Welcome to Hollywood, where wet dreams come true. I fell for Marlee the second I met her- gorgeous smile, unimpressed by my stardom… bendy. Not even remotely interested in me. Of course the girl of my dreams has to be engaged to her hometown high-school sweetheart. Nothing’s ever easy, right?Until they break up.And she moves in with me. The only person who can help her practice for her next role … in with me.
The only person who can help her practice for her next role is me.
Because Marlee isn’t just new to Hollywood.
She’s a virgin.

Such a delightful fun read that had me laughing out loud nd th eperfedt alow burn for the friend to lovers that left my heart/full
After reading this, I realized it was only 177 pages but it felt like a much longer novel! Very good read! Marlee is living with her friend and former boy band heartthrob Jake Ryder when she gets a job offer she needs his help with. Friends to lovers, this 2nd book in the series is a fun spicy read!
Kayti McGee is a new author to me but as soon as I saw she was writing the second book in the Ryder Brothers Series I couldn’t wait to get my hands on it and I loved it so I certainly need to look at other books by this talented author.
Jake is the oldest Ryder brother and he meets Marlee while shooting a music video she is a beautiful talented dancer and the perfect mate for a musician problem is Jake wants more than friendship but it’s only when Marlee breaks up with her fiancé is the timing right for Jake to step in and do what all besties do help her pick up the pieces. Marlee’s self esteem hits an all time low and when she is offered a part in exchange for dating the producer she reaches out for Jake to help with one tiny problem she needs to lose her virginity and she needs to learn how to touch a man to ensure she keeps the part…….
Jake is the perfect teacher and his lessons show Marlee how to be oh so naughty but for who’s benefit are the lessons really for……….
A quick funny read with plenty of witty banter, characters with an instant attraction and sizzling chemistry make this the perfect read. Let’s be honest we have all fallen at some point or another for a member of a hot boy band we have all at some point had our bedroom walls covered in posters so it’s exciting to see where the third book about these brothers will take us. It’s great to see these authors doing something different not writing a book together but each writing their own story about one of the brothers and for me it’s working the stories flow and the continuity is there so all I’m going to say is if you love Rock Stars this is a series you will want to read.
This was a great friends to lovers story. Loved the chemistry between Jake and Marlee as friends and and as lover. Super cute and fun and highly enjoyable read.
*4.5-5 Stars*
ARC kindly received in exchange for an honest review.
Want, is definitely the correct title for this book. I mean, holy moly, the intense lust between these two main characters, is off the charts. Actually, this whole book is mostly just a huge sex fest. But, with saying that, it didn’t feel like a horrible smutty, sex for the sake of sex, book. This was well written and I adored Jake as our male hero.
I was smitten with him from the start, he’s such a sweetheart. I appreciated the connection between he and Marlee, and whilst I didn’t agree with her reasons for what she was doing, being set in Hollywood and LA, I could definitely understand why she felt the need for it.
Ladies, you’re going to want to hold onto your panties for this one, because Jake Ryder is one hell of a sexy man, and this book is just H.O.T.
I definitely enjoyed this one, the only thing was that it seemed to culminate in its ending a little too fast and is why I’m rating it 4.5-5 Stars, rather than a straight out 5.
I’m really intrigued to see where the series goes, with the next book being about Jonas, based on a couple of things he said in this one.
Overall, I sped through this one, its sexy as all get out, and I definitely recommend. Can stand alone.
Loved Wanted! Light hearted, super steamy times, laugh out loud moments…I loved the sexy back and forth between Marlee & Jake! This isn’t my first and won’t be my last book by this author!
I enjoyed Want very much!!! The relationship between Marlee & Jake was fun and sexy. Not just jump into the fire, it built up!!! They had great chemistry as friends and as lovers. The story kept me interested and entertained the entire time!!! Another great book in the series!!!!
These Ryder Brothers are so completely sweet and sexy and vulnerable. Jake has been pining over Marlee for a long time; however, she was engaged and off limits, until she wasn’t. Marlee moved from Missouri to California and Jake offered her a place to stay until she got on her feet. She nails a big part on an upcoming TV show. But the producer throws a curve ball at her and she knows this will help her career. Except that she is in way over her head and needs Jake’s help. He is reluctant at first but can’t let Marlee down. Jake hopes through their lessons that she will fall in love with him. These two are so smokin hot together I can’t stand it. And they are also cute and sweet which makes them the total package. I love this series. These brothers are great. And I love watching everyone’s HEA. On to Jonas’ next!
