Bestselling author Lisa Suzanne’s newest standalone romantic comedy features rock stars, a best friend’s older brother, and an accidental Vegas wedding.I’ve never seen Emily Clarke as anything more than my little sister’s best friend. One drunken mistake later, she’s my wife.My first thought is how to get out of this, except our wedding video has gone viral and record sales are skyrocketing. My … and record sales are skyrocketing. My manager thinks following the newlyweds on the second season of my band’s reality show will keep up the momentum.
I just have to get Emily to agree to faking this marriage for six months, and then we can quietly divorce.
Right?
Wrong.
Nothing is quite that simple when feelings blur the line between a contract and reality.
I ended up with more than just a hangover when I found myself waking up married.

I fell in love with Adam right away. Emily is so prefect for him in every way. These 2 characters really made this beautiful story come to life on each page. The 2 different POVs made for a easy flow and easy read story. I loved everything about it. So different from the other stories this one takes the top of the cake. MUST READ!!!
This book shows that life is truly unpredictable & you never know what will happen or how everything will turn out, but everything happens for a reason! I truly fell in love with this book! The epilogue is always my favorite partLisa Suzanne because I feel all the feels & see how far these wonderful characters have come! I never wanted this book to end! Your person, the one you’re meant to be with, can be right in front of you the whole time, it’s all in the timing!! I loved Adam & Emily’s story!! Adam is such an incredible guy & total book husband material! This was one of my favorite reads of 2019/2020! If you love rockstars, Rom Coms, Fake marriage & A Best Friend’s older brother romance, Than this is the book for you!! I highly recommend this story!
I liked this book, but only because of Adam, Emily kind of got on my nerves lol. I’m not exactly sure what was so great about her that Adam was all up in lurve with her. I thought she was chock full of insecurities and indecisions, especially when it comes to whatever is happening with Adam.
I loved this story between Emily and Adam. What started out as marketing turned out quite differently.
Do you love a good rock star romance? What about a rom com with a best friend’s brother to lover romance? Or an accidental marriage?? What about all of the above?? If this appeals to you, then you will love this book! It’s no secret that no one does rock star romances like Lisa Suzanne and she’s done it again! You get to visit the world of MFB as you read about Adam who isn’t your typical rock star. You see, Adam really wants a relationship and not a one night stand. In Vegas, he meets up with Emily, his sister’s best friend and something clicks! They always say “What happens in Vegas , stays in Vegas.” Read the book, Waking Up Married, to find out that after a night of heavy drinking, Adam and Emily find out that saying isn’t always right! After an unforgettable moment when they realize their accidental marriage, the two agree to stay in the fake marriage for the benefit of the band. But . . . Is their fake marriage really fake? Or are they in denial? Read to find out!
Told in a dual POV, this book can be read as a standalone even if you haven’t been introduced to the world of MFB. It’s always nice to have a visit from Vail too!!
Wow, I loved this book! Adam and Emily were meant for each other! I love that he was a rockstar with morals and the way they end up is so funny and could literally happen to anyone who has been to Vegas. Having the rest of MFB and the Vail crew is an added bonus. I literally wanted to kick Bree’s butt though!

Waking Up Married by Lisa Suzanne is one of those books that you just want to swoon over. It has all the staples: best-friends-older-brother, Rockstars, cheating exes, vegas, drinking and waking up married!!! With all that what could possibly go wrong? Oh So much, that I’m not giving anything away.
Lisa does and an amazing job with this story. From the first page to the last I was hooked and brought into their world with them. Her writing is so smooth that you just zip right through the pages.
Emily joins her best friend for a weekend in Vegas to get over an ex. There’s no better way of getting over him than to see her favorite rock group who also happens to star her best friend’s older brother who she has had a crush on since they were kids. But what happens in Vegas doesn’t always stay in Vegas.
We are taken on a bit of an emotional journey for Emily and Adam throughout their story. Past meeting future. simple life verse rockstar life and so much more.
I love how we get to see the rest of the band and the happenings surrounding them. To me, those little details just pull this story together.
Emily Clarke has had a crush on Adam since she was a teenager, but he never saw her as anything but his sister’s best friend.
When Emily breaks up after finding out she’s being cheated on, she leaves for a weekend in Las Vegas with her best friend to watch an MFB show. When she meets Adam, old feelings resurface. But neither expected the next morning to wake up in the same bed, naked and married!
After a wedding video goes viral, they decide to pretend for six months that the marriage is real, but over time, they find that the feelings are really true.
But when Adam’s ex-girlfriend Bree appears to disrupt the couple’s happiness, will the feelings that arose between them be able to hold them together?
I loved the story, the characters and being able to see again the characters from other books. I highly recommend the reading.
This was my first book by this author and I am impressed. I really enjoyed this book. The story and characters are well developed. There are secondary characters that are also interesting and well developed, and I am finding that several have their own books.
Adam is a rock star, the big brother of Emily’s best friend, and a good guy underneath the fame. Emily is a normal girl who has crushed on Adam since long before he was famous. When Adam finally sees Emily as a grown woman, everything happens very quickly. I appreciated how their wedding story was pieced together. I loved that the reader gets a solid picture of how cameras and mics for the reality TV series impacted their budding relationship. I also really liked that they had struggles but they felt real and not contrived for dramatic effect in the story.
If you love a good rock star romance, you will love this book.
I love the MFB world. Adam and Emily are fun.
A rock star who doesn’t want one night stands and instead wants something real-not a normal concept. However Lisa makes it work for Adam.
