Dear Taron,I should have told you this a long time ago… was ponytail-pulling, ice down your shirt teasing, throw you in the lake screaming…
Strong, tanned arms and blue-green eyes over a heart-stopping, naughty grin…
Did I mention his tight end?
I gave him my first real kiss, my heart, my everything.
I said I’d wait for him…
I’m still waiting, because Taron Rhodes is still the man of my dreams,
And I have a secret that has his blue-green eyes.
Noel LaGrange stole my heart when she was only eighteen—pushing me off a flatbed and calling me a city slicker.
Her brother Sawyer would kick my ass if he knew how many times we made out that summer, how close we got.
Everything changed when Sawyer and I joined the military.
We were honorably discharged, but I didn’t go to her.
Instead, I went back to the city… where no amount of money, no amount of pills can heal this wound.
Only her whiskey eyes and dark hair, her slim arms and her sweet scent, give me hope.
I broke her heart just as surely as I broke mine, but I’m going back to make it right.
If she’s still waiting…
(WAIT FOR ME is a STAND-ALONE second-chance, military romance with a guaranteed HEA. No cheating. No cliffhangers.)

Wait for Me is a second chance romance that can be read as a standalone. It’s set in the same world as ‘Boss of Me’ and where we meet Taron (the Hero in this story) and where we get more history to him and his friends and their time in the military. I wasn’t surprised that this would be an emotional read, but I was surprised how Noel and Taron’s story made me feel so much.
Right from the prologue I knew I’d be in for quite a ride. I couldn’t turn the pages fast enough, I felt as if my heart was in my throat and at times I was trying to catch my breath. I was invested in this story and I couldn’t help but root so hard for Noel and Taron.
Taron and Noel meet when Taron goes home with Sawyer, his military friend and Noel’s brother to help Sawyer with work on his peach orchard. It was obvious as soon as Taron and Noel laid eyes on one another at the sparks that flew. The instant connection was felt within the pages. They experience undeniable chemistry and begin a whirlwind romance. They go into their romance with their eyes wide open though knowing that Taron is leaving for the Marines. Their feelings for each other are so strong and something neither of them have felt before, and knowing that the future is undetermined they decide to wait for each other no matter how long.
Wait for Me tugged at every heartstring. It’s a story that is both heartwarming and heartbreaking. It’s filled with overflowing emotions. You’ll laugh, cry and feel hope with Noel and Taron’s story. And I can’t not talk about Dove—that little girl stole my heart right from the beginning. Her relationship with Taron just melted my heart, it was so precious. I really enjoyed this beautiful story of first love and second chances.
Wait for Me is an emotional and slightly angsty military/best friend’s sister/brother’s best friend/second chance/small-town romance that will tug at your heartstrings.
This book has wonderful characters I fell in love with. I loved the family (familial as well as military) togetherness and the way they always supported each other. Taron was swoon-worthy. He is sweet and sexy and military. What more could you ask for??? He is a fellow Marine with Noel’s brother, Sawyer, and also his best friend. Noel is a sweet, strong young woman who has known a lot of loss and pain in her life but with the help of her brothers, they are surviving it together.
When Taron and Noel meet, the attraction is instant and mutual. They can’t resist one another but realize their time is limited. Taron leaves soon to go back on another mission bu that reason isn’t strong enough to keep them apart. Before he leaves, Noel promises to wait for him. Taron leaves and promises to return for her. They keep in constant contact while he’s away. Things happen and thier reunion and his return doesn’t go as planned. Cue the heartbreak.
This book had a ton of feels. It isn’t an easy love story but it is beautiful. I enjoyed the small town aspect of it and the close-knit feel of small town romance. Tia Louise does a wonderful job of addressing the heavy subject matter that can accompany military stories (i.e. PTSD). It is heartbreaking, romantic, funy, sexy, sweet, hopeful, and great world-building. I recommend reading it.
****ARC generously provided in exchange for an honest review.****
Noel, 18 years young, has endured a lot in her life already, is working at home on the peach farm, her brother Sawyer is leading. Their younger brother is also working there.
Sawyer enlisted for the military, where he met Taron, they are best friends since. Before they both leave for their assignment, Taron comes over to help with harvest.
Taron & Noel are drawn to one another and fall in love before he has to leave. Tragedy occurs during the assignment and Taron doesn’t come back to Noel as promised.
