Wake had lived in fear for far too long.Life hadn’t been easy for him. Every day he resisted his natural instincts to claim the one female meant for him. An event from his past stopped him in his tracks every time his primal urges pushed him toward her.Paige accepted the role she played in Wake’s life. She was the one he wanted but never allowed himself to have. But when someone else showed … have. But when someone else showed interest in her, Wake had to decide once and for all.
Putting his heart on the line left the shifter vulnerable, something he never wanted to be again. And just when he gave in to his instincts, fate dealt the pair a cruel hand.
Nightmares came true, causing Paige to flee to the only place she felt safe—in the arms of Wake.
Pack life wasn’t an easy life, but Paige wouldn’t give up the man who held her heart.
Only together could the two move forward and find the happiness they both deserved.

Wake’s Claim by Michelle Dare is a wonderful shifter story that I have read. This is book number one in this wonderful start to a brand new series that I loved reading very much. I highly recommend this story to everyone who loves reading about shifters.

Wake’s Claim is the first book in the Paranormals of Avynwood series which to the addicts out there is the spin-off to The Ariane Trilogy. Let me start off by saying it isn’t required reading but GO BACK AND READ IT FIRST!!!!!!!
Sorry that came off wrong. Let me try again! Do not even think about picking up this book until after you devour The Ariane Trilogy. *Rolls eyes and buffs* Fine.
*coughs and mockingly says* It is not required. The author says so. BUT I SAY READ THEM FIRST! You will appreciate the characters, the relationships, and past drama so much more if you do!
Now back to our regularly scheduled program!
Wake’s Claim is all the feels, all the tension, and all the heat a YA novel can give. This shifter will make you want to shake him, strangle him, and have everyone you know crawl into bed with him. (Sorry inside joke!) But it’s not just Wake who will capture your heart, there are plenty more paranormals around to tease you and keep you interested. Vampires, shifters, and Fae oh my! With so many dreamy, sarcastic, and broody characters waiting for their turn, I hope Michelle Dare never stops writing. I long for a field trip to Avynwood. I would totally chaperone. Or even a book signing….
I have to get an in. I need to. Maybe Solomon will bring me around!?! A girl can only hope!
See what I gushing about. You will get caught up in the love, the snark, and feels of Avynwood quicker than Solomon can turn your words against you.
Reviewed for Sweet Spot Sisterhood
This was the first book I chose to read since subscribing to Kindle Unlimited and it did not disappoint. Such a good read. Solomon, Wake and Ford were definitely my favorite characters. I LOVED the dynamic between the three and Solomon was too funny. The attention to detail was amazing and didn’t leave me with any lingering confusion or questions as to how or what was happening. The author explained shifters, their world, previous events, characters relationships etc. in a way that was detailed but to the point. Nothing felt like it dragged on or was unnecessary. Would definitely recommend this to others who enjoy the paranormal world and looking for a fun, sweet, light hearted read. Definitely looking forward to reading more from Michelle Dare.
It is not often that a werewolf is portrayed as a geek lack self-confidence. I found that interesting enough to read the novel, but despite his very hunky magical friends and their impetuous ways, the story line turned out to be more predictable than expected.
Wake’s Claim (Paranormals of Avynwood Book 1)
Michelle Dare
Loved this book, from cover to cover! Could not put it down!

