A billionaire who wants a perfect wife…At thirty-five, Marcus Carelli has it all: wealth, power, and the kind of looks that leave women breathless. A self-made billionaire, he heads one of the largest hedge funds on Wall Street and can take down major corporations with a single word. The only thing he’s missing? A wife who’d be as big of an achievement as the billions in his bank account.A cat … billions in his bank account.
A cat lady who needs a date…
Twenty-six-year-old bookstore clerk Emma Walsh has it on good authority that she’s a cat lady. She doesn’t necessarily agree with that assessment, but it’s hard to argue with the facts. Raggedy clothes covered with cat hair? Check. Last professional haircut? Over a year ago. Oh, and three cats in a tiny Brooklyn studio? Yep, she’s got those.
And yes, fine, she hasn’t had a date since… well, she can’t recall. But that part is fixable. Isn’t that what the dating sites are for?
A case of mistaken identity…
One high-end matchmaker, one dating app, one mix-up that changes everything… Opposites may attract, but can this last?

Wow what a possessive alpha that will have you hooked from the very beginning to the very ending and will have you loving this story as it will have you own the edge of your seat and wanting the next book to this story. This is a must read that will keep you on the edge of your seat.
I absolutely loved and adored Wall Street Titan. Anna Zaires took me on a wonderful and creative journey with her writing. Emma and Marcus are two people who are polar opposites of each other. After an accidental meeting while searching for the perfect woman Marcus bumps into Emma. She’s left such an impression, that he can’t stop thinking about her. These two characters will go through the highs and lows of a relationship. Will Emma fit the mold of a perfect woman for Marcus? Will they get their happily ever after together? This book was sexy, sassy, intriguing, fun and exciting. I cannot wait to get my hands on the follow up to see how this all will end. A must read for romance lovers.
This is not a dark romance typical of Anna Zaires’s but the story is still pretty good. Although, I’m still trying to warm up to Marcus, I’m totally in love with Emma. She’s a spunky cat lady and she really gives
Marcus a run for his money. Basically, she doesn’t let anyone walk all over her. She’s a very strong woman.
Marcus, on the other hand, knows what he wants but I feel like he’s a little self-absorbed. I’m sure his character will grow and change more as the story goes on since this is only the first book in the series.
I should mention that this first book ends in a sort of cliffhanger.
This was a spectacular introduction to the world of Rom-Com from Anna. It seemed like she had been doing this for years, or quite possibly she secretly writes cinematically for Hollywood.
What I love:
• It’s hilarious
• A great story
• Cats
What I wish was different:
• It took more than half the book for the characters to be a couple
• I don’t think it needs more than one book for this relationship
• I wish book two would have been Kendall’s story (You’re going to love her).
For me, the things I love about the story outweigh the things I wish were different. Considering this is Anna’s first Rom-Com I’m not at all disappointed. She did a great job building the story, loved the hilarious inner dialogue between Marcus and Emma’s cats, and I found I didn’t quite believe him when his response to, “Have you ever done porn?” was a rather distracted, “No.”
I recommend reading it, but know that it ends on a cliffhanger.
No matter whether it’s Sc-Fi, dark romance, or contemporary romance, Anna Zaires is a master of words. I was so excited to hear of her foray into CR and I knew it would be the masterpiece Wall Street Titan turned out to be.
Wall Street Titan is the story of Marcus Carelli, a billionaire head of a hedge fund in New York City. He is looking for a trophy wife through a matchmaker and Emma, the heroine has decided to tackle online dating to find the guy for her. They meet by accident when each goes to the same cafe for a blind date. Marcus is looking for a woman named Emmeline and Emma is looking for a guy named Mark. There is an instant attraction between the two and although Marcus does end up meeting Emmeline, he can’t quit thinking about the feisty redhead he met before her. For her part, Emma is angry, thinking Marcus was making fun of her until she finally realizes it was a case of mistaken identity.
They try to stay away from each other, but the pull is way too strong. They finally get together and while the chemistry is white-hot, Marcus thinks he can only be with Emma for sex as she doesn’t fit into the parameters of what he thinks his wife should be and Emma doesn’t think Marcus can want her for anything long-term either. Although they didn’t know it at first, they came from similar backgrounds which shaped their way of thinking in reference to relationships.
Watching them grow closer together was a delight and reading their hot as h&#ll sex scenes almost made my Kindle melt! Marcus makes the Energizer Bunny appear to be falling down on the job. I mean, wow, this dude is my quintessential fantasy man lol.
As I was nearing the end, I thought Marcus might charm his way out of his faux pas, but Emma wasn’t having it. I’m looking forward to the next installment so I can see what over-the-top thing he does to get her to take him back. I have a feeling he’s going to get her grandparents to take up his cause. Bring on more smexy times and maybe a little bit of Marcus groveling. Yeah, that would work 😉
Congratulations, Anna Zaires, on such an amazing book. You just proved you’re a well-rounded literary genius! I give Wall Street Titan 5+ stars!
