I didn’t expect this story to get as emotional as it did, but there were a few pages that were hard to read through…teary eyes and all.
Emerson and Price’s story was a beautifully sweet coming-of-age romance. Both characters out looking to find their place in life. Emerson off in search of the mother she never and trying to get out from under her father’s over protective watch. Price’s life has also recently changed and in a big way. Now he’s openly rebelling against expectations of a father he just met.
Together they help fill their missing puzzle pieces that the other so craftedly fit into. They become their own support system and find a love truer than they could have dreamed of.
I had heard good things about this book and couldn’t wait any longer to dive in. All the high praise for this book were spot on. Wanderlove is my first book by author Rachel Blaufeld. The characters are well developed and easy to connect with (regardless of the age gap between myself and them.) The story development was well thoughout. I really enjoyed the story and couldn’t wait to finish it. The relationship between Emerson and Price is strong and just adorable. I found that as I was reading, I was holding a breathe that I didn’t know I was.
Call it kismet, fate or coincidence, this book, to me at that is, all of them rolled into one amazing story about growing up and becoming who you were meant to be and to be with. When everything is placed in your path to the one thing you wanted above all else but is still out of reach. Emerson learns this the hard way. But don;t despair fate isn’t to cruel, she put Price in her path and for the first time in her life she found someone that loves her for simply being her. Well aside from her father.
Price wasn’t looking he was hating his new life in the city but found that there is more than concrete in his new home. He found beauty in a girl that shone from the inside and gave more than she got.
This story has some twists and some unexpected turns but it is a beautiful read, that was profoundly endearing to me. I love them. I love their heart I love their soul. Two people
that were truly meant to meet and be the other’s half. Perfect!
Get ready to fall in love with Price and Emerson.
Prepare yourself for a whole bunch of feels. We go thru a couple of emotions with this book. We have Emerson who runs away and is trying to find the mother that gave her away. She is determined to find her and she ends up meeting this country boy who is also trying to find a difference in what he knows. It was like fate brought these two wounded souls together..And just when they needed it.. Enjoy!
Rcvd and ARC at no cost to author..Voluntarily reviewed with my own thoughts and opinions.
This was a beautiful, angsty read! I always love finding new authors to read!
Rachel Blaufeld takes two lost souls and joins them for completion in Wanderlove.
This author brings genuine and likeable characters to the pages of her work Wonderlove. Both her hero and heroine were thoughtful and reader approachable with an equal measure of strengths to balance out their flaws. Introducing Emerson and Price at crossroads in their lives Ms. Blaufeld showed them dealing with pasts that had strong holds on them, clouding their futures. Their fated meeting was a catalyst for these characters to really start examining their lives and gave them each what they needed to move forward. This couple’s connection was an interesting mix of friendship and romance and for this pair those aspects took a comparable hold in the author’s development of their relationship. The interactions between Emerson and Price were meaningful and created a believable bond between them. Ms. Blaufeld did a good job of bridging the age gap between her portrayals without compromising the significance of it.
At times the abundance of coincidences in this book pulled the story off track verging on overwhelming the plot, yet this author was always able to bring her work back around with her interesting and well devised portrayals of Emerson and Price. Ms. Blaufled excels in expressing the depth of her characters emotions. This author’s writing shows strong insight into her characters. A story filled with secrets, denial and soul searching Wanderlove was an emotional read with lots of meaningful moments.

Boy I wasn’t expecting that twist towards the end of the book! this book had me on the edge of my seat the entire time! wow just wow!
In true Rachel Blaufeld fashion, Wanderlove is a story full of high emotions, twisty angst, and the perfect balance of family, friendships, and romance. I was pulled in from the very first page and swept to The Big Apple (or Rotten Apple, in the words of Price) as if I were walking the busy streets and witnessing this story unfold firsthand.
Price and Emerson are tender and honest, the perfect example of strong, young love. Wanderlove is one of those stories that will pull at your heartstrings and hold on tight. A new favorite from Blaufeld. She continues to prove her talent book after book, and this is no different.
Have you ever read a book and wished you could read it all over again for the first time? That is how I feel about Wander Love. It had everything I could want in a book. A beautiful romance that will make you swoon, a deep storyline that takes the main characters on an emotional journey and characters that will stay with you for years to come.
Emerson and Price are both young and are on two separate journeys in life that have lead them to each other. Price is a small town boy, content working on his family farm and resents being sent away to a fancy school, paid for by his father that never paid attention to him while he was growing up.
Emerson had a good life, raised by a single dad but longing for a mother who left her when she was a baby. Determined to get answers and find her mom, Emerson sets out on a journey that will change the course of her life forever.
Neither Emerson or Price were searching for love, but sometimes the things we are not searching for, turn out to be the best things in life for us. I truly believe it was fate the way Emerson and Price met and I loved watching them fall in love.
I cannot recommend this book enough! Don’t miss out on this heartfelt and emotional read!
This is my first ever book by this author and I’m a bit sad that I’ve just now discovered her. Honestly I decided to read this book because of the gorgeous cover, but the story definitely made me stay. It’s one of those stories that can really speak to every reader and I enjoyed it so so much.
