I had never been called ma’am before, but it was endearing. He held out his large hand. I placed mine in his and immediately felt calluses. Yes, he was a cowboy. He helped me down off the table, putting his other hand on my waist. I immediately felt the warm rush of heat generate through my body. This cowboy had me feeling a bit flustered already. He was just so damn sexy.He grinned at me as he … He was just so damn sexy.
He grinned at me as he led me out onto the dance floor. That sideways grin was very devious and yet charming. I was intrigued.
Connor Dawson was not looking forward to helping his sister redecorate the Dawson ranch home.
He did not want to be in charge of this project. But he wasn’t expecting the interior designer to light a fire in him that he could not put out.
Lydia Myers was looking for a project that would break her out of the monotony of decorating business offices in the city, so when she got a call to do a country home, her excitement escalated. But she wasn’t prepared to work alongside such a frustratingly handsome cowboy.
If only her past would let her enjoy her future.

A fantastic, heartwarming story about the importance of family and love. The Dawson family is bank in this new novel from Ali Parker. Connor Dawson is tired of meaningless hookups and wants something more but is unsure of what until he meets Lydia Meyers. Lydia is an interior designer who dreams of opening her own business and redesigning more than just office spaces. She wants to settle down but thinks he can only achieve that with an older man until Connor Dawson invades her every thought after one unexpected, stolen kiss. Follow these two as they try to figure out what they want out of life together. Walk The Line was filled with doubts, heartache, family, flirtatious banter, wit, laughter, and love. Readers will fall in love with the Dawson clan all over again in this new novel. A captivating must read, readers will fall in love with and won’t want to put down.

Well written story with nice storyline and plot. Likeable characters who develops nicely and are well defined.
I like it is written in dual POV because that gives the reader more of the thoughts and feelings of the characters. A mix of romance, steam, secrets, denial and twists. A captivating and entertaining read. Sweet, emotional and enjoyable story. I like the banter and play have between them. It makes it fun and entertaining to read.
Absolutely a story that I will recommend to others.
This is another good story in the “Dawson Brothers” series! It’s well written with some great characters! I love Connor and Lydia!! I love the chemistry these two have! Two determined people that cannot help but end up together. I really enjoyed the twist, turns, ups and downs in this story.
The characters in the story are strongly passionate and endearing. Their start is rough, but they can’t deny the attraction that pulls them together. The author has done a good job detailing the storyline. I am voluntarily leaving my review of this ARC.
This was my least favorite from all Dawson brothers stories. I just didn’t feel connection between Connor and Lydia. Everything between them felt kind of forced. Also, I didn’t even enjoy the banter between Connor and his brothers and sister. That too felt kind of unnatural and stilted. Hopefully next one will be better since I usually enjoy the books in this series.

Connor Dawson is all about family, and he is charged with helping his sister with a budget to update the interior of their family home. Connor is surprised when the interior designer his sister hired is the same woman who slapped his face when he tried to steal a kiss while dancing with her a few nights earlier. Lydia Myers is an interior designer at Patton Designs with her best friend, but she wants to start up her own interior design company. When Lydia sees Connor again, she plans to pass on designing the Dawson house, but she can’t stop thinking about Connor. Connor and Lydia are attracted to each other, and their chemistry is scorching hot. Can Connor prove to Lydia that he isn’t the man his reputation says he is? Can Lydia overcome past hurts and see Connor for the man he is? Will Conner’s younger brother’s arrest come between Connor and Lydia? Can Lydia and Conner find their happily ever after? I really liked Walk the Line by Ali Parker. Walk the Line is a great story with lots of chemistry, family drama, and love. Love the Dawson family. I would definitely recommend Walk the Line by Ali Parker. I received an ARC of this story, and I am leaving my honest review.
Connor Dawson is the latest in the Dawson men to be ‘caught’ by a woman. The woman in question is Lydia and he meets her at a dance in Safety but he ends up getting his face slapped when he kisses her on the dance floor. Totally embarrassed and upset because he really was attracted to her. How can he get another chance with her as he doesn’t even know her name? But his little sister comes to his rescue without realising it. She persuades their dad that they need the kitchen, lounge and dining room updating and he agrees as long as Connor keeps a check on the budget. She invites a designer to help and guess who it turns out to be! Yes, that’s right – it’s Lydia and oh boy is Connor happy [but he doesn’t let on that they’ve met before]. The attraction between Lydia and Connor continues to grow and when he discovers that she really is a country girl their attraction deepens. But there is trouble on the horizon. Will they still get their HEA? This is a real page turner by Ali Parker that is so well written with delicious characters that are so likeable and realistic. This is book 6 in The Dawson Brothers Series and it just gets better with each book. You can certainly read this as a standalone but is far better read as a part of the series in order. A great series and I look forward with anticipation for the next in the series. I received a reader’s copy of the book and voluntarily leave my honest opinion of it here. Most Definitely Recommended
Connor and Lydia didn’t hit it off when they first met, but Connor didn’t give up . They are total opposites but they have intense chemistry that sizzles between them and that is impossible to ignore. Well written storyline full of details. Several LOL moments. Some surprises in the storyline that kept the book exciting. I loved every page and definitely recommend reading this book
One heck of an amazing read that is a non-stop bundle of suspense! The nail-biting storyline will keep you on edge with anticipation for making the perfect choice and a great HEA! Emotionally engrossing, witty, exciting and enjoyable! Lip-biting hot chemistry! An amazing bad boy must read that will have you rooting for Mr. Right to take a hike!

