Recently optioned for film by Passionflix! When romance novelist Kate Smith suddenly gets writer’s block as she’s beginning the final installment of her international bestselling steamy Bed ‘n Breakfast series, she’ll do pretty much anything to get her groove back.Like sneak into a Tire Depot waiting room because her words flow there just like complimentary coffee-smooth, sweet, and scorchingly … coffee-smooth, sweet, and scorchingly hot.
She manages to fly under the radar until the rugged and charming mechanic, Miles Hudson, notices the quirky redhead slinking in and out of the employees only entrance.
But she’s way too intriguing to blow the whistle on.
Doing a test-drive of her new book idea sounds like a much better option.

Wait With Me by Amy Daws is the standalone romantic comedy written by the author in non-other than a… tire shop. The quirkiness behind the back story to the book and the fabulous writing of one of my more recent must-read authors made this a hilarious romantic romp that I absolutely couldn’t put down. Told in dual POV between Kate & Miles, this book had the trifecta of romance, steam and comedy.
Kate is a writer suffering from, DUN DUN DUN… Writers Block. Purely by chance, she found a spot where the creative juices flow and it is in the Customer Comfort Center (CCC) at Tire Depot. She has long since run out of family, friends and friends of friends cars to bring in for oil changes and services and has just take to sneaking in and hanging out in a remote corner of the lounge, with complimentary coffee on IV drip and all the complimentary cookies she could ask for.
Miles is a mechanic at the Tire Depot and is wildly attracted to the mysterious redhead that keeps showing up for all day sessions in the CCC. When he gets her name, Mercedes, and begins to spend time with her outside the Tire depot he is quickly hooked on her and all their “research” for ehr romance novel. What he doesn’t realize is that her real name is Kate and her “gay” roommate is actually her ex-boyfriend. Not a great or honest start to their new relationship…
Grab your complimentary coffee & Cookies and prepare to indulge in the sexy times and moderate angst and wonderful happy ever after in Wait With Me. Enjoy!
THIS.BOOK.WAS.EVERYTHING. It was truly everything that I enjoy in a book. I had hoped that I would love this book and I did!! Kate and Miles are the best characters. Their chemistry and banter was smoking hot. I laughed so hard at times. Reading a story that chronicled some of Amy’s experience at Tires Tires Tires was just the cherry on top of the whipped cream. The pace and plot of this story was just perfect. When I start a book, I often struggle for the first couple of chapters until I get into the story… but not with this one. As soon as I started it, I couldn’t put it down. I could totally visualize all of these characters as real people and that is a testament to phenomenal writing.
I want More More More!
5 swoon-worthy ’s!!!
I have been following Amy Daws’ Tires Tires Tires posts and when she revealed she was writing a book about a mechanic and an author I knew I had to read it.
Wait With Me was PERFECTION!! Miles was such a strong ALPHA man who was a tad damaged (and I love a damaged hero), he’s a normal guy who notices the cute red head, Kate, in the comfort center of Tire Depot.
Kate…she was so funny!!! I loved how Ms. Daws gave the “dirty” humor to the heroine, you don’t normally see that in books.
Miles and Kate together was pure romance!! All the supporting characters fit the story! I hope we get to see more of them…….

“Can you orgasm from happiness? I kinda think so.”
Kate is a romance writer. She is trying really hard to finish her latest erotica series but she fears she’s lost her words. Kate takes her car in for servicing and is hanging out in their amazing customer care center and BAM her vibe is back. She is pouring out ALL the words. Who knew the customer create center at her tire shop would be inspirational??!!?? It must be the free coffee and home made cookies. Soon after she will find any excuse to keep coming back. Her brothers need new tires? Never fear! Kate will take your car in. Your cousins coworker needs their car looked at? Kate is your girl!!! And so that begins the book. Kate desperate to finish her writing….at a tire shop.
