The Empire will kill him for stealing this ship… but they have to catch it first!
To the Empire the Wanderer was just another booby-trapped ship to claim, and Jess was just another worthless slave who could be sacrificed in the process.
Things didn’t go to plan. Jess survived the dangers, and when he sat in the pilot’s chair the ancient ship came to life for the first time in centuries.
… for the first time in centuries.
Acting on instinct Jess seized the chance, firing up the engines and fleeing the Imperial forces.
Now Jess and the ancient self-aware ship are on the run, their freedom and their very existence on the line.
The smart thing to do would be to run like hell and never stop, but Jess finds he can’t ignore pleas for help from those in danger. With the powerful Wanderer at his command he can truly make a difference… but at what cost?
Buy this collection of the first three books and see why tens of thousands of people have loved following the Wanderer’s journey, leaving comments including “In the end, I was gripping the arms of my chair as I rooted for the heroes.”, “A fast paced, can’t-put-it-down Sci-fi.” and “One of the best books I’ve read this year.”

One of the best Si Fi books I’ve read recently. I !iked it so much I bought the rest of the series. Good characters–both good and bad. It has some very tense moments and some happy times. Good series, I’m on the 6th and last one now and hope it ends well.
Enjoyed All 3 books of this sci fi adventure . A starship as a thinking & creative being is thought provoking. I couldn’t stop reading these stories.
Easy read, simple plot lines, great book for young readers
Really good read
The Wanderer’s Odyssey books 1-3 is in a word fantastic. A lot of sci fi books have an AI that is a character, but in this book a whole ship becomes one of the main characters. The characters are simply great and you get to know each one very well and how they fit together. The writing is not flowery and yet is so good that you get a picture in your mind of what is happening. There are a lot of twist that keep you guessing all through the 3 books.
This trilogy has mystery, romance, sci fi battles in space and much much more that holds your interest throughout all 3 books.
The plot is all about a ship that has been awakened after 10’s of thousands of years old by a 16 yr. old slave, and he is the only one that can control the Wanderer. This ex slave has to learn to live connected with the Wanderer and discover how to open up the ships many secrets without letting everyone know what the ship can do. This trilogy will keep you binge reading and hating to stop even to go to bed. I am already being pulled like a magnet to get book 4. The snippet at the end of the trilogy makes reading book 4 a must read.
This could have been a really great series. Unfortunately, the plotting let the whole galaxy collapse. The author seems determined to leap from one nail-biting adventure to the next, but each new chalange seems to come from far left field, and the save is even more improbable than the last.
It’s really too bad, because the universe building is supurb. The evil empire is well portrayed. The band of heroes is actually well put together, and their internal conflicts are reasonable, and well put together, if somewhat foreshadowed.
The trilogy clearly represents only a small part of the entire odyssey, but much of the next steps (though not the cliff-hangers required to get there) are already obvious. I don’t think I have enough patience for another 1000 pages of this roller-coaster ride.
excellent easy to follow very interesting story
I was quite impressed and stayed up nights to read, just one more chapter….
Great series with heaps of sci-fi and future military action, good character relationships without resorting to pornography. Wish the follow ups are pricey.
