In Warrior Fae Princess, we get into yet another aspect of the fantastic DDVN world created by KF Breene. This time we dive deeply into the Realm, along with Devon and his pack, and Emery and Penny as they race against time to bring Charity to the Warrior Fae in the Flush in hopes that her people can help Charity control her awakening powers before they consume her. No specific spoilers here, but Charity learns more about her family and of a mystery surrounding the Warrior Fae. Vlad is dangerously hot on her heels, Devon is heartbroken knowing that he must live up to the prophecy given by the Seer, and Charity is nearly overwhelmed by this new world and the information she learns. This one is a rollercoaster of emotions, from fear, tension, and sadness to wonder, loyalty, and love. I like the overlap of characters from the Fire and Ice and the Natural Witch series to this series. The supporting cast is captivating as is always the case with KF Breene, the story is great, Charity and Devon are immensely likeable, and the humor ranges from subtly funny to snarky and laugh out loud hilarious. Breene’s Fire and Ice trilogy remains one of my all-time favorites, but the Warrior Fae books are giving it a heck of a run.
Excellent! I loved it! I love watching everybody work together. The warrior fae were definitely a bunch of buttholes, but I believe it will all work out. I loved getting to know Charity and Devon, another power couple. Can’t wait for the next one
This is a story of learning, adaptation and full awareness. And the narrative’s pace follows it. But undoubtedly, though we are captivated by the Charity and Devon, Reagan and her dual mage friends hold our attention whenever they appear. Let’s see what Queen Breene will bring for the conclusion of this fantastic serie.
Breene is the Queen of can’t put down hilarious fantasy. Her heroine is a confused college student turned kick ass fae. Loved every page
I can’t even begin to explain how good this book is. Charity is a awesome bonus to a well loved story. I can’t believe all we learn in this book. I know this is the last one for Charity but she will be seen in other books maybe. Devon is a everything she needed and will lead the pack to greatness. I’m so thankful Charity finds a place to call home and a family she needed. I have had a sad, happy, funny, scared ride with this book. I’m so glad it was written.
Was this book worth waiting , damn right it was . Trying to protect Charity from almost all of the supernatural world who would love to have possession of her Devon & his pack enter the realm to look for the warrior Fae , to return Charity to the protection of her family but what they found wasn’t exactly the fearsome Fae of legend unless saving the world from weeds & bad cooking counts . While Charity is overjoyed to find her family the pack not so much so , in fact they were like wolves in a hen coop .It takes a huge wake up call for Charity to realise what she’s about to lose & the Warrior Fae to see what they’ve lost , at times i wanted to shake Charity & tell her to wise up & smell the coffee , my heart bled for the wolf pack while she was living in a world that didn’t really want her in it but would allow it if she proved herself , loving this series so far & can’t wait for more .
DDVN has to be one of my all-time favorite literary worlds. I absolutely cannot wait to read the culmination of this series as the characters on their separate adventures begin to converge.
In this book, the race is on to get Charity to her people before her warrior fae powers completely overwhelm and destroy her. From page one, this book grabs you and jumps right into the action. You’ll find yourself holding your breath, hoping the pack can get Charity to her people before it’s too late… but then, the adventure and danger are still not over!
This will likely be my hardest review to write to date of KF Breene’s works. And I’m a diehard Breene fan. I concur with Breene that you should read the Born in Fire or Natural Witch series’ before starting the Warrior Fae stories. They’re all intertwined, but you need an intro to Reagan or Penny before delving into the Fae. These are adult books with sex scenes, but it’s just the right amount of romance mixed with the story. I enjoyed the romance and steam between Charity and Devon. I also loved how Breene showed a scene where Charity goes home to find clues about her mother’s whereabouts. It really ties her past together with her future and I think was essential to the storyline. It’s something Devon needed to experience, not just hear about, along with the other members of the pack in order to follow her. Her fae father is a breath of fresh air after the horrors of her childhood. He’s a bit of a softie after exile with the rest of the fae but we do get to see Charity bring out their true nature as the story develops. And we get to see Charity grow into her powers which are unique and intriguing. I absolutely love how Breene has her own twists on somewhat classic paranormal beings and their abilities which keeps you guessing.
Sadly, I think the criticisms outweigh the praise. The anticipation has been building for what, 8 books now, and I didn’t think it could get any higher, but somehow Breene did it. I’m glad she’s going to delve back into Reagan’s world next because if she kept stringing us on for much longer, there might be some mutiny from her readers. Having Penny and Emery join the world was also refreshing and ties everyone together between the books in this world. This book is necessary, but at the same time, I just want to cut to the chase and know what happens! The Red Prophet was a flat out weird addition. I know she’s adding diversity to the story, but I can’t decide if she’s beneficial or is going to throw everything into chaos. And I’m inclined to say it’ll be the latter. Which adds to the frustration as the reader on behalf of the characters. Lastly, the prophecy hanging over everyone’s heads the entire book was aggravating even if it was necessary. I felt like it was like watching a train wreck about to happen, and when it does, you want to scream and throw the book across the room but you keep going because you HAVE to know what happens. I’m pleased with where the book ends, but I’m not going to lie, it was hard to read to get to that point. Maybe I’m just not a person who enjoys that much emotional turmoil, but I’m glad I’ve read it and now have a greater understanding of the world Breene’s created as she reaches this pinnacle of action.
The 2nd story in the Warrior Fae trilogy is quite the rollercoaster ride. It starts at a sprint and doesn’t slow down for a second as Charity and Devon’s story continues. Full of action, adventure, danger, evil, sacrifice, fantasy, family, and steamy romance, Princess really felt like it had all the feelings a great story invokes on its readers. With a surprising, but firm ending that wonderfully concluded this arc, but hints at what awaits us next, Warrior Fae Princess was an excellent read and I highly recommend it.