Wow! I loved Wake and Paige’s story! I also loved seeing all of the other Avynwood residence, and the Vampire Bro’s, oh, and let’s not forget Kylest! The story was amazing! I am so happy that Wake finally accepted love! The audio and Narrators for this audiobook were great! I cannot wait for more!
I had already read Wake’s Claim and then I had the opportunity to listen to the audiobook. I feel even deeper in love with Michelle Dare’s paranormal world. Wake’s audiobook is amazing, Troy Duran and Sarah L Colton do an amazing job bringing the story to life. I felt all the emotions, passion, and love in Ms. Dare’s words.
Wake fights his wolf, who knows Paige is his mate. He feels inadequate and self-conscious after being taken advantage of by another paranormal who put him under a spell causing his life to implode. Even though he loves and knows Paige is his. He just can’t bring himself to claim her but also can’t help guarding her every night. As the book progresses, Wake matures and realizes he cannot fight fate but fate may not always be kind in the paranormal world.
Paige loves Wake but feels hopeless about their situation. Trying to move on isn’t easy and as she moves through the story she becomes a much stronger woman than she appeared in the Ariane trilogy.
I am the first to say I’m not usually a paranormal reader but I love this world created by Michelle Dare. Her characters have become like old friends. Their relationships are all so close and intertwined the reader gets caught up on others in the world. I look forward to each and every book set in this paranormal world.
This is the first book in the Paranormals of Avynwood Series, a spin-off of the Ariane Trilogy. Unfortunately, I haven’t listened to this first Series, and I feel like I’m missing something. Otherwise, Wake and Paige’s story is interesting, and complex. The story has humans, shifters and vampires. The secondary characters are great. I like the Epilogue. Troy Duran and Sarah L. Colton did a great job with the narration. They both have a great voice, and their voices are great together. Now, I’m looking forward for the second book in the series, Ford’s Fate. #AudiobookObsession
At the beginning I was confused. There are many references to other horrible things that have happened to these characters mutuel times. Since I thought this was the first in the series I now have to wonder if it’s some type of spin off.
Upon getting to know Wake I am not sure why he isn’t claiming his mate. I thought that’s what all wolves waiting their whole life for? I really felt sorry for Paige. She wants him but he denies her so she tries to move on.
My favorite parts and character all include one guy….Solomon the Vamp. He cracked me up with all his crazy words. I loved his whole “best friend” thing he thinks he has going with Wake. This character was needed to lighten up the story.
Overall it’s a good story once I got past a few things. I really liked Soloman and Ford as my favorite characters. This is a first time author for me. The story was nicely done and the characters were sad, dark and a bit of fun. I did listen to this on audio and Troy Duran and Sarah L Colton did a wonderful job.
Wake’s Claim by Michelle Dare is a paranormal romance that I listened to on audio narrated by Troy Duran and Sarah L. Colton.
This is the first book of Michelle’s that I have read and it definitely won’t be my last. I liked this spin on the paranormal world. This is the first book in the Paranormals of Avynwood series but I feel like it would have been helpful to read The Ariane Trilogy first. Michelle does a great job of referencing previous events so it can be read as a standalone and a spin off series. I have already downloaded the first book Ashen Moon in the trilogy to dive deeper into this world she created.
Sarah and Troy did an amazing job on the narration. They really brought the story to life.

Wake’s Claim (Paranormals of Avynwood, Book 1) begins with a intriguing prologue that takes place three months earlier. I love the array of characters which include humans, shifters and vampires. Bountiful heap of history to give you awareness. Wake’s sprouting is panorama, as Paige is well equalized. The narrative had a creative spirit with a inner struggle. The writing style flows through smoothly with her character’s catch the eye with peaks and valleys. Angsty moments splashdown when fated mates due to circumstances, resist. Would love more, hoping book two is turned into a audio.
Troy Duran, Sarah L. Colton dual narration was just right. Inflection and tone flowed through smoothly. I absolutely love listening to Troy Duran’s deep baritone voice. Sarah L. Colton’s nectarous voice is intoxicating. A luscious listen taking you to a fantasy realm.

Wow. What a great listen. There is so much back story I this book that I believe this must be a spin-off from another series. I will definitely be looking into this and devouring that series as much as I did this book. Who would love a book that has a love so strong that no matter how you fight it, you will have to give in and find your perfect mate that was made for you. I will be looking for more of this series to come out in the future.
We are back with the wolf shifters and it is time for Wake and Paige’s story to be told. Wake is having a hard time adjusting after his time with Travis and Benedict. Will he be able to protect her? Come back and read the next story in this series and prepare for your heart to be torn asunder from the tragedies these two have to overcome to be with one another. I received this book as an ARC and am leaving a voluntary review.
*WARNING* contains adult situations
Wake is a wolf shifter with a troubled past. Someone messed with Wake’s senses to make him believe he found his mate, now he doesn’t trust himself.
Paige has known he was her mate since she found out about the paranormal world through her best friend. What Paige doesn’t understand is, why he doesn’t want her.
This has all the feels of a PNR. Shifters, Vampires, and Fae, oh my! I like that even a strong, handsome, powerful shifter can be filled with self doubt…
it’s kind of like the rich, popular kid not liking what he sees in the mirror.
I didn’t realize this was a spin off of something else until I was already reading it. I felt a little lost in a few place because I didn’t read the original trilogy. Mostly, I enjoyed this one!
Intriguing Shifter Romance!
Wake and Paige are fated to be mates but Wake’s insecurities stand in the way of their happiness. Wake finally accepted you can’t fight fate. Heartwarming characters and unique storyline full of emotions, suspense, drama, romance and great HEA. I look forward to reading more of the series. Enjoy!
I received an arc copy and am happy to leave my honest review.

