Blinded by anger, the man who had sworn to protect me, shot me in a fit of rage when I was only sixteen years old. He thought he killed me. But my job wasn’t finished yet. My days are spent as President of the Heaven’s Guardians MC. Nights are spent searching for the scum of the earth. Rapists, Murderers, Pedophiles. They all answer to me. I thought I’d seen it all. Thought my heart couldn’t be … thought I’d seen it all.
Thought my heart couldn’t be any darker.
Thought I knew exactly how far I was willing to go.
Then a battered and broken woman was found behind our clubhouse,
and I realized, I’ve never had a clue about the monster that lurks within.
They may call me Priest,
but I’d sell my soul to the devil before I let anything take her away from me.

Washed in Blood, Heavens’ Guardians MC, might as well be called Saint Michaels army. Their mission in life is to eradicate evil, protect the helpless from the world’s wickedness.
This is a heart wrenching and heartwarming story. I think my favorite is the premise of Heaven’s Guardians MC. They are a group of guys that are ridding the world of evil. The brotherhood is so strong but they each have their own demons to fight. Each one of the guys in the MC has been saved one way or another by Priest or the MC.
I will admit I was a bit confused at first and second-guessing a huge fact in this book. The beginning starts out with Priest’s past and why he is what he is today. It talks about losing his girlfriend during childbirth. Nothing about whose child it is, so I assumed it was his. This said the child turns out to be “Willow” the h in this book. Which had me flipping back to the first part of this book and rereading; worried that Priest was sleeping with his daughter. Which it finally clearly states at the end of the book… phew! I want to love this book but one of my big no-nos for a woman is to hide a pregnancy from the said H when she is not in any danger. No matter if it is his or not. She is putting that child at risk because we all know in an MC read there is always an enemy lurking around the corner.
I am looking forward to reading more about Priest and Willows relationship because she starts to come out of the shell her ex abused her into and I am hoping she gives Priest heck.
Willow is 20, pregnant and running for her life. After witnessing something she really shouldn’t have seen, Willow has to hide, but luckily the men of the Heaven’s Guardians MC find her and bring her back to life.. literally. Thinking she’s finally safe and with a man like MC President, Priest, to care for her, things are looking up. Unfortunately, fate has other ideas but will it be her past, her pursuer or her secrets that will be her downfall?
Well, what can I say? I started reading this as something to read while my kids had showers and the next thing I know it’s 4 hours later and I’m finishing it after not being able to put it down once I met Priest, Patch, Bullet, Angel and Demon. This was such a good story that grabbed me from the first page and didn’t want to let me go until the last. I really enjoyed it and can’t wait for book two. 5 stars for this debut author. If this is her first attempt, I can’t wait to see where Ashley Lane is gonna go once she’s had a bit of practice!

MC ROMANCE.

