A billionaire who wants a perfect wife…At thirty-five, Marcus Carelli has it all: wealth, power, and the kind of looks that leave women breathless. A self-made billionaire, he heads one of the largest hedge funds on Wall Street and can take down major corporations with a single word. The only thing he’s missing? A wife who’d be as big of an achievement as the billions in his bank account.A cat … billions in his bank account.
A cat lady who needs a date…
Twenty-six-year-old bookstore clerk Emma Walsh has it on good authority that she’s a cat lady. She doesn’t necessarily agree with that assessment, but it’s hard to argue with the facts. Raggedy clothes covered with cat hair? Check. Last professional haircut? Over a year ago. Oh, and three cats in a tiny Brooklyn studio? Yep, she’s got those.
And yes, fine, she hasn’t had a date since… well, she can’t recall. But that part is fixable. Isn’t that what the dating sites are for?
A case of mistaken identity…
One high-end matchmaker, one dating app, one mix-up that changes everything… Opposites may attract, but can this last?

What an entertaining story! Full of angst, humour and passion. This story is refreshingly different with an eccentric heroine who has no interest in wealth or status, and a billionaire who is knocked off his feet by her idiosyncratic behaviour and attitude to life.
The story is told from the perspectives of both Emma and Marcus, and although this is not my usual choice of story, the characters are so well written and relatable I couldn’t help but become caught up in their lives and the predicaments they encountered.
An edgy romantic comedy with plenty of heat and heart…I received an advanced copy of this book from the author.
Marcus is a hedge fund go getter from Wall Street and Emma is a sometimes editor and a retail store employee. Their meeting is so unlikely that it can only be fate.
Their journey is so topsy turvy that the reader can’t let go, I couldn’t stop reading because I needed to see what happens next.
Oh and that ending! I can’t wait for the next book in this series!
An upcoming from Anna Zaires
WallStreet Titan is a slow burn. But dangit when the fire work finally burn… Wohaa! It’s… I need more pages after pages after pages of hot details
I love the heroin. Emma is a book lover (hands up if it’s you), love her cats deeply, a true romantic, adorably sweet yet strong minded and independent girl with a childhood she couldn’t shake out off her. She’s no princess. She’s no siren. She’s not Coy. She’s genuine. I love Emma. I love her attitude that always pays her own meal even a hot rich guy take her to dinner.
And the hero… Ohmylawwwd Marcus!
This man is … when he say mine mine mine! I could have swear he was talking about me
Marcus is a self made man. Not sure I got the term right here
He wasn’t born from money but he sure know how to make it. His background is something cliche of the abusive parents. But it makes him who he is today. A billionaire. A wall street Titan. A man who knows what he wants and how to get it.
And he wants a wife. A trophy wife who would be perfect for the great Marcus Carelli.
Enter the matchmaker.
The perfect woman with Royalty in her every bone.
Until the missunderstood red haired cat lady stand in front of him.
All of the sudden all the perfect for Marcus seems un important when the wrong one feels so right.
Oh wow! I loved it. This is a new direction for Anna Zaires and she’s totally aced it with this one. I loved the chemistry between Emma and Marcus, and the heat these two give off when they’re together is sizzling hot. It’s a fantastic read and I can’t wait for the concluding part!
Anna Zaires knocks it out of the park once again with “Wall Street Titan”. This is definitely not as dark as some of her previous work but the alpha lead is my favorite since Julian in her “Twist Me Trilogy”. This is not dark romance, but it is sizzling romance with a strong alpha male. Marcus and Emma are adorably quirky together. I read this in one night and can’t wait on more about these two. Anna has a writing style that is fresh and unpredictable. Five stars!
Emma hasn’t had a date in so long she can barely remember the last one. So when her friend asks demands she remedy that situation immediately, she finally signs up for a dating app. And promptly meets who she thinks is the sweet, slightly nerdy guy she’s been conversing with on said app.
