Is hate still hate if it’s built on a lie? From the author of ‘The Brides of Pecan Grove’ and ‘Fake Fiancee Fiasco,’ here comes another sweet romance you just don’t want to missMegan Brooks is as mean as she is beautiful. She’s sarcastic and judgmental, but no one else knows she makes elaborate soap in the shed she built in the backyard. Or that she uses people’s horoscopes to close business … Or that she uses people’s horoscopes to close business deals.
Nick Brewster is an introvert, a bestselling writer, and a man who’s never quite gotten over Megan Brooks. When he bumps into her after years apart, he jumps at the chance to make her his muse.
He should have known nothing with Megan would be easy. She’s irritating and mean but Nick has always known that underneath her smart mouth and prickly exterior, Megan Brooks has a heart of gold.
He just needs to make her see it.
Getting a second chance at love has never been sweeter in this small-town romance full of love, laughter, and family.

This book was such an amazing read with a well written storyline and characters that were so well developed that I was captivated from the very beginning! The interaction and chemistry between Megan and Nick kept me turning the pages until the very end!
The yearning hope of a second chance of love & a hea with the Ice Queen, would she melt?
Emotional on a level I felt deeply but I was also a tad frustrated at the heroine’s reluctance to have a second chance at love. I appreciated & also have an understanding of not having a loving mother but at least mine tried to provide, unlike the heroine’s. Could she open her closed heart sufficient to entertain the prospect of a future together? Flawlessly written & a great page turner. I received an arc & this is my honest & voluntary review.
A riveting story!
Megan was good friends with Nick until her mom decided she needed to train her how to become a pretty girl, around 12. Then she became unlikeable almost overnight. Wanting to please her mom, she did what her mother told her. But, later on, she was more and more miserable. Nick has become a famous writer and more reclusive than he probably should be, and runs across Megan at a coffee shop. He speaks with her, briefly, then lets her walk away. But it stirs his heart to the point he comes up with an idea that would maybe help him find a character for his new book that he is having trouble even beginning. This is a really good book, and it pulls you in quickly, and you discover a lot about both of them. Natasha has a unique style of writing, too. It’s definitely a book to read, and I will recommend to others!
This is my first book by Natasha Queen and I really enjoyed it. Meghan and Nick have known each other since they were kids and fell in love when they were kids but Meghan changed and made everyone her enemy including Nick. Now years later they back in the same town and old sparks start to fly but can Nick break her cold heart and find love again. Great characters and storyline, very well written but I wanted more, it falls a little flat in the end. I will read another book by this author .
Megan was awful in the last book trying to break up her ex-high school boyfriend Max and his fiance Katie. She was nasty to a lot of people, but this book exposes why she put up walls and was mean to everyone. Her mother is a manipulative selfish piece of work. Nick was Megan’s childhood friend and she was mean to him too, but he knew some of the truth about her home life. I could tell at the end of the last book that she didn’t want to live that way anymore and she wanted to change. This was a second chance at life and love romance. I thought it was cool that she made soap to relax and made good money on it. Nick’s friend Charlie and his newly discovered little daughter Grace are great and I hope Charlie finds love in a future book.
Megan Brooks is the most disliked woman in Pecan Grove. She’s sharp tongued and at times cruel. She knows that she deserves the town’s censure. She wants to be better. I was shocked when I discovered the reason for her actions. It wasn’t her fault. I couldn’t believe that her mother was such a narcissist. I was glad that Megan was trying so hard to be better person. I wanted her to find love. The perfect person is Nick Brewster. He’s always loved Megan. Even after she rejected him in high school and broke his heart. Now Nick is a famous author and Megan is his latest muse. They deserve to be together. I find that life in Pecan Grove is never dull. Megan has received a shock that has changed her life. I hope this news will make her happy. Natasha Queen has written a sweet romantic story that made me feel good. I enjoyed the characters, the dialogue and the setting. I’m looking forward to coming back to see what happens next.
I loved this clean romance. The characters were built very well and the plot was well developed. I love that they went from dating to enemies to dating. They never fell in love with anyone else. I was hooked from the very beginning. I loved it!
I received an advanced copy of this book, but I am voluntarily sharing my honest opinion.
The author has again brought us well written characters. Megan, Ice Queen, who knows that the residents of Pecan Grove gossip about her and Nick, successful author with writers’ block. They were once best friends but things change as you are growing up. They each have issues that need to be dealt with if they ever want to have a “happily ever after”.

