Samatha Chase was a new author for me but the name Montgomery was not. One of my all-time favorite authors growing up wrote many books about a family names Montgomery so when I saw that name in the description I knew I had to read it.
I must say I was not disappointed. The book was on point with everything I grew up reading about this fictional family and Chase did a great job keeping true to the name.
I liked the heroine Emma who was caring, strong and somewhat of a tiny mess. Our hero Lucas was slightly self-center but caring and a true gentleman.
This story was very good with lots of great flesh out the storylines. It was a quick read and I loved how our characters had chemistry. I am excited to read book 2 to learn more about the Montgomery brothers and family.
I’m hooked on the Montgomery Brothers and can’t wait to read the rest of the series.
I actually listened to this one on Audiobook while on a road trip.
Mr. Montgomery has three sons that co-own his business with him. Although the older two sons are in the business full time, his youngest son Lucas has been a bit of a recluse for the past two years. Lucas was an NFL Quarterback with an injury that ended his promising career all too soon. Reluctantly, he joined his father and brothers in the Montgomery Business – but never wholeheartedly. Mr. Montgomery had notices for the past few months at their monthly meeting that Lucas has been quietly watching his executive assistant Emma. Small smiles shared here and there… Giving Mr. Montgomery an idea.
What happens next sends Lucas and Emma on a whirlwind weekend that neither of them expected.
This was a cute story that held my interest and piqued my curiosity to the continuation of the series. I loved Emma and Lucas together although at times they drove me insane…but that makes them that much more fun to read about. A quick read with a HEA. Definitely worth the read.
I’m a sucker for a sweet, winter read and this book did it. It was the perfect, cozy up by the fire, Hallmark type book.
Wait for Me ~ Family interference, gotta love it. This was a great series starter, I can’t wait to dive into book two. 🙂
Trust in Me ~ Jason is the typical middle child. Dead set on NOT finding someone at the office like his little brother did. Will dad play match maker again? Guess you will have to read it to find out!

My Review:
A career-ending injury didn’t just mess up Lucas’s knee; it messed up his head, robbed him of self-confidence and wiped out his identity. And as a result, he became a crabby hypersensitive and depressed hermit. His family allowed him two years as a recluse before their well-meaning but presumptuous ways got the better of them, and once it started, they couldn’t seem to stop. The storyline was entertaining and moved at a comfortable pace with heavy portions of angst and conflict and bits of steam and meddlesome family plotting before reaching that sweet HEA.
This is a bundle of Book 1 & 2 of the Mongomery series. We are introduced to Lucas & Jason, two of the brothers. Wait For Me is book 1 and is Lucas & Emma’s story. They had been fighting an attraction for some time. Lucas has been hiding away & his father sent his assistant, Emma to drag him back home. They ended up being trapped together in a snow storm and ended up acting on the attraction. When they are back home will they be able to stay together?
Book 2 is Jason & Maggie’s story. Jason is happy that his assistant Maggie is married. That way they can concentrate on business and not have any funny stuff happen. He just didn’t count on the fact that he would be attracted to her and have to fight it so hard. When Jason finds out that Maggie is pretending to be married to stop anyone from hitting on her, all bets are off. Will they give in to their attraction? Will anything come of it?
Both stories are cute romance HEA’s. The characters all are trying to fight the attraction and not get in too deep. None of them are ready for love. The plots are realistic and easy to follow but keep you interested in them until the end. In both cases, the characters have to learn to go outside themselves and trust the others. Good books!
