A billionaire who wants a perfect wife…At thirty-five, Marcus Carelli has it all: wealth, power, and the kind of looks that leave women breathless. A self-made billionaire, he heads one of the largest hedge funds on Wall Street and can take down major corporations with a single word. The only thing he’s missing? A wife who’d be as big of an achievement as the billions in his bank account.A cat … billions in his bank account.
A cat lady who needs a date…
Twenty-six-year-old bookstore clerk Emma Walsh has it on good authority that she’s a cat lady. She doesn’t necessarily agree with that assessment, but it’s hard to argue with the facts. Raggedy clothes covered with cat hair? Check. Last professional haircut? Over a year ago. Oh, and three cats in a tiny Brooklyn studio? Yep, she’s got those.
And yes, fine, she hasn’t had a date since… well, she can’t recall. But that part is fixable. Isn’t that what the dating sites are for?
A case of mistaken identity…
One high-end matchmaker, one dating app, one mix-up that changes everything… Opposites may attract, but can this last?

Thank you to NetGalley for this audio ARC!
I picked this up on a whim. I had never read a book by Anna Zaires before and this one grabbed me. I’m so glad I gave it a chance! This funny, sweet contemporary romance was exactly what I needed.
Marcus and Emma had a funny meet cute and instant chemistry. Almost from the beginning, Marcus was completely gone for Emma, even if he couldn’t admit that to himself. That is one of my favorite types of heroes.
I also loved Emma and her cats and how she held her ground and didn’t change in order to be with Marcus. I don’t know yet what is going to happen in the rest of the story, but I hope she continues to be herself.
I was disappointed that this is part 1 of their story and we don’t get the HEA in this book, but that’s mostly because now I can hardly wait to start the next book! Thank goodness it’s already out or I would be so upset with that cliffhanger!
I will definitely be reading/listening to the next book very soon and checking out more of this author’s backlist.
This was my first book by Anna Zaires. It’s the first book in the Wall Street Titans Series. Emma & Marcus met through a random case of mistaken identity. Marcus, a self made billionaire, quickly became obsessed Emma, a quirky cat lady who works at a book store. They are an unlikely duo but it works! This book ends in a cliffhanger so be prepared to start book 2 right away! Sebastian York & Ava Erickson do a great job voicing Marcus & Emma.
Wall Street Titan was a fun and spicy billionaire romance. It wasn’t Anna Zaires’ normal dark romance (which I love) and it was still great. Marcus is looking for a wife. He has set goals for himself and this is his next one. He uses a prominent matchmaker in NYC and meets his first match at coffee shop. Emma is a bookworm who lives by a strict code of providing for herself no matter how much she’s struggling. When Emma and Marcus meet at the coffee shop by accident, it’s an insta hate/lust for both of them. Marcus can’t get the fiery redhead out his mind and is determined to make her his.
Marcus is a delightful dirty, alpha who’s confidence is very attractive. He has a tough past and he built himself up from nothing to be the successful billionaire he is. Emma is amazing. She doesn’t take advantage of people, always paying her way, never expecting anything from anyone. That’s so rare and such a great characteristic to have. I love that she has 3 crazy cats and that is so relatable to me. The story does end on a cliffhanger but that was expected. I can’t wait to listen to part 2.
The audiobook version of this story is amazing. Sebastian York is always great and the perfect choice to play the dirty talking billionaire. Ava Erickson was amazing as Emma. These two are always great together.
Ok this one was a fast read and by the end I immediately picked up the conclusion to this duet.
Ava Erickson and Sebastian York did a great job.
I received this audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this unbiased review. This does not affect my opinion of the audiobook or the content of my review.
An insta love with on over the top hero, who is blindsided his perfect girl on paper is different than the red head who captures his attention.
Marcus is in his mid 30s ready for a trophy wife who doesn’t mind a his lifestyle and busy workaholic schedule. Emma is in her mid 20s living her happy life with her three cats to appease family and friends she is on a dating app to meet other singles in New York. Emma on her way to meet her date Mark, mistake Marcus for her date, who is meeting Emmaline. Right away Marcus and Emma get off on the wrong foot on a misunderstanding but have an attraction that is insta and steamy.