—————————————–
This was everything I expect and more from a good MC book. For a debut Lane’s writing dare I say it all though not flawless there were a few mistakes mistakes I truly don’t care, the way her cast of bikers are portrayed with flaws and horrific pasts, they growl and snap and snarl. I literally have not been able to put this book down . Priest and Willow’s story is up first, which is told in both ‘POV’ which I love , Willow has had such a tragic life and at such a young age, when you think, things can’t get any worse for her, they do, boy do they she witnesses something that threatens her future even more. When she is holding on to life by her sheer determination and will to succeed yet be in desperate need of help. I was shouting out for her. I loved Willow, Ashley’s writing has you feeling all the emotions, her desperation, her fear her sheer need for someone to help, yet its just one event after another, my heart broke for her. Ashley has ripped my guts out, I have shed tears, I have cursed and cringed, I have been on an emotional Journey of epic proportions reading this. I loved it, can not express enough how much I loved it. Priest aka (KING) what can I say, he is my new Knight in tarnished armour, he is a tortured soul, secrets from a past that he is trying to forget but he keeps reliving the moments in his mind, the opening few pages, were with him, I felt like a rung out towel, he carries his guilt like an invisible force field constantly. When Priest comes across Willow for the first time, he turns into this snarling cursing monster, protecting his woman, not realising she is about to upend his world , secrets will be told, events will unfold which will take your breath away, like a roller coaster ride. Yet again his life so sad. I adore books that take my emotions and just shred them , It is an ‘Insta- love’ romance, but with a big difference, Some might think it’s corny, I didn’t, Just the opening few chapters had me hooked, It has taken me 3 hours to read this, I haven’t moved from my chair. I do believe in God its a personal faith not necessary for me to go to church to express my faith or to prove it, but in the same frame to believe in one must also mean you believe in the other the Devil himself, which I do, and you need to read the book to understand the last part. I won’t go too much into the plot as this is a relatively new release, my advice just get it, you won’t regret it, It does go into some pretty heavy material, abuse, trafficking, drug abuse, There are scenes that will make you cringe. Not to bad, I have read worse. With this MC You are pulled through a mire of emotions and it is totally different to anything I have read, These bikers are tough men !! They are Hero’s in Leather, all have a story to tell, and you just know that they are going to mangle what’s left of your feelings, but if this is the start of lane’s career, I can not wait for more.
Final thoughts on this book, PHENOMENAL, HIGHLY RECOMMENDED 5 STAR READ. Full of Tension, angst galore, brutal events to take your breath away, So much sadness but with that comes hope, as well as love and loyalty to make this as far as I’m concerned the start of a breath taking NEW MC. that you just know is going to be Epic. Each character: Patch, Bullet, Angel, and Demon will get to tell their own stories in future books and I really cannot wait to get to know them better and find out what’
Lane makes a stunning entrance in the writing world with Washed In Blood. I’m sitting here still processing and cant get over the fact that, this is her first book! It honestly feels like a veteran writer wrote it.
Washed in Blood is just EVERYTHING you want and need in a fantastic MC book. Lane takes on a completely different aspect of club life with Heavans Guardians MC though, and I adore it so much. You’ll have go read it to find out what I’m talking about, but I promise it is totally worth it!!
Priest and Willow are just both amazing. Their characters were written and developed beautifully throught the book. I literally want to live in this world with them.
I applaud Ashley Lane on this book. It truly is fantatsic and I cant wait to tell people to read it!
Willow was running from one bad situation to another only to land in Priest’s arms. Priest knew the moment she fell into his arms that she was his, there was a connection through them that even he didn’t know. He is the ultimate judge and juror to those who sin. He will do anything for his brothers. Now he will do anything for Willow but will it lead to his second death? I loved this story and gobbled it up. I couldn’t put it down. Highly Recommended!!!!
Wow! This book is on fire! Can you say AMAZING? I finished it in in one hour, I didn’t need more days then that. Everything in this book IS FIRE…Ashley did a PHENOMENAL JOB for a first time author…now I’m very anxious and excited to find out what happens in book 2! Amazing Just Amazing!
Book Review: Washed In Blood (Heaven’s Guardians MC Book 1)
Author: Ashley Lane
FIVE STARS
Battered and bruised, Willow is found hiding in a hollowed out tree on the edge of the property owned by the Heaven’s Guardians MC. Priest, being the Alpha male he is discovers her and immediately claims her as his own. Fiercly protective, he does everything in his power to protect her and keep her save, until that day.
This book will keep you rivited. It will have you going through all the emotions you never dreamed you would go through.
Priest and Willow are great characters and way Willow thrives when she is with him is just amazing.
GREAT READ. I can’t wait to get my hands on more from Ashley Lane

Holy crap! This book was amazing! This is officially my favorite MC book! Priest and Willow are absolute perfection! You would never know this is a new author, the writing was excellent. Great storyline, amazing characters, tons of passion! I definitely didn’t want this book to end! Run, don’t walk and one click this bad boy! You won’t just read this book, you will devour it!