Enter Miles. All Miles wants to do is work, go out occasionally with his buddies and move on from a really really really bad breakup. Miles was in an on again and off again relationship during his entire 20’s. Now that he’s 30 and single he plans on making up for lost time and staying DRAMA free. But once Miles spots the beautiful red head trying to sneak into the employee entrance to get to the customer comfort center he knows he’s screwed.
This book is everything you’d expect in an Amy Daws novel and more. It’s funny….actually hilarious….makes you cry laughing at times. It’s heartfelt. It’s sweet. It’s HAWT and had two amazing characters and their friends. I could NOT put it down. It was so worth being a zombie at work the next day. I really hope this is a start to another series. After all…. Dean, Lynsey and Sam need to find their HEA!

I heard about this book from a news show that was doing an interview with the author about how this book came to be. I am so glad I saw that and purchased the book. This book has some much heart and warmth I’m glad I took a chance.
Miles is the perfect book boyfriend. I mean come on, sure he was jealous at times but otherwise he checked off every box in my list.
Kate was really fun to read about. She was smart, witty and funny. She was like any other woman. There were days she came in like a hurricane but others she had insecurities like all of us.
I would highly recommend this book.
“You are such a horny bastard sometimes, you know that?”
“Says the smut writer.”
My very first read by the amazing Amy Daws and she DID NOT disappoint! WAIT WITH ME is the unexpected love story between a romance novelist dealing with major writer’s block and a mechanic who wants absolute ZERO drama in his life. Something tells me that our heroine’s brand of drama is not what he was talking about. Kate and Miles are an ADORABLE couple. Their connection is instant, their chemistry is scorching hot, and the hilarious banter is everything you want it to be and MORE. I couldn’t have asked for a better first impression with this author!
The real life, hilarious story that inspired WAIT WITH ME is INCREDIBLE! If you’ve been living under a rock and haven’t heard about it, just Google it. Trust me, it will bring such inspiration to your own life, I guarantee it. Hilarious, sexy, and entertaining as hell, WAIT WITH ME is a must read for every romance reader out there! Amy Daws definitely made my day a little bit brighter by bringing Kate and Miles’ story into the world.
“Please,” she retorts with an eye roll. “I practically fainted in your arms. We couldn’t get more book-worthy if we tried.” She strides over and looks sheepishly up at me, the color already returning to her cheeks. I clasp her hand gently and pin her with a serious look. “Mercedes, there’s no need to be embarrassed. This is not the first time I’ve had a girl faint at the sight of me.” She barks out a laugh and yanks her hand out of mine to smack me in the stomach. “Just feed me before you start reciting any more cheesy romance novel lines.”
I’ve been anticipating this story since I began following the epic story of an author camping out in a tire shop because that’s where she was finding inspiration. Even better, her writing began to be inspired by her location! How cool would a story about a writer, writing romance be?
The story begins with Kate, aka Mercedes, hiding out in the customer care center of a tire shop. While enjoying complimentary coffee and cookies (and missing her chance at a Danish every. time.), she’s typing up a storm on her upcoming romance novel. When she bumps into one of the mechanics on her way out, not only does she drop her computer (gasp!), she notices a man with “book boyfriend arms.” This leads to introducing herself with her pen name, some mild flirting, and a now nagging fear of being caught spending too much time in their waiting space.
Fortunately, for “Mercedes,” Miles the mechanic turns out to be an entertaining addition to her writing routine. He’s easy on the eyes, funny, and actually a pretty good guy. Eventually she finds a use for him … not that! She picks his brain for book research—a male perspective. Turns out Miles is good at a lot of different things, and he is always super, super helpful. But, unfortunately for the situation, as great as things are right now, we all know that they are bound for trouble soon enough.
Will these two find their book worthy happily ever after?!
This story was hilarious! Full of witty banter, all the classic romance novel situations, and even some real feelings. I loved reading about a writer who is living a romance novel! It played just enough of the clichés that it made things humorous at every turn. I totally enjoyed this new perspective, and hope that Mercedes never stops writing!
A feel good, laugh out loud until your stomach hurts kind of book! Wait With Me by Amy Daws is magic! Undoubtedly one of the best rom coms I’ve read in a long time. It is captivating, witty, and sexy, it will have you smiling through and through.