“Fall in love! A blind date, a case of mistaken identities, and unexpected attraction leads to an enthralling feel-good romance I am totally obsessed with!” ~Addison Cain, USA Today bestselling author
I was not expecting this book to give me such a book hangover! I need book two right now! Wall Street Titan is an amazing Rom-Com that I could not put down! Marcus and Emma’s story was an unexpected surprise, now I need to read everything by Anna Zaries!
This titan is tremendous! 5 stars
Wow, just wow, this book is tremendous! I loved this opposites attract story! This isn’t the “normal” Anna Zaires dark romance read, but it still pulled me in right from the beginning and didn’t let me go until that cliffhanger of an ending! The characters had depth and were engaging. Emma was so relatable, and I felt for her so much. Marcus is definitely a titan: commanding, confident, possessive, and sexy with vulnerability hiding underneath his Wall Street suit. I couldn’t get enough of him, just like Emma! Their chemistry sizzles from their first mistake meeting. I love that Emma brought Marcus to his knees without even trying; she was just being herself! Marcus said he will stop at nothing to get what he wants, so I can’t wait to see what happens in the next book! If you have never read Anna Zaires because she may be too dark for you, I highly recommend you try this opposites attract, emotional, sexy love story.
I received a copy of this ebook from the author/Give Me Books PR for my honest review.
This dang book.
One thing that I can say with conviction now, is that there is so much more to this author than dark romance. Up until now, this is all I have known of her. I had no idea that she could do this. This story is more than rags to riches type of story or opposites attract Even though it is that. I mean, how much more opposite can it be with a wealthy man and the crazy cat lady?
As a cat lady and a woman that went through wanting more (before I finally learned that being single is not a bad thing), I related to Emma and her feelings for Marcus. I like that he challenged her and made her see that she could AND should reach for higher because she deserved it no matter what she was told. And Marcus, sweet lord this delicious man. He sure got more than he was expecting with Emma.
I am very much looking forward to what happens next. Loved these characters and story.
Loved this story, who doesn’t love a billionaire and a hard working struggling but determined red-head. Emma has 3 cats in her life, Marcus has hedge funds in his life. They meet by accident and Marcus is obsessed with the spunky red-head and Emma is taken by his good-looks. This book is an easy to read page-turner. If you love romance you will love it. I can’t wait for the next book.
I received a copy of this book from the publisher/author to review.

Oh my goodness, I loved and I do mean loved loved this book. This is a story of Marcus, a wall street billionaire who wants a wife, and Emma, a “cat lady” who hasn’t been on a date in years. He has everything that he could ever possibly want and she lives in a small apartment in Brooklyn and works in a bookstore. She is perfectly happy with her job and her three cats but her best friend think that she needs to go out. Get out there and find her a man. Her best friend sets up on a dating app and it isn’t long until she is going to go and meet up with Mark. For his part Marcus is using a matchmaker and it does not take her long to find his perfect match and the possible wife he is looking for. He is all set to meet up with Emmaline. These two do not know that they are both meeting up in the same place with their dates and soon a case of mistaken identity takes place. It isn’t long until the hot billionaire is obsesses with the little poor cat lady. To find out what happens you have to grab the book. I am not going to tell you. I will say that Anna Zaries had me hooked from the first page and I didn’t want this book to end. I fell so in love with Marcus and Emma. I loved the time I got to spend with them and I will also tell you that your going to have one heck of a book hangover. This is one of those books that will stick with you for forever and you will be rereading this on many many times.
This book was fantastic! I absolutely adored these characters. Emma’s portrayal of a cat lady is perfection and also I would like to adopt all three of her cats. Honestly I looked forward to every scene they were in just because they were some characters in themselves lol. Marcus was frustrating and wonderful and I wanted to love all over him. The whole time I was reading this book I didn’t want it to end and I wanted the story to keep going.. however I thought it was a standalone. So imagine my surprise when I get to the end and discover it’s a series! I was super excited but then also “Damnit!” at the same time if that makes sense lol. I can’t wait for the next book to come out because I desperately need to know what happens next with these characters.
Anna Zaires’ Wall Street Titan is a delicious fast paced read that checks all of my boxes!
Assertive feisty heroine –
Domineering Alpha hero –
Solid World Building –
Sizzling Chemistry between love interest –
Wall Street Titan has it all and then some! This story breaks from Ms. Zaires’ traditional alpha anti-hero characters, but there is absolutely nothing that is a miss with Marcus, other than the fact that his dealings are on the legal side of the law!
