I died. I fu*&ing died, and when I woke up in a Los Angeles hospital my best friend walked away from me. It wasn’t quite the welcoming back to the world of the living I thought I’d receive, and it rattled me. After an overdose, Henley Hendrix retreats to Georgia to chase sobriety and get her life together. To do that, she’s got to keep her distance from Jagger and company. But when an old … But when an old friend pops back into her life, a private moment is leaked to the world, and someone she never thought would walk away from her does exactly that.
She’s got to deal with rejection, a stalker, her return to the rock world for a promotional tour, jungle peepers, a riot of fans, a 1% motorcycle club, a one-eyed teddy bear, and two men fighting over her.
Just when she’s figured out how to finally be the best version of “Henley” she can be and how to stay healthy, her world is turned upside down again when her eyes are opened to something she never expected.
This book is not a stand-alone novel. Books 1 and 2 in the Guitar Face Series should be read first. If you are looking for a story of redemption with comic relief and a heavy sexual tone, you’ve found it. If you are offended by hot, tattooed rock stars, who are vulgar then this is not the book for you. Please be warned, this book is not for anyone below the age of 18. The book has sex, death, violence, and harsh language.

After devouring Guitar Face & AIn’t No Crying in Rock & Roll – I could not wait for the third installment – Received and read it today – First thought I had is this is a journey that Henley must go through but let me tell you I sure as hell didn’t see it coming – I am sure the “clues”were there but hey – dense much? I am not going to give a synopsis but only a recommendation that if you are a Rock Romance Junkie – Get this Series – Like NOW – If you already been raked through the coals with the first 2 -You ain’t seen (read) nothing yet- Did I agree with where this went – HELL NO but
Sasha Marshall is an evil genius
5+ Stars!! This was exhausting!! That’s how I feel right now after just finishing Walking Back to Georgia. I had read Guitar Face & There’s No Crying in Rock & Roll earlier but I had to re-read them (which I glad I had a reason to read them again) before beginning this book which I have been excitedly waiting for. I’m not sure if the exhaustion is from reading nonstop for a couple of days to make it through all 3 books or if it’s because Sasha Marshall puts you through everything emotionally. I have had so many laugh out loud moments to doing the ugly cry many times as well.
It’s hard to say much about this book’s contents without giving some of the story away and I don’t want to spoil it for anyone because this truly is so worth your time to pick these 3 books up to read. I was such a fan of Henley and Jag and loved Kip with all of his antics. I didn’t really think that a guy like Kip who could make you laugh so much could also be such a turn on. I guess that’s where Ms. Marshall’s crazy writing skills come into play to make all of these people seem so real to you and make you feel so involved in the lives of all of the people in these books.
For anyone who had read the first two books in the Guitar Face series you know about the cliffhangers in these books and you definitely will not be disappointed…maybe a little surprised…in the path that you take in Walking Back to Georgia and if you haven’t had the chance to read this series from the beginning this is probably one of the best reads that I have come across and I am a huge rock romance fan. I will really feel a loss when this series is finished so I am glad to hear that there will be a book on Kip which I am already impatiently waiting for. At least it will give me another excuse to reread the 3 books before this one comes out. These are the only books that I have read again and have loved them just as much the second time through. With the way Sasha writes I am hoping for a book on each of the band members from both bands!! (I know, I just can’t get enough) Ms. Marshall has made me feel so invested in these peoples’ lives that I will think about these books for a long time to come. Best series ever!!