This series is so good and will pull you in from the first page. I loved Jake and Marlee’s characters. Jake loves music and writing it. Marlee loves to dance. They became fast friends after meeting in a video set and love together. They have crazy chemistry and try hard to fight their feelings.
This was a fast paced book I read in one sitting. I can’t wait for more in this series.
I read “Close” and immediately wanted to jump into “Want”. I’m so glad that I did!! Jake and Marlee are amazing together!
I’ll admit this is my first Kaytie McGee book but it certainly won’t be my last!! I think I’ve found another favorite author.
Sweet little Jake couldn’t believe his ears! His dreams coming true… but not really… What fantastic little ride of cute tension and sexiness. These brothers are stealing my heart!
I haven’t read the previous books but don’t feel that it negatively impacted on understanding this story.
The premise of the story intrigued me I liked the fact that it was the guy Jake who had feelings for the girl Marlee who is completely clueless about how he feels. I loved Jake he was such a sweetheart do tender and caring. I really really tried to like Marlee and there were moments I did but they were fleeting moments I just couldn’t get over what she was prepared to do.
The story is well written unfortunately I couldn’t connect with one of the main characters it happens sometimes.
Marlee is a dancer from the Midwest. She has been trying to make it in LA. She has the contract of a lifetime but has a small problem. She enlists her roommate Jake, a member of the famous boy band the Ryder brothers to help her out.
Hot and sweet romance. This is a great friends to lovers romance. Jake is an excellent teacher and Marlee is a perfect student. Jake is super hot and swoony. Marlee is a believable small town girl. Really fun, terrific read.
Marlee and Jake are the very best of friends. It’s a shame that Marlee doesn’t know Jake wants a WHOLE lot more. Enter a contract & a need for some lessons – the fun kind – and you’ve got a fantastic ROM COM with just the right dash of heat. Great easy rock star story.
I received an arc of this book
An amazing story written by Kayti. A friends to lovers in Marlee who is a dancer that is from the Midwest. She moves to L. A. and once she gets a contract and ask Jake for help. A steamy romance that is a must read.
Jake Ryder is one HOT Rockstar!! “WANT” is the second book in the Ryder Brothers Trilogy. Jake, ex-boy band member now solo performer is sexy as hell and such a fun character. Jake meets Marlee, his new “best friend” on his set where she is dancing with her bendy moves!! She catches his eye and needs a place to stay and he wants to get to know her better. When Marlee tries out for a big part with a sleazy producer and agrees to become his “girl friend” in trade for the job, she comes to Jake for some advice. She asks him to teach her what she’ll need to know since she’s still a virgin. Can Jake stay best friends with Marlee and still teach her all his sexy moves without falling for her? How long can they hide their feelings from each other? I loved them and their chemistry. All the characters were fun and kept me turning the pages!! Can’t wait for MORE book #3 !!!
This second book about The Ryder Brothers is Jake and Marlee’s story.
After meeting on the set of his music video Jake falls hard for Marlee but she has a Fiancé. Fast forward a few months and Marlee is in LA living with Jake. They’re the best of friends but Jake is secretly in love with Marley. When Marlee comes to Jake for help.all lines are crossed.
This was a good read,I loved Jake’s character,he was sweet and protective, not to mention hot. Their chemistry was off the charts and the scenes sexy. The storyline was unique to me,the characters sassy, sexy and had plenty of heart exactly what I look for in a book.
This story was a very quick read for me so I would have liked a little more of Jake and Marlee’s story at the end however I still loved the sweet romance they had! In true rock band fashion, there’s definitely some very hot moments in the book as well!! Jake n Marlee cross the friendship line in a unique fashion and it’s fun to watch their relationship change throughout the whole story. Hopefully we’ll get more of them in the future!
First time ever reading anything by Kayti and I was very interested in the storyline. Loved the banter and buildup of the relationship between the characters. It was a good concept behind their romance. The details were good, sexy scenes were just that, but I felt the ending was sort of rushed. Overall, I enjoyed the story and I’m looking forward to book three by JD.
Wanted is a fun, hot, steamy read with a great storyline and characters. I loved Jake and Marlee’s chemistry and banter, it was light and refreshing! While I loved the storyline I felt the writting was a little choppy and scenes ended too quickly or were rushed. I also felt there were choppy transitions from one scene to the next. I loved the ending, but wanted more, it felt cut short.