I’m really a reader who prefers character driven stories, which probably explains my love of romance books. And this is just that kind of book. You’re really on such an emotional journey with these two and it really draws you in. This was such a sweet read and I think it would be the perfect kind of book to pull you out of a slump or act as a good introduction to romance books. It has a really great twist that I truly did not see coming and I thought the ending was pretty perfect. I’m so excited to dive into the rest of this author’s books.
Wonderful!
This young adult romance is unlike any I have read before. Smart, clever, brimming with passion and humor.
Emerson and Price find themselves in NYC for different reasons and meet unexpectedly. Is it a coincidence or fate?
Theirs is a gut wrenching coming of age story, that turns into something far deeper. It wasn’t just about their insta attraction and undeniable chemistry. It was about a deeply moving friendship and connection that helped both of them individually finding answers.
What they discover was jaw dropping!
A certain twist in the story gave their story additional edge which gave their story more depth.
As their story unfolded I enjoyed their vulnerability and how realistic they were portrayed.
It’s a story of love, friendship and family.
Of acceptance and forgiveness!
4.5 stars!
Overall Grade:
Fated love. It’s the thing of many romance stories. Finding your soulmate when the odds are stacked against you is the miracle of many a romance story. It’s also why romance readers flock to read them. There is something encouraging about the truth of a fated story about soulmates.
Rachel Blaufeld’s Wanderlove is that type of romance. Emerson is off to New York City to find her long-lost mother. Having abandoned her with father as a newborn, Emerson has lived her life, wondering about her mother. After high school graduation and a fight with her father, Emerson takes off to solve the mystery of her mother.
Price is a good ole farm boy. Growing up on a farm in Pennsylvania has been the foundation for his future: remaining on the farm and marrying his high school sweetheart. Unfortunately, his biological father re-enters his life and negotiates a new life for Price, one that entails a college education in the city. Price accepts it to make his mother happy, but he hates his father and the city.
Until he meets Emerson. From the moment they meet, Price and Emerson are drawn to each other. While both of them begin as friends, their interest in each other evolves into stronger feelings. As Emerson searches for her mother, Price tries to live and accept this new life. With each other, everything seems right until the moment it isn’t. When fate steps in, all might be lost for these two.
At its core, Blaufeld’s romance is an angsty contemporary romance. Price and Emerson are drawn together, and their chemistry drives the book forward, probably more than the story. In reading the blurb for the book, I was drawn to it for the story of Emerson searching for her absentee mother and Price’s anger over his father’s insertion into his life. Yet, it was Price and Emerson’s relationship that kept me reading it. I have to be honest. I struggled with various aspects of the story. The timeline of the story is uneven at times, and the surprise of this story felt thrown in. I struggle with stories where a twist seems manufactured in that it doesn’t seem to fit the rest of the story. It reads as manipulative. Thankfully, Price and Emerson’s relationship is such that I looked beyond that issue.
In terms of their characterizations, Price and Emerson are likable. I was a bigger fan of Price’s character after the first part of his story. Yes, he is older than Emerson making him more emotionally mature. But it’s his honor that endears you to him. He has a level of integrity that is $exy. This makes his pursuit and care of Emerson noble, elevating their coupledom. As a heroine, Emerson has moments of depth in her love for Price. She can love him in the ways that build him up. However, her character can also be quite immature. This is notable at the beginning of the story with her fight with her father, in her friendship with her friend, Bev, and during the plot twist when her response seems untenable. I struggled with Emerson. I wanted to adore her, given her backstory, but there is something uneven in her characterization, just like the story progression.
I think this is really the issue I had with Blaufeld’s Wanderlove: its unevenness. We often read lines by romance characters about having “whiplash” — when one character changes pace from one minute to the next. That phrase best describes my thoughts about Wanderlove. There is an unsteadiness about it. It has so much incredible potential in the type of story it is telling. It has a hero that you cannot help but adore. But I struggled with its pacing because it simply read as off-balanced to me. Do I recommend this book? Sure. Just read the other reviews about it to see that others enjoyed it. I don’t know that I would run out and read it right away, however. I generally hate to offer this type of review because I know that writers live their books. And Blaufeld’s Wanderlove has the elements many readers will love: a hunky hero, a happy ending, and some moments of fierce emotion. Yet, this reader struggled to feel the depth of the story, and it was a little disheartening. Rachel Blaufeld is new to me, and, even though I struggled with this book, there is enough here to tell me that she is an author to try again.
Fate steps in and two broken souls, Emerson and Price are drawn together, and they complete each other. This is a beautifully written story which is an emotional roller coaster, as well as having angst, love, and is a heart-warming read, which had me totally captivated throughout this addictive page turner. I highly recommend this talented authors’ work for all readers.
This is the first book I’ve read from this author and I have to say, it was beautifully written. This is a story about 2 individuals seeking answers, looking for closure and along the way run into each other and it becomes something more. This was a sweet, kind of emotional read and I really enjoyed it despite a few a little things I didn’t like from each character. However, their growth captures your heart and then suddenly, a twist I didn’t see coming.
