An assassin.
Born of torture and unfathomable loss, Sienna Faremin was forged into a warrior. A weapon to be wielded by the governing council, instilling fear in the hearts of even the bravest of men.
Assassin. White-haired battle sage. Monster. Murderer. Over the years of her service, she’s gained many names, all of which are far kinder than the truth. She kills without mercy, leaves no … mercy, leaves no witnesses, and follows every order because disobeying them would lead to immeasurable consequences.
A renegade.
Sienna’s new target, a man convicted of treason, is just another name to be added to her ever-growing list of victims. That is until she comes face-to-face with him and, for the first time, discovers a reason to not wield her blade.
Faced with an impossible choice, this battle-hardened warrior must decide whether to follow the council’s orders or stand up against those who molded her in a desperate attempt to not lose the last piece of her soul.
The decision is not easily made, though, because tainted pasts cultivate hate between these two enemies. And by the time they figure out they are better together, it might just be too late.
Perfect for fans of The Witcher, From Blood and Ash, and Throne Of Glass, Warrior Of Magick will put you in the center of a war between Humans, Vampires, Werewolves, and something so dark..no one saw it coming.

Warrior Of Magick by Jessica Wayne is an amazing story that I have had the privilge to read. This book was amazing. Love all the action and twists and turns . Kept me on the edge of my seat turning pages as fast I could to find out what happened on the next page. I can’t wait to see where this goes
Daxon and Sienna take you on an interesting, twisted, emotional read. I don’t know how she does it but this book takes you from one dark intense tging to another with each different page is something new and you find things may not always as they seem. It pulls you in and keeps you wanting more and more with an few things that may blow your mind. Can’t wait for the next
Daxon and Corrine want vengeance. Sienna and Zane want vengeance. Completely understandable, but who do each of them want vengeance on? There are so many candidates! Also, falling in love while riding the road to vengeance is generally not good timing. Falling in love with the wrong person while riding the road to vengeance is a worse idea. What a mess! I definitely need the next book to try to sort this all out!

Yay! Book 1 is finally here and I LOVED it!! This series is fabulous. A great mix of magic, action, and a swoony Daxon. Each character is complex and captivating. I cannot wait to get my hands on book 2. I highkly recommend this series to anyone that loves magical, paranormal reads.
Oh My Goodness!! Such a great book!! I was sad and mad when it ended. Needless to say I NEED to know what happens!!!! All the action and twists keeps you on the edge of your seat wondering what’s really gonna happen. Then when something does you think what in the world!!!! I can’t wait for the next book!
I received this as an ARC for my honest and voluntary review.
If you have read “The Last Ward”, this picks up where that left off. A suspense filled story of intrigue. The non-magicals want all magic eliminated and know just the person to call. The Guardians are almost wiped out and she is their only hope to find the last of them. A great start to a new series. I am anxiously waiting for Book 2. Highly recommend this story for all ages.
Jessica Wayne paints an intricate, intriguing fantasy world full of magic, mystery and deception. The dialogue and banter between characters is absolutely believable (laugh out loud funny at times, I’m not gonna lie) and the characters themselves are well written. This book pulled me in and took me for a ride. I cannot wait to see where she takes us (the readers) next!
Oh man!! Jessica did it again! I loved the book! The world is amazing and so full of action. The twists and turns, kept me going almost non stop. I loved the new characters, Sienna and Dax still have so much to tell that i can’t wait for the next book!!
I love love loved this book!!! I loved getting to know more about Sienna’s past. Daxon is still so very sexy. The twists in this book keep you on your toes. All the action will keep you from putting this book down. I can’t wait for the next book in this series!! Another fantastic book by Jessica
It was sort of just an okay book. I like bada** heroines. And I really dislike heroines who start out as bada** but start becoming over emotional and a bit pathetic to be honest. With so many characters, changing from one character to another wasn’t as smooth as it could have been. I’ve read other stories by Ms. Wayne that were great unfortunately this was only okay, We’ll see with Book 2.

Kill an innocent man to save herself? I don’t think so. It is just one more injustice for our heroine to fight against. Of course, her defiance will have consequences.
This is book one of the series, so a good place to start.
This is an urban fantasy story. The story is very well written and easy to read with an action filled plot that keeps things moving along. The characters are well developed and the setting is nicely detailed. This one has a plot that starts pretty quickly and doesn’t slow down much. It definitely drew me in and kept me turning pages. Overall, it was a highly enjoyable story and I look forward to reading more from this author.
Highly recommended.

Sienna is assigned to remove the last member of the Guardian family, Daxon. But she will quickly find out that Daxon was the boy she saved years ago when the Guardian academy fell. Daxon and Corrine, the only two left from the academy, have been traveling, searching for an answer to what happened the night the academy was attacked. Little do they know that Sienna is looking for those same answers. When the three come together, Sienna will defy the Council that gave her orders, and start down a road that none of them could have predicted.
Warrior of Magick had a wonderful cast of characters. Sienna and Daxon were both fiery tempered and quick to judge. The two of them going back and forth was energizing because as the banter grew more heated, attraction started to seep in as well. And even though Corrine was a secondary character, she went through a worthwhile developmental arc. I appreciate that Jessica Wayne didn’t cast Corrine aside and use her as filler. Paying attention to all the characters made this story all the more enjoyable to read.
The magic system in the Cambrexia Realm series is creative and tied to the innate power with the magic user. I loved the ability for magic to be different for each user, limited only by their inner well of strength. Jessica Wayne also dropped a mystery into the magical side of the world by confusing even the characters with a form of magic they thought was long gone. I can’t wait to see the origin story for it in the following novels. Needless to say, there is plenty of spell slinging action throughout this book.
The only downfall I found while reading was the sometimes repetitive actions. Some battles seemed awfully familiar to ones that had already occurred, and the same could be said for rescue attempts. But all in all, this was a fast-paced and fun read. The ending leaves the reader demanding to know more and rest assured I will be finding out what happened to all these characters by diving into the next book ASAP.
The book opens with Sienna on an assignment from the council. You start to see Sienna’s distaste for the council early in the book, and when she finds Daxon and realizes she was tasked to kill him; it makes sense why she is questioning her assignment.
I thought the world building for the Cambrexian Realm was creative. Jessica’s story telling draws you in and plugs you right into the story. You feel like you are on the adventure with them, seeking to unravel the mysteries around you before you end up a victim.
I loved Sienna and Daxon. The push and pull of their relationship feels almost, enemies to lovers to enemies.
I love that Sienna names her horse Naughty and that the horse is a side character in the book.
Zane is adorable and maddening as a best friend to Sienna in this story.
Corrine made me want to tie her up and leave her behind through most of the book.
The ending pulls the rug out from under you and leaves you reaching for book 2!
I would recommend this story if you love high fantasy, adventure and a slow burn romance
This was an entertaining read with lots of drama, action, romance, intrigue and suspense mixed in. It included strong characters, some of whom overlapped in each other’s lives, and that made this an intriguing read. Looking forward to the next book in this series.

An assassin Sage in servitude to the Magick Council is to be given her freedom if she kills a man of a Guardian bloodline because he supposedly set fire to the Guadian Academy. When she catches up with her target, she realizes who the man is. The Sage had rescued him from a bloodbath at the Academy where his entire family was slaughtered by vampires, werewolves, and other magical creatures. Or so they both thought. Follow the pair plus two others as they attempt to find out the real culprits of the Academy fiasco. Highly recommended.
