Scorching hot read that gave me all the feels. Highly recommend! I love all Jane Henry’s books!
Vigilante Justice
Professionally written, fast-paced and gripping, “Wanted” unites two complete strangers from entirely different socioeconomic spheres, binding them together in a fight against corruption and murder.
Jilted by her fiancé on her wedding day and desperate to escape the pain, humiliation, and rejection, Freya impulsively steals a car from the church parking lot. Distraught, Freya drives for hours into the backwoods of Wyoming eventually stopping at a remote roadside bar. Devoid of money or personal belongings, Freya is befriended by a perceptive bartender who conceals the stolen car, demonstrating compassion for Freya’s situation. After too many complimentary drinks and feeling queasy, Freya stumbles out the backdoor seeking fresh air. While outside, she witnesses a murder and attempts to hide from the perpetrators but when discovered, flees for her life. Darting into the woods closely pursued by the culprits, Freya stumbles, hitting her head and losing consciousness. When Freya awakens she finds herself in the care of Jace, a man she recognizes from the bar, who was watching her intently earlier in the evening.
Jace lives alone in the back country, entirely off the grid and motivated by corrupt law enforcement, dispenses his own brand of vigilante justice. Losing his fiancé four years earlier in an apparent car accident he remains suspicious, suspecting she was murdered by a local criminal organization. Jace’s upbringing was filled with abuse perpetrated by his father, a former corrupt sheriff. Rumored to have killed his own father, Jace is driven to protect the innocent and that includes Freya.
“Wanted” reveals the journey of two wounded people from very different backgrounds, reluctantly thrust together, to find commonalities, trust and perhaps love. Freya has been provided everything she could possibly want by her influential but completely aloof parents. She has spent her entire life conforming to her parents excessive demands, insensitive demeanor and preserving the family image at all cost. Jace is a man who is unconcerned with image, is trustworthy, exudes confidence and dominance. He may be the man to give Freya exactly what she needs. Told from dual perspectives “Wanted” is a standalone novel filled with mystery, suspense and intrigue within a burgeoning D/s relationship.

The action never stops in this fabulous modern western!
Freya hits the road after being left at the altar, but that is only the beginning of her troubles. After accidentally witnessing a murder, her only hope is Jace, a man known far and wide as a ruthless vigilante and one who absolutely does not have any time for a spoiled rich princess.
The story’s action starts out hot and sultry but quickly turns to dire and deadly. Along the way both MC are forced to confront their hearts and examine what they truly want out of life. The writing is superb, the characters are vividly developed, and the steam is some of the hottest I’ve read. If you love modern cowboys, you have to read this one. I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book.
Anyone who knows me, knows I’m a HUGE fan of Jane Henry and her writing skills. “Wanted” is no exception to that. We have Freya, the daughter of a powerful politician, who as Jace pointed out, is a spoiled princess who has everything she wanted and nothing she needed. And then Jace who has had to work hard his entire life and because of circumstances and his nature, brings his own brand of justice to keep his town safe from corruption. If you know anything about Jane Henry’s books, you know there’s going to be some BDSM scene involved, and for those of you waiting you won’t be disappointed. This has all the mystery, adventure, drama, angst, and HOT chemistry you were looking for .
When Freya’s fiancee skips out with her bridesmaid and her father still insist the party goes on, she decides to run. I’d run too but her leaving lands her smack dab in the middle of a murder. Jace is called the Vigilante, because he takes care of “problems” the law doesn’t seem to take care of. He just wants to be left alone. When Freya runs right into him after seeing a man killed, the fun begins. Well, it’s not really fun but you know what I mean. Jace doesn’t want her there with him but a snowstorm fixes that and she’s stuck in his cabin. I love Freya because she is feisty, outspoken and questions everything. Jace, a very dominant man, finds her distracting at first but you know they are slowly going to end up together. But someone has told where she is and now Jace must protect her. Can he save the woman who, in a short time, has become to mean everything to him? This was an awesome story and the characters really pull the emotions out of the readers!! Ms. Henry has done it again!!!
Jace is mine! I am not sharing him. But I will share my thoughts. Jace is hot, sexy and so protective. He is a good guy stuck in a bad situation. I loved how he protected Freya. He knew what she needed before she did. I fell just as hard for Jace as Freya did. He can protect me any day. Freya is a sweet, innocent girl who just needed to escape her stifling, rich life.
Wanted is intense. The suspense level is so high that I had to take breaks while reading to remember to breathe. Jane Henry has gone over the top with the suspense and thrill factor in Wanted. This book has it all; drama, suspense, murder, hot steamy scenes and of course a love story.
Kai Kennicott and Wen Ross bring this story to life. Ms. Kennicott is a perfect Freya. With all the sass, attitude, and independence Freya has, Ms. Kennicott narrates her amazingly. I adored her narration of Betty. Ms. Kennicott brought out the best of Betty! Wen Ross narrates a swoon worthy Jace! There is just something about a gruff voice for a rugged vigilante. Jace jumped right out of the book and into my imagination. Mr Ross narrated every emotion, every attitude and every thought of Jace exactly as I pictured him. The narrating team of Kai Kennicott and Wen Ross enhanced the experience of this story.
A Phenomenal testament to the healing power of love! A Cowboy’s-do-it-better MUST BUY!
