I tried not to look at her.I tried not to want her.I tried not to love her.But she won this war of hearts, and now I’m a man on my knees. This love may kill me.My president will see to that.No one touches his daughter. He’s removed me from her life. He’s sent me to hell where every day is a bloodbath. If he thinks he’s won, he’s wrong.Every battle is won before it’s fought, and she won this battle a … he’s wrong.
Every battle is won before it’s fought, and she won this battle a long time ago.
I surrendered in our war of hearts, and now I’ll fight to the death for my queen.
An explosive and epic love story set in the gritty world of the Storm MC. This is the second book in the new Storm MC Reloaded series from USA Today bestselling author Nina Levine.
“Wow…unputdownable! This book is an angsty, steamy, forbidden, slow burn with some major push and pull.” – Fun Under The Covers Blog

Fantastic, phenomenal, heartbreaking.
There is one hell of a twist that had me screaming NO!! But Nina pulled off the perfect plot to make this a five star read.
A-MAZ-ING!! What else can I say. This book was a long time coming, and as far as I’m concerned, well worth the wait. Nina has said a few times while writing it wasn’t quite, right, she needn’t to rework it, she needn’t to get it right. And boy did she nail it!! There are a few stories wrapped up in here, the main being the trauma Zara (King’s daughter) went through, the epicness that became Fury, first in fighting, then helping, and finally loving Zara, and what that meant for them. As a side note (if you can even say that) is the unbelievable h*ll that Storm is going through (never a dull moment with those boys). There was so much, it was literally either stopping my heart or speeding it up. GAH!!! Again, all I can say is A-MAZ-ING!! The rest you’ll have to find out on your own!!
War of Hearts is book 2 in the Storm MC Reload series and another AMAZING book written by the talented author Nina Levine. YES, she did it again! This book has everything, sexy hot alpha bikers, strong sassy women, great secondary characters, lots of action, drama, suspense, danger, twist and turns, deep emotions, pain, bit of humor, lots of cakes, hope, trust, passion, loyalty and a beautiful romance. This is Zara King & Ryan “Fury” Hayes story and it was worth all the wait. Zara is the MC Presidents stepdaughter, which means…..DON’T TOUCH! But they attracted to each other and their chemistry is off the chart. A must read, NO SPOILERS! Nina did an outstanding job writing this book. Sorry Havoc but Fury has become my favorite Storm alpha biker. I highly recommend this book and can’t wait for the next, Battle Hearts!!!
In Fury we get a story that was more than I could ever have imagined and definitely worth waiting for. Fury gives us Zara and Fury’s story and what a story it is. Zara is no longer the little girl we first met in King’s books Lilly’s daughter has grown-up and unfortunately part of growing up means dealing with adult issues. Enter Fury who comes into Zara’s life when she’s dealing with a serious trauma. He tries helping her being she’s Lily and King’s daughter. As they spend time together he starts having feelings for her even though she’s off limits. Holy Hell the story that Ms. Levine gives us is AMAZING!!! You really need to go on this journey with them as it’s so well written and beautiful in it’s honesty of emotions. The twists and turns that their journey takes are mind blowing you think you know which way the story is going to go but trust me Ms. Levine REALLY outdoes herself in how breathtakingly beautiful she wrote their story. The storytelling was EPIC and seeing more of King and Winter was a nice bonus. I would definitely recommend this book and I am looking forward to reading the next book in the series. I was given an ARC in exchange for my honest opinion
Dynamic! Explosive and heart wrenching but once again Nina Levine takes us on a rollercoaster ride through the wars of Storm Mc.
This war was a little closer to home for Zara and Fury they not only battled there own minds daily but the battle they put against there feelings for the sake of others time and time again tore me to shreds!
Zara was forced to show her vulnerable side which she’s always kept guarded it made my respect for her grown dramatically and by the end of the first few chapters I was in awe of the woman she was growing to be.
Fury has always been loyal to only one person in his life and since he joined Storm that loyalty grew to not only King but all the brothers around him. He finally found a true family and never wanted to do anything to endanger that relationship he held so high! He tries though, he fights with everything, he finally claims the life he wants only for his conscience to make him step up in ways it breaks not just him. One day he he gets that one little slither of a chance he was looking for, his second shot and man does Fury take it! This man will be playing on my mind for days! Hot doesn’t even cover him!
Zara is going through something that no one should have to and Fury makes her see that she needs help. They develop a relationship but his past actions splits them apart. Now several years later and he is now available and wants what he let go. Fury is fighting for their relationship, his life and the trust of his president. This book is emotional but with major details left out.
