Wake had lived in fear for far too long.Life hadn’t been easy for him. Every day he resisted his natural instincts to claim the one female meant for him. An event from his past stopped him in his tracks every time his primal urges pushed him toward her.Paige accepted the role she played in Wake’s life. She was the one he wanted but never allowed himself to have. But when someone else showed … have. But when someone else showed interest in her, Wake had to decide once and for all.
Putting his heart on the line left the shifter vulnerable, something he never wanted to be again. And just when he gave in to his instincts, fate dealt the pair a cruel hand.
Nightmares came true, causing Paige to flee to the only place she felt safe—in the arms of Wake.
Pack life wasn’t an easy life, but Paige wouldn’t give up the man who held her heart.
Only together could the two move forward and find the happiness they both deserved.

The interesting characters and the great storyline grabbed my attention from the very first page and wouldn’t let me go until I finished reading the very last page! I always look forward to reading more from this author!
Man my heart broke for this couple. I tested up a couple times when Wake kept pushing Paige away. I just wanted to smack him so hard but he finally woke up. I’m glad they finally got their HEA.
When I first met Wake from The Ariane Trilogy, I was intrigued by his character and was hoping he would get his own book one day. Luckily, I didn’t have to wait long for that to happen. Wake has an interesting and slightly complex personality. He battles with his struggle to believe if what he feels for Paige is real, due to past events that caused him to have many self-doubts about himself. He’s plagued with nightmares and fears from his past, that also hinder him from admitting and claiming Paige as his mate. Paige on the other hand, is confident for what she feels for Wake and goes back and forth on how to make Wake come to this conclusion as well. I absolutely love Paige and appreciate the fact that she’s a heroine that’s not only strong, funny and caring, but is also very easily liked. This book is an emotional roller coaster ride between these two, but one that’s definitely worth checking out.
Plus, I got to see more of the other characters that I fell in love with during Ariane and Orion’s story. Ford and Solomon are just spectacular in their own right and even Kylest makes an appearance as well. Yay! They provide some much needed laughs and comic relief when things get a bit emotional.
I loved this book and highly recommend reading it. Even though you don’t have to read The Ariane Trilogy first in order to enjoy this book, I would strongly suggest you do. You’ll get a better feel for Ford, Solomon and some of the other fantastic character’s personalities and relationships that they have with one another from this series.
A phenomenal read!! It is beautifully written with a well-developed, consistent, and engaging plot. The storyline is action-packed, intriguing, and emotionally deep. The humour, witty banter, and good friends make this an even more enjoyable read. The characters are strong, deep, and loveable; the chemistry between them is off the charts and undeniable. It is a very exciting read and comes highly recommended. I look forward to reading the next book in the series.

Emotionally thrilling, highly entertaining and action packed journey filled with longing, denial, heart pounding moments and gripping undeniable passion….. a highly entertaining adventure from beginning to end and had me excited for this magical shifter world.
After I read the first three books in this series I hoped that the author would branch off to the other characters in the book. Wake was one I was hoping for. He had hard time in the first three books that I just wanted to see something good for him. Paige is Ariane’s best friend. You couldn’t have picked a better pair. In this book we still get to visit with all the characters in the first three books, but its all Wake and Paiges story. I have to say that the vampires are the funniest people in this series and cant wait for Ford and Solomon story. Must Read!!
Omg!!! Yes, ever since I read The Ariana Trilogy I wanted more stories about some of these characters. And I finally got them and I absolutely loved it!!! I am an absolute freak when it comes to paranormal and it used to be all I would read especially for a couple years. And Michelle is doing an amazing job at writing this other world of creatures and taking you on an amazing journey into your imagination. If you like paranormal and/or love Lydsay Sands or Larissa Iona you will love Michelle Dare’s paranormal and for me to say that is definitely very high praise!!! – By Tina
Wow. Paige and Wake have a roller coaster journey to go on in their love story. I really enjoyed the pack in this story. The strife they go through to establish an unity is epic only to make the sweetest outcome.

Paige bears the scars of the horrible night when she was kidnapped to get to her best friend. The biggest scar comes in the form of a tall brooding wolf. He refuses to give in to what they both want, what they need.
Wake is trying to protect everyone as best he can. After being accepted back into the pack, he never wants to be the reason to split his pack’s loyalty again. Keeping Paige at arm’s length is the only way he knows to make sure she’s protected.
This is the first book in the series, The Paranormals of Avynwod, which is a spinoff of the Ariane Trilogy. It can be read as a stand-alone, however, some details concerning these characters and this world will be missed. I was very excited to read this book as I loved the previous series and wanted to know more about the prodigal son.
The heroine in this book was able to move past her traumatic experiences though her heart was only beating for the hero. The hero is aloof and one of those guys you just want to fix. He is so broken you can’t help but fall for him.
I would highly recommend this book to any lover of paranormal romance and even those who aren’t found of it. The author does a great job of world-building and this book shouldn’t be missed.
This book grabs you from the jump and keeps you awake until you finish it! I loved every minute of the book and can’t wait until the next one.

How to word my feelings on this story. I am sitting here with the biggest smile on my face because this book was everything I was hoping for and more.
Michelle Dare has the art of making me feel every emotion in her stories and this book worked every one. Chapter 21 (yes the whole chapter) was a highlight of the book and perfectly illustrated the comraderie and affection of the characters. Thank you for that.
After the Airline trilogy, I am so glad we get more glimpses into the Aynwood pack and their friends. Paige and Wake are the perfect mates.
If you love reading about shapeshifters and vampires then this book is for you!
This is a wellwritten and fastpaced story that I enjoyed reading. I loved the storyline and the characters. Will definitely check out more books from this author.