Fast forward a few years, after he gets his life straightened out, Taron returns to the LaGrange farm to hopefully have a second chance with Noel.
But can she forgive him for hurting her so badly?
Loved this cute small town second chance romance! Lovely characters, and I can see myself reading more from this group of friends and family!
I kindly received an arc and voluntarily left a review
Tia Louise takes us on a masterful story that tells a coming of age story of Noel LaGrange, a sweet but sassy Southern gal who has faced her fair share of tornadoes in life. Noel describes love as a butterfly and Taron Rhodes is hers. We get introduced to Taron in Boss of Me but this book can be read as a stand-alone. Taron is a young Marine set to ship out with his friends and contribute to the world. He doesn’t expect Noel or the tornadoes he faces after meeting her. Can he still be Noel’s butterfly years later? And can she save him from herself? Noel and Taron’s story has heat, heart, and humor making this my favorite book by Tia Louise yet!!
Love second chance romance. Taron is Sawyer’s best friend and when he sees his sister Noel he is instantly attracted to her. He’s helping out at their peach farm before they go into the service. They fall fast in love. Noel says she’ll wait for him. The mission leaves him injured and scarred, he doesn’t think he’s right for her so he pushes Noel away, breaking her heart. Years later, he’s better and wants to earn her heart back. She’s got a secret she’s kept from him. There is some intense parts that kept me engrossed in it. Definitely recommend this book, I loved it.
Second chance and best friend’s little sister tropes are always a hit or miss for me, but this newest book by Tia Louise really worked for me. I loved Noel and Talon’s story so much! It was so wonderful to get the full experience of their beginning and how they fell in love. From the very first instant, the chemistry between these two were intense and in the few weeks they were together, that attraction turned into so much love. They both knew that their time was limited with Talon having to leave for the marines but their connection was undeniable and they both decided to wait for each other.
Like in the last few books (I’ve read) by this author, I knew heartbreak was coming and it was rough. A particular scene with Noel after the break from Talon was gut wrenching, but so thankful that she had something to hold on to. Noel’s brothers, Sawyer and Leon were such an amazing support system to her. I really appreciated Sawyer’s reaction to the relationship between Noel and Talon. The sense of family is really strong in this book.
Even though there was not as much groveling like I normally like, this author wrote their story in a way that I was okay with that. There were so many swoony moments that completely melted my heart. Wait for Me was another beautiful story and looking forward to Sawyer’s story next.
WAIT FOR ME IS LIVE EARLY!!!!

This book hit me so hard in the feels I’m still crying! The ups and downs… The heartbreak… The love… oh my geez! My heart is swelling with pride for Tia Louise at this moment. I knew she was an amazing writer, but this book just might be my all time favorite. It’s definitely my favorite of 2019 thus far!! Taron & Noel go through so much as a couple. They fall in love and something so sudden, but life altering tears them apart for 7 years. Can they make it through, or will this rift keep them apart forever??Tia Louise
Noel takes over family orchard when her brother joins military. Right before they get deployed, he brings home Taron to help with harvest. Noel is attracted to Taron but will anything happen? Taron is leaving, will he ask her to wait for him?
Wait for Me is totally worth the wait! Taron and Noel are absolute perfection. Everything about them! If you are a fan of angst and second chances, this is your book. It had both in spades. Oh and let’s not forget the whole forbidden friend/little sister aspect. YES, please!!
I think I said this last time, but I will say it again. I think Tia Louise gets better and better with her writing. She writes characters that you can’t help, but love. Dove especially! She steals the show! Her and Taron’s bond was so incredibly sweet. I felt like I was transported into the story while reading Wait for Me. I felt Noel’s pain and Taron’s longing. There were so many feels for me in this book.
Wait for Me is a must-read!!!
This book is SUPERB , EXCELLENT,OUTSTANDING,MARVELLOUS,BRILLIANT.!!!..All the amazing words you could ever think of…I was only 20% into this story and I was in Love with it I could not get enough and I knew that this was a winner.
I want to go on a permanent vacation inside Tia Louise’s mind and live in ALL the different worlds that she creates,a one way ticket to every small town and place she materialises inside her genius imagination.Because I have loved visiting every single one,and the one in Wait For Me is No exception,Tia’s writing is beautifully descriptive.I could just imagine myself on the Peach farm in the smouldering heat, the smell of peaches in the air and watching Taron and Noel’s Love blossom before my eyes.