The story begins when Emma agrees to meet someone from an online dating site. When Emma meets Marcus he is not what she expects. The same can be said for Marcus, Emma is not the woman he was expecting to meet and not having done his homework, Marcus is a bit confused by the sassy red head in front of him. Between the confusion with their names and curt verbal exchange, it is clear that neither is what the other is looking for… on paper. However try to convince their libidos otherwise. The two are extremely attracted to one another but neither is really willing to budge and be gracious during their date. The date is an epic disaster and Emma swears off online dating. And so the story of Marcus and Emma begins.
Emma is such a darling, even though she lacks drive and self motivation.
Marcus is frustrating and rather demanding, he can’t seem to reconcile what he wants and what he desires are two very different things. So the question becomes how can he reconcile finding the picture perfect wife billionaire’s donning the lousy and grace of Jackie O. with the feisty, vivacious, curvy red head he is lusting after?
I guess you’ll have to read and find out.
Anna Zaires brilliantly sets the characters up for a wild ride as Emma and Marcus navigate their realities with their desire for one another!
Bravo Ms Zaires! BRAVO!
This book will have you reading cover-to-cover without realizing the story is over… for now.
Book two can’t come soon enough!
Not your normal dark Anna.. But this book just shows what an amazing author she is. Loved it
I have been a fan of Anna Zaires for years and have read all of her previous books and although this is not her typical offering, it is steamy, emotional and you will not be able to put it down. Set in New York, readers are given an introduction to Marcus, a billionaire hedge fund manager with all that wealth affords, and his opposite Emma, a clerk in a bookstore, who is living paycheck to paycheck. By a strange twist of fate, Marcus meets Emma at a café thinking they were each other’s date. After a brief exchange of words, Emma storms off, leaving Marcus to meet his real date. However, he is unable to get Emma out of his mind and the wheels are spinning. In order to purge his seeming obsession, he plans on a one-night affair but will that do the trick or will it leave him worse off than he already is? Although they come from seemingly different worlds, they find that they have things in common but can Emma handle the disparity? The chemistry between these two is off the charts. I cannot wait for the next book to see how this relationship develops.
LOVED IT!
I am enamored with this author. I loved the bejesus out of her previous series, and this book was no different. While this one was contemporary compared to her usual lean toward a darker story, I still loved it. As a primarily dark romance reader I am fussy about contemporary romance, but Wall Street Titan held its own!
The chemistry between Marcus and Emma was off the charts. Their physical reactions to one another exploded off the page. It’s as if their bodies recognized a counterpart in the other before their hearts and minds caught up. And I loved every word of it.
Marcus thought he knew it all, and was about to have it all with the addition of a perfectly perfect trophy wife. He just needed someone to find her for him. Because he was too busy for such nonsense. That’s what he has people for, right? To find things for him. Including a wife. When life serves him up a different dish than he ordered, he slowly (and I mean slowly) realizes that maybe she could be more than a quick one-nighter. Or two-nighter. Maybe even a fling? Or more? Well, let’s not get too crazy… he’d need his analysts to check out the risks on something like that.
Emma is happily (well, satisfactorily… somewhat) buzzing along in the rut where she’s allowed herself to settle. Same job she had in college. Same three cats. Same apartment. Same relationship status she’s had for years (which is to say, no activity). When her friend pushes her to a come-to-Jesus moment she decides to pursue meeting someone. Too bad that someone accidentally turns out to be a man she never would have approached, or met, under any other circumstances aside from the serendipity that occurred that particular night. Or, IS it too bad? Maybe the man she never would have given a second glance is just what she needs. It is starting to look that way. Which, of course, terrifies our young Emma.
Marcus is not exactly his normal, suave self around Emma, which unsettles him to no end. Rather than his usual wine-and-dine he sort of trips and falls face first into his attempts with her.
Despite his inability to bring his A-game, he ends up charming her. Better than he would have with his A-game, actually, because she likely would have been skeptical as all hell, and rightfully so.
I saw so much of myself in Emma- in her personality, her thoughts, her fears. I loved her. She came across so real. So genuine. She wasn’t perfect, neither in personality nor in body. She wasn’t a stick-thin blonde bombshell with pillowy lips and huge blue eyes. She wasn’t the most beautiful woman in the room everywhere she went. She was everywoman, and I loved that about her.
Overall I loved this somewhat Cinderella story of the downtrodden, realistic woman who meets the arrogant, prince-like man. Neither is looking for the other, but they are exactly what each other needs. She needs some spark of motivation to shake herself out of her comfort zone. He is very likely the most motivated person she has ever met. He needs to let go of this notion he has of what he needs to be, what he should have (i.e. a trophy wife), and learn to embrace the freedom of pursuing what you actually want. In that capacity they will free each other. If they can get over their own fears, that is.
I loved that, even though Marcus and Emma’s story is not complete, it isn’t really a cliffhanger at the end of this book. Thank goodness- I don’t fare well with cliffhangers.