Except her mistaken case of identity isn’t really Mark. No. It’s Marcus. Billionaire Wall Street guru. Man looking for the proper wife to fit in with his life. And then a feisty redhead tumbles into his life and nothing is the same after. He can’t get her out of his mind and he means to have her. So have her he does. Every which way he can. But his obsession with her just might be the one thing that breaks her heart (and his).
And then that nasty little cliffhanger, which I honestly wasn’t prepared for! Now I’m waiting until God knows when for what I hope is the conclusion because I have to know how Marcus plans on fixing his little (BIG) fuckup. Please, please, please let part 2 land on my Kindle, stat!
I’ve been a huge fan of Anna Zaires’ work for years. She is one of the authors who made me love dark romances. So when I heard she had a new project, I couldn’t be more happy!
Wall Street Titan wasn’t at all what I expected though. If you’re looking for a dark romance, this is not the story you need. In the other hand, if you are in the mood for a sweet and fun read, you’re going to have a great time with Marcus and Emma.
When a coincidence / misunderstanding puts a feisty cat lady and a hedge fund billionaire together, expect things to take an interesting turn.
I really enjoyed the lengths Marcus went to in order to seduce Emma, he truly is a swoon-worthy hero. Emma’s innocence and fire cracked me up.
But all, unfortunately, I am sorry to say it wasn’t enough for me. I needed the thrill the author usually shows in her storyline. I kept expecting the pace to pick up, I certainly wished for more spicy or edgy situations. Will the second installment bring more tension and passion between Marcus and Emma? To be followed…
I VOLUNTARILY REVIEWED AN ARC COPY OF THIS BOOK. THANK YOU!!!
I received a review copy before release for an honest review.
This is the first book I have ever read by this author and it was really terrific. I thought it was a very original story and it was well written and the characters were really terrific. The only thing I did not like about it was it did not end. It ends on a very mild cliff hanger and going in I had no idea. I try to avoid duets and serials and books that will end on a cliff hanger and had I known it I would never have read it or reviewed it. That said it was also awesome. So Now I have to wait until February 2020 to find out what happens next.
This story was a lot of fun. Its about two very opposite people. Marcus is a 35 year old billionaire living in a Penthouse with a butler in Manhatten and who wants a trophy wife and he goes to a matchmaker to find him a wife. He loves his job and doesn’t want anything to distract him from the job. He wants a polished wife who will be his partner and take care of his kids.
Emma is a 26 year old broke, going nowhere book store employee and book editor living in a tiny apartment in Brooklyn. She has two best friends and a great employer and three cats that give her love whenever she is home. But no man and so she lets herself use an app to find a date.
They meet for all of 5 minutes in a café when they think each other is the others blind date and Marcus falls into instalust with Emma. Nothing will ever be the same for either of them and that was the funnest part of the story. They have absolutely nothing in common but a lust for the other and so the fun begins.
This book was HOT, and slow burn and very original in that these two are so not what they think they want that they end up being adorable together. However Markus is about business 1st and romance 2nd where Emma wants to come 1st and so the story ends on a small cliff hanger.
The author who opened women’s eyes to the darkly erotic possibilities to be found in their own kitchen sinks with Tormentor Mine knocks it out of the park with a swoon-worthy rom-com that may have you racing to your nearest animal shelter to adopt every stray cat in sight in a desire to embrace the glamorous, sexy cat-lady life Zaires creates in Wall Street Titan.
Did you read the book blurb and think: Not another novel about a mousy heroine falling for a high-powered billionaire totally out of her league?! Yes! Yes, this is just that. And it isn’t. Because Wall Street Titan delivers a NEXT-LEVEL mousy bookstore clerk cat-lady heroine who smashes the tired stereotype you’re expecting her to be.
