It’s a good read, but stopped to soon. I was really getting into the story when it ended. The storyline is fantastic, the characters are brilliant and the world building is amazing! I forward to reading the next book, because this one was cut off to soon for my liking. Because you get sucked in and want to know everything!
Overall rating: 4.8
This fast paced novella sets up a storyline full of mystery and intrigue. Oppression surrounds the main character, yet in spite of it, fate leads her towards a destiny unimagined. Brilliantly written, these pages fly by as each facet of this journey ignites with life. At the crescendo, the reader is left panting for the next installment. Beware readers who have allergies to cliffhangers! Happily I am not one of them. All of my reviews are always voluntarily written.

After humans lost in the war with the elves, they were considered slaves. Ava lived in the worst part of town and she just knew if she could get over the wall the secluded them from the outside, there had to be a better life. Weighing her options, she knew she could also die in the process. K.N. Lee created a world of fantasy and adventure with characters you will either love or love to hate. Fast moving with room for characters and plot to continue to grow, this ends in a cliffhanger, leaving you wanting more. I’m interested in seeing where this one goes.
Compelling & Action-packed. K.N. Lee gives dystopian and fantasy readers an intriguing new world, which reflects on many of today’s troubling issues. This fast-paced series opener hits the ground running, and doesn’t stop as you find yourself wanting for more.
Hooked right away
This book was uninteresting. I just couldn’t get excited about it. Lost interest and didn’t get too far.
Ava is a human, living in a world where humans are the lowest race and practically slaves to the Sun Elves and, on top of that, she’s different from humans… She has something inside her, something she doesn’t know nor understand… How is possible that Xander, a Sun Elf Prince knows her better than she does herself?… What will she discover under the apprenticeship with Ocura Maga???…. Can’t wait for the next book!!!