I am so in love with Fury and Zara’s story!
Zara has got to be one of the strongest heroine’s Nina Levine has ever written. With everything she went through she easily could have ended up broken and weak. But she was able, with love and support, to come back from it to become strong and smart and compassionate! I absolutely loved her.
And Fury, I just don’t have the words!!! It’s no wonder Zara fell for him. In so many ways he’s just like King. But he’s so much more. Maybe if King had found Lily at the age Fury found Zara, well who knows? All I know is I am a HUGE fan of this author and I think I loved this book more than anything she’s written in a long time.
Oh, and that little Chelle Bliss mention, LOVED IT!!!!!
I’m not quite sure where to start with this review. The first part concentrates on Zara and Fury’s relationship. Zara is 18, the presidents daughter and completely off limits. Fury is loyal to his president and his club and he’s determined to keep Zara at arms length. Zara was a surprise for me. She wasn’t what I was expecting. She’s only 18 but she’s dealing with some stuff and it’s making her grow up fast. When her dad hears she could be in danger he sends Fury to keep an eye on her to make sure she’s safe, throwing the two of them together. What starts off as just chemistry turns into more. As they develop a friendship Fury gets to know the real Zara and really likes what he sees. I loved watching their relationship progress and develop as Fury tried his best to help Zara and their mutual attraction turned into something more. Then we have the second part which seemed to focus more on the club side of things. Four years later and the club is still trying to eliminate its enemies. Zara has matured and healed (her character development was fantastic) and Fury once again finds himself drawn to her. This time around though he’s not going to be stopped from getting what he wants. That is until his president finds out what’s been going on, and feeling betrayed sends Fury away on club business, leaving Fury trying to mend friendships and relationships while trying to end the threats towards his club.
I really enjoyed this book but i wasn’t crazy about the way the focus of the story left Zara and Fury and concentrated more on the club side of things in the second part. I’m not complaining because I love all things club related and it did all tie in with what had been happening but I guess I’m just a little greedy and wanted more from Fury and Zara. Overall this is a great book. If you’ve read other books by this author than you’ll probably love this one too.
Wow what a ride! A real roller coaster of emotions, turmoil, tension and violence in this deep story. Gosh I felt for Zara and Fury, attraction and strong friendship build a great base for more…
The club has so much going on as well.both charters are up against it and it’s all hands on deck. This book is in two parts but don’t be put off by that, both are intense but oh so good. I sat up late reading about 3 /4 of this book before my eyes gave up on me, I didn’t want to put it down and hated that I had to go to work today so couldn’t finish it till tonight. A lot of this is about the relationships, between Zara and Fury, Fury, Zara and her family and them with the club. I loved how interwoven it all is, the love and the loyalty. Even when it’s hard it’s there..Some of the subject matter is sensitive and handled really well so you understand the feelings and the pain that go with it, I adore this couple and look forward to more of them in future books,. Nina always excelles with her books they are gripping and exciting often have me on the exge of my seat and the suspense is through the roof. I want these guys as my friends for real, each and every one of them both male and female have a big place in my heart and that just expands with each new character that comes along. Fantastic and compulsive read .
We might have had to wait for War of Hearts, but Nina did us proud with this book. Why is it the one you want, is the one person you can’t have. Fury never does relationships but the one girl he thought he wanted one with just happened to be his president’s daughter Zara. This forbidden romance will push and pull you so many directions that you are not going to want to put this book down. I fell for Fury right along with Zara, this alpha man might be tough on the outside but somewhere down deep there is something you can’t help but love.
I will always highly recommend Nina’s MC World books because I’m a StormChaser 4 Life!
Having had read the first one you know for sure you gotta read this one. This author has already captured you and kept you hostage so you must hope for some sort of reprieve.
This will also be a stand alone thank goodness for us readers. Fury will be the one whom will have to survive the war with Zara being the war lol. With that being said prepare yourself for heart stopping, mind pounding delicious reading where these two are concerned. Getting deep into them you get the whole picture.
This was worth the turmoil and waiting. This author gives us her all again still yet keeping us at her beck and call for another one.
Zara is fighting through things in her personal life and those that she thought were friends, really weren’t. It’s taken her a long time to realize that but she needs someone in her corner. Someone to understand, someone that’s going to have her back.
Fury is looking for Zara but not the way that you’re thinking but ends up being the one that he falls in love with. Unfortunately life gets in the way and it’s a War of Hearts. There’s only one way that it can go though.