So, fellow bingers: I generally wouldn’t recommend starting a duet or series before all of the books are out (see inability to handle cliffhangers above), but you’ll be okay with this one! It is more of a natural break. The start of a new life chapter, if you will. It doesn’t leave you hanging off the side of a cliff by three fingernails. It is more like sitting in a waiting room because you arrived hella early for an appointment. In other words, feel free to dive in!
I can’t wait for the next book to see how far Marcus will go to show Emma that he is worth the risk!
Hot, hot, hot! Slightly nerdy cat lady falls for intensely focused Wall Street Tycoon
Anna Zaires manages to infuse the somewhat over-used trope of a financially challenged arts major falling for a driven Wall Street Billionaire with freshness and excitement and lots of steam. It’s hot and it’s emotional and I could not put it down.
I have to admit that for some reason I went into this book thinking it was a standalone, but around 70% I was starting to get an inkling that the story could not be wrapped up in the remaining 30%. On the product page this book is listed to have over 360 pages, but it felt a lot shorter; probably because I was so into the story and didn’t want it to end. Although it does end at an inopportune time in the story arc, it is not a cliffhanger as such.
By way of disclosure I will also say that I am a fan of Anna Zaires’ and have read all her previous books, which are either Dark Romance or Sci-Fi/Fantasy Romance and feature relationships that range from dub-con to non-consensual capture fantasies (which I loved). So I was just the tiniest bit apprehensive when Anna announced her foray into more mainstream contemporary romance with Wall Street Titan, since I loved the dynamics of her “forced” relationships so much and I wondered how the excitement and intensity of such a forbidden relationship would translate into a more conventional type of romance in which full consent is the basis of every interaction.
In a way this is also a classical Cinderella trope, although Emma isn’t exactly destitute, but she is a former Arts Major, working kind of a dead-end job in a bookstore all the while trying to establish herself as freelance editor. She lives in a dingy, dark and gloomy basement studio in Brooklyn with her three cats. Although coming from poverty, too, Marcus, on the other hand is a self-made Billionaire, who manages a successful hedge fund. He is driven and focused and has reached most of the goals he set out to do, but now he realizes that he needs a presentable trophy wife for social occasions. So, he goes about acquiring one in the same methodical fashion as he does everything else. In the normal series of events these two would never meet, but confronted with the up-coming birthday of a friend, Emma realizes she hasn’t had a boyfriend for ages and also quite a long dry spell, so she decides to check in to the dating app she signed up for ages ago. By chance they both end up at the same restaurant and mistake each other for their respective date. It’s mostly mutual dislike at first sight, if it wouldn’t be for that strange attraction they both feel…
Although it is also an “opposites attract” story, the two of them living in different worlds really, I liked that they had some things in common, too, like their difficult childhood experiences that shaped them both and that lets them connect on a emotional level. But they are also both wary: Emma, because she cannot let herself be anything but independent and Marcus because he is still somewhat hung up on the idea of the perfect wife, despite the off-the charts attraction he feels for Emma. Their sexual encounters are insanely hot, but their emotional investment is not on an equal footing. When Emma comes to understand that, she pulls back. Perversely that is when Marcus realizes that he is in much deeper than he thought and decides to go all in.
Can’t wait for the next installment to see how the chase turns out!
When stars align and planets stand in a straight line, humans mistakenly cross paths and fates intertwine

“With that dimpled smile, the little redhead looks so … adorable I want to lick her like an ice cream cone.”

Anna of the dark romance fame, takes on a new route with this book. It’s a sweet, cute, contemporary romance and kept me entertained throughout.
Sexy times, sweet banter and addictive romance like unhealthy chocolate obsession.
Who wants Netflix and chill now!!
4 stars for Diva Cats
This was the best light hearted story that I have ever read by A. Zaries. This was funny, hot and steamy all in one. I am a huge fan of this author and I’m used to her pretty dark reads. However this was a nice change of pace. It starts with the wrong date mix up and its nothing but light hearted drama from there. I can’t wait for part two. This is a must read, Anna it does NOT disappoint.
This is the story about two people from completely different worlds having a chance encounter that changes the course of their lives.
Emma is in the process of becoming a bona fide cat lady when she realizes that she needs more from her personal life. She never imagined that a case of mistaken identity would lead her to someone like Marcus.
Marcus is ambitious and wants to achieve the same level of success in both his career and future marriage. His search for the ideal wife leads him to Emma, bringing with it the realization that he has finally met his match. Marcus is determined in his pursuit of Emma and when he catches her, he will never let her go.
This book does end in a cliffhanger that makes me want to read the next book right now. I cannot wait to continue Marcus and Emma’s story. I would definitely recommend this book to people who love a light-hearted romance with a possessive hero.