I think Tia touched my very Soul with this story ,her writing just gets better everytime, her words flowing through you effortlessy until you are completely consumed and lose all track of time.
I Loved Taron I just wanted to hug him for all the trauma and pain he had to deal with he started out as such a friendly ,sexy , sweet, fun loving guy . But going away to serve his country left him broken, and haunted by what he had experienced while away. ,I Love Noel she was so young and naive at first but grew into a strong ,forgiving, successful woman she is a survivor ,they are both characters that you just want everything to work out for, even the side characters were amazing.
I am not going to tell you in this review much about this story Because going in blind will give you the best experience,it is a tale of mixed emotions of a young love born of hope and promise only to be broken by seperation, pain and addiction. It is a story about hope ,redemption, second chances and forgiveness. It will make you cry I felt the heatbreak on my tongue when I was crying with all the feels and it will make you smile feeling the joy pulling on my heart when happier times touched me.
This book is so special.
I Love it so much and enjoyed every single word ,Taron and Noel are unforgettable, they are one of my favourite couples and Wait for Me is one of my Top reads and deserves a Gazillion STARS
I Highly recommend it.
Wait For Me is an emotional second chance romance with a surprise baby thrown in. I love Taron and Noel so much. Their journey was definitely an emotional one. I’m excited to see what’s next from Tia Louise.
I devoured this book faster than a Southern Peach! I really enjoyed Taron and Noel’s story. Taron certainly checked all the boxes for an amazing book boyfriend too! He is now standing tall at the top of my “Favorites” list.
I loved how Taron and Noel meet and get together. They were the definition of summer loves and boy do they fall hard! There are some serious obstacles and issues that are addressed in this book and just like everything else that she does, Tia nailed them! I swear that each book, each story gets better and better! I am already looking forward to reading their story again!!!
This book started out really strong…I really like the way Taron and Noel couldn’t stay away from each other. I loved the banter and how easy they seem to fit each other. But then the story did dial down a little for me but it was still such a enjoyable read.
I loved that they didn’t rush back into each other arms.
They were both pretty hurt with everything that happened between them 6 years ago and they needed time to grow and become stronger before they could get their HEA they deserved.
I think the ending was perfect for this story and i hope we’ll get to see more of this little family in the future.

Wait for Me is a stand alone romance by the amazing Tia Louise. Every one of her books continues to amaze me and this book did just that. The hero you will meet, Taron, was introduced in the previous book, Boss of Me, but it is not required that you read it.
Taron Rhodes wants to do something to make a difference in the world. So, he and his three best friends, Sawyer, Patton and Marley joined the marines. They are just out of basic and have a few weeks off before they report back. So Taron has gone home with Sawyer to his peach grove to help with the summer harvest. He’s looking forward to the peace and quiet, to the beautiful countryside.. But when he walked into that farmhouse kitchen and saw her standing there, Sawyer’s younger sister, everything stopped. And instantly, his reason for living changed.
Noel LaGrange is eighteen years old and has just finished high school. She’s getting ready to start college and has big ideas on ways to use the peaches on her and her brother’s farm. Noel loves her life and knows it will always be here, among the peaches.
The day Taron walked into her kitchen, she couldn’t believe how beautiful he was. And when he spoke, his voice curled around her like a warm blanket. She knew this man would be important to her. She just didn’t know how much.
“If you ever need saving, I want to save you.”
“And I’ll save you back.”
During their short time together, Taron and Noel fall fast and hard. They try to keep their feelings secret. They don’t know how Sawyer would react. And, they just want to keep the beautiful feelings they share to themselves. But the day fast approaches when Taron has to leave. Their love is real and Noel knows she will wait for him as long as it takes for him to come back to her.
“This is what heaven must be like. Heaven is finding the thing you can’t live without and being able to hold it. Hell is knowing you’ll have to let it go.”
Noel and Taron keep in touch constantly until something happens that changes everything. Taron and his friends are discharged honorably but he can’t return to Noel. Instead he goes back to Nashville to work for Patton. He’s not the man Noel deserves. He’s not the man he used to be.