Washed in Blood is the debate book of Ashley Lane and she knocked it out the park. This story draws you in and keeps your attention and has you turning pages so quickly! I’m excited to see where this series goes. I loved it
“But I don’t want to be her prince. No I want to be her king. ” Gah! How is this a debut novel? Ashley Lane has blown me away. Priest’s backstory broke my heart. The creation and reason for the Heavens Guardians MC is simply great storytelling at its finest. I wish I knew men like Priest, Angel, Patch, Bullet and Demon in real life and cannot wait to hear about them in future books.
Willow’s story is intense, emotional and haunting. When the two meet, the chemistry is undeniable. I love them, even when I yelled at them for their thoughts and behaviors in the book.
“Come heaven or hell, I’ll follow you in this life, and in any life after.” I think this is my favorite quote in the story. What is so amazing is that Ashley is able to show such depth of characters. Even within the dark context of the story line, there is true love in this book. Love between club brothers, love between Willow and Priest. I love how the author shows even men who do the darkest of deeds in the name of protecting others still can be full of light and love.
The plot of this story was riveting. I could not put the book down. When can I read book 2?
Holy Smokes….Ashley Lane how is this a debut!! I swallowed this book in one sitting!! This is a dark angsty full of emotion story, Willow broken and tired of all the crap life throws her way. Priest out to avenge his past, it was a gripping emotional rollercoaster that I never wanted to end!! Well written and a beautiful story. One of the best MCs I read.
ARC given for honest review but have also purchased book
Ashley Lane can write a story that will have your blood pressure going erratic. Have meds close by because she is going to take you on a roller coaster ride of emotions. I love MC books and this one had such a different twist on what you would expect an MC to be. I loved Priest and Willow. I loved all the characters and can’t wait for each of them to get their own book. Ashley Lane gave a little tease of what happened with each member… only to leave us waiting and wanting the next book ASAP.
***Grab this book – you will love it***
WOW. What a book. First off, I can’t believe this is Ashley Lane’s debut novel. It was AMAZING. I was immediately hooked into Priest’s life from our first introduction to him. Then came Willow – a strong female who’s been through some tough stuff – you can’t help but cheer her on. They unexpectedly come into each other’s lives and take us on an emotional rollercoaster. I don’t want to give too much away, but trust me, you want to read this book ASAP! I can’t wait for Heaven’s Guardians MC #2. I’ll definitely be reading all of Ashley Lane’s future work!
What happens when two tortured souls find their one true love? In Washed In Blood we find out just how hard two people will fight for what they both deserve.
Priest is a man in a mission. He is out to right the wrongs that evil plays in our world. He is the president of the Heaven’s Guardian MC and one strong man that has been put through hell and back. He is a strong leader and his men will follow him anywhere.
Willow is our heroine that is stronger than most. Her life has been one disappointment after another. Not letting her upbringing define her, she does what any strong woman would do, she sets out to better herself.
As their story plays out, we see how things are not always as they seem. We always hear God works in mysterious ways, and in this book we get a glimpse at just how mysterious his ways really are.
This is the beginning to a new MC series. The author did a fantastic job at introducing us to all the brothers, and giving us a glimpse into just what each of them have gone through. I love reading MC books where the brotherhood is strong, and loyalty is their strongest strength. As we will learn in this book family doesn’t always share blood, but we see just how loyal these men are to each other.
Rating: 4.5 Stars
Willow James shows how tough it is on young adults that age out of the system. Also how easily they can become prey. Priest comes upon someone that makes him act a little strange. Being the first book in this series, we get to learn a little something about the other men in the Heaven’s Guardians.
This story shows the reality of life in the twenty-first century – no more Mrs. Cleaver or Donna Reed world. Our author shows that this is more of the harsh reality of today’s society. But white knights still exist. They just don’t ride horses anymore. In this modern age it’s the motorcycle that has replaced the horse. Maybe this is a modern fairy tale – what Sleeping Beauty doesn’t want a Prince Charming to kiss them awake.
