Frustratingly short prequel to a series
Very tempting teaser to buy the rest of the series. I really want to find out more. Looks like there’s going to be a lot more hot and steamy, with intrigue and violence thrown in with equal measure.
Wanted by the Alpha
Knotted Omega #0.5
by Laxmi Hariharan & Scarlette Brooke
Narrated by Tor Thom and Charley Ongel
I have had the pleasure of hearing the Knotted Omega series and this prequel is just icing on the cake. Knowing these characters, it’s always enjoyable getting to hear a little of their back story. In this short novella, we get to hear how Zeus met his family and came to be the general. We also learn of the vivid dreams he was having about an omega, and to find she too was having the same dream. Will they ever meet? It puts a some perspective into the characters and their reasons for their choices. Be sure to grab book one to meet this ferociously hot couple! It’s a wild steamy ride.
Tor Thom and Charley Ongel bring this novella to life. They are fantastic. Thom has his Scottish accent revved up and bring personality Zeus and his father. Ongel dreams through Lucy, giving us a glimpse of what is to come. Another fun listen!
This the prequel to the The Knotted Omega Series.
Genetic mutation brought on by global warming has divided the human race into three subspecies: alphas the predators and the protectors, omegas the nurturers, and betas who fall somewhere in between.
Zeus is what the author likes to call an “alphahole” Also known as the “Bastard of the East End” he is here to kill his father the General.
He hates him with a passion. Zeus’s mother was made pregnant by him, and rather than take her for a mate, he threw her into the streets, where she then sold herself so that her son could survive!! So that makes him the heir to his father’s estate.
Zeus wants nothing to do with it, but he will take command and lead this community the way it was suppose to be run.
Lucy is a Russian princess, but as an omega she has no rights, her father might have trained her to be a warrior, a free thinker and an independent woman, but with the Vikings at their door, her father bargains with them. And Lucy is just a bargaining chip!!
And a warning, this does end on a cliffhanger!!
Wanted by the Alpha (Knotted Omega #.05) is the prequel to the Knotted Omega Series. A sliver of a darker world in this dystopian romance with a Omegaverse tone. We get a morsel of what’s to come. The setting and character’s are intriguing and I am looking forward to reading about this infinity universe.
This is just an intro to the series. You meet Zeus who has killed his father to become General of the land. You meet Lucy who is technically a princess in Russia, but also an Omega. They both dream of each other. The flow of this is just way to slow for me.
I wasn’t impressed and was turned off by this dystopian world. Women are nothing in this world and are treated like sex slaves. I have more pride than reading this, because even the sex scenes have a lot to be desired and this is not a romance but erotica which I detest.
A very satisfying read. The tension between the two main characters pulls you right in.
Short introduction to a new series and I am not exactly sure how I feel about it yet. There’s a new alpha in town and he’s dreaming of his omega…but he trusts NO ONE with good reason. This one is a little darker than I normally read but will sure give it a chance.
I received this as an ARC and I’m under no obligation to leave a review.
Definitely not for the prude!!! Lots of violence in this prequel to a new world. Darius is a strong Alpha seeking revenge on the father that never was. Becoming the General and not really wanting to be. I’m curious about Ethan and what he’s up to though! Very short look in to this new world and story line. Definitely want more. And then there’s Lucy…excited to see how this plays out!
This book is a short introduction to a new series.
It introduced to the characters and gives you a taste
of what to expect in the series.
Definitely an interesting introduction to the series.
I voluntarily reviewed a copy of this book.
This is Omegaverse, if you don’t know what it is, please take the time to look it up before you judge this book. It may not be everyone’s cup of tea but it’s DEFINITELY Mine.

As the prequel, it gives a good accounting how the alpha, Zeus, gains his place. His father was not much of a man. He never took responsibility for his dalliances. He was cruel and selfish. Growing up the way he did left a big chip on Zeus’ shoulder. I don’t have a lot of faith in him taking over. I felt no kindness or caring for the pack he took from his father. I’m hoping now that he’s had his revenge he’ll become a better man and leader than his father was. One thing he’s done that is noteworthy is he’s given the omega pack the option to choose if they wanted an alpha. After being raised by a single omega mother (embarrassed and rejected by Zeus’ father) he treats them like people instead of chattel. Lucinda is an omega that just found out her father is trading her, her younger sister and some omegas from other high ranking families. They are heading to Scotland where they may be able to choose for themselves. I requested an advanced reader copy and am under no obligation to leave this review.
Whooo this Alpha is intense! You don’t get to meet the main omega yet. But you get an introduction to the Alpha. And he is definitely very Alpha! I loved the intro tho, because it gives you a bit of back story before you meet the couple and they come together.
I can’t wait to see what comes next in the story. And I also can’t wait to see what may happen with some of the side characters. This is a fairly quick read. But it has me invested in this story now!
When I started reading I couldn’t put it down. Laxmi Hariharan is magnifysent and amazing writer.I cannot wait to read more of there books.Keep up the great work. You should definitely read this book. Can’t wait for the next book.
A quick read introducing us into this new world coming in an exciting new series. Set in a dystopian world defined only by alphas, betas and omegas. So far it seems rather cruel. We met Zeus a powerful alpha abandoned by his father The General. Never even claimed as his son, he and his mum tossed in the street like garbage. Now is the time for revenge in his heart and mind. He will end the life and reign of The General if it’s the last thing he does. If only be could STOP dreaming of this mysterious woman who calls to him on every level! Is it a mere dream, or could she be his Omega… A nurturer meant to mate and have children with alphas. He’s never felt like this before, and he’s not too sure he likes feeling like this…uncertain. As if that’s not enough he wakes to another alpha …what the heck is going on? Will Zeus complete his goal? Who’s this mysterious alpha , and is this woman real or just a dream? A wonderful start to a new series. I appreciate this mini read to get us used to this upcoming world!
Interesting little story, but it wasn’t enough. This is a new series from this author and I’ve never read any book from her. So I will wait for the next book to get a better sense of this story.
