Recently optioned for film by Passionflix! When romance novelist Kate Smith suddenly gets writer’s block as she’s beginning the final installment of her international bestselling steamy Bed ‘n Breakfast series, she’ll do pretty much anything to get her groove back.Like sneak into a Tire Depot waiting room because her words flow there just like complimentary coffee-smooth, sweet, and scorchingly … coffee-smooth, sweet, and scorchingly hot.
She manages to fly under the radar until the rugged and charming mechanic, Miles Hudson, notices the quirky redhead slinking in and out of the employees only entrance.
But she’s way too intriguing to blow the whistle on.
Doing a test-drive of her new book idea sounds like a much better option.

This book was so adorable! When you start off with “sneaking” into a tire center to write, where do you go from there? I now know the answer and thoroughly enjoyed the journey.
What can I say about this book? Well first off I just wanna say that I have no idea why I didn’t read this sooner! I am a huge fan of all of Amy’s books and when One Moment Please came out this year I realized I had yet to read the rest of the Wait With Me Series! And when my book buddy suggested that we read it together it was a no brainer because Amy could sign a receipt and I’m sure I would read it because knowing her she would write some funny remark on it about balls. And this book was exactly why I love Amy’s writing! If I wasn’t laughing I was blushing and vice versa.
Kate is such a quirky heroine. She’s a hot mess, but I’ve never wanted to be friends with a heroine more! And Miles! Oh, Miles. He is hot, so so hot. His little moments of jealousy got me going. And together these two were absolute magic! So hot, so funny, and so meant for each other! I need so much more Miles and Kate and I am hoping that Passionflix picks this up because I’d love to watch them on the big screen!
I will be working my way through the Wait With Me series in anticipation for Dean’s book and I haven’t been as excited to read a series in a while! This is the type of book/series that will pick you up and put a smile on your face! I’m honestly so glad I’m jumping into it in 2020 when I need a pick-me-up the most!
is the first book I read by Amy Daws and I loved it.
If you like reading New Adult and are looking for a contemporary romantic comedy, this is your book.
Kate is an erotic writer, who publishes under the name of Mercedes, carries a baggage of insecurities and problems that lead to a writer’s block and finds in a tyre shop a place where writing becomes easy again, there she meets Miles, a mechanic who is the Boyfriend book of dreams, but he also carries a baggage at a cost, that makes him look for only casual relationships, when Kate introduces herself to him as a Mercedes things between them become casual, she looks for him for literary research and he lends himself to get the redhead that drives him crazy out of his system, but when feelings get mixed up, insecurities come out and ghosts of the past appear, they will have to make a decision.
It’s an entertaining book, I’ve had a great laugh with Kate and the things that happen to her in the customer comfort centre, their personality is fluid, there’s no time for boredom and we’d all really like to find that Boyfriend book and be able to fulfil our fantasies. I like the plot shows you that many times our insecurities betray us and that not throwing away our luggage can take us away from living our now in a beautiful way.
I recommend them.
could not put it down! And wooo, it was hawt!
Kate is a erotica writer who is suffering from writers block. She finally finds her muse though at the Tire Depot. The coffee is free and the customer waiting room is terrific. That is why she finds herself sneaking in and writing there on a daily basis. She also meets Miles, a mechanic who she begins a friends with benefit relationship with. After all she just got rid of a pesky ex and is not ready to start another relationship. That is until they fall for one another will they admit it or let each other go?
I liked the whole concept of this one. I read #2 first so my interest was peaked. I could totally see someone doing what Kate does and really enjoyed the banter between Miles and Kate. Fun light read perfect for relaxing in the sun.
It had an unusual premise and a rather brave heroine to choose her place of writing the last novel in her series.
My first book from this author and it did not disappoint. There was a reader in Pippa Grant’s The Pipsquad talk about Lynsey book the third in the series and it sounded so good. So I grabbed all three on KU. First up is Kate and Myles. Romance, flirting and free coffee and snacks in the Customer Care Center at the Tire Depot. Kate found that the words flowed better at tire depot so that were she went to write her next smutty book as she called it. Myles a mechanic at the Depot and Kate/Mercedes strike up a friendship and some book boyfrien research as they called it until it turned into much more and a great HEA.
love it
Unique! I laughed out-loud. Then I had to tell someone what was happening in the story any they laughed too. It was so entertaining! I haven’t read anything like this book. Off the wall funny in spots. And very romantic in spots too. You just have to read it to experience it for yourself!
I thought the characters were funny and real and the plot and story line was original.
Loved this book and the characters!
Couldn’t put it down. I’m reading the series, all of them are funny!
Amy Daws. Need I say more? Seriously, she is amazing. Her characters are always great and she always throws in her humor! Must read.
Yum. Great summer, winter, spring fall read. Just happy with a little drama
This was a new author for me…LOVED this series!!
Okay, so I was really intrigued by this book from all the rave reviews and I will be honest, I am a sucker for a good rom com! This book started off great but about 40% of the way in, I got some readers anxiety. First off, I loved both Kate/Mercedes as well as Miles. HOWEVER, I did find myself getting seriously ticked off at both of them. I literally cringed when Kate lied–the first being her name wasn’t totally terrible but it sort of is her name but her lying about her roommate situation had me seriously mad. I mean COME ON– DONT DO IT!! AHHH!!! Then Miles attitude of not wanting to be in a relationship but at the same time telling her she can’t flirt or make him jealous–RAWR! I was so frustrated with these two, I literally went online to read reviews of what other readers thought—all of the rave reviews is what really helped push me to continue reading and I am glad I did!
While it was steamy, I love that it was really funny too. Not many books can make me laugh out loud.
Exquisitely captivating, highly entertaining, and totally charming. Amy Daws is a phenomenal story teller. I loved everything about this cute story.

She was easy to be around, and everyone liked her. Miles was kind, honest, and more serious. Kate and Miles have lots of sex; if you do not like that, this book is not for you.
Total RomCom Book Boyfriend Material!
My goodness the swooning! Could Miles Hudson get any more perfect?! I mean whew!
Amy Daws really knows how to know a story out. This book had the perfect amount of romance, humor, sexy times, and happiness. It’s not often anymore that I FEEL the heartbreak that comes with each book. But Lordy did I feel it with this one. I couldn’t stop reading because I HAD to know how it ended. No wait, I NEEDED to know. Gosh I love these characters so much I just want so much more of them. The perfect couple, truly.
If you’re looking for a great comedy romance, snag this baby up now! I’m headed into book 2 now!