As a huge fan of Amy Daws, Wait With Me could not come fast enough. If you follow Amy on social media, you know why. I followed this Tires, Tires, Tires journey from the beginning. When Amy announced she’d be writing this book I was thrilled. This book is amazing, it could not have been more perfect!
Kate is an erotic romance writer who has hit a writer’s block. She takes her car to the local Tire Depot, where she finds her words. The CCC, customer comfort center, is the only place she can find her vibe, so she decides there is no harm in going back until she finishes her latest book. Even after a series of very embarrassing, but hilarious events that happen while writing at the CCC, she is determined to go unnoticed and finish her book. The problem is she doesn’t go unnoticed. When she accidentally smacks into a mechanic at the Tire Depot, her life is about to turn into a romance novel, and she doesn’t even know it.
Miles is what book boyfriends are made of, he is all alpha, hard working, and so sexy. While working at Tire Depot, he notices a very attractive red head who keeps coming back. The day she bumps into him, he is hooked, not only is she attractive, but she is funny and smart. The problem is that after getting to know her, he knows there is no way they can be anything other than friends. After being burned by the girl he thought was the one, he decides all he wants is casual. And this girl is definitely not the casual hookup kind of girl. But what is a man to do when the girl asks for help with her book research.
Miles keeps fighting this pull between him and Kate, he can’t seem to trust that she won’t turn out like his ex. And Kate can’t come to terms with who she is, and tell Miles the entire truth. There are these lies lingering in the air, and then just when things start falling into place for them it all falls apart. The best part of romance novels, as Kate and her friends would put it, is the grand gesture. So Kate does just that, she goes in search of her grand gesture. But will it be enough to win Miles back?
This book, is everything I expected and more! Amy has a way with words. This book was so much fun to read, it was light and enjoyable. A perfect mix of steamy and funny, it was heartwarming and engaging. I laughed and giggled the entire time. A must read, I couldn’t put it down.
Definitely a 5 star read!

OHWOWOHWOWOHWOW! My first Amy Daws book I have ever read and IT. WAS. DAMN. FUNNY, IRRESISTIBLY ENTERTAINING AND SERIOUSLY CUTE AND HOT AT THE SAME TIME! I can honestly see why Wait With Me was one of the most HIGHLY anticipated books of the year. The story made me LAUGH OUT LOUD AND OFTEN, made me crave the need to find my very own Tire and Auto body shop to do my blogging in because DAMN..I SO want to drink some fancy coffee and eat free cookies and have a comfy place to get my own mojo going. And the hottie mechanic..OMG I could picture him PERFECTLY in my minds eye and I WANTED him! This book is JUST THE ABSOLUTE BEST!
I love a good romantic comedy, but Wait With Me didn’t feel like the average rom-com. It felt like it was a million light years of AMAZING! I wasn’t sure what to expect but it wasn’t this much fun and sexiness, snark, sass, laughs, or cuteness that’s for sure! Amy Daws has got a new stalker…I mean fan after reading this book. I am kicking myself silly for not having heard of her sooner. The witty banter, the amazing chemistry, the outrageous humor was EVERYTHING. God, if there is only ONE romantic comedy you pick up this year, make sure its Wait For Me! You DO NOT want to miss this AWESOMENESS!
Wait For Me gets a WONDERFULLY WITTY AND SPECTACULARLY WRITTEN TEN WHOLE GLORIOUS STARS!
