A charming British hero, the woman who tempts him, and a hands-off arrangement that’s oh-so-hard to maintain. My bags are packed and I’m ready to go. All I have to do is board a plane, and I’ll be on my way to fulfilling a promise I made long ago. Bonus points — my last week in Paris looks to be even better when I meet a gorgeous, clever American woman and make plans to take her back to my flat … back to my flat that night.
But before we can get together for what would surely be a fantastic final fling, my boss hits me with a double whammy. My previous client didn’t pay, so the trip’s postponed, and the new client I now desperately need is none other than the tempting American I’m about to take home. Time to keep my hands to myself. And as I do, we get to know each other while we wander the streets of Paris together, where I discover she’s witty, kind and has a delicious zest for life. Trouble is, I’m taking off for the other side of the world any day now.
What could go wrong with falling in love in Paris? Everything, if one of you is leaving…

This was my first read by Lauren Blakely, and oh man–I have already bought several more. Her characters drew me in from page one. I was laughing so loud my family thought I was crazy. Then I would get upset and they thought I was crazier. This book took me on the perfect emotional journey. And the side characters added the most amazing blend to the story. I now want to visit Paris and see if all the little hidden gems mentioned are really there. Every moment I was reading it felt like I was there, living each moment with Griffin and Joy. Five stars is not enough for this book. Well written, great characters, wonderful back and forth. Just loved it.
I LOVED this book! One of Lauren’s best! Such a beautiful, heartfelt story! Having just gotten back from Paris, I’m going to re-read it. If you haven’t yet read it, it’s FREE for the first time in KU! Highly recommend!
Proof that rom com can have both hilarity and depth. My first Lauren Blakely and it certainly won’t be my last! And omg having Richard Armitage voice Griffin in the audio version… :fans self: Two thumbs up! And as someone who once lived in Paris, I can say that Blakely delivers the city to readers perfectly wrapped up in a delightful bow. C’est magnifique!
It’s a pretty good bet that you’ll get an entertaining read from Lauren Blakely. But with Wanderlust you get so much more. I truly think this is my favorite Blakely book yet. It’s pure fun with a side of family ties and fulfilling wishes. Wishes promised on a deathbed and wishes that are purely your own. Joy and Griffin are too cute together and I don’t think you’ll find a better couple to tour Paris with. This one makes me want to go back to Paris to find the elephant and all the angels. This book is too much fun!
Joy just came to Paris for a job, but even before starting, she met the man of her dreams, a hot specimen with a British accent. Unfortunately it turns out, he is her interpreter and it would be inappropriate to have an affair with him, or wouldn’t it?
When Griffin runs into an American woman at a baker’s shop, he can’t help himself to correct her barely there French. He’s also intrigued by her loud and cheerful persona. Their conversation is interrupted by a phone call from his boss and he regrets never learning her name.
Much to his surprise he meets her again and finds out, she is his new assignment.
They try to keep it at a friendly manner, but soon they can’t deny their strong feelings any longer. But this is his last assignment in Paris before he’ll travel to Indonesia.
Will they find a way back together or were those few weeks all they’ll get? Find out for yourself in this wonderful novel.
Easy fun entertaining read!
Great relationship building between characters, and I loved how they wrestled with taking their budding feelings to a different level. So relatable and true.
This is one of the best written Contemporary Romances I’ve read. Made me feel I was in Paris! Could smell the flowers and chocolate!!
Wonderful contemporary romance about an American woman who is looking to find herself while working in Paris. She falls in love with a British language interpreter who is waiting to explore his wanderlust. Neither wants to hold the other back from their dreams. Can they have it all?
I really enjoyed this story. I listened to the audiobook and it was amazing. There is some angst in this one, but in the end, there is a happily ever after, so I forgave the author. 😉
Story was ok, sexy.
i loved this story. i also loved that the main character was learning Portuguese since i also know it. keep writing them
Loved this story! Felt like I was walking the streets of Paris enjoying everything that was happening with Griffin and Joy!
Paris – what’s not to like. Great food and wonderful places to explore. Griffin and Joy accidentally meet before they realize they are going to be working together. If you love someone you make decisions about what you think is best for them. Time does make everything better.
Loved this book, great characters falling in love in Paris.
Quick read. Funny and lovable characters. It was great to spend a few hours with them, and I miss them, already, Looking forward to reading more from this author.
Fantastic! Never disappoints.
So good I had to stop at times to savor. The sex is world class. The characters are tres manufique. Paris has never sounded so lovely. And the plot was simple enough to be realistic and poignant enough to bring a tear to your eye. Bon bon bon read this book.
Great easy read.
Wanderlust is my favorite in this series. Lauren Blakely paints masterpieces with her words and makes the streets and gardens of Paris come alive like few authors can. You can almost smell the flowers and hear the street noises. Her characters come alive with kindness, compassion and human frailties. That being said, she can still create steamy love scenes that leave you breathless and wanting more. Joy and Griffin are immediately drawn to each other and meant to be together but working relationships and family promises are the magnet that keep pulling them apart. I highly recommend this book. You will not be disappointed.
