Three keys to claiming Wonderland’s throne:1. Win over the citizens (who are caught up in a drug-fueled daze).2. Recover the magical artifacts of my royal line (which are hidden behind a squad of brutal guards).3. Draw on the love of the three most extraordinary men I’ve ever met (one of whom is held captive by a tyrant queen).Okay, I’ve got my work cut out for me. But my people and my lovers are … my people and my lovers are counting on me. I won’t give up this wondrous land that feels more like a home than the world I grew up in ever did.
There’s a new queen in town. The Hearts and Diamonds had better get ready to bow down.
Wanton Wonderland is the third and final book in a medium-burn reverse harem series that reimagines Alice in Wonderland. If you love spirited heroines, hot men with secrets to spare, and worlds full of unexpected delights and horrors, step through the looking-glass today!

You’d say that at some point someone who has read as many Wonderland retellings as I have should grow tired of them. But it seems that as long as authors bring in something original and really tell their own tale, there’s no way I will ever get enough of them. I love Wonderland, I love the possibility of a world where weird things are normal and I most of all love the promise that we can reach it from our world if only we happen to find the right rabbit hole or the right mirror.
Eva Chase wrapped up her trilogy very nicely in this last book. Every loose strand and every possible question was tied and answered in this last book. All the small things that had happened and that Lyssa had done, all the people we’ve encountered, everything Theo, Hatter and Chess have said and done and endured: It all came into play and was important, leading somewhere.
I love how this story was told from both Lyssa’s and her guys’ point of views. It not only helped us to get to know the guys a little better (and to fall even more in love with them), but it also made sure we had the entire picture of what was going on, of what was important, of what was actually happening and what was coming.
It also made sure that the book was never boring. Even though the epic fight took a lot of preparation there was so much happening and going on that it stayed interesting. I liked the politics and the schemes. I also liked the plans going wrong, people having to regroup and rethink. And I mostly liked how each character had their own fight to win, no matter how small.
The Looking-Glass Curse certainly is one of my favorite Wonderland retellings and I can’t wait to read more books by Eva Chase.
A great read with a ton of action and a delightfully happy ending.
Much less romance in this book, but the nonstop action made up for it. A great closing to the trilogy. I’m really looking forward to the spinoff series about Hatter‘s daughter.
We have come to the final book in the Looking-Glass Curse Series — Wanton Wonderland. It is sad to see this version of the classic fairy tale Alice In Wonderland come to an end. We can only hope to visit this version again with an update to how things are going for Lyssa, Theo, Hatter & Chess. I loved the interaction and growth of Lyssa and her men. There is much going on in this book: Lyssa must get back to Wonderland from Otherland, find and learn how to use the magical artifacts to defeat the Queen, free Theo from the Queen, and win over the citizens. Quite a lot to accomplish. This book is action packed with twists and turns, romance, and moves along at a fast pace. I highly recommend this book and series. This series is one that will be read over and over. I never cared for the classic Alice In Wonderland, but I love this one that Eva Chase has created. Received a copy and this is my voluntary and honest review.
As the final book in the trilogy, Wanton Wonderland continues where it left off from book 2. Wanton Wonderland started the story where Lyssa wakes up in the hospital weeks after her accident. She is now in a mission to go back since she didn’t have any idea what was happening to her kingdom. After giving the slip to her bestfriend Melody, she hurriedly went back to Wonderland to rescue its people and to claim her right for the throne.
Every story has to come to an end, and this ending has some bittersweet tone to it for me. Although they have some losses, they still come up the winner in the end. There are still a lot of work to do for Lyssa and her men and the ending seems kind of open ended for me. I hope that we get to revisit this world again through some spin off perhaps or a short novella.
I love it when a book’s blurb can describe something spectacular and be 100% accurate. That’s certainly the case with the blurb for Eva Chase’s Wanton Wonderland (The Looking-Glass Curse Book 3). This retelling of the classic Alice in Wonderland is recognizable for its origin source but a totally and wonderfully imaginative variation. It is also most definitely a book for anyone interested in “spirited heroines, hot men with secrets to spare, and worlds full of unexpected delights and horrors”. Our leading lady, Lyssa, truly is a spirited heroine who has finally and most definitively come into her own. She has an evil Queen to take on and a throne to recover in this story that’s full of wonderful action and adventure and a slow burn reverse harem romance that finally reaches its full potential. For those who have been following the series be happy as it gets the finale it deserves. For newcomers, you can read this as s standalone but don’t as you’re vastly better off starting with book 1 (thoroughly enjoyable, and separately reviewed) and going from there to the end. But for the fact that I’m literally dictating this review to my husband from my hospital bed I could go on and on with praises. The book definitely deserves it. Since I can’t do that I will simply note that the book is most definitely one to read, and it is easy to highly recommend.
Wow what a series. This book was just as phenomenal as the first 2. I absolutely loved this story. I won’t put any spoilers in but this is a definite must read. My only issue was now the series is over!!! Anyone who loves any retelling of Alice in wonderland needs to read this. I kind of want my own Mad Hatter, Cheshire cat and White Night. Again I really really loved this story. Author did a fantastic job writing. Will have to read more from her. Loved it.
Grand finale! Wow, what an adventure Lyssa has had. She takes her role as the Red Queen more seriously now. With her loved ones being dragged into the fray, Lyssa and her men become closer and more powerful than anyone thought. Especially the Queen of Hearts!
