“I’m afraid there’s been a car accident…”As Hannah Ryan waits for her family to return home from a camping trip, she realizes she has everything going for her—a husband other women admire, two charming teenage daughters, and a loving Christian home. As the sunny afternoon turns into twilight, her uneasiness grows along with the shadows. Then a car pulls into Hannah’s driveway, bringing two … driveway, bringing two police officers…and devastating news that shatters her life forever.
In the days that follow, Hannah struggles with unspeakable feelings of sorrow and rage—feelings that fuse into one chilling purpose for living: revenge against Brian Wesley, the drunk driver who has caused all her pain.
In her fury, Hannah shuts the Lord out of her life. She’s determined not to forgive Wesley or the God who allowed this tragedy to happen. Can two caring people help Hannah rediscover her faith…before bitterness destroys her?

Love reading anything from this author. She never disappoints me.
Everything she writes is excellent!
I stayed up late at night to finish this book, It really held my attention and had a great ending!
This book is full of emotions. While it is hauntingly sad it is also inspirational. It is very realistic in its storyline and the human nature in each of us.
This book focused on how alcoholism affects people not just him or her, or their immediate family but everyone involved with their choice to drink and drive such as the victims family who were killed or maimed from careless behavior. It Opened my eyes to the tradegedy drinking and driving causes in so many ways. It is my hope that much tougher laws will be enacted to protect the innocent people on the roadways and to prosecute the drinkers with a much higher penalty.
The main character shows how easy it is to become bitter and unforgiving. But only through forgiveness do you receive freedom and peace.
Hannah confronts the horror no one ever wants to. Faith leaves. Fear rears it’s head and attempts to disrupt all that remains. (An intense walk through the reality of severe loss and what I know would be my greatest fear.) The author kept faith around her as she grapples with redefining life. Well done!
Although the book was a bit depressing at first, it had a very good message and a great ending.
