Is hate still hate if it’s built on a lie? From the author of ‘The Brides of Pecan Grove’ and ‘Fake Fiancee Fiasco,’ here comes another sweet romance you just don’t want to missMegan Brooks is as mean as she is beautiful. She’s sarcastic and judgmental, but no one else knows she makes elaborate soap in the shed she built in the backyard. Or that she uses people’s horoscopes to close business … Or that she uses people’s horoscopes to close business deals.

My first time reading Natasha Queen book. Let me just say “wow”, I was intrigued by how she can make Megan so bad but so good! And Nick being so great! I love the interaction of these characters and how they play out. How you feel at the beginning of the story to the end. Such a page turner!

Have the box of tissues handy for this lovely family-friendly tale of frenemies who meet again ten years later, which takes a day to read.

Nick needs a heroine for his latest bestseller. Well, that is if he can find someone complicated enough to mimic his imaginary heroine.
Complicated is not the word for Megan. Nope, Megan is far more than complicated. She’s complex, feisty and cold. At least that’s the way everyone in Pecan Grove sees her. And, so does Nick … sort of. You see, Megan is the one that got away. Yes, and that too was complicated.
Now, can Nick create Megan’s replica in the pages of his next bestseller and then find a way to have her jump out of those pages right into his real life arms?
Well as I said, it’s complicated. But that’s what makes a good story.

Waiting On Her, authored by Natasha Queen, tells the story of Nick and Megan who had been close friends since childhood until she surprisingly turned on him and broke his heart. When they meet again several years later, they are both successful and Nick decides to peal the layers from Megan and see why she is alone and without friends. When he pushes her to find her true self, it becomes obvious she had endured much as a child due to her mother who was also responsible for the breakup of their friendship.
This book is heartwarming, has well developed characters, an interesting and unusual plot, and a wonderful romance. I recommend this book.

Mean girl with a twist. She became mean to push everyone away not realizing how lonely she would become. She didn’t know how to be open or vulnerable, to never ever let her guard down until Nick gave her no choice. He invaded her personal space and forced her to open up. Some people thought he was mad to give her the chance to hurt him again, he didn’t care, he just wanted her to love him. Interesting plot, our childhood can influence our behavior as adults.
Waiting On Her is a friends/enemies to lovers story. Nick Brewster and Megan Brooks once friends but meddling family’s got in the way when they where younger now Ten years later can they fix what was once a great friendship. A great story, a real page turner. Romantic, and emotional tale. Absolutely loved this book loved Nick a geeky writer.
Meghan was the true definition of a Mean Girl. It was so wonderful to see how she came to realize that the only one she was hurting was herself and how she strived to correct that behavior and make amends.
Nick was an absolute sweetheart but he was no pushover either and the author was able to portray that perfectly. Love really must look beyond the superficial because Nick had absolutely no reason to like much less fall in love with Meghan!
You do not need to read the first book (The Fake Fiance) to enjoy this story but it does help to really understand just how many relationships Meghan had managed to destroy before she realized what she had become and decided to change.
Definitely a book to be read by everyone.

I received this ARC from the author on the condition that I write an honest review. I loved the characters of Nick and Megan with their contrasting personalities. They had been best friends as children, until the bitterness in Megan’s mother caused them to separate and this changed Megan’s personality. Nick had continued to secretly love her, even after she acted so hateful to him. They meet again as adults, and he makes a plan to get Megan’s friendship, and eventually her love back. They grow close again until Megan’s mother interfered in their relationship again. Nick knows that he cannot let this relationship go and plans a way to get Megan back. The story ends in a beautiful HEA with love conquering all obstacles. I enjoy the characters written by Ms Queen, they always are a strong female and male, who against the odds end in an HEA, with tons of romance.
Natasha Queen is a new to me author, but I’m glad I took the chance.
This book was very well written. A story you could totally immerse yourself in.
The characters of Megan and Nick were very relatable and Nick was such a sweetheart.
I love how this story developed and the message of looking beyond what people choose to show to the public… there might be more to it than we know.
Must read… and author I’ll be reading again

I loved Nick and Megan’s story! Despite her prickly self and his fear of public situations, they were able to find their happily ever after. Megan is definitely a piece of work, but she isn’t as bad as it appears. Luckily, Nick knows how to get past her insecurities. I especially enjoyed this book and I couldn’t put it down. I highly recommend it.
Good, sweet, clean romance. Slow start with much detail into the herione’s childhood. Necessary though so you could understand why she was such a horrible person. Even so, the hero still loved her.
I received an ARC for my honest review.
Cute, clean, short read.
The characters are real and down to earth. Megan n Nick are great together and for each other. His parents & siblings are loveable, supportive, n even empathic. While Megan’s mom Wendy is a very self centered “child”. I love the part Katie played, she so could’ve been totally the opposite.
I would like to have know more about Pru & Maddie, but was happy they spent time with Megan.
A very fun and interesting read! It was a second chance love story with some psychological insight into the main characters! Meghan has grown up in a harsh way and unfortunately it shaped her into the woman she now was. With some soul searching she is able to find the ways to fix herself and she navigates her world after her run in with the past! Really enjoyed this beautiful story!
I have to admit, I did not like the heroine, Megan for several chapters. For as awful as she was, the hero, Nick, was almost too good to be true, What was he doing giving someone like Megan the time of day? Nick and Megan had been best friends when they were younger. Then one day, Megan just up and ended
their friendship. She also turned into the girl that everyone hates; that is, everyone but Nick. He is somehow able to see the many layers that make up Megan and is determined to peel them back, one at a time, until the friend he knows is still there, shows herself.
I wanted to stop reading this book several times because I couldn’t get past Megan’s nastiness toward Nick; however, Natasha Queen’s writing kept me hooked. I am so glad that I did not put it down. Although it took some time, I finally did warm up to Megan and was able to see what Nick had seen all along.
While Megan may have take some getting used to, I liked Nick right from the start. I love the way he stood up to his family when it came to Megan yet he also showed them the loved and respect that his family deserved.
This may have been my first Natasha Queen book, but it definitely will not be my last.

Natasha Queen is a new author for me and I am glad to find her. I loved this book! What a complicated, mixed up mess Megan’s life has become. I loved it because that is life in the real world most of the time, complicated, messed up and totally redeemable. I loved the characters, the relationships, and how the whole book came together. I think you will enjoy this book, too!

I loved this book!!! At first I was skeptical about Megan but as I got to “know” her and saw why she acted the way she did, I came to really like her. Nick was different IMO not bad but different – I came to love him too – especially in regard to Megan. Her mom was UGH. It is so sad how what we are constantly told especially as children can really mold and warp how we see ourselves, others, and how we act. There were a few bumps but the ending was so good – amazing.

I had a bit of difficulty when I first started reading this story, because Megan was just SO mean and unlikable. However, as I got into the story, it was easy to see why she was the was she was; it was her protective mechanism to keep herself from being hurt. As the story went on and we got to see her childhood and teenage years, it because very clear why she developed that protection; her mother. That woman would make Mommy Dearest seem like an angel! The H, Nick, definitely had his work cut out for him, and I’m glad he was a patient man.

This is a friends to lovers romance and also a small town romance. It focuses on Nick Brewster and Megan Brooks. The chemistry between them is obvious from the get go. I read this in a day so its a short read.
I highly recommend this book if you like small town romances and enemies to lovers stories