Like a lot of people on social media, I have been following the shenanigans of Amy Daws. Unless you have been living under a rock, or don’t have Facebook and/or Instagram, you don’t know what the hell I am talking about. Mrs. Daws had writers block and one day, her car needed some work. Enter, Tires, Tires, Tires. The mothership for Mrs. Daws’s writing mojo. She was trying to finish up her latest work in progress, when eureka, the words started flowing once she enters the Customer Courtesy Center where the coffee and cookies are aplenty. And everyday, Mrs. Daws would let her readers know about how she would bring every car that either her family or friends had available to get either tires or an oil change done just so she can continue on her work in progress. (Sidenote: if you are already a fan of Mrs. Daws, then you know she was working on her Gareth Brothers Series, just saying.) It became a running joke, with friends pulling pranks, one local friend sent her a TTT invoice for all her coffee and cookie consumption, the best one was when fellow author friend, Jana Aston sends a large pie to TTT. The gig was up when the manager at TTT messaged Amy and told her, she could work, have all the coffee and cookies her little heart desired. And so, what the hell, between the messages from fellow authors, they told her she should write a romance novel about a writer and a mechanic and how said writer found her writing mojo back at her local tire shop. And so Wait With Me was born ladies and gentlemen.
Wait With Me stars Kate Smith a/k/a Mercedes Lee Loveletter (her pen name) and Miles Hudson the hot mechanic that keeps busting her whenever she comes into the Tire Depot. Of course, Miles is very intrigued by the hot redhead, consuming all the coffee and cookies at the Tire Depot. Don’t let the hot good looks of Miles fool you, he’s more than his hotness. He’s a hard worker, doing his on DIY on his fixer up house, and loves restoring antique cars. Who doesn’t love a man that emails his mama once a week and lets her know about his life? He’s very close to his family, as opposed to Kate/Mercedes since her family do not take her writing very seriously.
Oh but inspiration keeps hitting Kate/Mercedes, especially whenever she is around Miles, they start a FWB situation. Let’s face it, both of them have been burned in the past with their former significant others. Oh but wait, Kate/Mercedes was holding some significant information from Miles and although he got to know her, he really didn’t KNOW her and I will leave it at that.
So yeah, this was my first Amy Daws book. I have had Endurance on my Kindle for quite some time, but life and other things not being able to read it, but guess what, I will be, like really soon. Yes, there was a lot of funny banter, and sexual chemistry was blazing hot. The sexy times, well I was blushing a lot, but there was more than that in this story. You know what else even better is that the two people in the book were pretty relatable. You usually have your millionaire, alpha dude trying to be all alpha and stuff. Then you get a hot blue collar auto mechanic, who is not only a sweetheart, but a well rounded person. Then you have your smut writer, trying to get her writing groove back on track and when she does, it’s laugh-out-loud moments with some heavy hitting ones too.
So for those of you finding that you have severe writer’s block, find your own Tires, Tires, Tires, you never know where inspiration might hit you.
How Kate got her mojo back
As a huge fan of Amy Daws, I had been following along with her story as she found a new place to write her next Harris Brothers novel – the unlikely Customer Care Centre of her local Tires, Tires, Tires franchise. When she announced that she was writing a book loosely based on her experiences, I was keen to read it – as I am anything that Amy writes. However, quite unexpectedly, the hype surrounding the TTT saga that has gone on in Amy’s real life and, inadvertently this book, has exploded with the story being picked up by local media, national (US) websites/blogs as well as buzzing all over social media. And for me, this is where the story “Wait With Me” has gotten lost amongst the story of Amy finding her writing mojo at TTT.
For me, I really enjoyed seeing the parallels between romance writer Kate Smith and the experiences Amy herself went through. Of course, once sexy mechanic Miles Hudson enters the scene, all comparisons between Amy and Kate are gone. And this becomes a sweet romance between two people who have had pretty horrible luck with exes in the past and aren’t quite ready to embark on something new. I laughed out loud quite a few times – Amy’s trademark humour definitely shining through – and the sex scenes are definitely hot hot hot!! Miles and Kate face quite a few hurdles and I liked going on their romantic journey to see where things would end up – even if it was a tad predictable.
Also, I loved Amy’s commentary on the misunderstandings and mockery that romance writers – and even romance readers – have to contend with.
“But deep down, I know I’m more. I’m a creator of stories. Stories that have a plot and an arc and a journey. Yes, they experiment in BDSM. Yes, they do anal. And yes, you will probably get horny when you read them, but they still mean something to me. I’m still proud of them when I type The End. And I love the fact that I have readers who get to escape their regular lives for a while and pretend that they’re someone else.”
