A fantastic twist on the stories behind the Battle of Hastings and the Norman conquest of England. A most enjoyable book!
Good, clean historical romance. Characters were well developed with some humor added to make a good read.
Impressive! Great historical novel about the turmoil in England–France during the early years. Can’t imagine living during that time! Really makes you stop and think. Please find more of this type of writing.
Kathryn LeVeque is the gold standard when it comes to romance. There are characters with depth and passion. They are beautifully flawed and realistic. The brutality and pageantry of the Middle Ages is on display and her grasp of history makes everything so believable. I look forward to every new book!
I love him. Don’t miss this guy. She writes with heart and makes you so invested in the story. My all time favorite.
I have never read any other books from this author but after reading this I have certainly changed my mind! I am not so knowledgeable about this period of history so I got educated along with meeting these wonderful characters! I will be looking for more stories about these men. The trust and respect these men had for one another was amazing!
I absolutely loved this book. It was intense, surprised me often and was very difficult to put down. It shows the beauty of a true brotherhood of honorable men and the depths of men like this. It also included the horrors of war, poverty, and the unkindness that man/womankind are capable of whether they be conquerors or just stronger or in power over another. Leveque has a new big fan!!
It was a well constructed story
Always enjoy this author. Page turner till the very end.
I read this Le Veque book after reading most of the other Wolf books. I just loved the series. Interesting characters, story lines, well written and it kept my interest throughout each book. They are romantic, which I enjoy. But it was the well written and paced stories that were special with these books. I was glad to finally get to Warwolf which helped me understand the background of so many of the original family members who develop in LeVeues other novels. She has become one of my favorite Historical Romance writers
PLEASE-do not mention my name or print it in any review. You can call me the California reviewer.
Love, love, love ANYTHING written by Kathryn LeVeque! I typically read most of her books using KU, but purchased Warwolfe and the entire DeWolfe Pack series so I would have it in my own personal library to revisit my favorite LeVeque family again and again!
As I am not a history buff I am not familiar with what was accurate. However, I read enough of these and it seemed on target for the timea. I liked that the female was feisty and had a head on her shoulders. Hero is a mans man that takes care of kin. In today’s world where men don’t take care of women, I love to read about the days of old where chivalry was part of a mans honor. All around a good read.
I can’t wait to read the rest of this series.
Enjoyable escape from reality.
I couldn’t put it down! What a wonderful story and characters!
Great Read. Ilove all of Kathryn Leveques books.
Magical Medieval Norman
What a story! What a book! I don’t know for sure if the book is based on real historical eventsKnights or people, but it’s a mesmerizing read! Kudos to the author for her research and writing skills that allow us readers to look into the ancient past!
Loved it!!! Makes you want more books, couldn’t stop reading. Great characters & plot.
Great story by a master storyteller!
I gave this book 3 stars, even though I was disappointed with it. The “hero” beating the heroine was, in my opinion, completely unnecessary. Moments qfter the beating both were attracted to each other. I found this appalling. There was no apology given..
But, if you can get past this and the boring parts. There are interesting parts. It does have a happy, if not believable ending.