The world building that has been laid in place to lead up to this book has been fantastic and you can see it all coming together seamlessly! In Warrior Fae Princess, Charity, Devon and his pack travel to the Flush to reunite Charity with her people. Their journey is fraught with peril but Charity has a nagging sense that there is so much more in play. Overwhelmed by this new place and her spot within it, she may let go of her ties and her heart in the Realm but is there more to her people than meets the eye or is it much, much less. Something is definitely off! Devon thinks the time has come to return home and he does not think Charity is supposed to come with him. Things will get crazy and I cannot wait to read what will happen next to this amazing cast of characters!!!
Amazingly Intense and Action Packed!
WOW! Book 2 was intense and full of suspense and edge of your seat action. I didn’t want to blink or I might have missed something. Fantastic story.
Once again K.F. has given us a world full of unique characters and places. There is no end to her imagination and storytelling. Her characters are funny and could make you laugh out loud but they could also kick your butt and put you in your place.
I love this series and I can’t wait to read the conclusion.
Another great addition to the DDVN world. Charity and Devon are amazing. It was fantastic getting more of a peek at the Realm. I love that this world keeps growing. It’s filled with so many brilliant characters. It’s fun seeing them all connect. I enjoyed the little flashes of what’s to come.
Make sure you’re comfy, because this action-packed story will draw you in, making it very hard to put down! The world building, descriptions and character interactions are so great, I could picture scenes in my head as I read along. I love Charity. She’s intelligent, loving, protective, magical, and a such a warrior that when angry has explosive results! I appreciated the humor that had me laughing out loud, earning some very interesting looks. This book is action-packed, with adventure, danger, suspense, mystery, magic, fae, elves, demons, shifters, secrets, warriors, challenges, vampires, a dangerous quest, romance, humor and more. This book will entrance you, and leave you wanting more. I can’t wait to read the next book!
Another fabulous read, which may well be the conclusion of Devon and Charity’s story, but boy does it leave it open to some massive further developments in this world, which has got me very excited!!
Devon must get Charity to the Fae in order to help her with her magic, she’s out of control and its literally killing her. Roger has sent a few extra’s along to help, giving Devon that much more muscle but also threatening him as Alpha. Penny and Emery are also along for the ride trying to get Charity past all sorts of nasties in time to help her. Vlad has set his sights on Charity, he knows how important she is and more he knows what she is, but strangely he also wants to help. So when some real nasty demons show up trying to stop them, Vlad knows another player has entered the game, he just doesn’t know who.
Of course this is fill with lots of action and excitement, drama, magic and fights, brilliant wit and banter, sarcasm and snark, all of which we are used to in a DDVN book, but there also a lot of depth of emotion with this one between Devon and Charity that will pull at your heartstrings.
Brilliantly written as always by this author, I love how she pulls all the characters together from different books and it just flows seamlessly! You get so engrossed in this world that the pages just keep on turning and you get lost in the story, just fabulous! As I’ve said I can’t wait to see what happens next in the DDVN world, by the looks of it its going to be major!
This book was awesome! I highly recommend reading this series.
KF Breene continues to amaze me with her awesome world building. The DDVN world just keeps getting better and more and more pieces are fitting into place while still maintain mystery, action and twists you never see coming. Charity and Devon’s story was another great adventure filled with action, sadness, twists and turns and love. It was great seeing all the other characters coming together from the other DDVN stories. And I can’t wait to see what happens next!
I am so happy to get more of Charity and Devon’s story. It’s so exciting and intriguing. We get to follow them throughout the Realm, accompanied by Emery and Penny, to meet Charity’s people and see her flourish, as well as Devon. Their time spent in the Flush was very interesting and page turning at times. The fight between Devon and Charity on the battlefield was exciting! I couldn’t read fast enough! I think it was my favorite part of the book. Their entire journey was fascinating. I have to say, every time Reagan made an appearance I was outwardly thrilled. I love her. The comments that were made about Reagan throughout the book had me laughing out loud. As always, with KF Breene’s books and this series, the characters are fantastic and the storyline and the writing is as well. This story will have you at the edge of your seat, crying, heartbroken, angry, appalled and laughing out loud.
K.F. Breene has brought to life another amazing story for the DDVN world.
In this one, you watch as Devon and his pack, along with some other beloved characters, try to get Charity to her people. The journey isn’t easy, but eventually they do make it there.
That’s all I’m gonna say because I don’t want to give away any spoilers but, just let me tell you, if you haven’t already started reading this series, you’re missing out. I’ve loved reading this series, the whole world really, and I know that if you give it a chance you won’t be disappointed.
Well done to the author.
When I think about the second book in the Warrior Fae Duet, I can’t help but sporting a goofy smile on my face – for many reasons. Listing all the things I like would take too long, so here is the short version: this book, like any of KF Breene’s books, is FUN to read. It has romance, magic, great characters, a well told story line with an overarching plot that draws you in and makes you want to know more about how this world is going to play out. And it has humour and a light-heartedness despite some dramatic issues.
While this duet can be read on its own, the enjoyment and depth of the story and re-appearing characters will be increased if you start with the first book in the DDVN world series: Born in Fire. I promise it’s worth it 🙂
KF Breene has done it again with another kick a*se story with a heroine who takes no prisoners and kicks a*se. I love the action and adventure, sarcastic banter/humor, sexy and witty characters. It is good to see some of the gang back together. These women of the DDVN world are absolutely brilliantly snarky, sassy and loyal. With magic and shifters, Fae and many others what could be better?
I can’t get enough of this addictive series, KF has the ability to transport you to another world where you can completely lose yourself and I know you will too.