My heart ached for these two for different reasons. I was hoping for their HEA without more heartbreak for these two. It was a wild ride and had my heart breaking and sprinting in my chest! Loved this book!
WOW! Nina nailed it. I absolutely devoured this book. The story was on point. The angst was over the top and I couldn’t get enough. I know things are about to go on a crazy ride in the upcoming books and from reading this one the excitement is building. This story y’all…it’s heartbreaking. It’s steamy. It’s funny at times. It’s just completely perfect. I loved every word. Nina and her awesome storytelling ways take the cake again!
Rating: 4.5 Stars
Fury would be in the dictionary under bad*ss but it may be hard not to laugh at his expense. I’m afraid the author made me do it – that’s my story and I’m sticking to it. Zara Bennett just wants her pain to go away. Your heart has to go out to a young woman that has a hard time coming to terms about something that was not her fault.
One thing I found interesting was how in some scenes the MC is referred to as its own entity.
I’m a little slow on some things and that was true here when I thought Fury was talking about a member of the MC but turns out he was talking about the MC itself. The MC is a living, breathing thing.
The author takes her story one step further by putting in a twist that had me sit up and take notice. She had me wondering what she has planned for our couple – where do they go from here. I had a hard time finding a stopping point before that. Once I got to the twist, it made it near to impossible to put the book down.
This story is two in one. We have our main couple but then we also have Zara’s parents. Our author makes the suggestion to read King’s Reign first and I think I would have to agree if you want to know how King came to be a part of Zara’s family. But his story was told in two parts so you may also want to read King’s Wrath and then King’s Reign.
Our author split her story into two parts. In the first part, Zara is just coming into womanhood. Stuff happens and that’s where part two comes in. There’s a space of time that’s missing between the two. Some may not like the split but I can understand why Ms. Levine did it. If she continued the story and filled in that time period, the story would have been too wordy and some readers may have lost interest. Zara and Fury give you a little idea about some things that went on during that time. So for me it makes sense and I didn’t mind the span where our characters were separated. We get just enough about the club but it’s all about the world that revolves around Zara and Fury. Their ending made me happy and then once I read King’s duet, I can revisit this one.
I was not compensated nor was I required to write a positive review. The opinions I have expressed are my own.
Well, good things come to those who wait. And even though a lot of us have been dying to get our hands on this bad boy, I can say that the wait was beyond worth it. War of Hearts is raw, gritty and downright sinful that will make your head spin, jaw drop and swoon all over these Storm men once again. Fury is just wow and Zara is amazing. Honestly it is hard to describe these two with everything that goes down without giving a spoiler. There is a lot of push and pull with these two that amp up the angst and leaves you begging to know what will happen next. With the twists and turns and the omg moments, you are on your toes the whole entire time.
There are a lot of insane moments in this story as the twists keep on coming. You get the rest of the MC in this series, especially King as he is part of Zara’s life. I love the backbone that Zara gets as she fights for what she wants, but I love Fury as he fights for what he wants too in the long run.
Overall, this is an amazing addition to the Storm world and all the Reloaded that we have coming to us! Levine gives us a gritty tale each time and I loved how this one played out. It was a little dark and a lot more grittier but the flow and the concept was perfect and I could not put it down once I started!
War of Hearts is simply fantastic. I couldn’t put this book down as Nina Levine brings out the big guns, both literally and figuratively, showcasing a love affair that is her most intense yet. Fury clearly earned his moniker as the lethal brawn for the Sydney-based Storm chapter and his attraction to King’s daughter turns that unrestrained existence upside down. But the chemistry between Fury and Zara is powerful and although they can’t be together, with a 4 year separation on the horizon, let’s just say that time apart is exactly what they both need.
I loved that Levine not only portrayed their undeniable attraction as forbidden but one that leads to a most unlikely friendship where Fury manages to help Zara when she needs someone most. There is this soft side to Fury that seems to only be shown to Zara and although they can’t be together romantically, their connection is one that is truly unique. Levine smartly uses a tough time in Zara’s life to showcase the lingering affects of PTSD and the necessity to find some outside help when a horrific event triggers nightmares and an uncertain future.
What continues to be the exquisite glue to these Storm books is the sense of family these brothers and their significant others have for one another. There is a no nonsense sort of code, each having each other’s backs even when tension is at an all-time high between club members. King is at the forefront as Storm is facing more and more threats and his love of his Lily and his children, including Zara, cause him to be even more harsh than ever. But it is completely warranted as the man will stop at nothing to protect those that he loves, and that includes his club.
