. Both performances were spot on.
I was not expecting the heaviness that was found in this book right alongside the romance, but it definitely worked. The portrayal of Stephanie, the sister of the main character is certain to yank on your heartstrings. The romance and love between Eli and Heather is really good. I loved that she didn’t get all “junior highish” because he’s a rockstar. He had to pursue her and it felt so good!
Loved everything about it!
I dove into the audio last night before I went to bed not expecting to finish, I got so lost in this story and the narrators nailed it, they brought the story to life, the emotion and passion just oozed through my headphones. I was up until the early am so I could finish.
We Own Tonight, Corinne Michaels
Eli is the man with the heart! Ashley @ Carolina Chic’s Read
Eli and Heather are a hot couple that are trying to fight what is right in front of them. This book romantic with some heart-wrenching in the mix. Will love lead them together? You will have to read to see what truly happens, this book is filled with all the emotions you expect.
Love Eli and Heather’s story. It is beautifully written and will pull on all your heart strings.
Favorite quote: Heather ~ “Life isn’t full of rainbows and sunshine. It’s cloudy days and tornados that twist everything I love away.”
We Own Tonight
This is my first book by Corinne that I’ve read and it was sweet but with an emotional edge to it. There aren’t many authors that can get me to cry, so I was pleasantly surprised when I did as these characters snuck in and wouldn’t let go
Heather is an officer but rarely lets loose because of her responsibilities. When her girls decide to take her out for the night to watch an old band they loved while growing up, Heather is surprised when Eli calls her out of the crowd
An amazing heartfelt story of finding love again and the journey it takes to get there I received an advanced copy within a collection Kiss Me Slowly to review and I voluntarily leave my honest review.
O.M.G !
We Own Tonight is another fantastic read from this author. Her books are truly unique in every way possible …
… full of emotions …
… full of compassion …
… full of twists and turns …
… full of depth …
… full of heart and sincere feelings …
Eli and Heather’s story is no exception. They are a dream team if I have ever read about one. They are so perfect for each other – like pieces of a puzzle clicking together – so perfect that sometimes it hurt to read about it.
Their chemistry threatened to ignite my e-reader. 😉
They both come with quite some baggage … one of them being Heather’s sister Stephanie, who has Huntington’s disease.
The chapter about Eli and Heather visiting Busch Garden absolutely destoyed me. It was just too intense to keep it together.
Ms. Michaels has done a wonderful job of interweaving the horror of that disease with the otherwise very intriguing and romantic, passionate and gripping story. It makes this book a phenomenal read with many moving moments and a page turner par excellence!
5 STARS
In the past I never really had success listening to audiobooks, but I put in We Own Tonight by Corinne Michaels and now I can easily say I’m hooked. The narration was done by Andi Arndt and Zachary Webber and I loved listening to them speak Corinne’s words aloud, which helped paint a beautiful picture in my mind.
Heather and Eli’s journey gave me all the feels! I laughed and cried and there were points that were heartbreaking. I can’t wait to read more from the Second Time Around series. We Own Tonight by Corinne Michaels is an EPIC read that will join the ranks of the BIBLIO-ARISTOCRACY!!!
Corinne Michaels always writes books that get you in the feels. I think she lives off it. Like she lives by the evil witch persona. But I still come back again and again because let’s be frank she hasn’t written a bad book that I’ve read so far.
This book has been on my TBR list for a while. I decided to take a listen instead of reading and Andi Arndt and Zachary Webber we perfect for Eli and Heather. They brought the sexy and breathed it into these characters. From the beginning I was sucked in. At the half way point I was balling like a baby. In the end my heart was full and sighed a happy sigh.
Great romances have great stories that keep you captivated and are filled with heart and emotion and that’s just what We Own Tonight had. Eli and Heather were perfect together. I loved the connection and how the just fit together.
The story was great with a group of friends you want in your life; your very own tribe. You’ll laugh, cry and swoon and every other emotion in between.
A very intense, emotional, romance. So good.
I never cried so much over a fictional story, but Corinne Michaels had done that with Eli and Heather. There was lot of love and emotions. Eli definitely brought lot of our teenage fantasy crushes, and Heather brings out the next door girl feeling. I absolutely loved them and can’t wait to read from the series. Though they are standalone but they are worth.
I listened to this book via Audible Escapes. The narration was decent, but I wish Zachary Webber had been able to read more of the male parts. It kind of took me out of the moment because there were times when I expected to hear his voice and I didn’t.
The first part of the story was fun, lighthearted, and humorous. Even with Heather’s sister being ill, the story managed to stay fairly upbeat. I was expecting that sad moment, it arrived, and the story moved on.I
I liked Eli and Heather together. He was a great guy for her, especially after what happened with her ex-husband. I am not deep into sad, angsty books. Life can be sad and angsty enough on its own. This book had an unexpected twist that made it sad and angsty. I admit, it attempted to continue to be uplifting. I just didn’t want that much reality thrown at me in one book.
I am glad Eli and Heather got their HEA, but because of the added twist, it took me out of the lighthearted, romantic mood. Not to say that it was not a decent book. It wasn’t what I was looking for at the time. Between the angst and the narration, it became an ok book for me decent.
The first book I read in the series was actually the 4th. That book made me want to read the rest. After reading this book, I’m hesitant to read the rest. I read romance for the respite from everyday life. This book was not that respite.
So this one was a lot of fun because I’m pretty sure, no I know for sure after talking to the author at Book Bonanza, that the main love interest was based on DonnieWahlberg from NKOTB. What I loved is how the author kept us just slightly out of the loop without leaving us totally hanging about everything. I did get mad at the main character, Heather, for fighting the chance to be with her teen idol. And then I did get mad at Eli/Donnie, for not telling her the big secret he had! But honestly, I adored this, it was like if my NKOTB crush would come true and how I’d love it all to go.
I really enjoyed Heather and Eli’s story. Yes, some parts were depressingly sad-it’s a Corinne Michaels book after all-but the overall feel to the book was actually lighter then I expected.
