I absolutely loved The Black Witch… Maximum suspense, unusual magic — a whole new, thrilling approach to fantasy!
I’m having a seriously bad fangirling case. Wandfasted is amazing! I enjoyed it as much as The Black Witch.
Wandfasted tells the story of how Tessla and Vale (Elloren’s parents) knew each other. It also shows why Carnissa Gardner became a legend, and believe me you don’t want to miss that. With a fast pace and a beautiful worldbuilding, this book is simply impossible to put down once you start.
I absolutely loved getting to know Tessla, she’s a badass, the kind of MC that I can’t get enough of: intelligent, brave, selfless, strong and mature. Vale I had to warm up to, but once you get to know him better he’s easy to love.
Is also quite the experience getting to know the parents of other characters from the The Black Witch. You get a lot of: “now I get it”.
Overall, AMAZING
This book really focuses on romance, and it really works! The two main characters have good chemistry and a sweet progression. I really enjoyed reading it.
Unfortunately, this is a prologue to the series. I wish I had read the series first. The series is all right, while this book was amazing! It left me wanting more, but I finished it and started the series and felt let down. I highly recommend it, but don’t read it first.
Interesting read
I love all books from these series, can’t stop thinking about them, sadly couldn’t find any more, and hope that at least one more is comming. I was not that impressed by the book since Harry Potter. If you are fan of HP you will enjoy these books, and each one of them can be a great movie.
This series is a great dark fairy tale of good and bad. It will grab you and keep you invested for the duration.
Read so long ago for go review. Some of books don’t down load well.
A bit too much romance for me, but I think this was meant to be a YA. The rest was good though. A girl’s heroine tale.
Wandfasted is like the gateway book to romance novels. I LOVE THIS BOOK! I still have chills thinking about it. The chemistry between Elloren’s parents is off the charts. There are no sex scenes in detail, but if you are a reader with a creative imagination, it can easily turn into an adult movie.
My favorite part of this book is all the magic involved. There are a lot of spells casted and many skills are explained. We also see some other characters from the series and discover what kind of lives they had in the past.
I recommend reading this after The Black Witch because book #1 sets the scene better and the reader understands what rolls certain characters played. As this book leans heavily on the romance side, reading the other books first will create a stronger attachment to the characters involved.
All in all, THIS IS AN AMAZING READ! I wish the other books were out!
Fun to read with lots of twists and turns
Romance with magic and all the modern Fae, witches, shapeshifters, fairies, and demons.
Entertaining children’s book for the fall and Halloween. Love Gerald Hawksley books.
