To what lengths will a woman go to save her family? Web-radio personality Bo Riccardi is pushed beyond her mental and physical limits when her husband, Oscar, is kidnapped by a man from her dark past. The abductor commands her to interview him live on her show, with Oscar’s life on the line.Giving in, though, creates an endless nightmare for Bo, as Oscar’s captor begins to destroy her career and … begins to destroy her career and alienate everybody she loves.
Bo’s secret asset is chromesthesia, seeing colorful shapes that reveal the intentions behind anyone’s speech. She can literally watch what they say. But relying too much on this gift renders her vulnerable to the madman’s purpose, making her even less likely to rescue Oscar—and escape the guilt and shame that binds her to the kidnapper.

This is a unique twist on the genre. Not just one character but two characters who have chromesthesia. Something I had never heard of before so, interest piqued – I looked up some information on it and found out that people like Billy Joel and Pharrell Williams have it – seeing their music in color. Here, the MC sees the spoken word in color and from that can decipher truth from lies. Very interesting concept. This unique gift aids the MC when her husband is kidnapped, making the well written story very fresh and interesting. I was drawn into the story immediately and the colorful descriptions [sorry :)] captivated me.
The narrator, Amy Deuchler, always does a fantastic job and she certainly kept the tension up as the plot progressed.
This was my first George Weinstein’s book. This chilling psychological thriller is captivating, and suspenseful. The storyline is well written, and the thriller unfolds at a great pace. Some scenes are very graphic! Amy Deuchler did an outstanding job with the narration. I enjoyed it! I highly recommend it, if you like psychological thrillers. I was given a free review copy of the audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.

Watch What You Say
By: George Weinstein
*REVIEW*
Having heard many accolades about George Weinstein, I hesitated to read Watch What You Say. What if this book did not live up to the hype? Fortunately, my doubts were a non issue because the book was excellent. I was completely absorbed from the first pages and hardly set the book down until I finished reading. A truly unique premise is hard to find, so I was excited about the originality presented here. The plot was complex, dynamic, sharp and insightful. Being so well written, the narrative was a smooth ride through a twisted maze with suspense at every turn that left me wanting more. The story was made even more compelling by the richly drawn characters. I cared what happened to this family and was emotionally invested in their ultimate outcomes. Overall, I loved reading this amazing thought provoking story. I wonder about the idea of this story becoming reality. What if? I find it frightening because of the plausible scenarios I can imagine. George Weinstein is a fantastic weaver of stories whom I hope to read further in the future. Watch What You Say is certainly a different sort of read, but it is worth your time. Do not pass up this book!
Wow! I found this to be a very interesting story line. It is written so that I was feeling the emotions right along with the characters. It was like I was there with them. I enjoyed getting to know these folks. What Bo, Candace, and Oscar have to deal with is one of the worse nightmares ever. I can’t even envision what I would be like in a similar circumstance. I hope I never know the hate Deke must have in him. What an awful way to live, but what a great character for this story. I and my book club have read other books by George Weinstein and when I had a chance to read this from NetGalley, I jumped on it. I knew it would be a good read and I wasn’t disappointed. I hope you’ll check it out soon.