OH my stars! Where to start with this one! Let me just say that you need to read the Ariane Chronicles to get the full effect of this book, however you can sorta read it as a standalone. With that being said, you do want to know what culminated to this point of Wake’s life. Oh and to toss out there, Ford is still mine. I don’t share well and this story just made him even more mine because of his wit and banter with everyone!
Shall we get to the fun stuff? The connection that Paige and Wake have is undeniable however, Wake does not want to have Paige endure his life. But how can you deny what the heart wants? There were times I really wanted to smack Wake for the pain he caused for Paige, though I understand where he is coming from. He is such a pained soul. My heart broke for him and Paige so much. Then when you have the twists and turns tossed in, my mind is racing to know more.
This series solidifies the fact that Dare has a talent for writing these types of stories. Wake’s Claim is just amazing as you are thrusted back into the world that Dare has created and it honestly makes you want to be a part of it. My heart raced, I wanted to laugh but scream at the same time. The fluidity and the depth of detail with not only the characters but the back story, makes you feel like you are living it and watching it. I am seriously counting down to my man’s story but trust me, Wake will make you swoon on every level as well!
This first in the Paranormals of Avynwood series is a spin-off of the Ariane Trilogy. This book can stand alone, but a reader would enjoy all the packs stories and gain so much insight from their history after indulging in Orion and Ariane’s books. Wake and Paige are fated to be mates and this is their journey to finally coming together. Wake is a member of the Avynwood pack that are not only wolf shifters but some have other magical gifts as well. They are friends with Fae and vampires, all of whom are a giant entertaining handful! This book is perfect for teen and young adult readers right on up to adults.
Wake is working on getting back in the right head space to live easily within his pack and claim Paige. He’s been through a terrible ordeal and has suffered mightily to get where he is currently. He doesn’t trust anything and it’s keeping him from his best life. Luckily he’s got the vampire brothers Ford and Solomon to keep him moving in the right direction, toward Paige and his pack.
We get a whole lot of mental conversations that are normal for shifters, some are hilarious. I found myself drifting a bit and wanting to get past some of the inner dialog and self flagellation from Wake. Once he made up his mind, oh boy did the story take off and keep me entertained. There is some danger and Paige’s fears coming true that have the pack all working together to keep her safe. I love all these characters and the way of pack life. I’m happy Paige and Wake got their HEA. That ending, Michelle, really?
First time reading any of Ms. Dare’s works and I can’t wait to read more. I saw that this is actually a off shoot from Ari & Orion’s series and they are in this one but more of Ari then Orion since Ari and Paige are closest BFF, like sisters. Wake is still torn up for a Pack War that must have happened in the other series so most times in this one his pushing, ignoring and dismissing Paige all the time breaking her heart more each time he pulls away. Then we got Paige ‘dating’ a old school buddy because since Wake wants her to move one, she’s trying while Wake ran off to Ford & Silas’s beach front property to calm down his wolf and himself. But when Paige was in a car accident, Wake started to see Paige as more but her can’t comment or claime her as his until days later when Silas and Paige are getting closer. Threats from a couple of men that were involved with the war show up to cause problems and to take Paige and to finish their nasty promise to her. Will Wake finally wolf up and get his woman or will the damage to his mind be the death of him and his mate???
First time in reading this author with still getting excitement when that happens. The story line and the fact he is a ex soldier is what got me to open this one. Jase is a interesting character whom has had alot of events in his life but he has now a place I would not of expected which is part of the interest. Heather is the part in this with that since they are in each others sights you get to see what happens to them. With a bit of heat to this it makes for warm reading with the emotional element also. So when the lie gets turned around this author will have you hooked for sure. Enjoyed from start to finish.
I enjoyed reading Wake and Paige story. I thought this story was amazing and heartfelt. I was hooked from the very beginning. It was well written and a great storyline. Wake’s claim is the first book in the Paranormals of Avywood Series. It a spin off of the Arlane Triogy.

i love this book.it will have you hooked from the very first page tell the very ending. this series is a amazing read that will take you on a ride of love and emional ride that will have you in love with every one in the story.
I absolutely enjoyed reading Wake’s & Paige’s story! It was so good. I was so happy the way it ended. I have to admit I want more of Kylest, Ford & Solomon!!! Would love to see their stories. Also with the way this story ended I am anxious to see what happens next with Wake & Paige new life together with precious… sorry no spoilers read to find out! Also Ari & Rion need to have that kind of blessing too. So wonderful. Highly recommend this story!
Wake oh my sweet Wake I have wanted you to be happy since I was first introduced to you in the The Ariane Trilogy, which you need to read. I will say again I don’t normally go for paranormal, shifters any thing paranormal its just not my thing. What is my thing is a story with characters that make you feel invested, I love these guys and how they love is breath taking to read about, it is in their DNA to give everything to their mate, and thats what all women want. Wake was so broken and depressed by past mistakes that he redifyied , he felt inadequate like he wasn’t good enough, he felt he didn’t deserve a mate or to be happy. His character was strong in his own way and by admitting that he felt lacking made me love him harder, it not something that always comes up in books, and this author rocked it.Paige was just feisty enough to not only handle Wake but she really fills his heart and head with more confidence. I love all the action not as much as the prior series but it did not need it. Loved all the bro love that was evident throughout the book. The entire family dynamics makes you wish you where a fly on the while. A well deserved ending for my Wake
