It is not a typical romance with a happy ending, it is also part of a series and the books are not stand alone.
This was also the best book I have read. I read the other in the series and they were superlativwe
With a setting painted by words and characters that grab onto your heart, Walks the Fire is a book you’ll want to read over and over again. A beautiful story of faith, hope, and love that will haunt you long after the last page is read.
I loved this book and didn’t want it to end.
Couldn’t put it down. Read the whole series. Wished it had an audio version so my husband & I could have listened together!
Increíble!!
I just really enjoyed this book and the setting it was in. I especially enjoy books about the years gone by or historical.
The story was unpredictable it kept my interest. I couldn’t guess what was going to happen next.
This is the best book by Stephanie Grace Whitson! This is the first in the series and the rest of the series area also a 5 star rating.
A great read!
Loved it. Have read and reread numerous times. It’s a “feel good” book that makes you think you knew the characters personally. Written by one of my favorite authors.
Excellent book. God inspired.
This was a good read, but about two chapters too long.
I really enjoyed this story and was glad to see that the usual unneeded sex and violence was left out.
This was a wonder-full book. A young white woman heads west in a wagon train. She loses her toddler son to a fall and her husband to a buffalo stampede and is rescued by Rides The Wind, a Lakota Sioux warrior, who ends up loving her deeply. She makes a huge contribution to her tribe, saving a toddler boy as Walks the Fire. I learned so much about the Lakota indians and their ways of living. This book was fascinating, a real page-turner. Through a life of many ups-and-downs, Walks the Fire survives and thrives. The God of the Bible walks with her all the way.
I COULD NOT PUT THIS BOOK DOWN. tHANK YOU FOR FEATURING IT.
Love the historical books from this time period. Learn a lot, but at the same time got sucked into the lives of the characters. Actually ended up reading the whole series and was sorry to say goodbye to the characters.
Loved this book & want to read the rest of the series.
Enjoyed the book very much learning about life of a white in an Indian environment.
It was seldom easy to figure out “what lies ahead.”
