Fighting for love, honor, and freedom on the galaxy’s lawless outer rim…It was supposed to be an exciting job on a space station, but instead, scientist Dr. Regan Forrest finds herself fighting for her life when she’s kidnapped by alien slavers. Far from Earth and forced into a violent gladiatorial arena on the outer rim, she finds herself swept into the brawny arms of a big, wild alien … wild alien gladiator.
Weapon, brute, gladiator, warrior… Sirrush warrior Thorin has been called many things. As a warrior of his people, he was a dark, dangerous weapon until even his own family were too afraid of him. Sold into slavery in the Kor Magna Arena, he has long ago earned his freedom. Now he enjoys the violent but rewarding life he’s carved out for himself. Until he rescues one small, smart, and perplexing female from alien slavers.
Regan is determined to make a place for herself in her new home. She may not have the skills to fight in the arena, but she’s smart and knows she can help…even as she fights her attraction to the big, bold, and fascinating Thorin. She knows he’ll never be interested in her. But when Regan catches a glimpse of her cousin across a crowded market, she needs help to mount a rescue, and it comes in the form of the gladiator she desperately wants. A gladiator hiding a dark, uncontrollable secret with the power to destroy them both.
Note to readers: This sci fi romance contains a lot of action (think wild gladiatorial fights and daring rescues), tough gladiators (the warriors of the House of Galen) and a steamy romance (between a smart botanist and a big, wild gladiator). So if you like it fast, and gritty, and sexy, this is for you!
Includes a sneak peek of Galactic Gladiators #3, Hero, and a preview of Marcus, the first book in the Hell Squad series.

Q & A with the Author
Q – How would you describe the Galactic Gladiators series?
A – Gladiators in space! The desert planet of Carthago is home to the Kor Magna Arena: it’s a mix of low and high tech. Think the Colosseum of Ancient Rome with a touch of professional sports and a side of Las Vegas glitz and temptation. You’ll see a lot of action-packed romance as women abducted from Earth clash with tough, gritty gladiators fighting for love, honor, and freedom.
Q – Why did you want to write the series?
A – It’s no secret that I love action, adventure and romance. And I love science fiction romance and all the endless possibilities. Raiden, the gladiator hero of Gladiator, stormed into my head and wanted his story told. I saw this big, tough man covered in tattoos facing off with an equally tough female space marine from Earth. That’s where it all began, and since then the planet of Carthago, the intrigues of the Kor Magna Arena, and an amazing band of gladiators came to life.
Q – What order should I read the books in?
A – All the Galactic Gladiator books will be stand-alone romances centered on the Kor Magna Arena, rescuing abducted humans, and making a life far from home. Here’s the order I suggest:
– Gladiator
– Warrior
– Hero
More gladiators coming soon!
About Anna: I’m passionate about all things action romance. I love stories that combine the thrill of falling in love with the excitement of action, danger and adventure. I write about people overcoming unbeatable odds and achieving seemingly impossible goals. I like to believe it’s possible for all of us to do the same.
The Galactic Gladiators Science Fiction Romance Series:

