Confession: I, Dandelion “Dani” Wright, am twenty-six years old and have yet to be deflowered. It didn’t matter, until Jacob West walks back into my life. This Jacob is no boy, though: he’s all man now—confident, charming, and so sexy my metaphorical blossoms are getting scorched. I can almost forget I’m supposed to hate him forever. Almost.War of the Roses is a 10,000-word prelude to Petal … a 10,000-word prelude to Petal Plucker: A Steamy Romantic Comedy and shouldn’t be read as a standalone.

War of the Roses: A Steamy Romantic Comedy by Iris Morland is the prelude to the next book, so it ends in a cliffhanger. But, its funny and cute, and I enjoyed reading it

This was a fantastic prequel and short description of the characters in the A Petal Plucker series from Iris Morland. I really enjoyed the other series from Iris Morland and this prequel was no different. I’m excited to read the other books in the Petal Plucker series.

What a fun and quirky story. Dandelion and Jacob are on a rocky slope from their time together in high school. Can’t wait to find out what’s next in their journey.

This a prelude to a new series, The Flower Shop Sisters. This is Dani’s, short for Dandelion, story. This is just a tease, you have to get the next in the series to see what happens. I liked what I read.
Adored this quick yet highly entertaining glimpse into Jacob’s coming home and the beginning of their romantic dance… was a fun and engaging read. Looking forward to reading more.
The good storyline and interesting characters made this book a very enjoyable and entertaining read! I look forward to reading more from this author!

What a great introduction into a new series! This quick little novella gives us a little history as well as present context on what could be in store for Jacob and Dani.

I’m already falling in love with Dani. She’s feisty, independent, and perfectly socially awkward. A heroine after my own heart. I’m not quite sure what to think of Jacob just yet. This little teaser of a book gives us a good idea of who he used to be, but not much of the man he’s grown into. I love the author’s witty, snarky sense of humor. It so perfectly matches my own biting sarcasm that I felt like I should have spent most of this book doubled over gasping for breath. (But since sarcasm is so much cynicism, I couldn’t possibly laugh that hard.) I just hate how quickly this book was over, and I can’t wait to see where this storyline takes us next.
This is a entertaining introduction and lead up to the book, Petal Plucker. I liked Dani a lot. She was quirky and funny. Jacob, in my opinion has a whole lot to make up for. The plot looks fun and the secondary characters seem promising. I enjoyed this prequel and look forward to reading more of this couples story in the upcoming book.
It starts with a childhood crush. Dani, the odd girl who likes to pull dandelions and the new kid in town Jacob. They become friends at the age of five and Dani’s love for Jacob blooms all the way through to the prom…where her heart breaks because she was stood up. Now after a decade Jacob’s back and Dani is a hot mess over it. This is a fun, get to know Dani, her parents, two sisters, her best friend and Jacob along with their competing flower shops. You can tell it is going to be fun ride with these characters.