This is such a beautiful book. It’s a story of finding the one you are destined to be with. Just when you think things can’t be any better, the bottom is dropped out of everything. But that’s the beauty of true love, finding your way back. Taron will have to earn back Noel’s trust, her love. But he is determined to do whatever it takes, to be the man he should be for her.
Once you pick this up, you’re not going to want to put it down. Tia has such a beautiful way of telling her stories. I can’t wait to see what she does next.
This gifted author had once again blown me away with Taron and Noel’s story. Taron is in the marines and when he goes home with his best friend, he is instantly attracted to Noel, but she is off limits, as she is Sawyers younger sister. This is a beautifully written 2nd chance romance story which is emotional, with undeniable chemistry, and is a steamy read with an in-depth and riveting plot. I was totally captivated throughout this addictive page turner and cannot wait to read more from this exceptional author.
“There is a moment when you close a book and reflect on what you had just read. In this moment, I am truly blow away by the passion Ms. Louise has when writing. You are sucked into this book as if your watching it unfold right before your eyes.”
Taron and Noel are both such strong, adaptable, passionate characters.
After meeting Taron, Noel knows that his life will be at risk when he is called for duty. They both agree that they will do what they need to do to make their love grow, and the relationship last. Although life has a way of throwing things off track. Can they continue to have a relationship when contact has been cut off?
Will their love be strong enough to stand the test of time? Or will darkness creep in and hold them captive?
I strongly urge you to read this outstanding story! I was completely in tears, broken, and sobbing. And yet, Tia slowly built the story back up to absolutely devour. Wait For Me in my opinion, is the best book Ms. Louise has written!
Second chance romance
Small town romance
Brother’s best friend
Steamy 5 star read
Secret baby
Dual pov
Wait for Me is hands down on my favorite Tia Louise novels to date. I completely fell in love with this story, the characters, just everything. It was emotional, heartbreaking and truly beautiful.
When I started reading this story I was thinking to myself that my emotions were safe, that I wouldn’t need a whole box of tissues to get through it. Boy was I sure wrong, I was about 45% into the story and BAM the floodgates just opened and the emotions started to really kick in for me. Of course, as my heart got completely shattered it was slowly mended back together in the most beautiful way.
The chemistry between Noel and Taron was there from the start. It was instant. It was consuming. I loved them. I loved that despite the distance they managed to find a way to make things work. Flash forward years later, things have changed in major ways for the both of them, but the chemistry was still there. Maybe even stronger than before.
This book has something for everything when it comes to tropes. Whether you love military romances, small town romances, second chance romances, friend’s little sister or all of the above this story will steal your heart and never give it back. A MUST READ!
Taron and Noel has my heart from the beginning of the book until the epilogue. First of all, Sawyer was an awesome brother. He knew his best friend and his little sister fell in love the minute they met and he never interfered. Taron and Noel started slow and then things heated up. It was fascinating to read how their love came to be. When Taron was deployed together with Sawyer the way him and Noel kept in touch was cute. Their love was genuine and strong no matter how far they were from each other. Then one mission changed everything. Taron wasn’t the same and Noel tried but he was in such a dark place and it was heartbreaking for both of them. Fast forward 7 years and Taron is ready and Sawyer had his back and it was so adorable. The youngest brother Leon wasn’t too forgiven but with time he came around. And of course Noel had a secret of her own and Taron took it in stride and it made my heart burst. These two deserved their HEA and actually deserve another story because of how freaking adorable they were. I loved them and their family. And of course the four brothers in arm.
Oh . My . Goodness!!!
And again one of Ms. Louise’s books rendered me speechless!
Taron and Noel are so perfect for each other that there are no words to describe it adequately …
Their blooming love at first sight, the wonder and butterfly-feelings of young love… so romantic, so wonderful and delicately described! It made me feel all warm and fuzzy and blissful myself…
The bitter-sweet knowledge that they have to part ways… again so perfectly captured in words! It’s gut-wrenching and elating at the same time.
And later on all these deep and overwhelming feelings… again so accurately described… this book literally shattered me, heart, soul and mind!
And don’t get me started with Dove. She is the most perfect little peach princess imaginable! I immediately fell in love with her!
This book spoke to me, in a deep, in a fundamental way that I have rarely experienced before. I felt the protagonists’ love and agony, hopelessness and joy, pain and bliss on a molecular level as if it were my own, all because Ms. Louise has a way with words that borders on magic!
This book is pure perfection!