Warrior is book two in the Galactic Gladiators series by Anna Hackett.
Hackett is an amazing science fiction romance author. I feel in love with this series and devoured it one book after another. Warrior captivated me from beginning to end.
House of Galen is the home of the biggest and baddest gladiators in the galaxy.
Regan is another human women who was abducted by alien slavers and transported to the other side of the galaxy. She is rescued by her friend from book one, Harper. Here we see that Regan is trying to find her place in this new world. She’s not a warrior, but she is good with plants. I was over the moon that the author gave us a heroine who uses her brains and not her brawn. Regan plays to her strengths and although she is devastated at her abduction, she doesn’t just sit in a corner and give up.
Thorin is a Sirrush warrior. They have very good vision, hearing, and sense of smell. He’s also a dangerous weapon that even his family fears. He ends up in the arena and attached to the House of Galen, as a Gladiator. He’s not sure what to make of this small women from earth who is turning him upside down. He feels he doesn’t deserve a woman like her. Thorin is a more complicated hero and I adored him and his struggle with his other nature.
Here we get to see less of the Gladiator arena and much more of the world surrounding it. As we see more of Kor Magna, we see that slavery is rife on this plant and we are introduced to more vile aliens and also along the way some allies.
The author flushed out the supporting characters; which made the storyline interesting. Besides flushing things out we are on the look out for more human women that have been abducted. I like the direction the author is taking.
The romance I adored. We see a very strong chemistry between Regan and Thorin, but it’s not as straightforward as some relationships.
Warrior was another fabulous read in the Galactic Gladiators series. I loved Thorin and Regan’s story. Enjoyed the plot-line and meeting the secondary characters.
Rated: 4 Stars
Dr. Ragan Forrest never expected that her new exciting job on a space station would end in her being kidnapped by aliens and sold as a slave. After finding herself saved by the House of Galen gladiators Regan is determined to help them find her cousin, Rory. Oh and she can’t stop thinking about the big brawny gladiator, Thorin.
Regan was rescued at the end of the first book but we don’t really get to know her. She is a smart and determined woman who has trust issues. I really liked her. While she may not be a fighter she has a strong will and helps in her own way. Thorin is a Sirrush warrior. He has enhanced sense and is a deadly warrior. His own family feared him. Thorin was a thickheaded protective alpha male but was also very sensitive. He feels he can never have Regan because he isn’t a good man. Regan was determined though and he finally admitted his feelings.
“Love you, my sweet Earth girl. My mate.” “I love you too, my big gladiator. Hold on to me and don’t ever let go.”
While we learn less about the other gladiators we do get to learn more about the world and the Kor Magna Arena. Slavery is rampant throughout the world and there are a lot of different kinds of aliens, plants, and creatures. I just really love this world that Hackett has created and can’t wait to learn more about it. Actually I am just loving everything about this series so far. The characters are great, the world is fascinating, and the romance is perfect!
Enjoyed this book. Read in 1 sitting. In addition to finding the primary characters likeable, I always enjoy the secondary characters being introduced for future stories.

Thorin may be a big bad tough gladiator, but a small curvy Earthling isn’t afraid to bring him to his knees. Excellent book.
I love how action packed all of Anna Hacket’s books are. They really pull you in from the first page to the last.
Ragen & Thorin really had to deal with their past, fears and insecurities. They had it rough with their families and dealt with back-stabbing so that left them with emotional scars. Thorin thinking he isn’t good enough. Ragen thinking she isn’t loveable. They really had to take a chance, open their eyes and look/accept what’s right in front of them.
I will say, I had a harder time liking Ragen than normal, usually I fall in love with all Ms. Hackett’s characters from the start. She just seemed to go on and on about how she was a nice sensible scientist over and over so it got annoying. But I moved passed that and really did enjoy the book.
Regan has been newly released from her slave status and really wants to make a niche for herself within House of Galen. She is a scientist and soon finds herself tinkering with the local flora and bringing all sorts of neglected plants back to life. She soon engineers a better functioning med gel which is a wow with the gladiators. She is a little forthright in her mission to rescue her cousin from captivity and throws herself into trouble at every turn. She may say that she never wants to be put in a cage again but she seems to be set onto a self destruct mission to end back there in her hunt for her cousin!
Thorin has been hiding his “other” aide from all but Raiden it appears. He has a bit of an animal within, one that even his family did not seemingly want to accept. He is drawn to the feisty female scientist but she is determined to send him into a protective rage, she will insist on slipping the measures in place to keep her safe!
We see more of Kor Magna, the casinos and the very “vegasesque” atmosphere. Regan does take some getting used to. She can be a bit grating at times and for someone who has endured what she has, I get that she doesn’t want her cousin to endure the same treatment but she also seems to be unable to follow the simplest rules to keep her from falling back into the bad guys clutches!!!
Thorin is complicated and wonderful! He protects Regan as best he can but still feels unworthy of her – silly man!!! There’s very strong chemistry between the couple but it’s not as straightforward as some relationships. We also see glimpses of the enigmatic owner of the casino and we finally find out a hint of what Kace is up to!
I did think the man eating flora was a bit much but when in space anything goes. Open your reader, engage the peepers and disengage reality and enjoy!