Sure, Emma’s character is set up to embody many trappings of her trope, but she’s no virgin waiting to be rescued. She doesn’t want a Pretty Woman makeover. And she’d walk away from the most eligible bachelor in NYC without a second glance if he couldn’t make nice with her cats. Emma owns her cat-lady-ness and her Salvation Army sense of style in a way that is at once hilarious, badass, and simply inspired. She’s comfortable with her life and has no desire to change her ways to accommodate any man—no matter how charming, wealthy, or dead sexy he may be. And somehow she manages to turn Marcus’s whole world upside down without doing anything but being herself during every encounter they have.
But zany lovable as Emma’s quirky character is, Marcus’s humorous thoughts and reactions to Emma tickled me the most throughout as Emma’s nonchalant take-me-as-I-am-with-all-my-cats-or-get-lost attitude causes the self-assured billionaire hedge fund manager to unravel as he begins to question who he is and what he really wants out of life.
Zaires’s eloquent, fluid writing-style never fails to grip me from the start. But of all her books I’ve read to date, Wall Street Titan came to life for me with a cinematic quality unlike any other. From their first meet-cute, the pairing of Emma and Marcus sets the stage for a fresh and compelling opposites-attract relationship dynamic in a contemporary romance that is sexy, humorous, and enchanting straight out of the gate. I found the characters to be genuine and engaging, the storyline immersing, and the pacing on point. So much so that I read Wall Street Titan cover to cover in one sitting because I Could. Not. Put. It. Down. It surpassed all my wildest expectations while managing to completely take me by surprise.
Wall Street Titan has all the markers of a safe, feel-good romantic comedy but with all the taut, underlying erotic tension and explosive sexual payoff readers have come to expect from an Anna Zaires’s dark romance. FLOVED it and highly recommend!
Anna Zaires has captured my heart with this fun and titillating story of a blind date gone horribly wrong!
Marcus is a, 35 year old, Wall Street tycoon on the hunt for the perfect wife. When you can afford to be picky, why bother settling for someone that doesn’t understand the demands of a successful career.
Emma is a ,26 year old, single woman that lives a domesticated life in the company of her 3 cats. Her first impression of the 6’3, gorgeous and well-dressed, man was beyond her expectations, but his rude and intimidating behavior was not worth the time she is willing to put up with.
Marcus and Emma are the epitome of the term ‘opposites attract’, and watching the attraction grow between these two characters had my heart thumping on hyperdrive!
As a fan of her darker novels, Anna’s work has always had the ability to grasp my attention. This contemporary romance was just as engrossing and with her talent of writing cliffhangers, I cannot wait for the second installment of the Alpha Zone!
Cliffhanger Warning Ahead!
Wall Street Titan is a brand new story from the fabulous Anna Zaires. This is the first book in a new series.
I am no stranger to the fantastic and immense worlds created by Anna Zaires but must say that this story is not the typical dark romance that I expect when I pick up an Anna Zaires book. No, this story is an opposites attract, contemporary romance with some laugh out loud humor thrown into the mix.
Marcus is an alpha self-made billionaire. Manager of a hedgefund he’s a man with an agenda… find a woman worthy of the role as his wife. Armed with his list of ‘must haves’ he seeks the assistance of a match-maker to help him find a woman that is in his social class who is elegant and fashionable and understands that he’s a businessman and works long hours.
Emma is a 26 year old cat lady. Working at a bookstore and editing on the side is not how she anticipated her life. Pressured by her friend, Emma soon finds herself on a dating app and has been matched up with a nice guy who also likes cats.
Worlds collide when Marcus and Emma both have dates at the same place… with people that have similar names to one another. What starts as a mix-up soon unfolds into an interesting and exciting new story that’ll have readers hooked and yearning for more!
Anna always amazes me with her incredibly detailed storytelling. The depth and development she puts into her characters is a true craft. Her stories are always captivating and leave readers wanting more.
Like I mentioned, this is not typical Anna style. This is not dark and twisted romance, its contemporary romance with sizzling heat to it. I’m excited to see this author branching out and can’t wait to see what else she has in store for his with Marcus and Emma.