War of Hearts is clearly the most violent of Levine’s recent books but she manages to soften the blows as Fury and his brothers fight with everything they have to make sure their families remain safe. These confrontations are Fury’s therapy so to speak and his reactions made perfect sense in a not so perfect world. I loved how Zara and her upfront and quirky ways gave him the breath he so desperately needed at the most critical of times.
I truly adore these Storm men and with King, Winter and now Fury as the potent leads in this continuing battle with enemies they are determined to thwart, I am more entrenched in this MC world than ever before. Nina Levine has upped her game with her flawless writing and attention to detail. She writes from the heart and the gorgeously flawed love that is Fury and Zara is one her best yet.
5 huge stars!
If I could give this book more than 5 stars I would it’s just that good.
I read this story in one sitting. I couldn’t put it down.
It’s gripping, action-packed and one heck of a roller coaster of emotions.
Fury is a man of little words, until her…
Zara doesn’t want any man to ever her touch her but him…
King is not going to be happy… OH, FREAKING WELL!!!!
Hang on tight and enjoy the ride.
Absolutely riveting !!!
What a whirlwind of a read! Seriously, from beginning to end I felt like I was holding my breath. So many emotions, so much drama, violence & forbidden love…&& simply being back with the Storm MC…GAH! All the feels! War of Hearts was so so worth the wait
Fury and Zara broke my heart (and almost my kindle because I may or may not have thrown it a few times; don’t judge me ) … Like a moth to a flame these two couldn’t resist the pull towards one another but their journey to happiness was unlike anything I’ve ever read. So many obstacles in their way and so many seriously heartbreaking things to overcome (Real talk the evolution of Zara as she matures and evolves was everything!) . I don’t want to say too much because this was such a unique read; definitely different from all the Storm books we know & love but different in a good way! I loved this book && I cannot wait to see where Nina Levine takes the Storm Reloaded Series next

WOW!!!!!! What a journey we were taken on, sooooooo worth the wait for this one. From the beginning to the end I was completely hooked. This author’s character and world development is just perfection in my eyes and I highly recommend her to anyone who will listen. Loved that it was told is dual POV as well.
I’ll start off by saying that Fury has overtaken King for my heart, he was so swoon worthy with his alpha ways and protectiveness for those he loves. Fury has won my heart! Everything about him I loved and could rave and rave about him, his loyalty, strength and determination, throw in his hotness and your guaranteed to be putty in his hands.
Now Zara I initially had my doubts about (really shouldn’t have I know) about how much I would like her but wow did she win me over early on. It was amazing to see her overcome/deal with the events that she experienced, what an emotional roller coaster!
This one I felt had us diving back into the gritty MC world (YAY) that the Storm MC are known for. So much intense action, drama and violence and it flowed so smoothly and while the overall plot wasn’t concluded and will continue into the next book, I wouldn’t exactly call it a cliff hanger. Really, really looking forward to seeing how things play out in regards to the MC drama’s in the next book.
Lots of King and Lily as well along with many mentions of the Storm brothers that I just inhaled (as I don’t want to let them go). Can’t wait to get to know the Melbourne chapter brother’s more.
Not sure if it’s just me but when I love a book as much as I did this one, I never feel like my review expresses just how much I enjoyed it and just how highly I recommend, not only this book but ALL the previous books from this author. One-click it now, you seriously wont be disappointed.
Overall an AMAZING addition to the series and am really looking forward to the next one!!
Wow…unputdownable! This book is an angsty, steamy, forbidden, slow burn with some major push and pull.
I get so engrossed with Nina Levine’s biker men, life gets put on hold! Fury is no exception to Nina’s sexy bossy alpha men. The sweet side they have for the women who own their hearts is swoon worthy.
Zara is King’s stepdaughter, and if you’re at all familiar with King from other Sydney Storm MC books, you’ll know that she’s definitely off limits. Fury is a hard and violent man who has been given the task of keeping an eye on Zara, but it’s when he finds he can’t keep his eyes off of her, that things get complicated. Zara might be somewhat broken, but she’s certainly no pushover and really wants to dislike cranky Fury, but even when they’re fighting, she can’t help being attracted. You know what they say about that line between lust, hate and love…it’s very fine!
Alongside the romance in this series, Nina deals with some serious issues, such as PTSD and rape, and she does it so well. We also get a violent and suspenseful storyline of corruption and MC battles. Fury and Zara’s love may have reached a happy ending, but the MC war rages on and we now need the next book to find out how things play out.