I listened to the audiobook and enjoyed every single minute! I found myself down the aisle of Costco laughing and blushing at the entire antics. Emma is battling her personal issue that keep her independent and providing for herself. Marcus is a billionaire hedge fund who wants to give Emma everything. Marcus is over the top with his actions to get in Emmas life, he has his own battle trying to get Emma out of his system which proves to be difficult. After that cliffy, I will definitely be going out and purchasing book two.
I bought this book when it first came out based,I. The cover and title. I hadn’t read this author before. Then, unbeknownst to me, a second book came, out and I was glad I waited. Then, as does happen, it sat on my “read soon” list. Well, let me tell you. This book it compelling and captivating and I couldn’t put it down. I adore Marcus and a billionaire or not, he’s completely different from what I expected. I love a book where the alpha male characters is a bit as&holey but ends up pursuing relentlessly and doesn’t take no for an answer. I thoroughly enjoyed and know I will read again
5 stars for Wall Street Titan by Anna Zaries. This is book one in the Wall Street Titan series. This book is filled with witty banter so be ready for that. I loved Anna Zaries concept for this book. The whole opposites attract/ accidental encounter thing. However, I was not a fan of Marcus for about three fourths of this book, I’m not going to lie. I did not think he deserved a woman like Emma. Just saying. He does redeem himself eventually. I read this whole book in one sitting. I could not put it down I was hooked.
4.5 stars
I realized that I don’t review most of the audiobooks I’m listening to. I think that’s mainly because I’m not 100% focused when I’m listening to them. I’m trying to change that, starting with this one.
This is my first book from the author. I have a couple of her books in my TBR but haven’t gotten around to reading them yet… The audiobook is part of my audible escape subscription and since the synopsis sounded interesting, I decide to give it a chance!
Emma is a freelance editor/bookstore cashier, living with her 3 fur babies in Brooklyn. After a conversation with her best friend claiming that she’s turning into a cat lady, she decides to change that. Because of a name mix up she meets Marcus. He’s a hedge fund billionaire looking for the ideal wife. Emma might not check his ideal wife characteristics, but he’s intrigued by the fiery redhead. And that’s how their whirlwind romance starts.
Since this is book 1 of 2, you won’t fully see their relationship develop yet. I’m currently listening to the second book and I still have a long way to go. Both of them have demons to fight because of their childhood, especially Emma. Their story is nothing but complicated. Will they be able to overcome that? That’s yet to be decided…!
This story was intriguing, interesting, and fun. I enjoyed it.
This is the first book in the Wall Street Titan Duet. Marcus and Emma’s story is fun, steamy and fast-paced. They are opposites attract, but a misunderstanding brings them together. Emma is a lovely young ‘cat lady’, honest, independent, and kind. Marcus is rich, handsome, alpha, bossy, and very controlling! They share a sizzling chemistry. Emma’s cats stole the show! I love Kendall, Emma’s best friend. The story ends with a cliffhanger. Sebastian York and Ava Erickson did an outstanding job with the narration. I enjoyed it. Looking forward to listen to the next book in the Duet, Titan’s Addiction.
A good read, one I did by audio. Great narration and story. I never like a cliffhanger, but this one didn’t bother me too much. I can’t wait to see Marcus groveling in the next book!
Anna’s books are disturbing . I can’t put them down. I can’t wait to get a new book or a new series from her. Always a page turner.
Great Contemporary Romance with all the feels!
This is Anna Zaire’s first contemporary novel and it was so touching. Emma is a works in a bookstore and doesn’t go out much. Emma is a cat lady with 3 Persian cats in a studio apartment. Marcus is a Wall Street billionaire these two should have nothing in common. When they meet sparks fly and they both can’t get each other out of their minds. This was a great romance with both having to deal with their past. The best part other than the steamy sex scenes 😉 Was when Marcus was learning to enjoy the company of her 3 cats. This is part one of 2 books and I can’t wait to read what happens next with their relationship. I love Anna’s writing and how you always feel the emotions of the characters in her books. Definitely a must read!!