Overall, this was a sweet, lovely romance that – despite the hype – deserves the praise it has been getting. I’m looking forward to hopefully reading about more of the characters we got to meet in this book because I think Lynsey, Dean and Sam all deserve their own HEA.

I absolutely loved Wait With Me by Amy Dawes. The story was just so adorable and fun to read. I loved every minute of it! I found Amy in her social media post about her own story and now have a new author I will definitely keep reading!
Romance writer Kate Smith is in a slump and does not know how to get out of it. She is just out of a bad relationship and is hit with writer’s block. So, when she ends up at Tire Depot and writes all the words, she knows she cannot give it up. So, she has spent weeks sneaking in and out of there writing the words. But how long can she get away with it?
Miles Hudson is a mechanic at Tires Depot and the redhead that has been making herself at home in the waiting area of the shop is making him wants things he shouldn’t want. He was in an on-and-off bad relationship for ten years and now that he is free of her, he is doing the casual thing. No relationships for him. He wants nothing to do with crazy.
When Miles catches Kate they hit it off, but he knows all he can give her is friendship. But their chemistry is off the charts. But Kate has secrets, secrets that can change everything for a man like Miles. Miles had enough lies, secrets and jealousy in his previous relationship and wants none of that in his future. Can they find a way to accept each other and move forward?
I loved Kate. She was insecure in some areas but is so strong and fierce in others. She was quirky and fun and just so likeable. It was hard not to see the good in her. Miles was such a good guy. What book boyfriends are all about. He was sexy, charming, possessive and protective. They were both such great characters and I loved them both.
I truly enjoyed reading Wait With Me by Amy Daws. I read it in one sitting and laughed, swooned and smiled. It was a great read and one I highly recommend.
4.5 stars! Loved it! Happy reading!
One of the most humorous, steamy, relevant, down to earth books I have read. Amy Daws has managed to find something new and exciting to write about, everyday life! Her characters could be your neighbors or any of us. Inspiration can be found anywhere, even in the mundane like a Tire Depot. Kate and Miles are fighting the pull of attraction because they do not want to let their guard down. What would happen when the other would see the real person, their true feelings? They had each been wronged before and were not ready to go through heartache again. A must read for all of us so that we can take a moment to find the humor in ourselves.
What a sexy, hilarious book! This was my first book I have read from this author but will definitely not be the last. I bought this book after all the stories of where this book was written and I am so glad I did. I loved Kate/Mercedes and Miles. They were such a fun couple. I laughed out loud many times during this book and that makes me love a book even more. The sexual innuendos and sex itself was so freaking HOT! I would highly recommend this book to everyone!!
Following along with Amy Daws’s Tires, Tires, Tires saga as she was inspired to write Wait with Me honestly made it that much funnier. It could have stood on it’s own without the Amy’s escapades, but it added a level of hilarity that couldn’t have been written.
I have to be honest. I heard the buzz about Tires, Tires, Tires. And I overheard people talking about Amy and her craziness. Caught some of the story. But I wasn’t one of the ones following the adventures religiously. I knew some vague details. Thought it sounded mildly amusing. And it’s no secret that her other books and series are huge hits. But, *gasp* I have actually not read any yet, despite having a number of them on my Kindle right this moment. (You better believe I’m bumping those babies up my TBR.) So when asked if I wanted to read an early copy of Wait With Me, the book based loosely on Ms. Daws’ shenanigans at her local tire center, I said sure. I had no idea what I was getting and that made it all the more delicious and wonderful when I started reading.
