Is hate still hate if it’s built on a lie? From the author of ‘The Brides of Pecan Grove’ and ‘Fake Fiancee Fiasco,’ here comes another sweet romance you just don’t want to missMegan Brooks is as mean as she is beautiful. She’s sarcastic and judgmental, but no one else knows she makes elaborate soap in the shed she built in the backyard. Or that she uses people’s horoscopes to close business … Or that she uses people’s horoscopes to close business deals.
Nick Brewster is an introvert, a bestselling writer, and a man who’s never quite gotten over Megan Brooks. When he bumps into her after years apart, he jumps at the chance to make her his muse.
He should have known nothing with Megan would be easy. She’s irritating and mean but Nick has always known that underneath her smart mouth and prickly exterior, Megan Brooks has a heart of gold.
He just needs to make her see it.
Getting a second chance at love has never been sweeter in this small-town romance full of love, laughter, and family.

Was surprised that the main character was Megan from Frenemies story. As it says an page 1, “Megan was unlikable.” However, near the end of the prior book, she had some redeeming moments and it was enthralling to find out about her inner demons as she becomes self-aware. Of course, the main male character, Nick, is equally flawed, but in a much more socially acceptable way. He too has some growth in store. Wonderful story that kept me reading until it ended. This story has fun as well as touching moments. Highly recommend.

The author has created such realistic and likable characters, although Megan wasn’t very likable at the start. This is the story of a boy, now a man, who has continued to love the girl who was his best friend until she suddenly broke his heart in high school. From that time on, Megan became the mean girl. This is a sweet story that illustrates how far one man will go to prove to the woman he loves that she can trust him – that he is not like her mother told her all men were like. This story evoked all kinds of emotions as I read it. I found it very hard to put my Kindle down because I wanted to see if Nick would be successful in winning Megan’s love. Things were looking good for a while, and then Megan pulled back. Her mother’s lessons were deeply ingrained. As you may have guessed, this romance had a happy ending, but things looked pretty grim for a while. I highly recommend this book to readers who like sweet romances that aren’t run-of-the-mill.

I enjoyed reading this book very much. This is a story I am recommending to my friends. I was so entertained and thrilled while reading this story. I truly loved the twist and turns, ups and downs, and I also enjoyed all the characters.
A very well written heartwarming touching story. This smooth flowing story picked up quickly and soon had me addicted till the last page turned. The characters are interesting, complex and flawed. A wonderful small town enemies to lovers romance with a clean HEA. I voluntarily read and reviewed this ARC.
The main female character, Megan, appears mean, scary at first. It took me several chapters to start liking her but Nick, the main male character, was right, she is actually a strong, loving person with scars that run pretty deep. Nick is a smart, sweet writer who is really good at reading people and the only one who sees Megan for who she is.The book is really well written that draws uou in (I read it in one day, I just couldn’t stop!)

A believable story that many can relate to. Gives hope that despite our mistakes, we can grow, decide to change, and find our happy ever after.

I give this story 5 Stars (even though, for some strange reason, it will only let me choose 4)!!
Totally engaging and entertaining read. I was pleasantly surprised to see how Natasha could take a character who was previously very unlikable and make you want to root for her.
We first met Megan in an earlier story and she was not very nice.
Nick, now a famous author, and Megan were friends until they were tweens when Megan’s mother started making demands which turned her into someone else entirely.
Can Megan shake her mother’s influence? Can Nick break down her walls to find the girl he remembers?
I highly recommend the purchase of this book to find out. You will not be disappointed.

a sweet second chance love story. A good quick read. Great characters and well written story. Love the girl being a prickly pear with a heart of good. He’s still pining for. Will she become his Muse and will they live happily ever after? A good read.
Third book in series. Enjoyed plot and characters. Showed self esteem issues effect every aspect of life and that no one is immune to. People are able to change to better self, surface does not always what it seems. Sweet clean romance with devotion and forgiveness.

Can they have a second chance
*** 3 1/2 Stars ***
Waiting On Her is an enjoyable story about Megan and Nick. We first met Megan in the previous book and she was not very likeable at all. Megan and Nick have known each other since they were children and even fell in love. But something happened and Megan changed which caused them to grow apart and a lot of people became Megan’s enemy as she was not nice to them. Now they are both back in their small town and in each others orbits. She realizes that she has to change and try to apologize to and connect with those that she hurt, including Nick. Things do not always go smoothly for her in this and some moments make the reader cringe as she struggles to control herself. But things also become known about just how she grew up and how awful it actually it was. Not making excuses but sometimes when you feel bad about yourself you lash out at others to try and make yourself feel better.
Nick is a great character and almost seems to good to be true. But he is smart, funny and will not run away from Megan but at the same time he does stand up for himself and those around him.
The story-line of Waiting On Her is interesting and kept my attention along with the characters of Megan and Nick. They were written with some depth and emotion to their stories. There were a couple things that I was not particularly ecstatic about in the story details but for the most part I liked this story.
I received a free ARC of this book in exchange for my honest review. My opinions are all my own.
This is the first book I have read by this author and definitely wont be the last. Loved the way Nick was so patient with Megan and all her baggage.
I really disliked the mother and the way she tried to shape Megan.
Was a great read that I would recommend.

Megan was a mean girl. Always hurting people feelings and not caring at all. Wanting to please her mom at an early age and always doing what her mother said made Megan a miserable person. Nick and Megan were good friends until she turn 12 and mama wanted a pretty girl. They grew up and Nick became an author and he was having writer block when he came across Megan in a coffee shop. Old feelings remain with Nick. Guess who will be starting in the new book as one of the character? Natasha did an amazing job on making Megan likable in this book. This book is a must have for your collection but make sure you have the first one too. Fake Fiancee Fiasco.

At first I had a hard time with the way Megan was but I am so glad I kept on reading because I ended out falling for both Nick and Megan. They go through so much in their lives growing up especially Megan. I loved that they got a second chance at their friendship and that it grows into a beautiful love story. You definitely have to read this book to find out the emotional journey Nick and Megan go on. The writing is great, the characters are well developed and the ending was perfect.
Megan and Nick were childhood best friends, until they weren’t. Nick hadn’t seen Megan in 10 years but runs into her at the coffee shop. He realizes he still misses her. Can they comb thru their past to find a future together?
I love books that bring you into their world, like a friend looking in. Great portrayal of the characters.
So I didn’t like Meghan so much in Fake afiance Fiasco, BUT I saw a lot of myself in her while reading Waiting on Her. I didn’t think Going in that I would like Her so much, but we share a lot of the same qualities. Sarcastic to the point ppl think you are being rude or mean. I loved the way Nick interacted with her, and just who his all the way around and his family. Loved this book!

Waiting on her is a great book of redemption and second chances. It managed to redeem Megan and make her likable and Nick is the best and has a good family that makes him the perfect candidate to show love to Megan and to re-write their history*Apoilers*. The book is well written and easy to follow and moves along from one chapter to the next seamlessly. Well done to Natasha Queen