Emily has been in love with Adam since forever.
One wild drunken night in Vegas and life is forever changed.
I couldn’t get enough of Adam and Emily and of course some past friends make an appearance which always makes me happy!
I loved this book so freaking much. Lisa Suzanne is my number one for rock star romances. She just makes them so approachable and attainable, while still showing they’re clearly rock stars and I love that so much.
This book is sweet and sexy and I loved every second of it. I’m a huge sucker for a married in Vegas story and this one was definitely perfect. Also, fake marriage? You’re just adding all my favorite tropes and making them all work great together.
Adam and Emily have known each other for a long time, Emily has always had a crush on Adam. But, until now, Adam’s only seen her as his little sister’s best friend. Once in Vegas, they finally see each other and things go too far too fast as they tend to do when Vegas and alcohol are involved.
I absolutely loved that Adam was always willing to talk to Emily. Sometimes he was afraid and sometimes he needed an extra push, but he definitely always made sure that misunderstandings didn’t stand in their way for too long. There was plenty of misunderstandings and miscommunications but they never had a chance to ruin their progress or ruin their relationship and that’s about as much of that as I like. I like a bit of drama, but I don’t like it to feel like it’s setting the progress back and I think this was done so well in this book.
Adam is an absolute sweetheart and I loved seeing him make a real effort to show Emily he cared for her. I loved watching both of them develop real feelings for each other in the progress of going through their fake relationship.
I love MFB and I can’t wait to see more from them!!
Waking Up Married is a fun romantic comedy by author Lisa Suzanne. In this captivating story, we meet Adam, rockstar guitar player for the famous band MFB, and Emily, long time best friend of Adam’s younger sister, Amber. Emily has had a major crush on Adam for years, but Adam only thought of her as his little sister’s best friend. Adam is a relationship kind of guy and was with Bree until she decided she wanted him to choose her over MFB. Emily was with Chad until a surprise ended their relationship. To cheer up Emily, Amber invites her to take a road trip to Las Vegas to see MFB perform. It’s a wild ride from there and one that includes interesting twists. This is a book that will keep you engaged to the very end.
Amazing heartfelt romantic rockstar romance! Highly recommend!
4.5 Sweet Stars!
I don’t think they can get much sweeter than Adam, for real He has a way about him that you can’t help but to fall for. And I freakin’ loved the adorkable Emily, she had a way about her that made her feel relatable. This one delivered the perfect mix of fun, angst and sweetness. Best Friends Older Brother, Childhood Crush, Rockstars and Vegas ~ how could you go wrong?
The MFB Boys are AWESOME – I love their connection with each other and the significant others. This little family has secured a place in my heart, they are a group of well written characters that draw you in.
So Rascal next?!?!
Vegas win!! MFB Bonus for those of us who have read prior books by this author and followed the band! For those new-welcome and read the other books to find out about the band and it’s members who make an appearance in this book. This story is about Adam (a MFB member) and Emily, BF to Adam’s sister and told in dual POV. Both are relationship people and don’t do the one night stands so to Wake up Married in Vegas is pretty funny, but what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas isn’t always true. Social media has gone viral before they even put all details together. Why they work on finding ways to get out of this marriage, what transpired since the night before and if the deed was done or not it seems that this marriage is a good thing for the band. So..contract in place for an upcoming reality follow-up just may mean Emily is going to be married a little longer, but with this lines are becoming blurred. Is what Adam is doing for the cameras or for real? That is the question, but you must read the book to find out. HaHa.
You will feel the emotions and pull they each experience during this trip and during the reality show and you will see what the secondary characters saw that they didn’t at first. Will they stay married or divorce once the show is done? All I can say is…you will not be disappointed on the outcome and inquiring minds wants to know about the shaved head on the final band mate who doesn’t have a story yet!
Waking Up Married is a great story, with likeable characters. It has so many troupes I enjoy, secret crush, best friend older brother, rockstar life, comical, and so much more more. I liked seeing some of my favorite past characters too.
Adam and Emily with a little bit of Rascal thrown in! Lisa takes us back to the guys of MFB and this book does not disappoint.
Emily has had a huge crush on her BFFs older brother, Adam since she was young. After a crazy night in Vegas, they end up married. Question is how do you move forward from that?!
I love how Lisa always incorporates other book characters into each book. We get a brief visit from the guys of VAIL. We also get caught up with the other MFB guys.
I enjoyed every part of this story! Adam is a member of a famous rock band. Emily is his little sister’s best friend. One drunken night in Vegas and they end up married. Their story was filled with so much emotion from both of them. Appearances of characters from prior books made this one even more special. It was a great story of finding happiness where you least expected it.
A great story!
This is a story of Emily finding out her boyfriend cheated so she goes with her best friend Amber to Vegas for a girls weekend. While there they will see Adam Ambers older brother who’s in a rock band perform. Afterward they go out drinking and the next morning Adan and Emily wake up together married! She’d had a crush on him but this shocks her. They want to divorce but his manager thinks they should stay together for their reality show. As they have to,stay together they find they have a lot in common and feelings change. Will they stay together after the six months they planned on? I voluntarily reviewed an Advanced Reader Copy of this book.
I had so much fun with this story, and I cried a little too.
What I liked the most is that Adam is not your typical rock star, partying and having one night stands. And it was a relief, I’m so tired of that kind of characters. And Emily was just perfect, genuine and lovable. And the secondary characters are the perfect complement to their story.
I won’t say anything else because I don’t want to spoil it. Just that it was a well written story that made me fall in love.
