A fearless young Swede whose efforts saved countless Hungarian Jews from certain death at the hands of Adolf Eichmann, Raoul Wallenberg was one of the true heroes to emerge during the Nazi occupation of Eu-rope. He left a life of privilege and, against staggering odds, brought hope to those who had been abandoned by the rest of the world. This is an excellent account of Wallenburg. It was recommended to me by my brother & I read it with great interest. The Wallenberg story should be read as a must read in Holocaust Studies classes.
This is a book about one of the most inspirational people I have ever read about! A man who chose to take action against the Nazis and saved hundreds of children while condemning a bright future for himself. This book is a page turned even though I knew the ending. If you ever wondered if one person can make a difference read this book!
This book starts off slow but improves rapidly. Really enjoyed it
Great reminder of Russian/WWII history and what the Jews and Hungarian people endured