It’s a must read!!!
Wall Street Titan by Anna Zaires is book One in the Alpha Zone Series. This is the story of Emma Walsh and Marcus Carelli. Marcus has almost everything in his life that he wants. But there is the one thing he hasn’t yet taken to the limit is having the perfect wife. Emma is a young women but has settled into a cat lady life that seems to be doing everything but dating or doing things just for her. When a mix up happens it leads Marcus and Emma to meet. Both are so different from the other but they both feel the heat between them.
Loved this take on a opposite attracts romance. I can’t wait for the next installment into their story.
*clears throat*
[being rant]
Dear authors who write duets/trilogies and don’t even give a hint that this is what the reader is getting into when they download your book, STOP.IT. It’s deceiving and you’re not going to win any points by doing it!
Thanks in advance,
Me
[end rant]
I’ve never read this author but she’s collaborating with a favorite of mine in the near future, so I thought I’d get ahead of it and try her work out. It didn’t disappoint, unless you count the above rant, which is HUGE. But I’m moving on. Promise. Maybe. GOD, I HATE IT WHEN THAT HAPPENS. Okay, I’m done now. Probably.
Our two leads were night and day but yet perfect pieces of a puzzle. I loved that! It made their story exciting and captivating and very very sexy 🙂 I’d love to tell you more but their story hasn’t come full circle yet so …. Stay tuned.
Sidenote: I’m rating this book 4 stars but it should be 3.5 because, misinformation, but it doesn’t deserve a 3 star rating so 4 it is. (this is why I hate rating books)
This caught me by surprise. I really enjoyed it. Who ever thought a hedge fund billionaire would be this passionate? I LOVED the cats!! Their personalities were spot on throughout the story, they felt like secondary characters. Kendall and the grandparents were hilarious. I bust a gut several times while reading their parts. I’m invested and is want to see what happens with this couple. I really like Marcus. He’s hella hot and Kitten really lit into him when she was mad. I love a woman that isn’t a pushover, especially when the Alpha male is used to getting his way. I highly recommend this book. I knew this was a trilogy but was unhappy with the abrupt ending of this story. Sigh now I have to wait….
Wall Street Titan is my first book by Anna Zaires, and if this is anything to go by, it certainly won’t be the last. Of course, I’ll need to read at least one more, as this isn’t a standalone, even though I went into it thinking it was. The way the story ended was unexpected, to say the least. But, regardless of all that, this was an insanely good book. I loved the characters. This is an opposite attracts/ Cinderella-type story that’s so HAWT your kindle may melt from the steamy times.
Emma is a twenty-six-year-old ‘catlady, living in a tiny basement apartment in Brooklyn who has barely had two cents to rub together while Marcus is a hedge fund manager worth billions. They met by accident in a mistaken identity mixup that has to top the ‘When Harry Met Sally’ vibe. These two are volcanic together, and what started as just a hookup to get Emma out of his head some becomes an obsession, one that Marcus figures he needs to control, only he goes about it the wrong way. Now, I need to wait for the conclusion to find out what happens next.
This story is very entertaining. Marcus and Emma accidentally meet in this cute billionaire romance. It is a slow start, but has a great middle and end. They are very different and lead very different lives. Together they make sense, but apart reality seeps in to create doubt. It does end on a cliff, so there is another book coming. I can’t wait to find out what is next with this couple.
I am totally addicted to this new series by Anna Zaires. I was hooked from page one which starts out with Emma talking about her three cats while having breakfast with her friend Kendall. Emma is 26 years old, lives alone in a basement studio apartment with her three cats, Mr. Puffs, Queen Elizabeth and Cottonball, works at a bookstore and does editing on the side. Not what she’d planned for her life after college, but here she is.
Marcus Carelli is 35 and is a Wall Street hedge fund manager worth millions. His company is in charge of 92 billion dollars in investor money and he knows exactly what he wants out of life. He has reached a point in his life where he now wants a wife. A wife who is smart, elegant, stylish and will be a compliment to him. So, to get what he wants, Marcus goes to a recommended matchmaker and hires her to find his idea of the perfect wife.
