I loved this book. I laughed, cried, and enjoyed the characters.
In many cases, this is too true. I liked the minister wife keeping peace at first but letting loose at the end,
An easy read that was very entertaining!
Excellent characterizations. Really felt as I knew the main characters. Story flowed and the book was a fairly quick read.
Really good story. The red shoes brought in some whimsy. Enjoyable read.
Heartwarming
It was a fun easy read.
This is probably the best book I have read in awhile. It deals with real life problems of life and especially of church service. But while the problems serious and authentic, there are many zany characters and comedic moments. Ultimately this is a story of real people living messy, Christian lives, and finding that God does show up, even when they are filled with doubt.
A great book! Enjoyed reading the thoughts of the Pastors wife. She sacrificed wearing certain things to keep others from saying things about her.
loved the characters
Enjoyed it. Different.
It was a good book. There were some sad parts which made the story line believable. The book did need a proof reader and that almost kept me from giving it 4 stars.
The author wove heavy, important topics with humor. I often was rereading lines to gain full impact of her well-chosen words. I was so drawn to the characters and the themes of their lives, I’ve purchased the other two books in the series.
Very good read, hard to put down.
A good book, I really enjoyed it.
I work for a church. Characters are real! Fun and real emotions!