Natasha has done it yet again. This story has so many feels to it this book. It keeps you wrapped up until the end.
Set in a small town in Texas there is so much chemistry between Nick and Megan. They where child hood friends who went their separate ways. Nick is an author who is having a bit of writers block. Megan has a corporate job and not may people like her. Nick how ever can see right through her. When they cross paths 10 years later that attraction is still there. Will there be an HEA?
The charters in this book are well written and have depth to them. Natasha has a way with writing her books that make you relate to the charters easily. This is a must read I didn’t want it to end.
I had a really hard time getting into this book mainly because Megan is totally nasty! I really did not like this person even though I understood her protective reaction to her horrid mother. Nick, was almost to accepting of Megan (knowing her past) and he was determined to move past her nastiness to find the old Megan beneath her distant impulses. I give him a lot of credit for putting up with everything she dished out and seeing something she could become. Given the amount of effort in doing so, I was also thinking just because someone was a beautiful person once before, doesn’t mean they are still that person, and I lost patience many times for Nick going through h*ll. Unfortunately, that influenced how I felt throughout the book, and this made it that this book was definitely not my favourite from this author.

This story was really interesting. Haven’t read the first book I was taken aback at how horrible the main character is and thought I was not going to enjoy it, but I did. I loved the story with Nick and Megan. Having history between them made up for a lot of her imperfections. He knew her before she became horrible and saw the good in her. Being able to bring that to the front and falling in love with her was just perfect! I loved Nick! Natasha Queen really makes the characters and Pecan Grove come to life. I’m looking forward to reading more about Pecan Grove and it’s residents:)

This story has so many twists that you will be unable to put it down until you finish it.
This author has written a great frenemies story of how two people can change their life if they really want to.
The characters are multifaceted and the plot is captivating.
Megan knows she’s alienated everyone around her. When she runs into Nick, who had loved her when they were kids, she knows she hurt him too. Nick is now a writer who hopes to break through his block by understanding what makes people tick, and wants to start with Megan. Although Megan was not a likable character previously, through Nick’s eyes, there was hope. I enjoyed reading Waiting On Her.

Megan and Nick were childhood friends who had been driven apart by her mother. They reconnected as adults and Nick still had feelings for Megan, but family interfered again. You will have to read the story to see if Nick prevails and they get their HEA.
I enjoyed the story and recommend it as a nice read.

Megan’s reputation was not a pretty one. How does one get the WHOLE town to hate you like that??! An evil, emotionally deprived mother…and I use the term very loosely! No wonder she has issues and she should look into some therapy or something! Yes, I got involved with this small town romance of Nick and Megan. So many secrets were uncovered that changed her for the better…giving her the chance of happily ever after…

‘Waiting On Her’ is the second book I have read by Natasha Queen, and I really enjoyed it. I loved Megan as a character from the first book ‘Fake Fiancée Fiasco’, so I’m so glad she got her own story.
Megan is a complex character, she has been brought up by a selfish woman who didn’t know how to love anything but money. The toll it has taken on Megan has left her cold, prickly and savage with her words.
But behind then hardened exterior and harsh tongue, is a woman desperately wanting to be loved, to be happy and to know how it feels to be free.
Nick Brewster is a famous author, and he has one weakness, Megan Brooks. She has always been his Achilles heel, and despite how much she broke his heart, there’s something about her that still gets under his skin.
So when Nick struggles with a bad case of writer’s block, he seeks inspiration and believes Megan will be able to give him insight into a character he so desperately wants to write. He wants to base it in her, but in order to do so, he needs to get to know her- and not just the version Megan portrays, but the one he’s always known hides beneath the surface.
Megan is growing as a person and you relate to her struggling to change, to let her guard down and to allow Nick in. She is a character you can’t help but like, and I’m so glad she got her happily ever after.
This book is filled with some really cute moments, and I love Nick! It’s the perfect sweet romance reads, and ideal for those who love enemies to lover stories.
This is my first read from this author and I enjoyed it very much. I wasn’t sure how I would feel about Megan but getting to know her and the reason she is the way she is, made me warm up to her. I loved Nick and the already he gave for Megan warmed my heart.