For me, it was getting to know this group of men and Willow that kept my attention. The tension and angst was a nice added treat but I was more interested in how the author developed her world and how it was going to play out across the series. Until I read the next book I won’t know if this could be considered a standalone. You might find that you like where this story is going so getting ready for the next book isn’t an option. Even though the ending seemed a little bittersweet it didn’t stop my need for more.
I was not compensated nor was I required to write a positive review. The opinions I have expressed are my own.
5+ Totally Blown Away Stars!!! This new author has totally blown me away with her new debut MC romance. I was completely addicted from the the very first page of Washed In Blood. Priest and Willow’s story is one of the best MC reads of 2019. Gosh….their story is so addicting and jaw dropping good. I loved the good, the bad, and the ugly of their story. It’s a story unlike any that I’ve read and so unputdownable. I am super excited to see that there are more books coming soon. Omg…I can’t freaking wait to get books 2, 3, 4, & 5. I need more of this MC in my life.
This is a MUST read now kind of book.
Happy Reading Everyone!!!
Wow! Fantastic debut novel! This story captured me from the first page and I was glued till my kindle till the end. I had so many emotions while reading. The suspense was off the charts.
*Warning this story isn’t for the faint hearted. It is dark twisted and does contain scenes of abuse*
Priest and Willow have both suffered in the past. So much tragedy, pain and heartache. It really pulls at the heartstrings. When they meet it’s like to halves of a whole, coming together. They are truly made for each other in every way…
Only things aren’t sunshine in roses. Their pasts come to haunt them.
Will they be strong enough together to conquer all?
Can’t wait to see what is to come in future by Ashley Lane. She is so talented
Heaven’s Guardian’s MC Book 1 Washed in Blood is an outstanding debut! Absolutely fantastic!!
Ashley Lane is someone you will want to follow!
To say this is one of the best MC Romance books I have ever read is as easy and turning the pages. The way Ashley has written Washed in Blood is not your typical MC read. The rules of the club and they way of life is absolutely not what I expected, but devoured! Yes, completely devoured!
Priest and Willow are both broken souls who have had the world hand them heartbreak and despair. Meeting by what could possibly be fate you are pulled into this book and you don’t want it to end.
Thank you so much Ashley for an advanced copy in exchange for my honest review!
This author has blown me away because this is her first book that she has written. It is refreshing to read a first time author and know that she will go far. I am excited to see more of Ashley Lane’s books and to read them. This book is about an MC brotherhood family who have come together with their own trials and internal problems. These men are good men who need each other and yes they are rough around the edges but not what is inside. Priest, who is the MC president, finds Willow in the cold of winter as she is hiding. Willow is running from an abusive husband who has stopped short of killing her in the abuse. Priest feels and knows that Willow is his and that she has been put in his path to protect. Follow Priest and Willow in their discovery of each other and as a couple. Will the one secret that Willow has been hiding be the downfall in their relationship? Loved this book and can’t wait for the next one!
I finished this book last night. It is my first by Ms. Ashley Lane and I must say I was blown away. I found myself getting very attached to this MC, and was in awe of what they stood for (though the means may have had a moral issue), but I loved it. I loved the contrast in ‘fierce biker’ versus ‘man in love’. Pierce was a walking contradiction, but was so wonderfully written and loved so deeply, it contradicted with the mission statement of his MC, while simultaneously complimenting it. All of his brothers were written the same way. I found the entire book fascinating and very much look forward to reading the stories for the other brothers.
Willow even with her tragic past, is one of the strongest, most resilient female characters I have read in a long time. She quickly unlearned a lifetime of fear and pressed on stronger than ever. She managed to get this MC of strong, no bullshit bikers on her side and found herself a family.