Katie Smith is author Mercedes Lee Loveletter. A bestselling erotic romance novelist, she’s hit a wall in her writing with a deadline fast approaching. The home she bought with her preppy, rich, ex-boyfriend isn’t helping get her creative juices flowing. So she’s seeking inspiration anywhere she can. By chance her car needs its regular service, and during her wait, she discovers the Comfort Center. Free coffee. Fresh baked goods. Wi-Fi. Comfy chairs. And relative quiet. The words flow like maple syrup from a tap. And soon she’s borrowing cars from every random friend and relative she can think of for an excuse to spend more time in this motivational mecca. I mean, no one’s going to notice one red-haired author clacking away in the corner eating one too many cookies, right?
Miles Hudson works at the Tire Depot. He’s no simple grease monkey. He loves his family deeply. He restores antique cars. He’s single-handedly rehabbing the house he bought on the Boulder outskirts. And after a decade in a poisonous relationship, he’s not down for anything more than casual. But the auburn bombshell who thinks she’s being sneaky about spending every waking moment in the waiting area of the garage? There’s just something about her that calls to him.
The chemistry between these two is palpable. But there are so many roadblocks. The specter of toxic exes. Half-truths and fear. This storybook romance may not get its HEA after all. Or will it?
I was immediately hooked on the characters. The quirky spicy romance author. The hot, but somewhat broken, auto mechanic. And the supporting cast- plaid pants-wearing, hoppy-beer drinking Dean, loyal but honest best friend, Lynsey, garage sidekick and drinking buddy, Sam. They made the story real. You could completely believe the pizza-delivery incident actually happened (well, I guess it actually *did* happen). Picture the motorcycle rides and unexpected coffee shop confrontations, and practically taste the almond lattes and danishes from the Comfort Center. And above all it left you appreciating the romance of the every day encounter.
*5 Stars*
Many of you, like me, have followed Amy’s hilarious antics at Tires Tires Tires, since she began posting about them on her social media. And as is typical Amy style, they were hilarious, and a story you couldn’t stay away from.
I was so excited when she said she was going to write this book, loosely based on her escapades to TTT.
Wait with Me was awesome. Having followed Amy’s story, I immediately noticed the similarities and true parts that were included in the story, but for the most part, the storyline is fictional.
Can I just say, that Miles is an ultimate book boyfriend. And the cover model? Perfect as Miles!
I loved reading Kate and Miles story, and reading their hilarious banter. This book was so truly Amy, that you’d be hard pressed not love it, if you’re a fan of hers. And even if you haven’t read her before? You’ll become a fan of hers. Because she writes with warmth, she writes with heart and she writes with personality.
The story of the romance writer and grease monkey had me hooked and I loved all the little things that happened. Each character had their own back story and depth that added to the way they reacted towards each other, and they both had friends who played well into the storyline as well.
For the most part this was a really fun and fluffy book to read. Of course there’s the ultimate part that always happens with a romance novel, where everything seemingly goes to hell, but I knew Amy would bring it back with style. And she did. This book ended perfectly and I truly loved getting to know these characters, because they were so real. I even think there’s room for spinoffs about some of the other secondary characters too.
For something written so quickly and inspired by a real life situation at good old Tires Tires Tires, all the way over in the US, it’s reached the hearts of readers like me, over here in little old Sydney, Australia.
Bravo Amy, Bravo.
You’ve been following Amy Daws on social media, right? So you know her Tires Tires Tires Story? No? Oh boy. It’s hilarious and I was super excited when I heard Amy was inspired to write a book based on some of her experiences. Wait With Me did not disappoint, it was hilarious and cute, sweet and sexy. It was such a joy to read. It’s the type of book that you recommend to a friend if they’ve had a rough few weeks, it really is a fun and uplifting story. I’m loving this cover too.
If you did follow Amy’s journey some moments in WWM will jump out at you and make you chuckle as you remember them. I remember laughing when she posted about receiving the letter, and the pizza, and a few other moments, reading about them in the book made them even funnier, mainly because they were steeped in reality. I love Amy’s writing, it really does captivate the reader and pull them into the world she is creating and makes them want to put their feet up and never leave.
The characters in this book are fabulous. Dean? oh my, somebody get that book boyfriend a book already. I’m told you’re not supposed to swoon at a secondary character, but what do they know? Just read his description and try not to swoon, I dare you!
