Enjoyed the book very much.
I enjoy books with real history backgrounds….the author made Martha & George come alive on the page. I gained a lot of insight of life during that period of time.
This book is informative tho it is listed as a historical novel. I have much information handed down in my family that goes along with the information in the book. I certainly admired Washington’s Lady Martha.
A very revealing insight into the history of the USA. The lives of a truly noble yet genuine family who despite the tragedies they faced yet understood the call and the responsibility placed on them by Almighty God to fulfill and lead desperate fighting people into the liberty of a new era in the history of the USA.
I absolutely adored Martha and George throughout this bigraphical novel. I loved the poignant manner in which this book was written. The authors mission was accomplished with this reader. I stand in awe of our forefathers and mothers. We truly take every blessing we have for granted. Thank You for reminding me of our great heritage.
I am almost finished reading this book. I have enjoyed it while realizing it is a fictional account, at times it is most believable!
An eye-opener of America history. A fascinating, intriguing, insight into history . I’m very glad I had the opportunity to read this book!
Well written and inspiries me to live for others too. Oh, to have their character and courage.
Ordinary people used extraordinarily to change the world for the better. Highly recommend this book.
An interesting read, though it dragged at times. It did make me appreciate what the 13 colonies went through to gain independence and to realize that without the French, it would probably not have happened.
I liked that George and Martha Washington were portaged not as perfect couple but with faults and failures.
I really enjoyed the first person perspective of this historical bio/novel. Martha and her life as an adult is fascinating.