Emerson, 18, decides to move to New York to find her mother, who abandoned her as a baby and left her with her father. Once she is there, she runs into Price, a man who was content living at his family farm but takes the chance to go attend a prestigious school in New York, all taken care of by his biological father, a man he has never known.
After a couple of bumpy run-ins, a relationship soon develops. Together, they go on their way to find answers. Emerson wants a relationship with her mom while Price wants nothing to do with his.
This was a great story and I recommend it if you’re looking for a light, adult read.

“When your heart is wandering and looking for love and you find it, you grab it and hold on to it”
This is an emotional, romantic, witty, and uplifting tale of two wandering souls who find love and happiness with a big boost from fate in the Big Apple. They never should have met … yet have so much in common … and so much yet to learn. The spirited girl in search of the mother she’s never known and the newly rich boy plucked from his life of simple dreams by an estranged father he can’t forgive. What could go wrong with this scenario? Everything. Follow the resilience of Emerson and Price as they stumble and rise in an angst-ridden, but heartwarming, path to love, closure of the past, and a new beginning all their own. The added boost of happy coincidence, fate, and the enduring love that bonds the MCs as they discover the importance of home, family, friends, and soul mate love warmed my heart.
Emerson goes on a quest to fill the whole in her life, her missing mother. As she searches for this lost love, she never expects to find a new “family” that gives her more love than she could ever dream of. Frustrated with her father’s overbearing ways, she leaves home for NYC to seek out the mother that left her on her dad’s doorstep. As she works to build a life in New York, working 2 jobs to pay the bills, she looks for any lead to her mother which starts in a bakery where she meets Bev. This leads her to a college where she runs into Price. Price has been dropped into NYC by his wealthy father when all he wants is to be back on the farm with his mom and step-dad. He attends his college classes but without any real enthusiasm and then he runs into this amazing girl. But as fast as he sees her, she is gone. Fate and destiny seem to be at play as these two cross paths again. Each one dealing with issues from decisions their parents made and struggling to know their true place. I loved how this relationship evolved as they dealt with all the ups and downs that life’s emotional roller coaster put them on. There are so many amazing moments and unexpected connections that showed me how much fate and destiny can truly guide your life. I voluntarily read an ARC of this book and this is my honest review.
If you’d asked me when I started reading this book, I would’ve said that there was no way I’d be able to tolerate our heroine for long. But as the story progresses, Emerson grows and matures. She also finds her perfect match in Price; he is what makes this book what it is. Price is absolutely a great guy, and I liked him more and more as we got to know him better.
The story follows Emerson, an 18-year-old in her summer between high school and college. Raised by a single father, she’s never known her mother. When they get into an argument over a guy, she decides to set out on her own on a journey to find her mother. The search leads her to New York City, where she meets Price. A 23-year-old, Price was raised in the country and now finds himself in the city because his wealthy father came into his life after being absent for as long as he can remember. They’re both at a turning point in their lives, and they find comfort in each other. When everything else seems up in the air, the only constant they have is the connection they feel for each other.
I really enjoyed the author’s writing style, and that’s probably what got me to stay past the first part of the book. Emerson is a little bratty, a lot selfish and I didn’t love that she started things up with Price before her ex was entirely out of the picture. The combination left a bad taste in my mouth for sure. That being said, Price is great. He has a few years on Emerson and that experience shows. It’s a mostly light book with some angst, plenty of character development and a touch of heat. If I had liked Emerson more as a person, my enjoyment of the book would’ve vastly increased but the story is solid and the writing itself is great. I received an ARC via NetGalley and am voluntarily leaving a review of this New Adult romance.
I really enjoyed this one. I started it in the late afternoon and finished it in a couple of hours. The story really moved so it was nice to read it all at once. My favorite character was Price, he’s such a sweetheart and he was amazing with Emerson. We stan a supportive and loving man.
I absolutely loved this book. Emerson and Price are two broken souls looking to fill the gaps in their lives, thrown together and picking up each other’s pieces. Emerson is looking for the love of a mother that gave her up at birth. Price’s absentee father throws money at him and the promise of an education but never connecting with him. When a simple interaction throws these two together the reader is taken on an emotional roller coaster with so many twists and turns they cannot put the book down. Be prepared for a storyline filled with angst, hatred, lies and deceptions while at the same time characters that you cannot help but fall in love with. A must read!!
I loved Wanderlove so much. This book gives you feels that you didn’t know where missing. Shows you how fate can work. I love how two souls come together and just click like Price and Emerson. Both have so much in common when it comes to parents. You are going to love watching the relationship between Emerson and Price grow so much. Emerson is searching for her mom and along the way you watch her grow so much and develop these fated relationships. I love how strong Emerson becomes along the way. Then there is Price, he is swoon-worthy for sure. I love how he stands up for himself when the needed. I love how loving and caring he is of Emerson through everything. He is a steadfast amazing guy that you can’t help but to love. Emerson and Price have this beautiful journey that you need to experience.