Miles Hudson is a sexy mechanic, I loved him, he had a little baggage from a previous relationship but not too much, he was always so sweet to Kate, I liked his flirting ways. His jealousy was quite endearing and definitely made sense after all he’d been subjected too.
Kate Smith was so much fun, I loved her as a character, she was something special. Every time she said or did something misleading I shook my head and thought ‘Kate, girl, stop, back away slowly, this is going to bite you in the behind’ and of course, she didn’t listen. I understood her reasons though, it made sense to me, I had my fingers crossed throughout that she’d get her HEA, because if anyone deserves it it’s a romance writer who gives so much pleasure to so many readers.
Kate and Miles are perfection together, they’re such a cute couple. I loved how their research came together. Watching them spend time getting to know each other and falling for each other and fighting against it. The sexy times were pretty darn sexy and fit with the timing of the story. Their banter was great and worked really well for them as a couple. The ending was everything I hoped it would be. Now, about Dean’s book?
Following the fame of her TTT posts on social media, author Amy Daws came up with the idea for her next book. And this is it.
Wait With Me is about a mechanic and an author, not not Amy lol, although some of the story is based a little bit on reality.
Kate Smith has lost her writing mojo after a breakup, and is desperate to get her next book finished. When she got to Tire Depot to get an oil change for her car, she doesn’t expect for her dry spell to come to a sudden end, but it does. And now she has to find a way to keep coming back… without being noticed.
Mikes Hudson doesn’t know what the gorgeous redhead is up to when he sees her sneaking into the Customer Care Center but he wants to find out. He’ll do just about anything this cute, adorable girl wants…
Even research.
This is one of the funniest books I’ve read this year. It was hot and sexy, not too heavy on the drama, and had plenty of interesting characters. This is the first in a three part series, and if you’re a fan of Amy and keep up with her TTT story you may catch the hints she left for the other two books. I’m pretty sure I did!!! I absolutely loved Miles and Kate, they made a great couple. And can I say, HAWT mechanic!! Miles was sexy as all get out, gentle and kind too, but he had a past hurt he was struggling with and needed to get out of his head a few times.
Kate was a trapped by her past too, only hers was still hanging on.
The secondary characters certainly helped bring this story to life. Can’t wait to see who’s next.
I have such a huge smile on my face right now! This book has everything I needed! Amy Daws, I love you woman! I can’t stop talking about you these days because of Wait With Me but also because through all I see on social medias, I wish we could be friends. You are funny and I loved following you through all your shenanigans to get close to Tires Tires Tires. I’m stalking you ever seen you started your journey and I can’t get enough! All the crazy happening around it is so phenomenal and I wish it would never stop!
”You know that point in a romance novel where the girl bares her heart to the guy, and he tells her that he’s loved her since the first moment he laid eyes on her? That’s not how my story with Miles went.”
If you didn’t know already, Wait with Me is based on a real life experience the author had at TTT. The love story part is not because Amy is happily married with a lovely daughter. So after following all her story with TTT, I was waiting for the day she would announce a book was in the way about a sexy mechanic. What I wasn’t expecting was the heroine to be a writer. And that was really the cherry on the cake.
Meet Miles Hudson; sinfully hot, dirty talker, protective, caring, cute and badly hurt by love
Meet Kate Smith; thinking she is a boring writer while she has such a joyful and upbeat personality.
As soon as these two meets, the pull and magnetism around them is there. Their chemistry and funny banter were unstoppable. I laughed, I swooned and as a reader I could relate so much!!
“The cliché line you should say right now is, ‘Don’t worry baby, it’ll fit.’”
“But what if I like it to hurt a little?”
The fact Wait with Me is a book about a writer was entertaining because there were so many reference we know as a reader it was funny and even if all of this is fiction this felt so real!
The side-characters were also a huge plus to this book. I think Amy you found the next series to write about because Dean, Lynsey and even Miles’ sister need their own story! Keep going at TTT and bring us lots of fantastic stories like this one.