This was a sweet romance, something completely different from Anna Zaire’s usual dark style. It is a tale of mistaken identities. Marcus and Emma meet by accident at a coffee stop. It’s clear from the beginning that they are nothing alike. Marcus is a Wall Street billionaire and Emma is a bookworm who hangs out with cats in her free time. Emma is the polar opposite of what Marcus is looking for and yet he cannot get her out of his mind. The book ends with a cliffhanger. I didn’t realize it was a two part series until I got to the end otherwise I would have waited to read it. The final book in the series comes out in February 2020.
An entertaining story with characters I enjoyed! There was some pretty steamy scenes as well!! The author has a sense of humor that shines through in various parts of the story. One of my favorite parts was when Marcus was having a conversation with one of Emma’s cats, hilarious!
Emma works in a book store. Surrounding herself with books and cats is a safe bet. In fact everything she does is a safe bet. It’s dependable. She’s learned low expectations means you never get hurt. No risk therefore no hurt. That’s the perfect world for her.
Marcus has recreated a perfect life for himself. The only thing missing is a perfectly styled sophisticated wife to fit into his perfect world. He knows what the ugly side of life looks like and he isn’t going back. The picture perfect life he’s created is important to him and he almost has it complete. But, as fate would have it, he meets a spitfire redhead who is everything opposite of his rigid and perfectly planned life. Instead she is a penny pinching bookish cat lady. With her wild firey hair she is the furthest from refined he can get. Yet, Marcus can’t get her off his mind.
“She’s chocolate and lazy days on the couch, Netflix binging and a pack of cigarettes. She’s everything I can’t have and shouldn’t want- an unhealthy temptation that can ruin everything.”
Not fitting into each other’s lives, they’re both wrong for each other and they know it. But attraction has “nothing to do with logic” it is electric currents sizzling and fraught with tension, ready to ignite at the slightest touch.
The two give into their baser needs and discover a union a volcano couldn’t match.
“I was wrong. She’s not chocolate and Netflix. She’s heroin, and I’m dying for a hit.”
As she becomes his obsession, Marcus realizes she has the power to ruin everything. He runs scared.
Already out of her comfort zone, Marcus’ hot and cold behavior causes Emma to shut him out.
“I let him have a third degree burn on my heart.”
Giving the power and control of your heart to another is the greatest risk of all. Will these two decide to take a chance? Will their differences be too great?
This story ends in a cliff hanger and I can’t wait to find out if they’ll take a risk on each other!
I read an ARC of this book. My fair and honest review is voluntary.
I really liked this book…. for the most part. Both main characters were great. I loved Emma and how quirky she was and Marcus….. he has issues but I know deep down he isn’t a bad guy. There was humour and steam that kept me from putting it down until the end. Oh the end…. I’m not to happy to learn it’s a cliffhanger. I try not to read them and this one gave me no indication that it would end like that. It wasn’t a bad ending, just one that I didn’t expect. I plan to read the next because I feel like there is just too much that needs answered. So fingers crossed that it comes quickly and doesn’t end in another cliffhanger. Even with the ending the book sucked me in with everything. 4 stars #2OCCJD
4 Brilliant Stars!!
Authors Anna Zaires and Dima Zales are my top favorites in this amazang book world. They managed to write, and take us in wildly different worlds with so much ease. From Dark Romance to Sci-Fi to Suspenseful Romance, and now Romantic Comedy, and time and time again their work proves why they still are and always will be my top favorites!!
Marcus and Emma’s is one of the most intriguing journeys I have follow this year, and I liked it!! Nope, I simply loved it, because even though that type of girl is hard to find now days, they do exist (besides, based on personal experiences, I know that not one is immune to horrendous or good things happening to anyone in this world we live in).
Can’t wait to see where this couple takes us next. February can’t come soon enough!!
OMG!!!
What an amazing story! I have a biggest book hangover after reading this delicious story! Can’t wait to read the rest!
I had to sit on this story, and actually read it again because it simply blew me away! I love the chemistry between Marcus and Emma. It starts with a simple case of mistaken identity from both sides, but sparks immediately fly and Marcus is simply caught up in it all. He can’t seem to help himself when it comes to Emma, and he does things he’s never done in his self-controlled life. It adds so much to the story for me and I’m anticipating the next part of the story. I’m completely in love with Marcus and Emma!
I’ve been a huge fan since Mia & Korum and this story does not disappoint! Seriously could not put it down and extremely impatient for book 2, lol.