Marcus and Emma meet by chance, a meeting that is purely a case of mistaken identity and neither of them realizes it at the time. Both have blind dates at the same cafe, on the same day. The problem? Marcus is there to meet Emmeline, while Emma is there to meet Mark.
“I don’t know, Marcus,” I say, putting special emphasis on the formal name. “I’ve only been around you for two minutes, and I’m already feeling homicidal.” That sentence had me laughing out loud! And there are so many more throughout the book.
Emma, meanwhile, is coming to the conclusion that someone has played a not so funny joke on her. She doesn’t know if perhaps her friend Kendall is involved, or if Marcus is entirely to blame for what is fast becoming a disaster of a blind date. Marcus, however, is trying to figure out this instant lust he feels for Emma, she’s no where near his usual type. He’s fast losing control and feels as if a caveman has emerged, a caveman who wants to drag Emma off to his cave and have his way with her. He can’t get the carnal thoughts out of his head. When Emma storms off, his lust rages again and he starts after her, only to be stopped by Emmeline who has just arrived. But he can’t get Emma out of his head and when Emmeline finds a phone in the booth Marcus sees his opportunity to find Emma. Thus begins Marcus’ pursuit of Emma.
If I could give this book 10 stars I would gladly do so. I am in awe of Anna Zaires. This book is listed as 362 pages, but I’m telling you it didn’t feel like it. This was one of those books that I. Could. Not. Put. Down! And the ONLY reason I did put it down without finishing in one sitting was because of that four letter word of having to go to WORK!!! Plus I had to get some sleep .
I recommend it to anyone 18+ who enjoys romantic comedies and plenty of sexual scenes, with a shade of darkness thrown into the mix.
**Edited to add that I received an ARC of this book from the author and that this is my honest review for the authors work.
Wall Street Titan is the first book about cat-loving, struggling to make ends meet Emma, and billionaire hedge fund manager Marcus. They had a meet cute worthy of any romance movie, which was good because the whole rest of the book read like one of your favorite romance movies too, albeit way sexier (yay!). I love the classic billionaire alpha/poor girl/opposites attract theme and this one had an extra level of enjoyment brought by the deliciously jealous/possessive Marcus. It was a joy to watch him fool himself over his instant and ever-growing obsession with Emma, someone who is the opposite of who he thought his ideal woman was. This is a light and sexy contemporary romance with the high-quality writing this author is known for, rendering it a breeze to read. The conflicts are minor but enough – just perfect to not weigh things down – and the ending is what I call a soft cliffhanger. I am eagerly anticipating what happens next for this charming couple.
I should start by saying that Anna never ceases to amaze me. I’m convinced she could write about just about anything, and I’d gobble it right up like a fiend.
Billionaire contemporary romance isn’t usually my favorite. So when my copy hit my kindle yesterday, I almost behaved. Almost said “nope, it’s going to have to wait” because of my own looming deadline.
That said, I think it’s safe to say I started reading immediately and have now fallen behind lol.
The characters that Anna creates blow me away, and I’m still thinking about them to the point that I raced to write my review immediately upon completion.
Emma is just perfect for Marcus, and the hints of their shared history despite the fact that they are total and complete opposites really made me melt for them as a couple. Those hints of darkness that come through with Marcus in his possessive and determined personality offered just a bit of that gritty romance I’ve come to expect from Anna, but in a much lighter and probably more realistic way.
I loved it. If I could give the book 10 stars I would, and it’s one of my favorite reads of the year.
I’ll anxiously be waiting to put off another deadline when the next book releases.
Marcus and Emma’s story is !!!!! I absolutely loved this book!!!!! Anna Zaires just keeps getting better and better!!!! She is so amazingly talented!!!!! Five Phenomenal Stars!!!!!!