Oh, how I love the way author Jane Henry writes a story! Her descriptive, compelling prose draws me into the story so completely that real-life fades and my only focus becomes the magnificent characters and the captivating drama in which they find themselves. And oh, how that drama in Henry’s newest release “WANTED” held my attention! Henry has mastered the skill of feeding her readers just enough information to keep them on the edge of their seats, turning pages as quickly as they can to see what happens to people/characters that they have grown to love and taken into their hearts. With action so suspenseful and tension so titillating that the readers’ reality and focus becomes the world that Henry has so lovingly woven for them. A plotline upon which readers become so focused that the speed of reading obliges them to re-read the story just to see what they might have missed. (A focus so complete that the smell of chicken burning doesn’t register until the smoke detector shouts its warning! Tee-hee!) And characters which are so fascinating, they seem real enough to walk right off the pages of “WANTED” and into the place where the reader sits. I fell so in love with Jace and Freya, even Daisy and Betty were “people” I wanted to get to know better. I’ve lived in one of those small western towns depicted in “WANTED,” living far enough out of town, I’ve met a Jace or two. I’ve seen what happens when there is no Freya to blast into their lives or hearts, and I much prefer Jane Henry’s take on it. If you are looking for a GREAT romance, one that will take you away into a place and time where a happy ending reigns supreme, then “WANTED” is your next romance purchase. Their journey to that happy ending will entertain you for hours! I voluntarily read an advance copy of WANTED and this is my honest, voluntary review. I STRONGLY recommend you purchase your copy of this 5+STAR STEAMY romance today! Happy pages!
A new standalone book by Jane Henry.
I read this book in one sitting, It held my attention from the first to the last page. The characters and the beautiful background just jump of the page. It was a very character driven book and what I loved most was that Freya got to be herself and be loved. She herself is enough. And that is an important message.
Jace was a silent, strong, but also vulnerable character and having freya in his life brings him back alive.
It is a wonderful, sweet, romantic and very steamy story to enjoy.
This as a great read that was filled with excitement, danger, emotional tension and sizzling heat. I loved Freya and Jace. These opposites weren’t looking but found just what they needed anyway. Both these characters had their own baggage. These characters are complex and I really enjoyed learning about them as they in turn learned things about each other and yes, themselves. I highly recommend this wonderful romance that is filled with plenty of spice and intensity. All thoughts and opinions in this review are completely my own.
A fabulous read! Freya is having a bad day that is going downhill rapidly. This book gives meaning to being in the wrong place at the wrong time. But overarching a great storyline is a romance between two people who aren’t expecting what is about to hit them and some in a literal sizzling, spanking way. The author brings her trademark character-driven storyline to tantalize and captivate the reader from the first page to the last. As always, I fell in love with these characters and felt invested in their relationship. Five you-don’t- want-to miss-this-one stars!
OMG !! I loved Freya and Jace’s story. Twist and turns with danger, death, secrets that captivated me from the beginning. Chemistry off the charts with its dark steamy moments. A storyline so intriguing that I couldn’t stop reading it. I definitely recommend this book to anyone looking for an amazing read.
Jane Henry had created another sinfully delicious love story that follows a jilted runway bride, who witnesses more than she bargained for outside a bar, who than finds herself running for her life. Right into the arms of the arms of the man who will forever change her life. The Vigilante she was told about is non other than her new protector, and bosier than anyone she had ever met. But the sting of his hand on her backside is more delicious than she could ever have imagined and she finds herself pushing his boundaries to see what else she can feel. Hunted and snowed in, they have more than enough time to spend figuring it out. Until the real world comes knocking and their time is abruptly at an end. But love does not grow on a timetable and their bond flourishes to the point where separation might not be an option! A must read if you love Jane Henry and her steamy reads
Brooding, dominate, vigilante, hot cowboy…YES PLEASE and his name is Jace!!
Freya’s a city girl and complete opposite of Jace. But he rescues Freya from the same murderous men that caused him to become what he is today. While being hidden away in Jaces’ cabin, Freya learns more than just how to cook oatmeal. She’s finally figuring out what she wants in a man and it definitely wasn’t her spineless runaway groom! Jace is everything she never knew she wanted and Freya just might be Jace’s second chance at love. If only Jace can get the final justice against the men who took away his past and are now threatening his future.
Holy Smokes this was good, Freya a runaway bride ends up in the middle of no where and finds herself in a whole heap of trouble and ends up crossing paths with the most feared Vigilante known Jace and he is super bossy and commanding but oh so delicious.
They couldn’t be any different both from different worlds and I loved how Freya dissected her life and really thought about things and her sassy mouth got her something that she actually craved, it was a second chance for both and filled with so much passion and feeling and I loved it.
I’ll take my very own hot Jace Mercy now please!!!!!
Freya finds her life I utter shambles and runs away as fast as she can. Of course the universe decides to kick her a little harder and she witnesses a murder. Well in comes Jace to the rescue. Except it doesn’t seem like much of a rescue cause he’s a vigilante with hardcore exterior.
Jace is the yummiest, growling, Dominant, protective man to date of Jane’s! Just reading about him made me want to say, ‘Yes, Sir’. I love how Freya came into her own with her. She was stronger than she knew she could be. These two are perfection!!!
Oh and there is some seriously hot sex!!!! And lots of bad guys too! You’d be crazy not to read this book!!!
If ever I’m in trouble I want Jace on my side actually I want Jace anyway lol
I very yummy story with a hunky alpha Jace a great storyline with steamy moments too …