The author has an amazing gift for writing these stories. The characters are so well written and relatable. Wake is wanting the love Paige offers but fights it the whole way. I enjoyed reading how Wake learns to be confident in his love and life.
I received an ARC for an honest review.
Wake Filled Stars!!!
Oh my goodness!! When I read The Ariana Trilogy I fell in love with both Wake and Paige and floved the idea of them being mated even more. Was super stoked to learn Michelle was starting this amazing paranormal world with their story.
The past few years haven’t been good to Wake. His father is the alpha to their pact. But, when a rival pacts alpha had Wake’s mind and emotions messed with his life was turned upside down. He was eventually thrown out of the pact and he joined the rivals pact. Needless to say fast forward and Wake’s back in his pack with his parents, fellow pack members. He’s even added his new best friend Ari, his cousin Orion’s mate and two best friends in the form of vampires.
Wake’s life should be back on track and him happy as can be. But, it’s far from that. Wake has finally found true mate and that’s Paige. But, Wake won’t let himself believe that it’s true. Wake’s afraid it’s another trap and it’s not true.
Whenever Wake looks into Paige’s eyes he can see the hurt he’s causing her by denying her what they both can feel and know it’s true.
Paige knows all about the paranormal world thanks to her best friend Ari. She loves Wake and watching him almost die almost killed her. Whenever they touch she feels the electric current that is proof they’re truly a match and it’s not something he’s been thought to think.
As much as Paige loves Wake she can’t handle constantly being rejected by him. When Ford and Solomon bring him to the outer banks until he gets his head straight, Paige decides she has to try to live her life without Wake.
When Paige gets into a car accident everything changes between her and Wake. Wake feels responsible bc he wasn’t there to protect her. Paige thinks somebody is after her and the pack. Every night Paige dreams of Wake.
These two are so miserable apart that they give in to their feelings. But, before they can give into their feelings and compete their mating process, a few people from Wake’s past returns. They aren’t here to congratulate them. The pack again is on high alert.
This book was on fire. I read it in a few hours that’s how good it was. To get inside Wake’s head and seeing how much pain he was still in over in previous actions. Which is why I 120% completely understood why he felt and was stand-offish.
I loved Paige in Ari’s corner and glad she was chosen as Wake’s mate. Reading this I’m more in love with her than before!!! For a human living in a paranormal world she’s pretty badass.
If you read The Ariane Trilogy and haven’t read this one yet DO IT!!! I loved Ford in the previous books. Didn’t think I could love him more but again I do. We get a different side of him. You’ll pee yourself from lol at him, Wake and Solomon. I’m excited his story’s next!!!
I’m so happy Wake’s story was finally told!! I was in love with him while reading Orion and Ari’s story, he was just a lost wolf that karma seemed to deal a bad hand to and I wanted for him to find happiness.
Wake and Paige have a history from The Ariane Trilogy. He was tricked into thinking someone was his mate and it was a mess which got him banned from his pack. Ari never gave up on him and wouldn’t let him give up on himself.
In this story, he knows Paige is his mate but he’s so afraid of what happened before that he continues to push Paige away from him. Paige believes he’s her mate, also but the way he continues pushing her away, she decides to move on. That kicks up Wake’s mind being cleared that she is the one for him!
There’s so much danger in their future, will they finally mate? I love Wake and his story, but oh my gosh, Ford and Solomon are the most hilarious vampires!! I hope they each get their own story!