Conner Dawson and Lydia have good chemistry which shines throughout this great story, Lydia is back in town when she goes to a dance that Conner and his brothers are attending and letting their hair down meet and have a bit of fun.
Enjoyable read from beginning to end.

On a bet Connor makes his way over to a woman for a dance but is caught off guard by an old flame. When he finally makes it over to Lydia she brushes him off, talk about ways to meet women! But Connor doesn’t give up and Lydia does have a thing for the cowboy. Will this turn into the romance of a lifetime for the two? This is a story that grabs you and draws you in as you read on about Connor and Lydia’s path to happily ever after. I voluntarily agreed to receive an ARC of this book for an honest review.
AMAZING!
READ this incredible read you will not be disappointed! A beautifully written read that brings out all the emotions! A nice flow of unexpected twists and page turning suspense. Exciting hot chemistry. A fantastic must read that will leave you breathless and grinning ear to ear!
These books keep getting better and better. Connor is the one in this book and he finds that love will make him happy and finally feel what his cousins feel. He is this sweet cowboy who falls for the designer Lydia. They have a few rough patches but in the end it all works out. I can’t wait until the rest get a story. This series is so good and it’s a must read. I give it 5 stars. I voluntarily read and reviewed this book as an Advanced Reader’s Copy.
What woman can resist a bad boy that grows up to be a good man? Connor Dawson has sown his fair share of wild oats in his youth, but he doesn’t want to be remembered as that reckless hot-headed kid anymore. A dance, a kiss, and a slap across the face suggest that maybe he hasn’t grown up as much as he thought. I loved that we got to see a softer side of the Dawson family in this book. Especially that we got the chance to know Abi a little bit better too. Lydia has so many hidden depths and she keeps Connor on his toes. I wasn’t a fan of how she holds the family’s reputation against him, but I get that small towns have long memories and can cherish grudges like gold. I can’t wait to see the rest of this family find their happy ever afters.
I received a complimentary advanced copy of this book from the author.
I have enjoyed the bad boy ways of each of the Dawson Brothers . I love the Dawson family they are good people.
Connor and Lydia’s story was full of laughs , heartbreaks and a whole lot of drama .I just wasn’t to sure that I liked them as a couple , maybe it’s because of how long it took them to be together .
This is book six in The Dawson Brothers series and was well written. Connor Dawson has a lot of responsibility on the family ranch. He agrees to go out to the local dance hall with his brothers and sister. Lydia Myers works at Patton Designs an interior design company. She goes to the small town of Safety, TX with her best friend. Connor and Lydia meet at the dance hall but something happens. Wonderful characters and it was great getting another glimpse into the Dawson family. I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.
A funny, engaging book to read!!
The Dawson Brothers series is filled with brotherly love and will give you some laughs! The love that hits Connor and Lydia was no exception – their story was interesting and kept me engaged! I always enjoy a story that has a strong family element and this one has that in spades! Also, who doesn’t love a true cowboy?! I am not giving this 5 stars because I like a little more suspense and twists to my stories. This, to me, is a GREAT easy read! Although I received this as an ARC, all opinions are my own.
Sexy cowboy
The Dawson brothers have a reputation for being bad boys and always getting into fights and trouble. Connor is a little older now but he has grown wiser and doesn’t go looking for any trouble. One night after a long day working the ranch, the brothers decide to go to the dance hall, where Connor spots the most beautiful woman he’s ever laid eyes on. His brothers all hedge bets against him and he decides to prove them wrong. However, when he gets her to dance with him she does, but he goes a step further and kisses her….which ends with a slap….a well deserved slap.
Lydia can’t believe the nerve of the cowboy kissing her, but she can’t get him out of her mind either. When they meet again, they are both a bundle of nerves and chemistry. She’s not sure how she will be professional and redecorate their farm house and stay away from the sexy cowboy
A great story and I hope Wyatt or Abi’s story is next
